So BUY BTC skip ETH for some enthusiasts.

Great tweetstorm on the current state of ETH.

I didn’t buy into the ETH ICO @ 2,000 ETH/BTC because I thought ETH was a scam. Turns out I was right. Doesn’t help that I could have been rich along the way.

Nice thread indeed.

He's trying too hard. Tuur, just a many other 'influencers', got lucky because they invested early in Bitcoin. Now they are self-proclaimed experts

Why Bitcoin matters for freedom.

Quote
Less than 1% of the world’s population — no more than 40 million people — have ever used Bitcoin. But, according to the Human Rights Foundation, more than 50% of the world’s population lives under an authoritarian regime. If we invest the time and resources to develop user-friendly wallets, more exchanges, and better educational materials for Bitcoin, it has the potential to make a real difference for the 4 billion people who can’t trust their rulers or who can’t access the banking system. For them, Bitcoin can be a way out.

Nothing has changed since 2008.

Buying and hodling for 5 years now.

You can easily hold with another 5 years to it.

Bitcoin will recover somewhere in 2019.

Next bull run will be driven by institutional investors.

Meh.
"The average channel capacity is approximately $120."
https://medium.com/@jcliff/the-lightning-network-cf836329626b

$120 is more than enough for a network specially disigned for micropayments.

Main chain will be great for medium to large transactions.

Lightning is for low, micro to sub-Satoshi payments.

I like sub-satoshi payments with LN Smiley

The winning price was the first of several 1 millisatoshi bids (one hundred billionth of one bitcoin). At the time of writing, the US-dollar denominated value of the bid is approximately $0.000000037.

Millisatoshis? So Bitcorn can easily go to over $1m now without running into the problem that 1 Sat = 1 Cent. Weeeeeeeee?

Bitcoin will blow away every payment system on Earth by orders of magnitudes. Cool
