1821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should government consider bitcoin as a legal global currency? on: January 30, 2018, 11:11:16 PM
I really wish that bitcoin will be legalized in my country, it can make bitcoin grow faster  and then I can  easily spend bitcoin every where, but unfortunately that will not happened soon bitcoin  still consider as a dangerous currency, my government afraid that we are going to used it for money laundering and buying illegal things
1822  Other / Meta / The advantages and disadvantages of the new merit system on: January 30, 2018, 03:17:43 PM
I am trying to collect the information and opinion from the the users about the new merit system, hopefully this can be the reference to upgrade the new merit system

Advantages

-there will be less spammer
-campaign manager will be easier to choose the candidate for the campaign (if the system is not abused yet)

Quote
1. It forces you to level up your game, learn things, make good post, and in a result it will make the better version of you. It is not easy but it is not an impossible task if you realize the meaning of the system.
2. Less spammer, well it depends. If people care enough about merits, then it would increase the post quality, but if they are not, then they can still spam.
3. Less account farmer. This is serious matter, if we can decrease account farmer, then other people who deserves to be on a campaign can join a campaign ( by deserves I mean if someone is a great poster and a great forum-person, then it would be a sad thing if they don't get the job just because someone is a account farmer with many low quality posts)
4. Less competitor in a sig campaign. In the future, manager will only select people with higher merit in each of the rank system, and maybe put it as requirement to get a higher payment.

Disadvantages

- it will take more time to rank up
-the red tag member will have more value, although red tag member can't join most of the campaign, but they will have the value to farm merit
1823  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: ICOs asking for passport...is it safe? on: January 30, 2018, 08:35:02 AM
It has been one of the condition for purchasing ICO, most of the ICO now are heavy regulated, so it has becone requirements to buy ICO, I dont feel safe to hand over my identity to unknown site, but now most of exchanges now also require kyc documents, so if you still want to stay in crypto world, one day you will also need to hand over your identity
1824  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good news from Ripple (XRP) on: January 30, 2018, 05:56:25 AM
Since the early of the year ripple show a great growth, when the rumors of xrp being backed up by big companies the price has spike up, and  that is the  one that makes xrp now has been one of the focus of investors,. Xrp got a big future ahead, so it is really recommended to invest in xrp
1825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will 2017 gains ever happen again? on: January 29, 2018, 11:42:03 PM
Yes it still can happened but this time the situation has changed, there are tons of alt coin that appeared and split the investors investment, the government now paying attention to crypto and want to regulated crypto, that makes crypto difficult to run wild again, but once it's regulated and big companies want to accept the crypto for payment then the price will soar high again, so we need to wait and see what will happened next
1826  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptos be so volatile forever? on: January 29, 2018, 11:07:11 PM
It will never end, this is the downside of decentralised currency, when no one is controlling the price could go wild bit this also could be the advantage for traders, when volatility coming, it will be the perfect time to trade, the volatility will depend on the users that do transaction, and with this  high volatility some people say that it's not suitable to become a currency
1827  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC dominance halved on: January 29, 2018, 01:39:10 PM
Its not wrong that bitcoin dominance is decreasing and a lot of investors has swapped to alt coin to make profit and some of them not using bitcoin anymore because the fee ia super expensive, if the developer could decerease the fee and increase the speed transaction then people will back to bitcoin, so I don't really worry about the dominance, if bitcoin could upgrade then its just the matter of time people back to invest btc
1828  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This can be addictive!! on: January 29, 2018, 03:36:12 AM
When you start trading in the first time you will keep on checking the price but once you realise that the price wont be too far even though that you keep on checking it, then you will slowly reduced the checking frequency and rely on apps to alert you, I think this is more healthy habit rather than keep on watching the chart
1829  Economy / Economics / Re: India's Banks shut down Cyptocurrency trading accounts on: January 28, 2018, 11:19:02 PM
Its such a shame that the government see crypto currencies as a threat, crypto currencies can be the future currency that help to make transactions easier, the government shouldn't be banning crypto but should regulated it, crypto got a huge potential to help people out from poverty
1830  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can actually buy a lot of things with Bitcoin on: January 28, 2018, 07:40:03 AM
In my country it's forbidden to accept bitcoin as payment, the legal currency for payment is still fiat, bitcoin is only allowed as investment and trading, so you absolutely cant buy anything with bitcoin or any alt coins in my country, but you still.can buy online things using bitcoin
1831  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Merit not for sale! on: January 28, 2018, 05:42:39 AM
I hope everybody would be fair about this new feature implemented by admin theymos.
This thread is for the purpose of awareness that merit is given to a constructive and quality post. I have made a thread here in the market place section, hoping that there will not be such things like buying and selling merits. Let's work with our own asses.

