Bitcoin’s Lightning Network Is Getting a Marketplace for Payment Channel Liquidity.

Quote
Today, Lightning Labs announced the release of Pool, “a non-custodial, peer-to-peer marketplace for Lightning node operators to buy and sell access to liquidity,” according to a press release. The service will allow Lightning Network users to lend out bitcoin in payment channels in return for yield. Businesses and services providers can then draw on this liquidity when needed to manage Lightning Network payment flows.

“Efficient capital allocation is one of the most widely felt pain points when using the Lightning Network. Existing node operators do not have access to pricing signals to help determine where in the network their outbound liquidity should be allocated, and new node operators have no way to signal that they need new inbound liquidity,” the press release states.

“Lightning Pool brings these two sides together into a single market while allowing them to maintain custody of their funds.”

Cool/Scary.  This could cause the west to start considering an adversarial stance towards Bitcoin.  Which we all know would be foolish.  But still...

Iran is bypassing the dollar and other currencies by using bitcoin which creates new economic opportunities, this will not be unnoticed by other countries, it has to start somewhere.

The digital Euro, Dollar and Yuan are coming and the Chinese want to replace the Dollar with Yuan as the new world reserve currency.( big reset?) Exiting times ahead, cAPSLOCK.

Breaking News Iran Changes Law to Use Bitcoin For Imports.

Quote
Iran has become the first country in the world to use cryptocurrencies at a state level for value exchange.

The Iranian Cabinet has amended legislation to redirect cryptos into the Central Bank of Iran’s funding mechanisms for imports, according to a Saturday report by the official IRNA news agency.

---

Iranian money has drastically fallen in value with inflation there at 34%, a situation that has been continuing since 2018.

The country is in the grip of US sanctions, so they can not use dollars for international trade.

They are therefore turning to bitcoin, the first country to do so at a state level, with the famous bitcoin volatility less of a consideration here because the situation is desperate.

Good morning WO!
Observing @ $ 13,200

So finally we are moving forward. I missed everything in-between. What changed?

Goodmorning BitcoinGirl.Club. Bitcoin is slowly decoupling from the stock and gold market.

Recent rise in #bitcoin  price and drop in gold price, increased the price of bitcoin to 7 ounces of gold. IMO this is significant.

Watching the same post at the same time lol.

It looks like Bitcoin is getting ready to conquer a larger portion of the gold market cap.

Right now BTC is at about 2.4% of the market size of gold.

This is only the beginning.

$1000 - $3000 dump will come sooner ore later. Will it occur around $14k, $20k ore $26k?

I can understand if you almost had a heart attack while the price bleeding from $20k to $4k.. just watch out, it will dwarf what will happen when this bubble pops.

Just prepair yourself mentally, next beark market the price will bleed with then of thousands of dollars. From $150k all the way down to $30k - $60k is just hardcore.

Longterm hodlers should reward themselfs to soften the pain...but you can still buy and hold many 4 year cycles ahead. Tongue

$14000 in one hour Grin

There is no to little resistance left between $14k and $20k.

If Bitcoin breaks $14k this week ore this month it will blast straight to $20k like a boss.

ATH will be reached at the end of this year ore first month(s) of 2021.

Global cases rises to almost 500,000 new infections.

Covid-19 is rising on a rapid scale in Europe, hospitalizations and ICU's are almost ore at max capacity in some countries. Europe is on the verge of losing control of its fight against Covid-19 and will slowly moving into lockdown (light) 2.0.

Cases in El Paso County in Texas skyrocketed and hospitals reached 100% capacity. Indiana, North Dakota, Montana, Oklahoma, Utah and Ohio reported record single day increases in new infections followed by records in 16 states.

Most parts of Asia seems to be spared.. atleast for now.

But watch out, in the cold winter months the virus will accelerate the spread and deaths even further. Though months ahead, stay save.

If you were not here during 2013 or 2017 bull markets: current #bitcoin price rise is just a small taste of what's next (weekly RSI in 70-90 range). We haven't even started!

$150,000 or more before 2022 & it’s going to be fucking glorious.

$150,000 $240,000 or more before 2022 2026 & it’s going to be fucking glorious.

$150,000 $500,000 or more before 2022 2030 & it’s going to be fucking glorious.

$150,000 $1,000,000 or more before 2022 2034 & it’s going to be fucking glorious.

Never sell all your Bitcoin but if you want taking some profits prefer selling at each 4-year cycle high.

I am gonna risk looking like a jackass... but you know.  No pride etc.

So many models show us kinda leveling out.  Losing volatility, not gaining quite as much as the first 3 times.  Follow the pattern.  Each candle gets a little smaller.   And it makes sense right?  I mean to go from $1 to 1000 takes less than a grand.  1000 to 20000 takes 19 grand.  Etc.  a LOOOOOT of money has to come in to get a cnadle like the first one this time.  Eventually it starts settling down.  Many long term analysts take this basic position.

However.

We have barely seen any adoption.  I think those first few waves?  Maybe more like tremors. (Hmm mixed metaphors)  The big one is still yet to come.  I think it is possible we see a candle at some point that is bigger than the first three.  Or at least breaks the pattern.  The upward part of the "S curve".  We might be about to see it now. when giant corps and nations start getting in. Retail won't really be able to even keep up.  And then after the surprise of surprises, we can see the descending volatility log curve top of the s curve sort of resume.

My biggest fear is it breaks bitcoin.  We are about to get the mamma of all throughput tests.  And we are liable to see BCH and ETH centralize and break.  I actually think LTC has more chance of staying somewhat decentralized than the others.

The right choices were made for BTC.  But we will need to start making the world understand why fees are not the point.  Because I predict they are about to get pretty damn big.

Bitcoin will bubble up all the way to $1m per pop in 10 years, it will be legendary. Smiley

Schnorr and Taproot Upgrade Proposal Merged Into Bitcoin Core.

Quote
The implementation of the Schnorr/Taproot consensus rules has been merged into Bitcoin Core. However, the upgrade's activation method has yet to be determined.

The pull request was originally created by Bitcoin Core contributor Pieter Wuille on September 13th and has gone through extensive review and testing over the past month. Over 150 developers also participated in a 7-week review club for the proposal which was led by Anthony Towns back in November of 2019.

This upgrade has been highly anticipated due to its potential to increase Bitcoin’s smart contract capabilities while simultaneously benefiting its transactional privacy.

God save us from any upgrade's activation method debate! Grin I am not ready for a segwit, no2x, big block kind of drama now. We have other things to do.  Wink

I don't see any form of resistance so it will be much easier to get consensus for this than segwit, expect activation to take some months ore even spring 2021.
