I've only (randomly) met one person who knew anything about bitcoin. Recently, one of our movers was unloading boxes, furniture, whatever into our new home, and he caught me as I was walking by. He had just set down a few framed paintings / artworks, including my original 2014 "What is Bitcoin?" screenprint poster (#11/100 by forum member nubbins, IIRC). He asked me if the artwork was meant to inspire people into adopting bitcoin as a currency. I told him, yes. Then I asked him if he'd ever heard of it, and he said yes, because he trades in "digital currency."  On reflection, he's likely able to do a LOT of trading when one considers the small fortune (plus tip) that I paid to him for moving services. In fact, I should've made him pay for the Krispy Kreme donuts that morning.

You know how I love making doodles! Unfortunately, I think that if I were to make a new doodle for the winner, then I'd be obligated to make a new doodle for every winner of every future sale or auction, and that could be a lot of doodles. I think it's best to stick with our current doodles policy -- a free doodle with every purchase from TBPCo.

Wow! Thanks for all the photo submissions, everyone! As you all know, I'm a big fan of that particular artist, and I always look forward to seeing samples of his work!

OK, the move is over, and we're in our new home in Greenville, SC. (Whew! It's been a super busy summer!) My summer travels are over, and I'm ready to settle back into the daily world of BTForums and all of my friends here.

And to start things off, here's a doodle I made last week (or was it the week before?) for a customer in Spain. I call it "Tent & Campfire." My scanner was packed and ready for moving, so I was only able to take a quick snapshot with my iPhone. Starting today, I'll be back to scanning all my doodles for a possible future doodle collection project.



Viz, Regarding your "This Doodle Belongs To:" doodle, I've always liked those word-only doodles. It's the ironist in me. (Is ironist -- one who likes irony -- even a word? It is now.)  I also like Mitchell's "Bitcoin Penny™ Postcard" doodle. In fact, I think he should actually post it to me in the US, let me scan it (for a special before and after page in the above-mentioned possible future doodle collection project) with all those colorful Netherland-y postage stamps, then auction it off right here on BTForums. I'd be super happy to win it.

Hmm... It looks like we'll have to choose between (A) placing the THANK YOU doodle card on top of the package contents before sealing the box (as a happy welcome upon opening the package) and (B) placing it on the bottom of the box under everything else (as a way to keep it from bending / warping during transit).

Hello again, everyone. Just a quick update on the prizes...

We finally received our new stock of DAVE coins (after a very long wait), and the five (5) custom 1st Place prizes have been hand-rolled, packaged, and shipped to all 1st Place winners -- Congratulations again!

What? I would never think you're dishonest for waiting a few days. Don't be silly.

As for the pre-sale, yes. Originally, we were waiting for the funds to arrive before reserving the Bank Bags. At this stage, I'd be inclined to simply reserve one without payment; However, I'm not sure if that's particularly fair to those who had to pay in advance before we placed the order. Just to be on the fair / safe side, let's go ahead and require payment in advance as we did with the other customers.

In the meantime, we have two (2) of the Canvas Bank Bags still available, and I expect that one will be pre-sold to you, and perhaps the last one to killyou72. I'll definitely keep this thread posted with the availability updates.
