are there plans of putting a fee on that node? could be a good nastfans thing to do. If you're mining on someone else's pool, you have to give someone a fee -- might as well make it naaaastyfans.

That does sound like a great idea. I think we can do better than a standard P2Pool node though. Wink

So I just got my erupters in.  Do i put the BRG miner to nastyfans.org:9332?  I still get payouts when i use my address right?  This is not just donated but im still helping correct?

Correct - if you use your address as your login and password you'll receive it - as an additional check - go to http://p2pool.info and you should see your address after some time running.

I don't believe that is correct. We are using modified software and the payout system is not yet in place. If you point a miner at the NastyFans.org pool, you will be donating your hashing power at this time.

How much to ship one to the Netherlands? (all risks accepted)

One is not a lot but I just like to have these coins and BTC related things for novelty use.

There is 1 flat shipping cost for everyone.  It is BTC0.05.  Make sure to include your entire shipping address as it would need to be included on a package from the US (including your country) and also make sure to acknowledge the international shipping risks in your signed message on your address (posts on here can be edited).  Thanks!

I shipped out everyone's orders today, except orders asking for airtites.  I am still waiting on those to be delivered.

Mjbmonetarymetals was nice enough to make this image for me.   Grin

Can we get an update from OgNasty or Casascius?

I haven't heard anything since I placed the order.

But a "share" on bitfunder = 1 seat, right?

(And bitfunder just crashed for me, nice timing :p)

Read the BitFunder profile for the pass-thru as it contains need to know information.  100 BitFunder "shares" = 1 NastyFans seat.

So, to own shares of nasty mining hashrate, one buys seats in nastyfans? (or nastyfans shares on bitfunder), am I right?

Confusing to see 2 names being used mixed

Technically speaking, you can't own "shares" of Nasty Mining.  You can own "seats" in the NastyFans fan club, which receive weekly distributions from the public donation address.  However, you are correct that seats can be purchased via www.nastyfans.org or the pass-thrus on BitFunder & BTCT.

UPDATE:
THE COINS HAVE ARRIVED AND THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL!  I will package up all of the pre-orders and ship them out tomorrow evening.

Could you post pictures? I'd place my order ASAP if I like them.

Sure.  Although I'm working with a camera phone and I'll admit the shots are much less beautiful than the coins.  Hopefully Carnth and a few others will display their photography magic and get some good shots early next week.   Smiley

My next question is probably to OG Nasty.. If we all used the P2Pool you've got set up to do our individual mining, would that have a detrimental affect in terms of bandwidth?  If so, then I'll just use a different node..

Bandwidth isn't a real big issue.  I don't see enough people mining with us immediately to cause issues, and anything can be upgraded.

UPDATE:
The 1g silver NastyFans coins have arrived and they are beautiful.  I'll be shipping these out tomorrow evening.  If anyone wants to grab a couple, check out the below thread.  As stated, 0.01 BTC from the sale of each coin will be donated to NastyFans.

Thank you I will order soon Smiley Do they come in a airtight capsule like other silver or gold coins?

I have obtained a limited quantity of airtites that will fit these coins.  They are available for an additional BTC0.005 per coin.  Anyone who has already ordered and would like to upgrade their order to contain airtites, please feel free to send the correct amount to the payment address and let me know via PM.

Butterfly labs already delaying till February.  He says only a few will be shipped at the end of the year which I highly doubt.

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/monarch-discussion/4420-what-monarch-group-order.html#post53319

The first "bullet run" that will ship by the end of the year will be very small and the timeline and details have already been made public.  We are all hoping that our first 5 unit order makes the cut.  Even if it takes until February, that isn't exactly a problem...  This is chess, not checkers.

Now that that's done: With apologies to OgNasty for a temporary thread hijack, lets get back on topic with Nasty Fans.

P2Pool nodes are more on topic than you might think.   Wink

It's sad that so few people use P2Pool

I agree.  This is something we're hoping to help change soon.

hopefully Nasty got in on time for the bullet run.

