No? Why not?

You're a liar and will not pay back.
19182  Economy / Lending / Re: Need .4 BTC loan on: July 08, 2013, 05:07:42 PM
Getting us all gased up that you will be paying Joey a visit and now you seem to be letting this issue go. So lame dude. This thread has gone from epic to epic FAIL.

+1

I though someone was going to visit Joey on Wed?  What happened?
19183  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.14 BTC Loan on: July 08, 2013, 05:07:02 PM
I need to make a transaction for virtual goods ( video game money) tomorrow.  So this is my last chance or ill miss my opportunity.

Then you'll have to miss the opportunity.  Millions of people miss out on millions of things everyday because they don't have the money.  That's how the world works.
19184  Economy / Lending / Re: 1 BTC loan request on: July 08, 2013, 03:36:48 PM
Hello and thank you for your response.  Pictures of your equipment will show that you have equipment, but a lender is more concerned about being paid back.  With all the scams going on recently, lenders have shown they are unwilling to lend any coin without collateral equal to or exceeding the value of the coins lent.

If you are serious about obtaining a 1btc loan, I would ask you to provide collateral.  Thank you.
19185  Economy / Lending / Re: 1 BTC loan request on: July 08, 2013, 02:44:26 PM
Thank you for using the Bitcointalk lending forum.  My name is Vod and I am happy to be your lending agent.

I notice you did not take into account delays in converting fiat into BTC.  If you are paid in fiat on Thursday, how would you go about repaying BTC on the same day?  Before we go any further, please state what type of collateral you will be using to secure the loan.  This will give the borrowers information on your credit risk.

Thank you.

Just had to LOL...  Cheesy
19187  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it safe to purchase items from eBay with bitcoin directly? on: July 07, 2013, 10:50:02 PM
I can almost guarantee you are going to get scammed. Ebay will give you 0 support if you pay with bitcoin.

Cheers, that's what I figured tbh. Especially since the seller made no mention of increasing his BTC price after the recent ~30% drop in USD value.
Although he has triple digit 100% positive feedback, who's to know how many neg feedbacks were disregarded in the past if the disputes all went in his favour?

Still, some more advice would be appreciated, especially if someone has successfully resolved a dispute of this fashion...

Ask him if he'll accept escrow.  If he refuses, it's probably a scam.

This caused me to loose my Google Authenticator details for inputs and Coinlenders. Sad

Tighten it up.   Wink

Yes, I saw that video.  Poor dog.   Cry
19190  Other / Meta / Re: Why do we allow trading of accounts? on: July 07, 2013, 09:41:56 PM
I've searched on here but the forum's search isn't very good...

Anyways, I understand letting people use Alts, one for their business and one for personal, or to register a new name to bring up a controversial topic.  That I get.  What I don't understand is why people are allowed to buy and sell usernames on this forum?  It makes trusting someone very screwy to work with when an account changes hands and the person you trust no longer controls his account!

So I was wondering if a mod or someone could provide some rationale for this?  What are the benefits of letting people trade accounts?

With TOR, it is impossible to restrict duplicate accounts, so why try "half ass"?
19191  Other / Off-topic / Re: Isn't the USA just....a very big prison? on: July 07, 2013, 09:38:19 PM
I live in the US.

There are things the government do that I don't agree with but this is a free country.

You think so?  Try filming the police in a public location.   Undecided

19192  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: POLL: Is TradeFortress a scammer? on: July 07, 2013, 09:34:58 PM
No, I'm not going to blame the victim, regardless of "likability", gtfo, lol.

Well, this is the first time I have interacted with you, and you've already been an ass.

The large red warnings under your name to the left back it up - the issue is with you, not TradeFortress.
19193  Other / Off-topic / Re: just got a free tv on: July 07, 2013, 09:23:12 PM
my sister just won a new tv so gave me her old one what do you think of it .

You're not worried she hid a tiny camera in there?  Your sister is freaky that way.  She recorded everything we did together.
19194  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: POLL: Is TradeFortress a scammer? on: July 07, 2013, 09:18:50 PM
Looks like TF is laying low, looking for a big scam opportunity at this point

Is he?  I see him very active promoting his many popular websites.  People seem to trust him, and like him.  Have you considered the issue might be you?
19195  Economy / Digital goods / Re: WTS: Loads of bitcoin-related domains on: July 07, 2013, 08:43:31 PM
There are a couple domains I might be interested in.  What is your minimum btc price?

Edit:  Also wanted to add you might get more interest if you moved this to Digital Goods.  That is where I look for my domain names.
19196  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How Juneteenth will rob you- PART ONE on: July 07, 2013, 08:27:11 PM
Am I in the wrong thread? I thought this was for Scam Accusations......... I am just trying to accuse a Scam of a scam... sorry to waste everyones time! happy trading  Cheesy

This is for Scam Accusations.  More sarcasm?   Wink
19197  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How Juneteenth will rob you- PART ONE on: July 07, 2013, 07:35:18 PM
So if I understand correctly, you gave a giftcard to a stranger on the internet and you are surprised he took it and ran?

Please tell me I'm missing something

wow.. must admit I am very surprised at all of the sarcasm coming from forum members.
I didn't realize I had asked for anyones pity. Just trying to prevent this from happening to anyone else. Seems as though Juneteenth has done this before but no one has taken action. I apologize as I didn't realize scam prevention was unacceptable here... Srry guys!!!!

Well, his message was NOT sarcastic, but your message was.   Undecided
19198  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: How Juneteenth will rob you- PART ONE on: July 07, 2013, 07:26:53 PM
You can't see the fact it says "Warning: Trade with Extreme Caution!" underneath his name?

It only said that after I left negative trust after he took my money. There was no negative trust beforehand...
but thanks a lot for pointing that out  Wink

You leaving negative trust would not have any affect on his rating.

See this user for example:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=37522
19199  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitinstant "can not identify" me. I can not register on: July 07, 2013, 07:22:55 PM
Thank you, if a mod could move my post to the correct section I'd appreciate it.  I don't see an option to do so.

Lower left, after the thread.  You can move it yourself.  Smiley

How would you control cheating?  Would the system generate different questions each time it was run?
