1921  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FED raises fund rate and Signal possible paused on: May 04, 2023, 03:15:16 PM

What do you think will happen? this is a type of event that every 16 years actually has this problem due to inflation. Please also give your opinion on this matter.

Reference: https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2023/05/03/fed-rate-hike-powell-banks/
The hypothesis is that the price will move according to the interest or that bitcoin is the only trend of cash flows is not true, the markets have already the price of 25 basis points a basis point during the past month, so it is in my view, the probability of the price raises above 30K is not possible or at least Not sustainable. Real heights may take place after more than a month when the next meeting comes, but all this by assuming that the interest is the basic price controller (which is not a precision).
1922  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Tornado cash still up and usable? on: May 04, 2023, 03:00:54 PM
I have come across a tornado cash looking site, but I am not sure if it's real or a phishing site?

https://ipfs.io/ipns/tornadocash.eth/
Why the site interface is similar to the mixing service from @whierwindmoney, the similarity is almost close to matching.
It seems that the site is real, but I advise you to stay away from it. The developer has been arrested and service is under Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and there are many accusations of this service for that, especially for account based cryptos.
1923  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Embrace yourselves for what's coming on: May 04, 2023, 02:52:51 PM
If you are here in 2018 you know what I am talking about, ETH is unforgiving in every bull market.
Your strategy is supposed to include a mechanism to reduce ethereum fees and thus benefit more, such as using the second layer solutions, as the transactions on the polygon are very cheap and you can use the stake -proof currencies to reduce the fees as the amount of $ 10 may suffice to create more than a thousand treatment, which is more than enough for more than the year.

can also try to sell ETH once and use better wallet that have a better gas price estimation,

They are all additional solutions.
1924  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Is there a way to downgrade Electrum android wallet on: May 04, 2023, 01:53:18 PM
My seed phrase is stored in my computer which is out of reach right now while I have multiple imported wallet on electrum that I don’t want to write down the seed phrase manually. Is this possible?
It is possible, but I do not advise you to do so because wallet files are among the hidden files and you need to access them for root to reach this file /data/data/org.ectrum.ectrum/files/data/wallets
So writing it is the easiest solution. Try whether Mater public key can be copied, if it is all that you need is to make the new wallets only watch.

I noticed that the article from the year 2017, is it still working with new Android OSs?
1925  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to use Bull Flag Chart Pattern? on: May 04, 2023, 01:38:49 PM

Another characteristic to watch out for is the downward volume trend during the formation, however, diminishing volume is not an absolute rule. The breakout from the flag pattern should occur on high volume and confirm the continuation of the uptrend. The strength of the bull flag depends on how sharp the initial price spike was in the flagpole. During the consolidation phase, traders watch out for the price break up through the upper trendline and make a new high since it shows the bulls are in control again to push another rally.

This is one of the mistakes that I was falling, which is that I did not analyze the price well, and it received trading volumes when the resistance barrier is broken and a consolidation occurred, and therefore without there there are high trading volumes, the correction will be the option instead of a large green candle.

Generally, thank you for a good explanation, but I was hoping that the plans are related to bitcoin with active examples through historical data.
1926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Promising altcoins? on: May 04, 2023, 01:04:12 PM
Ethereum (ETH),Binance Coin (BNB),XRP (XRP). how to choose how to distribute the interest on them?
These crypto already have a significant market value and a percentage of cryptocurrency market, so it is rare for the movement of violating the market to marry the market, and given that the bitcoin is the leader of the market direction, these currencies will follow the price of bitcoin in most cases unless there is a change that leads to this.

So if the option was counted between these three currencies in ETHEREUM (ETH) is the only one that deserves to be investigated in the long run.
You can invest in Binance Coin (BNB) when there is news taught in the platform because this coin is a reflection of Binance performance.

XRP (XRP) is not a long -term investment project, you can just buy it for low withdrawal prices for all platforms[1].

1927  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Liquidity providers to drive market to higher level on: May 04, 2023, 12:45:54 PM
Many platforms believe that whenever you offer a higher return to deposit the liquidity for users, they will keep their money, but as soon as the profits decrease, you will have to reduce the return, and then you will find that more started to withdraw his money.

The good decentralized platform accommodates its reputation and the mechanism of its work with a low return, but it is sustainable. Here you will find that many are starting to firm in the platform and ready to provide liquidity for a return of 4% per month.

Are you from the developed team and can you explain the advantages of oscar swap?
1928  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: FBI disrupts 9 crypto exchanges used to facilitate criminal activities on: May 04, 2023, 12:35:07 PM
Some exchanges will probably block US customers if they want to keep their no-KYC policy available. Although I'm not sure if that is a good move from a business standpoint. People should look for decentralized solutions to avoid being locked out of their accounts before their exchange starts to demand KYC.
What is happening from the last war will open the door easy to close any crypto exchange. All you need is to accuse these platforms of laundering money or unlawful trade and you will find enough justification to close it.

The most important for platforms is not the closure because it can work from the Kayman Islands, but it is difficult to create bank accounts in the European Union or the United States will deprive them of many of the liquidity they need to continue advertisements or pay salaries to employees.
1929  Economy / Economics / Re: Effects of Crypto and Bitcoin on the Economy on: May 03, 2023, 12:27:31 PM
Because of crypto a lot of people become familiar at knowledgeable when it comes to Saving .
I do not know, but with a quick look at what is happening in the forum, and although earning from signature campaigns cross good amounts in some countries, once a week has passed, you will know that many people have become more dependent on profits from cryptocurrencies, and therefore such people will not survive in savings.

