8 points is not final because Manchester City only played 27 matches while Arsenal 28 matches so Manchester City has the opportunity to get 3 more points I mean if Manchester City wins on the 28th match then the points are 64 or just a difference of 5 points. Anyway Manchester City still have a chance for the title and Arsenal are not safe yet.
The gap has been 5 points from some time and once gunners win it turns to 8 until City win and things return to the first point. There is 10 rounds left to play, so we are talking about a maximum of 30 points to collect for Arsenal and 33 for City. It is early to judge which team could get the title at this point but definitely it will be between gunners and City. So with Bayern Munich's loss today they lost their first place to Dortmund, I was expecting Bayern Leverkusen to make things really tough for Bayern Munich, but when they led with one goal i thought they are heading for a win, but penalties in the 2nd half gave Bayern Leverkusen the win, things are getting really complicated for Bayern Munich especially with Dortmund getting in a very good form.
That was quite unexpected result from Bayern! A defeat against Leverkusen which isn't playing their best season made Bayern look unstable here. When you see Bayern playing in Champions League and kicking PSG then losing a simple domestic game whether vs Leverkusen or another easier team, you wonder know what's going on with them. Bayern lost the first place for Dortmund which had a great game against Koln and defeated them by 6 goals. Sometimes, the high number of stars in a team produces reverse effect, as everyone of them would want to show themselves over the others. That is what's happening with PSG. The problem wasn't a single day in the coaching staff, because the team was coached by some of the best European coaches, but still the same results every season. I'm not talking about the local league because it was always easy to win for them, but I'm talking about one of their highest ambitions, the European Champions League. However, the problem lies in the mentality of the management staff who think that money can bring them the trophies they want. Therefore, they need to change their mentality and start working on a new generation who will play for the name of the club, not for the money.
Indeed having the best players and the best coaches from years didn't guarantee having Champions League title for PSG unfortunately. They should take lessons from Real Madrid and the other winners to advance there. The local league isn't that hard to achieve even though that PSG still struggle with some teams sometimes. Real madrid started El Clasico with a great advantage. Real madrid first goal was a quick start. Barcelona tried a lot during the match. Barcelona scored a goal before the first half ended. In the second half, Barcelona sought a lot of goals. It was really great, we saw good positions in El Clasico. Offside positions and lots of saves from goalkeepers. Both teams attacked each other until the end of the match. Barcelona won the El Clasico with a last minute goal. The point difference is at the top, they can now celebrate the league championship.
Regardless of the early goal, the performance of the players and the manager choices, the final result literally destroyed Real Madrid hope to recover and get closer from Barcelona. We are talking right now about a huge points gap as much as 12 points. There is 12 matches left so Barcelona needs to win 2/3 of matches left to get the title which shouldn't be hard at all. Many goals were scored in the quarter final games of FA Cup. All games ended up with 4-6 goals being scored. Regarding the draw for the semi final matches, I think that City has a better fixture and Sheffield shouldn't be a problem for them.
For ManU, well their game will be vs Brighton which isn't an easy opponent. I believe it is early to talk about games that will start in a month but FA Cup seems to end up in Manchester this season.

Arsenal are very determined about making it to the league title now. Their performance against Crystal Palace was another proof of how much they want this. Crystal Palace couldn't do much thing against them honestly which was the expected from them. You can't deal with this Arsenal in Emirates especially if you are a smaller team.
Arsenal have all the motivation they need for the championship now. As they are out of the Champions League as well they can focus on the Premier League completely. This is their biggest chance to go for it.
The only thing left for Arsenal to achieve this season is EPL title, so it is normal to see them trying their best here. For Crystal Palace, this is the 4th defeat in a row and the situation is very complicated there since many teams behind them still lacks a game or two to play. I assume there will be an Italian finalist, not necessarily Napoli even though they are the first and the best in Serie A but they have their moments of weakness and Milan or Inter could surprise them. Manchester City is huge favorite against Burnley and it would be sensational if they get kicked out from FA Cup, but I wouldn't underestimate Burnley who is playing great this season.
I think Man City will rest some players because they have important matches in EPL and Champions League, so they will come out with mixed squad.
There is still enough time for the Champions League game vs Bayern and even for the next EPL match so I think Guardiola could push the whole squad at some point if things aren't well in that match. Players should just be careful from injuries since it may impact their fitness /presence when facing Bayern. I believe City will win in this match and 2 goals difference is achievable. Manchester United should win against Fulham but I think we can see both teams scoring in this match.
Fulham never won a match against Man United and I don't think it will happen this time.
My bet is on Man United to win, but they are missing several player so be careful.

