18521  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Recent Antminer S5 prices on: March 25, 2015, 04:21:29 PM
S5 is a really nice miner but loud and need some modification to be fully home miner.

I will buy every S5 for S5  Tongue

Wondering when the next gen come. Cant wait to see the spec  Grin

The S7 and the S4+ are coming...... I give it a week before they announce

i heard about a s6, was just a vaporware i guess

there is also an entire thread talking about it

they need to lower the nm productivity process for the next device, for this reason i don't think 1 week is enough
18522  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who holds the coins in a decentralized exchange? on: March 25, 2015, 04:18:22 PM
third party with escrow should be done by a computer, automatized, this way there will be no source to be trusted, because a computer will never steal your money if it is 100% automatized

A computer is only a front. There are programmers behind. Remember the Evolution drug market which vanished last week. Everybody was saying it was the safest market not long ago.

with 100% automatized, i mean a program that don't need any maintenance, and it's made one time only, to run forever without any help from human

something that can't be done now i think, maybe in the future
18523  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Getting Started. What hardware for 4 Amperes max. on: March 25, 2015, 04:15:47 PM
with 880w to be used freerly, you can get a good antminer s4, it's about 690w, maybe add to that some small device, like usb to reach 750+ of wattage

Are you sure you mean S4?  Unless underclocked I'm thinking they draw around 1400 watts.

ah yeah you are right, i confused it with another device

then he need something along the line of 1500 corsair(the new psu they released)
18524  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can we see the bottom? on: March 25, 2015, 03:38:33 PM
we are near it probably, as i doubt it will lower under 200, there are some strong wall before that
18525  Other / Meta / Re: trust on: March 25, 2015, 02:23:10 PM
only thymos can remove negative trust i think, even mod can't do anything

same situation for me, two idiot give me random negative and they are now inactive...

...just leave it there, it didn't change anything in your trust

18527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Secure hot wallet? on: March 25, 2015, 01:19:03 PM
what they should really do is, adding 2fa to the client directly, like a program that ask you for a password and user and then you can add 2fa as a security, would be pretty neat

it would make hot wallet possible
18528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin QT blockchain on: March 25, 2015, 01:17:07 PM
yeah there is

buy a evo ssd, it will sync the whole blockchain in 1 hour(tried it myself), and it's not expensive at all

For most of us the bottleneck is probably still the internet connection. Even slow mechanical disks can write >30MB/s on average[1], even a 100MBit/s connection will not deliver 30MB per second. In order to to sync within 1 hour you would indeed need a 100MBit/s connection and the disk should not have a big impact, since you would receive data at ~9MB/s, unless you use the disk for something heavy at the same time.

well that's wierd because with my 850 pro i've synched the whole chain in 45 min, and i don't have 100mb, but only 8
18529  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Blockchain hacked on: March 25, 2015, 11:56:25 AM
Thanks i removed 22 out of 23 infiltrations. I want to use this same wallet, send the hacker 0.02 USD and send him a message to piss him off to the max.

That malware bytes is quite something, removed 484 threats, and many of them were keystrokers, or keyloggers , i am happy i post here about this problem.

add malware exploit to it for better protection, and zeman for anti key logger, key-stroke protection, i'm using those tree and i feel like i'm in a bunker
18530  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will we ever see BTC over $1,200 again? on: March 25, 2015, 11:52:33 AM
no one know when, we presume with the next block halving, but it could be early or after that, or never...many newbies will not ever buy at current price, let alone at higher price
18531  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30 Down on: March 25, 2015, 11:51:07 AM
That latest price drop was caused by hacking of that small china altcoin exchange market. Hackers did not steal much ( something like 15 BTC total) but I fear that human mentality and domino effect caused this drop. There is nothing to worry about as soon bitcoin will resume its way to $300 threshold.

i doubt 15 btc can drop the price by $50, must be something else, some whales got nervous and dumped something on multiple exchange, right now it's whales war i believe
18532  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any governments buying cryptos? on: March 25, 2015, 11:49:35 AM
the only coin that governments may hold, are those that come from illegal acrivity, i doubt they are buying any coin, they have their own currency called fiat....
18533  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How did Mt. Gox become so successful? on: March 25, 2015, 08:07:54 AM
they were a magic the gathering exchange from what i've read, then they started with bitcoin, and they were the first to do so, magic the gathering was more popular back then, maybe this made this exchnage popular for bitcoin too
18534  Economy / Speculation / Re: Current market conditions are scary on: March 25, 2015, 08:04:35 AM
it could just be the calm before the storm, the problem is that everyone still compare current situation to the 1200 peak, that peak was just pure manipulation(willy bot ecc...) and a bit of luck

right now the price is low, because there are only whales playing with the market, no new money influx...
18535  Economy / Speculation / Re: 30 Down on: March 25, 2015, 07:59:10 AM
i see nice profit for whom sold at 260, i should've shorted also, i didn't know it could crash in this way

18537  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Has mining (vs. simply buying) ever been profitable? on: March 25, 2015, 07:50:32 AM
if mining is profitable, it's always better to mine than investing in bitcoin directly, because you will end up with more btc at the end, simply buying can increase your capital(if bitcoin rise), but do not increase your bitcoin amount(unless you are a good trader too), were with mining you increase both

18539  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: What its PSU Model for Antminer S4?? on: March 25, 2015, 07:41:25 AM
850 platinum from corsair will do the trick, or any 800+ from seasonic, i don't really like other brand, those are the best for me
18540  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you support International Bitcoin Day? on: March 24, 2015, 08:22:45 PM
I don't see how we're going to get seven billion people to use bitcoin one day. What about all the people without an internet connection or those who can't afford devices to obtain a wallet and send/receive btc? I can imagine something where a lot of people could wear bitcoin related apparel to boost the bitcoin awareness. You could try get shirts sponsored and have a public get together where everybody could be wearing something related to bitcoin. Maybe something like a mask would do like the Anonymous marches and conventions.

people without internet access, will be connected when google "loon for all" project will be ready, but i'm afraid this won't be enough to make everyone to use bitcoin even for one day, many still don't like the fact that early adopters were lucky, and they must buy from them
