1821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 13, 2021, 10:32:24 PM
Do you know what's the first game this season?

Schedules are not up yet but it's one thing for sure, every game schedule will be a triple-header and might add some additional days compared to the usual Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday schedule.

That will makes the All-Filipino Conference be finished in just 2 months.

They have plenty of time for another conference if there will no problem on the way, if the league wants to go for it.
1822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: USA Basketball loss odds on: July 13, 2021, 10:17:18 PM
It’s been sad watching the US team play. Almost every trip down the floor they try to lean into a foul and the referees just look at them like they’re crazy.

I know it's just an exhibition match so we should not take their losses as a big deal. When the Olympics come, Nigeria nor Australia won't stand a chance at Team USA.

Let's not put a big issue on their 2 losses despite they are a TEAM USA that shouldn't be unbeatable by these countries.

We will see the real action in the actual event.
1823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nigerian government changing the state of lotteries on: July 13, 2021, 10:05:54 PM
They are not the only country that imposed additional taxes some European countries are also doing this, this is a measure to increase revenues because countries are losing taxes from other industry and Nigerian move although bad for gambling casinos have no choice but to impose it on their most active industry and that includes casinos and gaming companies.

It's not bad for gambling casinos because they are generating more income than their usual during pandemic without paying an increased tax.

That additional tax is just a piece of candy to them compare to their whole revenue. If implemented it shouldn't be a problem paying for an additional tax since they will continue to perform more and their clients will still play with them.

The country will be benefited from it.

1825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: July 07, 2021, 08:25:12 PM
You can see games with very basic graphics and design, simple in the options for the player and not that engaging yet they do "hook" people in them.

Maybe people got hooked on the bonuses and good prizes on that casino despite the basic graphics and design.

Most gamblers care for that more than the design. And if the site is always reachable, that's a good characteristic.
1826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: July 07, 2021, 08:07:46 PM
I don't think there's anything wrong about having gambling discussions with other users that haven't gamble

You are right here so I don't understand how it became an issue wherein a user that joined a signature campaign with a gambling requirement should also be a gambler in real life.

I've read somewhere that how can be a user can make constructive posts on the gambling section if they don't gamble in real life. Seriously???
1827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 03, 2021, 12:04:35 PM
SEMI-BUBBLE SETUP

What does this mean?

- Do players will stay there for the rest of the season as a bubble can't be called a bubble if players and people inside will regularly go in and out of the venue.
- Do players allows to go out after each game but need to do regular checking every time they will enter the venue. It will be expensive.

There's no possible bubble area around Ynares for players to check in compare to Clark where the venue and court are within a single area. Outside Ynares, it's a busy city so I don't know how a semi-bubble setup will look like.

What do you think guys?
1828  Economy / Gambling / Re: best bitcoin casino that allow USA players or accepted use of VPN ! on: July 03, 2021, 11:32:11 AM
So it is important to read T&C before setting up an account on any gambling website to prepare yourself in advance.

Especially the part of:

- using VPN
- supported countries
- restricted regions
- KYC

These are sometimes the reasons why users got banned or restricted from a gambling site especially that restricted regions as they should put that noticed right at the registration but sometimes users from restricted regions, using the IP there can still pass the registration. And much better if they totally removed the access of the site at those regions.
1829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fully vaccinated individuals now spared of masks in the casinos in Vegas on: July 03, 2021, 11:10:12 AM
Too much controversy and issues with Sinovac. Those irregularities also happened on other brands and during their early trials, it's expected to have some issues but as time is progressing, they are developing a much more good brand.

I was vaccinated fully with Sinovac just a few weeks ago as it was required to my office but it doesn't mean I will now trust my future to the vaccine. I didn't feel anything until now and even willing to undergo a yearly boost of the same vaccine.

Even you are vaccinated with Pfizer, Moderna, or any top brands over Sinovac, it depends on your body how to react to it.
1830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Big companies finally had enough of the excessive tax on: July 03, 2021, 10:26:39 AM
Honestly, 20% is big enough and that is like we are paying more on taxes rather than our winnings, maybe 10% is acceptable and it was fair for all but 20% is excessive.

Casino owners and operators can afford it. But it should be applied slowly like start first from additional 5% then 10% and so on, so that the company can adjust and know what's coming. Casino's revenue is so huge so they can cover that 20% later on since gamblers won't stop gambling because of that.

Even the casinos will pay an additional 20%, it doesn't mean their customers will bear it. There's a certain tier before taxing gambling winnings. If you won like $100, $200, $500, you might get it whole or if there's an associated tax, you won't feel it much.
1831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 03, 2021, 10:06:43 AM
Errol Spence is putting all his time into training while Manny Pacquiao is busy having an exchange conversation with the government. He is creating his own distraction.

The timing is really bad as he can focus on the idea of his ambition for a higher position after the fight. And because the government is responding to his statement then he will respond too and it will now be a never-ending discussion. He is so sure about his supporting documents about corruption but why just now? He can show that a much early and even can form an investigation on the Senate if he's really serious about fighting the corruption.

