I recently acquired a Block Erupter 49 port USB 2.0 Hub Rev 2.00 (Red board) to use with my 2PAC and Terminus pod that I purchased from sidehack as well as some miscellaneous USB miners.  Finding information about these hubs are more elusive than I imagined.  Does anyone know of a support thread or other resource to post my questions to?

1) Who was the OEM/Primary distributor for these back in the day?  Asicminer? Eyeboot?  Someone else?
2) The unit has what appears to be a 25A automotive style fuse.  Does that mean that is fused for 12V 25A?
3) 25A would only allow 500mA per port with only 500mA extra to handle startup surge.  Does that seem right?
4) Is it likely that the traces would allow more power than 500 mA if the board's total power rating is not exceeded?

More goal is to run more 2PAC and other USB miners as the price is right and I acquire them.  I should have asked what fuse was on the board since I have read about other 49 port Block Erupter hubs having 50 or 70A fuses.  Does it seem likely that I can run a few higher-power usb devices like 2PAC or Moonlanders on this board?

So they were badly made. Pull that fuse and put in a 20 amp. As they tended to melt.

Asicminer built them.  I owned 128 sticks and could run about 40 on three hubs for a total of 120 sticks.

You can pull 1.1 amps on a port if you run about 15 sticks on the hub.

How does this compare to one of the old 21 bitcoin miners?  Seen them for about the same price.  My goal is to do some small time mining with as little heat as possible.

They do 40 gh at 5 watts with a gentle fan.

I should have purchased more then two.

If you read my responses you will see my position we don’t really know for sure since we simply can’t prove or disprove the idea  in the movie matrix.

We made about 180 blocks in 30 hours. That is more or less 0%

The jump was around 4:45 pm on the first of nov.

It is about 11:45 pm on the second of nov

That is 31 hours .

First, I would like to apologize for the lack of updates directly to you guys. I have been posting updates in the bitcointalk threads, but some of you have emailed me and understand not all of you read that forum. I will be more active in directly contacting you in the future! So to the important news:

As most of you know we are proud that this device can be assembled in the United States, but unfortunately some of our parts suppliers are overseas and we became effected by the Trump Tariffs. This forced us to switch some suppliers last second and had delays with PCBs and our Heatsinks for these. This has caused about a 2-3 week delay, which is pushing shipments into Mid-November from our planned end of October.

I did do some testing on my prototype hub build today and it looks to be working. Note that's only step one in about a five-step design process but it was the step with the most questions. Hopefully early next year I finally have a solid yet flexible hub for y'all.

Yeah I would like that.  I think I am going to use five to ten of these new sticks.

His first model worked for me.  I have it turned off at the moment since the coin I was mining had the pool closed down.

I would be interested in the new model but there are multiple issues here .
bitstreams are the god of this type of  gear.
So anyone getting in on these needs to understand you may or may not get good bitstream support.

I may order one from him but I do hate the pay upfront and wait game as much as anyone else.
These guys are smart guys that know how to build and program gear.

I suggest that some one with some coin could have them build a sample bunch of 10 or 20 units. Maybe for sales.

I am always willing to demo gear or hold escrow.  If asked. BUYt I am retired and not full of cash to order a lot of them for myself.

I just spent  July 13 to Oct 27 waiting on the Acorns I got a refund and they are still not yet shipped maybe next week for them.

I did like working with the builders of the gear. and maybe I get in on this gear some how.

The 14th amendment has been used incorrectly.  People who were born in the US and who do not reside the US should never have been given citizenships.  

The 14th amendment was written to give former slaves citizenship.  It was used correctly to give citizenship to anyone born in this country, regardless of whether their parents were citizens or slaves or whatever.

I'm not saying a pregnant woman from another country should be able to fly to the US in 2018 and have a kid who gets automatic citizenship, but that is the way the constitution is worded... and as mentioned before, there is over 100 years of precedent to overturn if you want to change the way the law is interpreted

I know.  I see two issues with it today.

All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside.

Foreigners and their children without legal status are not subject to the jurisdiction of the US, nor do they reside (legally) in the US.

Almost right  since they entered illegally they are subject to deportation. This will be interesting to see if the new Supreme Court rules an undocumented alien giving birth in the USA has a direct link to the baby.

It is physical link and that is the umbilical cord. So since the baby is attached to the mother and the mother has no official status does this mean the baby is undocumented and subject to trumps new proposed restriction.

Clever idea that would lose in a liberal  supreme  court.
Now that the court is not liberal it could fly.

Their have been legal decisions that favor trumps idea.
These would be the ones that let USA hold undocumented aliens in Cuba and waterboard them.

They eventually stopped practice but principle of putting an undocumented in Cuba was and is still allowed.

Well now you know why they let the guy that likes beer get on the court.

Personally it is very interesting idea I wonder how it will play out in court.