P.S.
OP  is not asking attention, read and understand.  Obedience is better than sacrifice.
It's a bad thing to buy merit for some reason, but it's possible since some of the signature campaign required a high/additional merit as possible ( to add some additional payment sounds like promotion what ever ) . But if you are bright and a good minded bitcoiner, it's easy to have it since you have sense in every thing you want to add on different threads. Just look for some interesting topic and join trading ideas with them.

It's absolutely bad things and against the forum rules  to buy or selling merits, merits  maybe  will be yhe requirement to join campaign, but the campaign manager will also check the quality of the  post, so although you got the high merit but when the manager check  your  post quality maybe you wont be accepted either, so you need  to earn your merit in a correct manner
1832  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Another bad news from japan on: January 28, 2018, 01:12:26 AM
This is bad, people will now afraid to put their fund in exchanges, and this could caused people to quit trading crypto, the hackers make crypto currencies reputation tainted, and this can become lesson for other exchanges to never underestimate the security system, hackers nowadays is lurking  everywhere and wait for the chances to steal the fund, hopefully there will be refund and everything can back to normal
1833  Economy / Economics / Re: how can the beggars access Bitcoin? on: January 27, 2018, 04:45:58 AM
I personally think that paper money will not be replaced by bitcoin but if its happened then a lot of the city infrastructure will be changed, beggar will easily get accessed to internet and there will be a cheap smartphone, I think they will beg using a card board written the bitcoin address
1834  Other / Meta / Re: Merit is the evil of the Forum. on: January 27, 2018, 12:19:15 AM
For me it's still to early to say that this system only benefits for high ranked accounts, all system is not perfect in the beginning and with the time goes on there will be more development, I think Theymos make a small step to fight spammers and we should appreciate and support it
1835  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Why has China declared war on bitcoin and digital currencies? on: January 26, 2018, 11:13:21 PM
I think the china government want to control every transaction that the citizens make, the China government is famous for its tight supervision for every thing, and the government see crypto currencies as something threatening, it can caused people to avoid tax and doing money laundering with it, and the government shutting down the ICO because there are so many people scammed through ICO
1836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling as investment? on: January 25, 2018, 11:09:31 PM
If you  been lure into this then you aren't thinking clearly, why should you believe your money to the gambler, if the person is a great gambler he won't need any of your money, because if you keep on winning you can easily multiply your money, and the 10% refund is a fake, there will be  a time  he will said that he got no money to pay you
1837  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will never be used for trading. Discuss. on: January 25, 2018, 04:38:36 AM
Bitcoin  is the main currency if you are trading in crypto currencies, the fee for bitcoin is high because the price is expensive, however the slow transaction need to be fixed, bitcoin had been the main currency for a long time and most of people know bitcoin, despite the fee and speed, bitcoin still the most famous among other coin, but slowly people will swap to other coin if the problem is not fixed
1838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: With which coin would you like to wager in a casino? on: January 25, 2018, 12:20:43 AM
I like to used ltc and eth, both of them got a good confirmation speed and in other han,  both of the coins can be used as investment, so I can used it for gambling and hold it for investment, so its double advantage for me, previously I used doge to play but since the price keep on dropping I don't used it anymore, when I won with doge I don't feel winning anything because the asset I got is dropping although my doge increased
1839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Is Telegram the new measure of ICO success? on: January 24, 2018, 11:10:19 PM
Not really, some of the members are being paid to joined the telegram and not all people in the telegram will buy ICO, some of them only joined and asked for information, more members in telegram means more people are interested in that coin but that can't be the measurement of the ICO successful
1840  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leave full time office job to trade crypto? on: January 24, 2018, 06:07:49 AM
I think it is a bold move to quit your daily job for crypto as we know trading job is unpredictable, but I ever have that thought, it's easier to earn in crypto than in office job, my earning in crypto is almost the same with my salary, and I only spend around 2 hours, but because bitcoin is under a heavy surveillance by my government, I dont really dare to quit for now
