18741  Other / Politics & Society / Re: People in Russia really enjoy the Police. on: August 07, 2017, 05:42:53 AM
Doesn't mean that the average cop in Russia is any less brutal than the one from the United States. Remember the Primorsky Partizan incident? Or do you remember the death of Sergei Nazarov in a Kazan police station? Or perhaps you need a lesson about the murder of 15-year old Nikita Leontiev, who was beaten to death in a St Petersburg police station.
18742  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are you in favor of same sex marriage? on: August 07, 2017, 05:40:03 AM
Yes I am in favor with same sex marriage because I want to see people happy especially those who belong in the LGBT community. We should not hinder the happiness of every gays, lesbians, transgender and even the queer one. I'm always support the LGBT community no matter what.

What, do you think that allowing gay marriage will increase their happiness? Then they can have the marriage, in a private ceremony. But please don't ask the authorities to recognize such marriages. Because as far as I am concerned, a marriage can happen only between a male and a female.
18743  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Impact of drinking alcohol. on: August 07, 2017, 05:38:22 AM
If alcohol doesn't affect you in the present and it's all ok then don't be afraid. You Only Live Once and you have to do it right keep going..!

I like your attitude. This is what I tell to my friends, who try to dictate my diet. A few days back, someone told me that I should refrain from consuming red meat, as it increases the chances of cancer. I told him the same thing. We need to enjoy our life.
18744  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Craving green. on: August 07, 2017, 05:36:54 AM
In most of the western nations, there are large parks and nature reserves inside the urban areas. But this feature is missing in the Asian cities. Most of the Asian cities are very crowded, and this adds to the overall desperation and frustration of the residents.
18745  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Cryptocurrencies: Role in decreasing/lowering crime rates. on: August 07, 2017, 05:35:29 AM
The dark markets such as Alphabay and Silk Road 2.0 had a positive role in reducing the crime rate. The drug users didn't had to go out in the inner city ghettos to source their drugs, and this reduced the crime rate by a lot.
18746  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What are the Most Peaceful Countries? on: August 07, 2017, 05:33:58 AM
Singapore, Japan and Russian Federation.

Definitely not the Russian Federation. The crime rates are way too high, and the Muslim immigrants from Central Asia have over-run most of the big cities. On top of that, the Russians have to deal with the Islamic extremism in the North Caucasus region.
18747  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Global Warming Real? on: August 07, 2017, 05:29:21 AM
Yes, it's all over the in the tropical countries the tempreture is getting higher than the old time and it getting more colder when the temperature should be cold. That is a sign that global warming is real.

The tropical nations are yet to see the effects of global warming. But the effects are already visible in the polar and sub-polar regions. The tundra is thawing in both Russia and Canada, releasing methane as it breaks up. This is going to be an irreversible process.

The tropical island already feel the effect of glovbal warming, the summer seems to be longer and the temperature is high, higher than 10 years ago, and sometime the weather can be very unpredictable, these are the effect of global warming, and I am feeling that our planet is keep on getting hotter and hotter, but yet not all people are aware of the danger

The effects will be more pronounced in the islands. Apart from the rise in temperature, they also have to deal with the rising sea levels. Many of the island nations in the Pacific and the Indian Ocean will be below the main sea level in another 5-6 decades.
18748  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is taxation theft? on: August 07, 2017, 05:27:44 AM
Without taxes the state can not exist. Taxes should not be exorbitant and the tax should not be imposed on everything around, but all the same it should be.

It's all about the tax rates. For example, in Russia they are having a flat tax rate of around 13%. Now compare this to the tax rates in Germany (where it is close to 45%). Also, the VAT and the other indirect taxes are also extremely high in Germany. For example, a litre of gasoline in Germany costs twice as much  as that in Russia.
18749  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you agree in death penalty? on: August 07, 2017, 05:25:51 AM
I believe that we just borrow our lives from God. And He is the only one who have right to take them away from us.

I really don't know why there such thing as death penalty . To think that killing and taking lives of a person is also a crime .

So what do you suggest? If someone commits a brutal crime such as rape of murder, should he be set free in to the society? Death penalty is necessary to curb the crime rate. Without the death penalty, the criminals will be having no fear about the punishment.
18750  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I Go To College ??? on: August 07, 2017, 05:23:54 AM
Hi everyone,

What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?