But instead, he does it now as he's making sound to the election. I don't know what to think now.
1832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: July 03, 2021, 09:40:47 AM
I also noticed many more gambling website promotion and advertising going in for long term. The market competition on online gambling is really tight, and it seems that they're actually profiting a good amount of money.

These site owners turned the pandemic to their advantage.

It's a risk but they face it as they believed more people will gamble during the pandemic as they have no choice. Another risk is, they don't know if these people will like the idea of crypto gambling as others will stay on fiat online casinos to make things more convenient.

And the effort is paid off. I see some new sites here that able to stay despite the strong competition. Some are now popular and reputable.
1833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: To what extent can sport be strengthened with cryptocurrencies on: July 03, 2021, 09:16:55 AM
we are in times when the blockchain through cryptocurrencies is entering a new moment for sports, before which and how far will we advance in this new scenario?

For how far, no one knows. But one thing for sure, a positive one.

The integration of crypto into a sport is a good thing as it helps promote the sports, like if there's an event/s and for crypto in general - benefits and advantages.

With that, the target audience becomes wider and wider, and expect that it will bring impact to the awareness of crypto globally.
1834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Important Factors while joining a new Casino on: July 03, 2021, 08:57:11 AM
So, what are the factors you look at when you want to try a new casino?

At most cases, I won't try it. I will wait for people's reviews instead. Give them at least 2-3 weeks, there should be honest reviews available now.

I agree with the mentioned above about how they are advertising the site. Here in Bitcointalk, a new gambling site that considers having an Announcement Thread here and at some point, decided to open a signature campaign is already a big plus to me since they want to get in touch with the community. A good site should always act like that as it creates a good bond between them and their users. That's where trust was first built.
1835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 02, 2021, 12:28:02 AM
There will be no Trae Young for the Hawks.
Atlanta Hawks' Trae Young ruled out for Game 5 vs. Milwaukee Bucks

There will be no Giannis Antetokounmpo for the Bucks.
Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo ruled out of Game 5 of Eastern Conference finals

Both teams are just matched for me. Like to see how both team's rosters will adjust now that their main scorers will be on the sideline.

Can't say who will win that match. It's unpredictable but I'm rooting for the Bucks to win on Game 5.
1836  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pragmatic play slots not available in my region on: July 02, 2021, 12:08:58 AM
Hi, I love slots and I play slots whenever I have a chance to but as much as I love playing slots I don't really earn much in them. Nostly the good games are not available in my region and it really sucks. Can someone explain why they don't give access to games with great payout to people from other regions? I find it quite unfair.

Same here in my region. I was inspired by some videos or shared stories of some users who won big at Pragmatic Plays but never a chance to play with their slots due to restricted regions issues. Can't still understand why other providers allow users from certain regions at most but not in the case with Pragmatic plays.

I've also checked their Terms and see nothing about restricted regions or countries.

Hopefully, someday I can have a taste of playing at their slots.
1837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 01, 2021, 10:20:38 PM
Gilas was massacred. They kept up with the game until halftime but the Dominican Republic outscored them at 3rd until the end and never have a chance to come back. Although it's already expected that they are the underdog and might lose in that game, their performance got weaken after being outscored. If only they got a chance to close the game, another surprised again by the PH.

But the cadets are doing good so far. It's a good experience to lose.

1838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: July 01, 2021, 10:06:22 PM
Due to the corona virus pandemics situations most of the people in the world passing his time with no work. They have to spend more time with cryptocurrencies market, casino and gambling.

Online gambling is not always pointing to crypto gambling. There's a fiat online casino and that's where most people gamble during the pandemic.

There is even news of some fiat casinos that become top during the global pandemic, especially within the European region.

We can actually say that crypto gambling also grows during that time but we can't just say that people mostly spend their time in crypto stuffs in general.
1839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting to Risk Free Fights on: July 01, 2021, 09:50:52 PM
Unless you're talking about arbitrage sportsbetting, I don't see any risk-free bets here.

Arbitrage betting or not, there's no such thing as risk-free bets. Can you explain how arbitrage sports betting becomes a risk-free bet?

The actions are still the same either the bettor uses the usual and common betting or applies some other forms of betting. The bettor will bet to an odds relatively below 1.2 as they think, it's a sure win which is not.

I can't see how the risk will be minimized by doing arbitrage betting.
1840  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto-Casinos and KYC on: July 01, 2021, 09:34:08 PM
some gambling platforms often do KYC when they get users to withdraw the profits they get with very large amounts, this is done in my opinion because this gambling place wants to know who these people are and maybe the positive side is that one day they will will get interesting offers from the gambling place which they can send to an email address or other.

I don't understand what are you trying to point there.  Can you explain clearly?

Do you mean a recognition of the gambling site on the location/area/region of that one that will be involved in their KYC? I can't see any connection in both particular cases.

If KYC is requested by those large winnings, there is no other purpose of it rather than the site wants the personal information of the winner.
