What other places are there to buy gold/silver for BTC? I'm looking to buy some and have no desire to use Coinabul.
I've ordered gold coins from amagimetals.com and just got them the other day. They are the cheapest I've been able to find (for BTC). Currently their Krugerrands are 6% cheaper than bitcoincommodities.com and their Maple Leafs are 5.5% cheaper than bitcoincommodities.com. Their Eagles are 4.5% cheaper. Goldsilverbitcoin.com is still cheaper than both Amagi and Bitcoin Commodities. You can buy AND sell metals/bitcoin too. EDIT: Amagi's prices in BTC are cheaper, but they charge you a 1% processing fee at checkout. Goldsilverbitcoin.com doesn't charge anything. Yeah looks like all their shit is free right now too..

I put in a request for a list of the trusted nodes. Also requested that they be posted public somewhere. I'll let you know when I get a response!
Yeah, so did I, hopefully someone will reply. I'm a little disappointed at the response to this attack, one dev suggested backing up blockchains every hour, I'm not sure what that would accomplish, another went on a useless diatribe here. No real attempt at actually mitigating anything.

Speaking of network hashrate, will you guys be porting/preserving the getnetworkhashps method to 0.8.x or are you dropping it like Bitcoin did?

So FTC has been the most profitable coin to mine on and off for the past 24hours and multipool is ignoring it, forcing 66MH/s worth of miners to bypass the mutipool feature and point directly at the FTC pool. Tell me the reason you have multipool again?
The 66MH/s might as well be using any old FTC pool.
The 66MH/s might as well not be mining. Have you not been following what is happening in the FTC world? All the blocks that are mined are being 51% attacked, and valid blocks found are being orphaned. So if all the blocks you find disappear before you get them, why should Multipool point all of the miners at a problem coin atm? Of course I have been following it, there has been an attack and it's up to pool owners to make sure they peer with trusted nodes. The more hashing power the less likely the attack will succeed, so I thank the FTC miners that kept with it. I don't know who the trusted nodes are, I haven't heard shit from the FTC devs, as far as I know they aren't posting here and FTC forums are down. If this coin is so great they should be supporting it here. I can't make the decision to point the pool's hashing power at FTC just to help them out and having people lose out on their earnings. When this happened with SXC I just shut it down. I left the FTC pool up so that if people want to mine FTC they can mine it directly. And it's obivous that we don't have anywhere near the hashing power to match the attackers, otherwise all of our blocks wouldn't be getting orphaned. Uh, I've been on the Feathercoin forums all day. I'm guessing you're using the wrong link. It is: http://forum.feathercoin.com/It hasn't gone down at all that I know of. On that note, for the time being I agree that leaving FTC off the multipool is a good idea. Hopefully they get the issues resolved soon. The forum was definitely getting DOSd last night and at some point today (I tried to access it earlier and got a MySQL error). But anyway, if someone was to distribute a list of trusted nodes I think that'd be a great step toward combating the attacks.

flound1129, Clicking on the block # inside "LAST 30 BLOCKS FOUND" alt currencies would take the user to the BTC blockchain - I think it is a bug. Use alternative blockchains for alt currencies Ex: http://blockexplorer.vircurpool.com/chain/MinCoin is for for MNC Thank you Yeah this is a long standing bug that I still haven't gotten the chance to fix.

Good work with the pool; nice to see the multiport mining working.
I think we should avoid mining FTC until the attacks on the network have subsided, though.
FTC is out and will not be back until things settle.

Hello I've mined ftc since 21.05 to 08.06 (yesterday). Around 380 kH/s on 1x7850 I've stopped mining yesterday cause of much people came to mine ftc and found one block. Last time I saw ftc pool stats it said I had around 125 FTC and the Est. Time To Find Block was 3 times smaller than the Time Since Last Block, so I don't think the ppls would cut my earning 100times Today I recieved "Your balance of 1.02600828 has exceeded your automatic..." could you say me it's ok? My name on the pool is the same.
Hi, there were many issues on the FTC network yesterday, and several blocks were orphaned. This resulted in the wallet emptying itself as some blocks were paid at 20 confirms and then later orphaned. If you still have a balance in your account you should be able to withdraw it now.

Hi,
Is there any way to unlock a payment address?
Cheers,
Email me your username and I will unlock it.

Because of my poor english i can't explain very well, let the picture speak: Why is this? And why my shares reduse? Fixed now. You should see your balance update within a few minutes.

I would strongly advise against using any client that was not put out by the official MNC devs.

Multiport stats page is now live. The data is a bit sparse at the moment but it should give an idea of what's been going on for the past 24 hours.

Looks like we found another FTC block, seems like people want to mine it enough that they switched from the multiport to directly mining it.
Do you guys want it back on the multiport? I'm going to have to increase confirms back up to 120.
I do! I was going to swap to another pool for FTC while waiting for you to fix the problems, but this will resolve it too, :p. If this block isn't orphaned, and nobody else complains, I'll add it back in the morning. Orphaned On IRC they're saying there's another fork.

If this block isn't orphaned, and nobody else complains, I'll add it back in the morning. Sounds perfect. Thanks! According to the FTC forums, the problem was caused by someone running a 51% attack on the pools, plus DDOS'ing some. They said the has rate went from 400MH/s to over 1.5GH/s and then it started getting tons of orphans from one of the pools. It appears to be fixed now. I suspected this was the case. Was the 51% successful?

Mincoin client update... (It is not the one on the front page... you have to get it from one of the pool-operators who created it.)
It says 6.0.3 (oddly enough, but it is actually v0.6.4.0-g9498fec-beta For the QT client GUI) the one on the front page was 6.3.0 which does not seem to actually work. Who knows what is going on there? Another "copy-paste" coin that dies, because no-one actually knows how to program it, that created it from a previously flawed system.
Seems a lot is failing in the any-coin world...
I am solo-mining, difficulty 0.363099 (23.8K)... on CGminer 3.2.0 & 3.2.1 (3.1.0 didn't work)
Link? http://www.vircurpool.com/qt/mincoin-qt-v6.0.4.zipNo I meant, can you link to the post?

I've lost my FTC earnings when you removed it from multi pool. User name: theprophecy
I had to revert payments for the blocks that were orphaned during the network fork today.

I don't think YAC can be scrypt mined. Looks like you're right, I'll remove that from the poll.
