18661  Economy / Reputation / Re: 304th most trusted? WAT? Can anyone explain this for me? on: June 12, 2019, 10:35:32 AM
Can anyone explain what is going on here?
BPIP needs to scrape all profiles again to read the new Trust scores, and before that, Vod probably has to implement a fix. Update: It scrapes the new value already.
The ones above you haven't been scraped yet after the changes, they'll drop in Trust score when that happens.

You can click "Refresh" on other profiles, I just tested it on Blazed, his Trust score dropped from 659 to 66 (and his position from #1 to #139).

18663  Economy / Reputation / Request Support (or Opposition) for Flags here! on: June 12, 2019, 09:39:49 AM
Theymos introduced Trust flags, which can be created by anyone (conditions apply!), but need support from at least 1 or 3 DT-members.

It looks like this:

How
Before creating a flag, please create a topic in Scam Accusations to use as Reference link. It can't be self-moderated, and it can't be locked.
I've seen many Flags that point to a generic topic, which makes it much more work to check the evidence. Stick to the facts, and keep it as short as possible without leaving things out.

If your Flag doesn't have enough support, feel free to post it here.
To anyone: please check the reference topic before deciding to Support or Oppose the flag. When in doubt, don't do anything.

Identify Flag types
type 1. Newbie warning: 'alleges: Due largely to the factors mentioned'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=29
WITHDRAWN: 'alleged the following, but later withdrew it: Due largely to the factors mentioned in'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=37

type 2. Violated implied agreement: 'violated a casual or implied agreement, resulting in damages, in the specific act referenced'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=30
WITHDRAWN: 'alleged the following, but later withdrew it:'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=9

type 3. Violated written contract with damages: 'violated a written contract, resulting in damages, in the specific act referenced'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=41
WITHDRAWN: 'alleged the following, but later withdrew it:'
            Sample: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=35

Trust Flag viewer
See LoyceV's (Personal) Trust Flag viewer [daily updates] for details, or go to http://loyce.club/trust/flags/?C=M;O=D directly for the data. There's a very convenient "BBCode for Bitcointalk" link on top of the page, use the most recent one to post the Flag here.
You can now add comments to my Trust Flag viewer, see Post here to add comments to LoyceV's Trust Flag viewer.

No spam
Self moderated to stop spam.
Don't go off-topic.
Don't challenge the accused in this topic, do that in your Scam Accusation.

If this topic proves useful, I'll make a nicer OP. If not, I'll lock it.
18664  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: June 12, 2019, 09:34:42 AM
I'm curious as to what we should be doing about the obvious attempted, but not yet successful, scams.
Red trust and a Newbie-warning Flag?
18665  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: June 12, 2019, 09:26:15 AM
We need a log for all the flag activity now, all the created flags + those who support or oppose them.
If Vod doesn't beat me to it, I'll cook something up when I have time. Don't expect it within a few weeks though.
Update: see LoyceV's Trust Flag viewer.
18666  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: June 12, 2019, 09:19:41 AM
A negative rating right now is completely useless and will be disregarded by the supermajority of the users (the same way that neutral ratings always have been). I'd actually advise against leaving them to save yourself the time and trouble; just skip straight into scammer flags.
Neutral tags serve a purpose. Some examples from the feedback I left:
Quote
See Reference link for a signed message that proves ownership of the account.
Shasan has a temp ban. If you need to contact him, use other means.
Leaves fake red trust to spam hunters after theymos wiped all yobit signatures.
I tagged this account as being stolen on August 7, 2018. It has been recovered by the original owner on February 22, 2019.
These have nothing to do with scams, it's more like adding sticky notes to a user. And indeed, they're intended to be ignored by users.
From what I understand, you can only create Flags when you've been scammed. That means negative ratings still serve a purpose.

I like the much bigger warning on topics created by a Flagged scammer! It also makes sense to only create Flags for users that scammed you personally. That means it's really worth the extra effort, and it shouldn't be used at massive numbers. I've checked all my feedback, and only one person (with 4 accounts) really qualifies for a Flag. Can I request Flag support here?

I have over 1000 Negative feedback sent to abusers and with the new limited feedbacks for page on trust profile https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=1339716 is a nightmare to navigate them.

Can you please rollback this page as it was before?

For people with a lot of feedbacks is impossible so search something there.
I'd like to see at least 1000 ratings per page, that's high enough to make searching easier, and low enough to load the page quickly.
18667  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [scam] BetKing.io broke ICO promise and dropped token value 99% on: June 12, 2019, 08:59:17 AM
I'm bumping this thread to add Flags to the 4 known accounts owned by BetKing.

For contractual violations only, a scammer flag can be created. This is the only thing which causes the "Warning: trade with extreme caution" warning to return. It also triggers a banner similar to the newbie-warning banner which is visible to all users. A scammer flag requires 3 more supporting users than opposing users to become active.

A new scammer flag should be created for each separate alleged incident. In the spirit of forgiveness/redemption, scammer flags expire 3 years after the incident if the contract was casual/implied, and 10 years after the incident if the contract was written.

I'm not sure when exactly the buybacks stopped (and my Withdrawal History was removed).
Therefore, I'll use the starting date of this topic (March 2019) as the starting date for the Flags.

