1841  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: March 28, 2016, 02:42:20 PM
Well the concept of bitcoin of reduce reward is to force bitcoin to go up,there is no sure that will happen, soo well holding any ammount now and dont sell at the first jump ,may turn into a retirement opportunity in around 5 -10 years, something you would need to wait or 25 years or 35 years to get retired.

the halving is make bitcoin unique, with halving make bitcoin more rare, also this is make bitcoin price rising each year.....

1844  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-03-28] ASX Remains Committed to Blockchain Following CEO Exit on: March 28, 2016, 02:24:54 PM
It was earlier this year when the ASX pressed ahead with its plans to implement blockchain settlement alongside its existing CHESS clearing system in a real-world trial. Following a year of its CEO hinting that the ASX might seek to tap into distributed ledger solutions, the bourse operator followed up with an AUD $14.9 million investment for a 5% equity in New York-based blockchain startup Digital Asset Holdings.

While former CEO Elmer Funke Kupper was a big enthusiast and proponent for a blockchain-based settlement solution for the ASX, analysts noted that a new CEO might look toward a new direction for the ASX.

SMS failed. Please, inform Support   can't log in to my account since yesterday ,soport on the ticket is not responding.Help solve the problem

SMS works now but https://twitter.com/CryptoCurrEncyX/status/710657152344571906
Those companies never delivered high quality service for 2 years (they charge for SMS delivery but do not guarantee it delivered) so we had to get rid of SMS 2fa. Google Authenticator is best solution.

why not you add 2fa system based number phone? you can use authy. im use authy for my coinbase wallet. it's more easy than use google 2fa.

1849  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-03-21] The new digital blueprint for social change on: March 21, 2016, 08:08:44 AM
There’s something big afoot in the Bitcoin world. It’s important enough for the smooth and ruthless sharks of Wall Street to take notice and turn uneasy. Bitcoins have always been treated by the established monetary and financial world with healthy suspicion. Some of it was initially justified, especially when Bitcoin exchange Mount Gox wound up citing missing bitcoins that were ‘likely stolen’. The world of cryptocurrency, however, has moved at a fast clip to address many of those concerns.

1850  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BTC mining for Newbie on: March 15, 2016, 07:09:41 AM
BTC

Hi Everyone,

I'm new to the world of Bitcoin. I just started trading BTC. Having finished  "Digital Gold" by Nathaniel Popper and currently reading "Mastering Bitcoins" by Andrew Antonopoulos. I'm really fascinated by BTC. I understand mining can be expensive these days and requires ASIC miners. But I want to give it a try out of curiosity. Is there any ASIC miner that you recommend for BTC mining beginners? Thanks!!

i would suggest you to try renting mining rigs first before buying ASIC if you want to try mining and see if it will be profitable for you or not, just take notice of the amount of bitcoins you can mine everyday, your electricity cost and the cost of the miner rig. check here for renting rigs

https://www.miningrigrentals.com/

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, the service is not available in my country. Is there any ASIC miner or other alternative which you would suggest?

where you come from..?
i think miningrigrentals avaible  for everyone, because it's only "rent a rig" to mining bitcoin/altcoin, then you can seetup with your favorit pool.

you can use https://www.nicehash.com/ for alternative
1851  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How earn 1BTC a year? on: March 15, 2016, 07:06:20 AM
Just by enrolling into signature campaigns and twitter campaigns with multiple accounts, you can easily earn 1BTC in a year.
Not just one, factoring in rank upgrades and activity an active poster could earn 2 btc in a year. I'm assuming the example is a max poster (20) and he's addicted and posts every day 365. Otherwise, 1 btc is a good conservative guess for an amount.
Faucets are a no-no. 1 hour gets an average 0.0001 btc for a faucet user. 1 post for me gets me 0.0002 btc. Simple math. Don't waste your time.

if you keep posting 20post/day im not sure you can do it in 1year, maybe in first week you will be banned with manager campaign. it's very bad idea to earn with sign campaign.
1852  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: March 15, 2016, 07:02:55 AM
The relatively slow and annoying confirmation time and specially when there is a spam attack in the network.
I just learned that a long time confirmation. I don't know the reason why can be very long time . and it strongly inhibits my time you know. Can you tell me about this, why did it happen?

today we will see more spamer at bitcoin network, and this is make new transaction will "low fees" not visible, so better you use wallet without "fee" like coinbase/xapo, or you can still ue blockchain with highest fee.

i think at this moment the normal fee 30.000/kb

1854  Bitcoin / Press / [2016-03-15]First Global Credit Adds Bitcoin Leveraged Commodity Futures Trading on: March 15, 2016, 06:56:52 AM
First Global Credit, a platform that lets users that hold bitcoin leverage them to trade stocks, is now adding commodity futures to the list of what can be traded on the website.

First Global’s CEO Gavin Smith stated from his office in Geneva, Switzerland.

“Commodity Futures is the next logical step in providing digital currency holders with the same choices fiat currency holders have. As more people adopt bitcoin as part of their portfolio, they will expect access to the same choices fiat holders enjoy.”

The Commodity Futures Trading Service will initially offer 5 markets and two to three months for each contract; E-mini Crude Oil Futures, Comex Miny Copper, Comex E-Micro Gold, e-Mini S&P Futures, and E-mini NASDAQ 100.

1855  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Microsoft stops accepting Bitcoin in Windows Store on: March 15, 2016, 06:56:02 AM
i think someone want to make each bitcoiner panic sell, then he can buying bitcoin at lowest dips.
this is clarification from microsoft.
However, Microsoft told TechCrunch:

“We continue to support Bitcoin for adding money to your Microsoft account which can be used for purchasing content in the Windows and Xbox stores. We apologize for inaccurate information that was inadvertently posted to a Microsoft site, which is currently being corrected.”
