there isn't really a set amount for being a whale since the whale is not an exact explanation. and i think it differs from market to market. but basically you can call anybody who has deep pocket and can control the market price if he whishes.

what i understood from their website, is that after a set time the mining algo is going to change from what it is right now and from then on the mining reward is going to be reduced so the creation of new coins will be slowed down but still there will be a huge amount available by then.
it says nothing about the maximum number though!!

Sure some mined coins must be hold for a while as they can be worth around 10x more the actual,but can you wait to that happen?The pump and dump with altcoins will always happen thats why people love crypto.I would sell all and focus at bitcoin right now.
One example is Ethereum. I sold most of mine at $1.2. It is $10 now. Ethereum was surely an interesting ride with all the hype and the big rise. but that is just an exception of a very big rise in a short time. the rest of the coins aren't that profitable. |

this and also looking at the history of market and also the orderbook shows that there is actual resistence against price going down.

Halving might rise price just before the halving, and then a little after the halving. Just after halving it is likely that many will sell due to increase in price and panic.
But it can happen the other way around, who knows lol.
The panic of user will brings the price down again so i think its better to sell just a little and slowly so we wont end up in 400 again. the users will continue expecting a rise, there is not going to be any panic. just the expected time will shift even if the price doesn't change. |

does Electrum desktop wallet has transaction fee ?
bitcoin wallet doesn't add the fee (it doesn't require fee) the network or the miners will need the fee. meaning you can send without fee but miners will not accept it. |

i think this is the biggest opperation that i have seen done for bitcoin.
i specially love the part that it lets you buy gift cards on top of everything else, ofcourse this part is not new but it is a good thing to have on top of just selling bitcoin.

i have never liked saving my money when there is a chance of investing it even if it is small investment i always prefer doing it as long as the profit is better than what i get out of the bank annual profit.

I hope that Bitcoin will be in 2020 the most used Payment method in the future. But that is really hard to say because you never know what can happen.
I hope later that there will be more people that also use some Bitcoin and that they must know that it will be the future.
I think then it Bitcoins not even exist frankly. Or it no longer exists or it is really worth a lot. It will still exist but its the question if the price is still as good as its now, because the bitcoin can also collapse of course. Its not the predict of course but everything could happen but disappearing is not what is gonna happen. The bitcoin will still exist I have no doubts about if I'm honest, 2020 will be a good year I'm sure of it. Think about the fact there will come another halving and it will most likely be in 2020. there is not doubt about existing of bitcoin in the future. even if the price is $1 it is going to sill exist and be used. but apart from that i think bitcoin is going to become more popular so the price is also going up and hopefully there are no debates like block size anymore by then |

it is different from time to time.
right now making a profit from trading bitcoin daily is hard because it is somehwhat stable but it is not always this way.
but in alcoin market you can always find good cases to do your day-trading and make profit.

and although it can be addictive and lead to destruction of you and your finances but it is not happening to everybody and there are a lot of people who are just gambling for fun.

Funny to see an E-sports topic. This shows that E-sports is really growing and more and more people are tuning in with it.
I believe that with in a couple of years we can see some of theses competitive matches on tv.
this is not new. betting on E-sports has been going on for a very long time. and there are a lot of websites for it too, just check dota2lounge and you will see. ther new part is betting with money because so far the betting was with in game items. |

Maybe you can better wait a little longer, because the value will be more down later in the future. You never know what can happen.
Bu I think that the value will rise in the future and that is good for the people who already have Bitcoin.
while i agree with anything can happen, but what reason do you have to say wait price will go down? becuase the rise is not going to wait for us and going to happen so fast we are gonna miss it if we don't plan ahead. |

i don't think that solving the block size debate is going to change the price by that much.
it would be a good news and for sure it is going to raise the price and maybe cause the halving bubble that we were waiting for.
but the real rise will come only by mass adoption in every store and services online and offline.
The block size debate is holding back mass adoption. Basically, unless BTc can handle large numbers of transactions, there is not going to be mass adoption. so you are saying businesses like Amazon, Ebay,... and many people who are not accepting bitcoin is because they know that blocks are full?!!! because that is not right. besides if you check unconfirmed transactions from time to time, there is normal amount of ~2000 unconfirmed if there is no attack. so i don't even see any urge. |

neither, use core with prune mode, it's everything you ever need, yes i understand the missing features such a off line signing, but i'm sure it can be added in the future(dunno why they didn't already)

about a year ago there were a couple of pump groups here on the forum and they were so active.
but since their work was full of scam with many shill accounts they were banned.
it was an interesting experience to see how they performed from afar.

since i don't think in the far away future we are going to see dollar (or any fiat) as they are now so i don't see why bitcoin should replace them. all those currencies will evolve to better payment systems in time and bitcoin can exist at the same time and be used globally.

my best gambling victory was getting a giveaway as big as 0.005BTC and nearly making the same amount as profit in dice, and luckily not lose and be able to withdraw all of it.
but that only happened once for me.