I'm also adding one more piece of evidence of contractual violations:
It says BetKing will offer to buy "up to 10%"
lol, nice attempt to weasel out of the deal. The "up to 10%" referred to if a user had X tokens, they could use "<= X/10" for buybacks.
I brought this up almost 2 years ago. This is what BetKing.io answered:
So what I meant is if someone wants to sell me 10% of their tokens I will buy them.
I can't say sorry I'm only going to buy 4%.
(archived)

When I opened this topic, the amount scammed was just over $700, worth almost 0.2 BTC at the time. Because my remaining BKB tokens would expire, I swapped them to BKT tokens recently, and sold them. I received about 0.0045 BTC for this.
BetKing is now promoting his site more actively again on Bitcointalk, which is all the more reason to Flag his accounts.

I ask all users who tagged the accounts to support the Flag. It needs at least 3 DT members to show a big red Flag on the accounts:
Quote
On my honor, I affirm the following: 1) This user violated a written contract, resulting in damages; 2) I have not been made whole by the user; 3) no existing flag covers this same incident; 4) this incident is accurately and completely described in the above topic; 5) the incident occurred roughly in the month given above. Furthermore, I promise to withdraw my support for this flag if this user makes me whole in the future.

Flags
Flag on BetKing.io
Flag on BetKing Support
Flag on PocketRocketsCasino
Flag on dean nolan
18668  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Roller Coaster #2 on: June 12, 2019, 08:15:55 AM
It looks like I can't sell NMC tomorrow, and I have to move it out of Poloniex. I need ideas!
18669  Other / Meta / Re: Trust flags on: June 12, 2019, 05:52:52 AM
For contractual violations only, a scammer flag can be created.
Can I also create a scammer flag for alt-accounts of the contract violator? Example: BetKing.io violated a contract, but BetKing Support, dean nolan and PocketRocketsCasino are his alt-accounts.
18670  Economy / Reputation / Re: "Realish" time DT1 Change Log on: June 11, 2019, 07:16:27 PM
I'm taking suchmoon's suggestion here:
Would this be possible:

A list of former DT2 members who are no longer in DT2 because their "sponsors" got randomly excluded from DT1 (or got banned, which seems to be the second most common cause of departure). Particularly ones that were sponsored by more than one DT1 member. There might be some good people among them who deserve to be considered by other DT1 members.
Is this something you can add? A page with continuous updates on DT2:
Code:
User A was added to DT2.
User B was removed from DT2.
18671  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: June 11, 2019, 07:15:49 PM
Theymos updated DT1 today. I made a new list of DT1 and DT2 members (unfortunately, DT1 and trust scores are still based on last Saturday's Trust data dump, I will update this next Saturday).

Of course it's possible Tongue But I didn't keep records of DT2-members. I'll move your suggestion to Vod's "Realish" time DT1 Change Log.

18673  Other / Meta / Re: @theymos, what to do with the account farms of Brand New users with 0 posts?? on: June 11, 2019, 06:30:31 PM
Some (or many) of those accounts could have been proxy-banned. E.g. someone tries to create an account, gets hit with the evil IP fee, changes IP, tries again, leaving lots of abandoned accounts in the process. Perhaps unpaid accounts should be removed after 1 month.
I don't have data on this, but I don't expect accounts with an evil fee to be activated just to start spamming. I would suggest to add an evil fee to all Brand New accounts if they haven't posted in the first month after they were created. But: I don't have data on this either: how often do legit users make their first post a month after registration, and how often do spammers activate old accounts?
18674  Economy / Securities / Re: LoyceV's Legendary 10 Month 10 Person 10 Altcoin Investment Roller Coaster #2 on: June 11, 2019, 06:07:58 PM
Namecoin (NMC) was delisted from Poloniex. I would have expected them to send me an email about this Sad
I can withdraw it, but I don't use any other exchange that supports it.
Public discussion: now what?

You could ask one of our participants (or anyone else) if they would be willing to outright purchase the NMC for BTC.
I would be willing to do that, in fact.
Are you still willing to buy the NMC (at Coinmarketcap price)? If so, post an addy.
If not: does anyone have an account at Livecoin?  I prefer not to make an account there just to sell NMC.
18675  Economy / Reputation / Re: Report a Signature Campaign Spammer! on: June 11, 2019, 03:34:08 PM
I like you Loyce, you take part in everything I post here long before this campaign and speak positively about Stake as a casino and website
Where did you find Loyce speaking positively about you and stake  Huh
Read the topic:
As it stands now, their advertising campaign is doing more harm than good because it is associating their brand with harm to the community.
And that's the part I really don't get! Stake is a good site and trusted site. From what I've seen, it had a good image until this campaign came around. It just doesn't make sense.

Please resign!
I'm willing to do this job,
OP was asking people to do his job for free, no need to take this out of context.

@SteveStake: How about this:
Kick out everyone who earned less than 15 Merit in the last 120 days. Check the merited posts, to make sure they're worth the Merit. That should largely reduce the amount of spam.
Then, increase pay rates for the good posters, keep a public list of participants, and check their posts before paying. This is a lot of work, ask for a raise if needed.
Running a campaign without much spam isn't difficult, it's just hard work. I have nothing against you, Stake, or signature campaigns. But I do hate spam!

This user has been unbanned.
Thanks!
I haven't linked my scraper to my list of banned accounts yet, so I've manually removed him. It'll be fixed in the next update.