I hope so as well.  I acted as fast as I could when I saw the news.  Our first order for 5 Monarchs was paid for roughly 80 minutes after the first mention of it on the forum.  Wish I would've seen it sooner.
18275  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | ASIC + Scrypt BTC/NVC/LTC/NMC/IXC/DVC on: August 19, 2013, 05:33:52 PM
I sent you 5 as I hadn't read this yet. But am happy to contribute!

Thank you!  We have just surpassed 5TH/s in total purchased equipment.  I would like to order a 9th Monarch before the buying spree ends, to give us 3 - 3xMonarch miners once all is said and done.

I am truly grateful for and amazed by the amount of support I continue to receive from NastyFans.  Excellent group of folks.

UPDATE:
Last night our 9th and final Monarch was ordered.  That gives us a current total of 5.82TH/s in purchased equipment.   Kiss
18276  Economy / Lending / Re: [FUNDED] NASTY MINING: Monarch Upgrade Loan Request on: August 19, 2013, 04:48:16 PM
What is the minimum to loan to you? Also, when is expected repayment?

I'm not accepting any more funds at this time.
Why?

I don't need any more funds at this time.

It seems alot of competition is coming round the corner in the next couple of months.  I would think patience might have been a better route to take.  It could very well be a year before you see these things.

Patience rarely pays off in the BTC mining world and our current orders would most likely become worthless if they are not upgraded and upgraded quickly.  Had I not acted quickly with the last round of upgrades BFL offered, we would still be mining at 1MH/seat. Instead, we now have over 180MH/s per seat that is paid for, and that number will continue to increase.  It really is amazing the amount of growth we've seen in such a small period of time.  My hope is to continue that growth and being patient doesn't seem to be the way to achieve that goal.  There are other projects in the works that will provide mid-term (I think 3-6 months is "mid-term" in the BTC world) donations while we await these new miners.  Our immediate focus should be upgrading and then bringing new products and services to the table while we repay our debts.

I will most likely just trade in 2 orders for 1 upgrade, and if any more funds are raised, I can use them to place new orders.

I have done this.  I think we should keep our last remaining preorder and hope that it ships soon.  Thoughts?  Any more funds raised this weekend (possibly longer?) via our loan request will now go towards purchasing new 600GH/s units.
18280  Economy / Securities / Re: [NastyFans.org] NASTY MINING | ASIC + Scrypt BTC/NVC/LTC/NMC/IXC/DVC on: August 18, 2013, 07:35:43 PM
NASTY MINING: Monarch Upgrade Loan
Requested Amount: BTC200
Payment Address: 1NASTYfxUpKPwin7b1KTBFjeeofrLSgXDJ

LOAN REQUEST:
I am raising funds to take advantage of the Butterfly Labs Monarch upgrade program for NASTY MINING.  I am personally pledging BTC25 to the effort and will not be repaid anything until all other lenders have been repaid in full.  Lenders will be repaid by NASTY MINING's 25% share of NastyFans' donation distributions.  Lenders will not be repaid until our other loan is paid in full.

If you are interested in participating in this loan, please see the following thread for more information: NASTY MINING: Monarch Upgrade Loan

This loan request could be going better...  I really think we should try hard to raise these funds immediately in order to remain in the front of the next upgrade cycle.  If anyone has BTC5 or more that they would like to lend, please contact me.  I would really like to get some of our remaining 4 ASIC orders upgraded today.

So will this mean Nasty will not be getting the Singles?

Not if we can raise the funds to upgrade them, which is absolutely necessary if we want to keep up with the rat race.

EDIT:  I have upgraded another of our 60GH/s miners to 600GH/s.  One of our 60GH/s miner orders is not too far away from being shipped, so we can keep that one for the near term power it will provide if people would like.  However, I would like to upgrade at least 2 more of them carrying older dates.  We are currently 40 BTC short to upgrade the remaining 2 orders.  If the BTC to place those orders isn't raised in the next few hours, I will most likely just trade in 2 orders for 1 upgrade, and if any more funds are raised, I can use them to place new orders.
