1861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Banks started to accept bitcoins, would you trust them with yours? on: May 04, 2012, 01:24:43 AM
I would trust banks with my bitcoin if they allowed me to use a debit card to withdrawal purchases anywhere and use my bitcoin as a funding source, that would be sweet!!!!
1862  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mentioned in FBI criminal complaint on: May 04, 2012, 01:23:26 AM

1864  Economy / Lending / Re: .1 BTC - I can lend to whoever needs it! on: May 03, 2012, 10:12:45 PM
If you would like a free 0.10 BTC, sign up to bitcointrading and post somewhere and PM me your wallet address and I'll give anyone who posts 0.10 BTC (once per user).

Plus there are going to be some bonus BTC's distributed out to all members very shortly to those that have the bitcoin wallet address box entered in their profile.
1865  Economy / Services / Re: Announcing BitcoinAdvertisers.com THE MONEY MAKING MONSTER! on: May 03, 2012, 10:04:54 PM
I gotta say.. you guys have the best ad service out there.

Today I was tasked with an advertising campaign for WTCR.ca (buy computer components with bitcoin online!!!) and I was testing each service to see which service would bring me the most traffic.

I am using Operation Fabulous, FeedZeBirds, BitcoinAdvertisers, DailyBitcoins, and AnonymousAds.

Still waiting on my Op-Fab & DailyBitcoins deposits, FeedZeBirds is having problems, AnonymousAds worked great but traffic is pretty low, and with BitcoinAdvertisers I already have 2000 impressions!!

That ultra-fast deposit time is excellent, and the traffic you get!?!  BOOM, love the site.  Hopefully some customers will buy products from the store as well!

Have you considered making BitcoinAdvertisers on the GLBSE?  I'd buy stock.  Forgive me if this was previously mentioned.
1866  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ghetto Seasteading on: May 03, 2012, 07:53:20 PM
Maybe you could find a way to tow it a few miles northeast Smiley

That would be so cool!  Y'know, if everyone pitched in a bitcoin, we could buy this together and.. do something productive with it!  A giant offshore bitcoin mining rig!  Ahh DRILLIN FER BITCOINS!!!
1867  Other / Off-topic / Re: How do I read this ... on: May 03, 2012, 07:44:39 PM
I hate Zynga with a firey passion.

They are ruining Facebook, the internet, and millions of peoples' lives.

1868  Economy / Services / Re: Announcing BitcoinAdvertisers.com THE MONEY MAKING MONSTER! on: May 03, 2012, 05:40:28 PM
I liked it when it displayed the "Currently you could earn 2.475 mBTC" when it was just normal BTC values.

edit: I think it would be cool if you could sort the 'Advertiser Statistics' page by bid Smiley
1869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Request: Let's support "bitcoin:" URLs! on: May 03, 2012, 03:54:03 AM
That is awesome, bitcoin totally deserves it's own link type.  With tools like these, future newbies to the currency will be able to use bitcoin just as easy as learning email! Smiley
1870  Other / Off-topic / Re: I need to recover data from this USB stick and the case is made of steel, help! on: May 03, 2012, 01:49:14 AM
I don't know how to get the data out, but I hope she keeps backups in the future.

I can't believe people are still walking around in 2012 without backups of important data.
I know, right?  It's a horrible thought losing data, but I can't imagine what goes through someones mind when they hold a huge amount of irreplaceable data in their hand like this, and they must be thinking, "wow, imagine how screwed I would be if I lost this!!" without the thought of duplicating it to another medium...  There is like, no excuse for lost data.

Speaking of lost data, you guys have got to hear this song!! --> Freefire - Dataloss (Darth & Vader Remix)  It's like, one of my favorite songs Smiley

OK, I LOVE all the suggestions, but I'm not sure if my sister can afford the zillions of dollars to get it professionally recovered so we might have to lean towards the hacksaw option.  What do you guys think about this hacksaw?  -> https://i.imgur.com/MgoaV.jpg

I linked my sister to this thread and she hasn't responded in a couple days so I'll probably want to wait for her reply before I hack this thing to pieces...
1871  Other / Meta / Re: We need a "No begging" policy... on: May 03, 2012, 01:17:23 AM
I say let them beg, after all, being able to share addresses online is one of the fundamental advantages of bitcoin...

Please, please, please, can we have a no begging policy.  Grin
Actually, I don't care.

er, isn't this very post a begging post? Smiley
I think he was being intentionally begging-like to imply sarcasm Smiley
1872  Other / Meta / Re: Dump of posts on: May 03, 2012, 01:15:04 AM
Sweet!

Weird how every site lists it at like 96.7MB but RapidShare says "101.42 MB" and then I start the download and it's only 96.7MB!
1873  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin advertising on the World Poker Tour! on: May 03, 2012, 12:44:33 AM
Speaking of 11"...
How about this logo instead?

LMFAO I never saw that pic before!  Awesome!

He should post a donation address on twitter when he's playing.

Why would anyone donate to a guy who just won $960,000?
Yeah that's like scrooge mcduck asking for spare change!

1880  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Canada ONLY: Taxes and law on: May 02, 2012, 08:04:21 PM
I claimed bitcoin on my tax return!  I am a legit miner now!! Smiley

edit: and I'm Canadian, too.  The tax representative at H&R Block was thinking bitcoin is some sort of financial gain, he was thinking it was like trading stock but I told him it was money generated from thin air from mining, so almost like mining for gold and selling the gold to an exchange.  I claimed like $4000 worth which is appropriate for the tax bracket.

I'm also feelin' the cold winter nights and low electricity bills, I think it's like 5.9c / kWh over here in Winnipeg, MB, not as cheap as you but still makes for profitable mining!
