Well the multiport just stopped working again.. Luckily I was around to restart it.
I think it may just be a race condition in the script. I added a 2 second sleep between killing off the old redirect and starting up the new one, hopefully that will take care of the issue.
Thanks, . I was also wondering, is it possible to lower the difficulty to 8 or even 4 for the coins with very fast blocks? I am getting 15-20% stales at the current setting of 16 since the blocks move so fast. The profitability calculation already takes stales into account (25% for WDC, 20% for DGC). I'd have to look into the performance implications of lowering it below 16. It would result in double or quadrupling the number of shares inserted into the DB. Ah, got ya. So it's not just me with tons of stales then... that makes me feel a lot better! If it's too much of an issue don't worry about changing it to a lower value. I just figured an increase of 10% or so is pretty big when you consider it over time. For ex: If you get 10 coins normally, now you get 11 After a month you've gotten 30-31 extra coins, or 3+ days worth as a bonus The pool efficiency is showing as ~90-95% though for WDC and DGC (slightly higher for DGC, as expected) and we're not getting tons of orphans.. How many stales you get will really depend on your miner's hashrate.

Does anyone have artistic talent? I need a logo for the site.. Preferably something that fits with the theme and could fit next to "multipool" in the menu bar.. (i.e. would look good as a small icon) I have plenty of SXC to offer as a bounty!

I'd like to add a sha256 multiport, but not sure which coin to add. We had freicoin before but never found any blocks (and we should have, with the hashing power we had). We don't have enough hashrate to add BTC.

I have been lurking and jumping around some pools manually. But today I'm on 7777 and interested to see how it does over time. It would be great if we can get more people in to get some steady payoffs. Especially in LTC.
Agreed. I think people don't switch their LTC miners because they think you need a lot of hashing power to find blocks, but really, with only 100Mh we could be finding an average of 3 LTC blocks per day. The multiport should help with this, because it'll point a lot more hashing power at LTC when the profitability of the other coins drops.

I added a line on the My Stats page that will show your uptime in the last 24 hours for each coin. This pulls from the user hashrates table in the DB which logs every 10 minutes so it's not going to be 100% accurate, but it should give a rough estimate of how long you were on each coin in the past 24 hours. This should help to determine how accurate payout estimates have been.

What new Altcoins are you looking into adding?
maybe suggest PXC?
Not sure at the moment. PXC seems like one of the shittier shitcoins. Is the dev even active? I wanted to add YAC but it's not on Coinchoose.

You were mining DGC direct or using the multiport?
Directly. Check the my stats page. I added a column in the table on the left called "worker uptime". What does yours say?

Multiport is up!
Something must have gone wrong during the switch.. I'll look into this..

Multiport stratum proxy is up now on port 17777 for getwork miners.

it is finished: http://megs4u.tk MAMeFh5obTAys9y9MANU8KDeaAs56eZKCa also i've noticed a small issue with the client. it seems to hijack my cpu randomly. all of a sudden my cpu will hit 100 percent as evidenced by the cpu/ram indicator widget i have installed. it seems you have purposely created this program to selectively mine when necessary. this is discouraging. Hi r3wt, What is the model of your CPU? If its only 1-2 core it might do this occasionally when verifying transactions. You can private message me the end parts of your debug.log next time if it happens again and your CPU is fast. No programmer would logically code something to openly steal CPU cycles to mine a GPU coin when he could easily do plenty of undetectable things if he was chaotic evil. An inexperienced coder might though. Great job on the faucet btw. Bounty is coming your way! There is NOTHING in the original bitcoin code that would cause behavior like this. Whatever shit you have put in there, this is malicious and intentional. I wonder why you refuse to release your source? Suddenly, everything makes sense... Link to source in OP doesn't work?

Looks like we have around 45 Mh on the multiport right now and smooth sailing.
I'm back on it now and things are looking great! (I was the one going back and forth with you via email btw). I lost 18 hours of mining though because there were storms early this morning and I use a WISP (Wireless ISP -- uses antannaes) and the tower we connect to got a direct lightning strike this morning and apparently it fried absolutely everything on it. Jeez that sucks. Hope things are looking better now. I am working on a multiport stats page that should show what's been mining for the past 24 hours as well as payouts and estimates.

So, I tried mining the Digi-Coins. I started around 9 last night, it is now 5 for me. The estimate has been floating around 100 DGC a day, so far my take for 20 hours is 48.6. That will probably put me around 56-57 after 24 hours, roughly 60% of the estimate. These guys may have a point that all the calculations are wrong, at least on fast coins.
Is there something you could do on your end to provide a historical average of reward / hashing?
Thanks.

Now added you guys to my site enjoy the promotion under multi coin pools and will be listing you on parters on trusted mining Pools later this evening after I have completed my recover
Thanks!

you guys need a better logo and a github repository.

both,
I had to create the obj directory on Ubuntu, but otherwise no.
