OK, I guess I'm defending Goat now...

I don't believe Goat is running a ponzi scheme.  He is running pass-thru operations to his First Pirate Savings & Trust account.  While that doesn't make him a scammer, it does make him a liar.  He's getting a higher % off his investor's BTC than he is paying out and since his operations are make believe, that can make tracking dividends and such difficult (what a tangled web we weave when we aspire to deceive).  I also don't believe he is in Thailand.  His avatar looks like a poorly photoshopped job (see black shirt on black background) and he appears to be selling honey using a 3rd party in Thailand to make it appear that he is located somewhere that he is not.  A simple 10 second video of him and his wife with some honey in Thailand would show me that I am wrong, but he doesn't want to do this for some reason.  That is why I worry about the potential of him disappearing.  He also has expressed fear in regards to Shakaru's situation of having a bounty hunter sent after him and refuses to provide the GLBSE with his identity documents.  Ask yourself this, would someone who is running an operation the size of Goat's claim, with multiple listings on the GLBSE and even larger outside projects, spend their time visiting bee farms in Thailand to sell honey for next to nothing to raise funds to be a donator?  It just doesn't add up.  Is Goat running a ponzi scheme?  I don't think so.  Is Goat a liar who cannot be trusted?  Yes.  That doesn't mean he will scam everyone, it just means he's a liar.  If you are comfortable doing business with a liar, buy his shares and enjoy the ride.  If not, don't.  I think it is that simple.

Thank you for the heads up Nefario.  I created an alias email account for use with my GLBSE account that is used nowhere else on the net and have substantially increased the strength of the password due to your warning.

I agree.  I can understand why GLBSE business owners operating in States would be troubled to verify their identity, but Goat operating in Thailand's main benefit is the removal of legal risks.

How about because you've raised thousands of BTC in multiple listings on the GLBSE, borrowed thousands of BTC from lenders using this forum, claim you live in a 3rd world country, claim to run a bank that is just a pass-thru operation for your First Pirate Savings & Trust account, and have started being called a scammer here? 

Personally, all you would have to do to change my opinion about you is post a short video of you and your wife enjoying some of your honey in a public place in Thailand.  It seems like you're going through great lengths to convince people you are in Thailand with this honey selling.  Someone with your operation wouldn't need to bother selling honey to raise funds to be a Donator.  I imagine it is definitely not worth the trouble of buying/packaging/shipping unless you are trying to convince people you are in a location where it is not even worth trying to recover their lost funds once everything goes sour.  It just smells way too fishy.

Post a proof video and I will be the first to publicly apologize.  Personally, I think that would do more to prove your innocence then you submitting some false ID documents to be verified on the GLBSE.  You already have your picture and your wife's picture on this forum, so this should be a very simple solution to this whole witch hunt.  Although I wouldn't blame Nefario for wanting the identification of the person he's allowed to raise thousands of BTC using his site...  At least it would shut me up and would probably boost your honey sales.

If this goes well, would you be willing to auction off my 7970 next?  I'd gladly accept $550 shipped for it and the remainder could be split between you and a charity, although I would like to pick the charity (ASPCA).

I ran into Rollie Fingers last week at a Spring Training game and got an autographed baseball in a nice case.  Yes, he still has the mustache.  I've never really collected autographs (except I do have a Mark McGuire autographed picture I got after selling his aunt a puppy in the late 80's, she was my neighbor) so this is the only autographed baseball I have.  I'm not really looking to sell it, but if there is a Rollie fan that would be willing to pay decent BTC for it, I could be willing to part with it.  I can try to dig up my ticket and I'm sure there is some mention online somewhere he was at the game, if that helps authenticate it.  No worries if nobody on here even knows who Rollie is, just thought I'd offer.

Goat, why didn't you create an alias email account with an outrageously complicated password when you signed up for GLBSE 2.0?  You're honestly saying you use the same email/password for multiple sites and have been doing it for years?  I find it hard to believe that anyone in Bitcoin could be so naive.  You hold thousands maybe tens of thousands of dollars in other people's money and you reuse a commonly used email address?  I apologize, but I don't believe you are that stupid.  You were around for the MtGox email address hack, you know better.  This seems like either A) you setting up to scam everyone and not claim responsibility or B) you trying to create a panic in all your holdings so that you can buy them back for cheap and keep the profits.  For someone with 4 listings on the GLBSE, I find this incredibly irresponsible.