You should probably go to college, just don't overpay (: only go instate, ignore private schools unless offered scholarships, and take federal aid. Drop out the moment you're offered a solid job, the fancy paper itself isn't really worth anything (unless you need to do Masters/Phd).

A masters degree may be useful later in the life, although I don't agree wasting 5-6 years of your life in trying to get a PhD degree (unless you are really crazy about scientific research).
18751  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do islam hates people? on: August 07, 2017, 05:22:08 AM

Why 5,000 Jews emigrated from France to Israel last year

https://www.thelocal.fr/20170109/5000-more-jews-leave-france-for-israel

The interesting point to note here is that at least the Jews have a nation where they can immigrate to. Once the Muslims become a majority in France, it will be interesting to know where the native French are going to emigrate.
18752  Other / Off-topic / Re: punishment for rapists on: August 07, 2017, 04:53:45 AM
I hate to say this but rapists should be punished justly. I'm for the victims and for the family of them.
This shouldn't be tolerated anyway. Every victim suffers a lot even the rapists will get appropriate punishment.

The conviction rates for rape are extremely low, even in the developed nations. And unlike other violent crimes, only a minority of the rapes are likely to get reported to the police, due to the shame and stigma associated with it.

I had watched a video somewhere in Iran or Iraq that a rape convict will have a punishment but not directly. His sister or any woman in the family will be raped, too bad for those innocent women who are related to the suspect.

The video may be from Pakistan or Afghanistan. Iran doesn't have barbaric laws such as this one. But in Pakistan, this normally happens. The rape of Mukhtaran Bibi is a prime example.
18753  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin cash price bottom out before bitcoin bct segwit activation? on: August 06, 2017, 07:30:27 AM
BIP 141 is about 498 blocks from getting locked in. I guess that is going to take another 2.5 days. Let's see what is going to happen after that. But I doubt whether there will be any major effect on the exchange rates. Because the locking in was a foregone conclusion.
18754  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Forks just encourages holders before the fork to keep bitcoins on exchanges on: August 06, 2017, 07:27:15 AM
Only a very few exchanges (such as YoBit and Bittrex) allowed the users to trade in BCH immediately after the chain came up online. The other exchanges were late by a few days, and some of them are yet to credit the BCH or allow the trading in that currency.
18755  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: To Buy BCH or not to Buy BCH? on: August 06, 2017, 07:25:24 AM
If you want to buy BCH, then I think that it will be a good idea to wait for some more time until the prices stabilize a bit. The exchange rates are ranging around BTC0.067 - BTC0.069 right now, and there is a chance that it may decline even further.

35% would vote for Achmed to go blow himself up. It does not mean they would do it themselves. It means 35% agree after watching the news of a achmed went up in a (I come in pieces) supermarket somewhere.

35% supports the suicide bombing, and that doesn't mean that they would blow themselves up for the offer of 72 virgins in heaven. These sort of indirect terrorist supporters are more dangerous than the real terrorists.
18757  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Transgenders are not allowed to serve the military. on: August 06, 2017, 07:21:57 AM
Transgender people are mentally ill and are not sure what they will be able to do during military service or during real military operations. I believe that such people should not be allowed to serve in the army, because there can be unpredictable consequences.

I agree with this. Trans-genders by default are mentally challenged people, as they are not sure whether they are male or female. Such people are not eligible for taking part in the military operations. If such people are allowed in, then it can pose a danger to the other members of the army.
18758  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you agree in death penalty? on: August 06, 2017, 07:18:57 AM
I pay taxes to ensure that such freaks live and they are provided with good living conditions. I do not agree with this

If we keep these criminals on death row for 30 or 35 years, then that is a wastage of the tax money as well. There should be a maximum time duration for their appeals, such as 3 years or 5 years. If they can't complete their appeals by then, the execution must be carried out.
18759  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Emergency on: August 06, 2017, 07:17:19 AM
I think Coinbase got the right approach where they gave people bcc equal to the amount of btc they had, at least that's what I read in their announcement.

From where you read that? As far as I know, Coinbase is refusing to credit the users with BCH. After a few attorneys threatened to sue them over this refusal, they announced that they "may consider" crediting the BCH coins by January 2018.