The Turkish teams were a big disappointment in this tournament unfortunately. The second legs were just terrible for Sivasspor and Basaksehir both.
Just look at the Basaksehir - Gent game I mean. Basaksehir conceded 4 goals in 7 minutes against Gent. It is really hard to believe because in the end Gent aren't a big team such as Bayern Munich etc.. Basaksehir could have played much better home. They just lost their focus very easily which cost them too much. Sivasspor also gave up against Fiorentina easily. Fiorentina are of course a more challenging team to beat compared to Gent but this was still winnable for Sivasspor. They could have extended the matchup to extra time at least.
Although there is some Turkish teams that have big names and attracting good players, they still fail to advance further in the European competitions. It is partially related to the lower performance of their rivals in Turkey and sometimes to the power of their European opponents. What I mostly noticed is their fluctuating performance between the two legs. They can resist in one and fail in the other leg even when playing home.. This require a lot of work and efforts from the owners, managers and players.. |

Newcastle united won 2-1 away with a goal in the last minutes and it should be noted that they got an important 3 points. newcastle, who stopped the bad run against the wolves last week, managed to defeat their out of form opponent this week. Newcastle were the dominant side in the match despite being away.The first half of the match ended in a draw with mutual goals and they won the match 2-1 with Alexander Isak's penalty goal in the last minute.Newcastle united's 2 goals came from Isak.
Newcastle saved themselves from a bad situation in case of a draw, with a late and important goal! A draw will give Liverpool an opportunity to catch them up while the 3 points will make them able to pass Spurs since Newcastle still lacks 1 match comparing to them.

Indeed a funny one. When you take a look on the teams on the right, you feel that all of them fit to play semi-finals and obviously City - Bayern couldn't be better than a final match. I don't know if City journey will be over at this point or they could challenge Bayern. I have the feeling that Bayern is unstoppable in Champions League, could Guardiola and his players made the history this season and win the title? Real Madrid is the favourite in the other game. If this wasn't a night of big surprises I don't know what this is then,Villareal losing at home to a struggling Anderlecht in their home league and they come and win in Villareal in Spain,in Europa League Arsenal probably made a huge number of tickets lost because they could not win against Sporting at regular time and they are now playing penalties.
Except these big surprises tonight in European lower leagues compared to Champions League everything else went pretty smoothly with the other big teams qualifying comfortably and West Ham showed once again their supremacy in this competition.
There were plenty of surprises in Europa League with Arsenal and Union Berlin getting kicked off but also in Conference League where the situation isn't any better for several teams in fact. I didn't expect at all to see Villarreal and Lazio leaving soon honestly! Istanbul got a draw in the away game and lost with 3 goals difference home! Same thing with Sivasspor even though I didn't expect much from them since Fiorentina is better anyway. West Ham showed the best performance and Nice is another competitor and contender for the title. |

Arsenal against Porto is definitely worth watching although admittedly they must now accept the fact that they have to be knocked out in the last 16 now.
You mean Sporting and not Porto Penalties are clearly a matter of mentality and in this match Gabriel Martineli failed to carry out his role which knocked Arsenal out.
I don't blame a team losing with penalties since there is a huge hazardous part but I blame Arsenal not being apt to kick Sporting since the 1st leg, or even before playing penalties in the second leg.. The bright side is that they can focus more in the EPL now.
Gunners will focus now in EPL since they don't have anymore competition to play for..
In the other matches, Union Berlin made another surprising quit, along with Donetsk but in terms of goals! |

Since the website has been seized I assume there is legal actions being taken if not already by feds to the owner(s) if they have the possibility to reach them or their funds. Even if everything was fine, I doubt there will be another service having the same name. Maybe another mixer in a different form? Bitmixer was a good known service that was voluntarily stopped by the owner and now it is ChipMixer that was forcefully stopped and the list is long.. |

Liverpool will never forget what Real Madrid has actually done to the club in history when it comes to the champions league, Madrid has denied Liverpool several opportunities they've got to scaling through in the Champions League compition in their various meetings with Real Madrid and Liverpool needs go back to think on a better way to try qualify for next season champions league and too build a stronger team than what they have now, restrategize in case they happens to meet Madrid again come next season so that Madrid wouldn't stop them.
Real Madrid denied Champions League for several teams in its history including Liverpool that were so unlucky with them these years. Liverpool tried to revenge every time but they failed so far to kick Real Madrid from UCL. Overall Real Madrid are better and deserve to pass. Liverpool this season are weaker than the previous ones. They have 2 goals advantage in the beginning of the first leg game but they cannot keep it that way and the aggregate ended up after the two games with plenty of goals. 4 matches out of the 8 had 5 goals or more scored between the two legs! |

We have some minutes away to the start of the match, For Liverpool to survive the game today and to eventually qualifies to the next round of this champions league compition ,that will be a some sort of miracle, possibly what I guess they could get in this game tonight is wining Real Madrid at their home and Real Madrid will win the overall aggregate score line.
Miracles are known to happen to Real Madrid in Champions League I don't recall a team doing such great comeback the way Real Madrid did in the previous version. I assume City and the other teams are praying for Liverpool victory to get ride of Real Madrid  |