Financial experience comes from learning and experience and through financial knowledge, and therefore even if you invest in those currencies unless you have a good financial background, investing in Bitcoin will be nothing more than extra profits that you will spend on buying more luxury.
1930  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Any guide lines for bug bounty hunters on: May 03, 2023, 12:06:45 PM
At some point the project CEOs might regret not paying larger rewards when they notice that the bug hunters become information sellers.

The feeling that you are paying for the security team and the people who are active in searching for bugs is terrifying because it is a double-edged sword.

If you put a prize of $50,000 to hack your site, you will attract hackers to try to hack your site more than what would happen in the normal situation.

In short, it is the economics of cost, as profits are in exchange for security, and therefore many CEOs do not care about the privacy of customers and their data as long as a reasonable profit is achieved.
Thus, you will find that most campaigns focus on deep bugs that may lead to losing their money.
1931  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: FBI disrupts 9 crypto exchanges used to facilitate criminal activities on: May 03, 2023, 11:54:53 AM
It seems that US is serious about fighting unlicensed platforms, as there is a Virtual Currency Response Team (VCRT) dedicated to such a response, but according to this report ----> https://www.justice.gov/usao-edmi/pr/fbi-disrupts-virtual-currency-exchanges-used-facilitate-criminal-activity , no notice has been issued against those who run these sites, which appear to be from a country where Interpol cannot issue a red notice Or am I wrong?!

exchanges that were sized seem small, but this opens the way for all platforms that do not require verification of identity that they will be next on that list.
1932  Economy / Economics / Re: Coinbase CTO lose his 1million bet on: May 03, 2023, 11:36:05 AM
I'm not a legal expert, but is this donation enough to evade taxes? If so, many will take advantage of this loophole in the tax system.

My personal opinion of her is that he is trying to pay that money to individuals, but he is ashamed of the reason for paying, perhaps because of a scandal, or to silence their voice, or for any legal or illegal reason, and therefore such treatment will reduce the damage to his reputation.

All in all, regardless of the reason, betting $1 million on Bitcoin seems like a pretty crazy idea.
1933  Other / Meta / Re: Restrict newbies from posting in the lending board? on: May 03, 2023, 01:39:21 AM
+ 1, I support this proposal.
If all newbie members who apply for a loan end up with a negative trust, it is better to restrict posting to jrmember accounts, will greatly reduce spam.

If this is not possible, a warning message like what happens in the Investor-based games board will suffice.
1934  Economy / Economics / Re: How will Fed bailing out banks increase inflation? on: May 03, 2023, 01:18:36 AM
There are many factors that ultimately lead to an increase in inflation.

Inflation has various sources other than printing money and mismanagement of financial systems. There is inflation that comes from high energy prices, supply chains, retail sales, and others.

It is also a mistake to think that providing liquidity to all these banks means an increase in inflation, because if it does not do so, we may start a financial crisis than 2007–2008 financial crisis[1], but as a result, the Fed’s move will increase one of the factors of inflation, which may lead to an increase in inflation, or it may not lead.

In general, I fear monetary policy turmoil more than the liquidity problem, because it means pouring water and adding more gasoline to the fire.

1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: POLYGON as a national currency. on: May 03, 2023, 12:50:09 AM
What steps can a country leader takes before adopting POLYGON as a means of payment or transactions in a country with low level of education. As it's known to be one of the best user friendly platform for easy transactions.
POLYGON is the layer 2 solution to Ethereum high fees problem that may fail to be an attractive currency if many variables occur, such as:

 - POLYGON fees go up
 - Ethereum failure or any problems happen with Ethereum will effect it because it is built on top of it.
 - High fees are no longer a problem for Ethereum.
 - New coin appears  with cheaper fees and more efficient.

With all that I mentioned, can this currency be a national currency that millions of people rely on and whose lives are affected by it? of course not.
1936  Other / Archival / Re: Sinbad.io Mixer - secure, fast and easy to use on: May 03, 2023, 12:41:23 AM

It really is a concern when phishing sites want to take the credit from the real one checking this

Code:
sinbadmixer.io
on whois they have an extension of their domain for 3 years I think the management should put a warning on the existence of these clones and phishing sites and check if they are on the right Sinbad mixing site, like what Pancakeswap is showing on their page.
I am afraid that the scammer is reading this post and then adding the real domain name as phishing site warning.
The best solution, in my view, is for the user to verify the service links using ANN page or sinbad signatures.
Also, it should be published on the site that it is necessary to visit bitcointalk ANN page to receive updates before making any mixing process.
1937  Economy / Speculation / Re: Month of May. Bitcoin price guess on: May 01, 2023, 04:49:00 AM
I do not see a sufficient reason for the price to rise to several new levels, and therefore we will be lucky if we see rises within the limits of the next resistance level represented by the highest above $32,000, reaching $36,000, but it is very difficult to reach $40,000 levels.

So assuming that, it is safe to say that we will get a correction at $30,000 or keep that price as a peak of current prices, with a price range from $31,000 to $27,000.

The prediction for a month is relatively far away and there is a monthly contest here ---------> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5447399.0. I hope they will renew it for May.
1938  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Please check your binance address on: May 01, 2023, 03:35:13 AM
I remember that a while ago I sent some  bitcoins to a wrong address, and fortunately I discovered that that address was one of the addresses of binance, which I stopped using because they ask for KYC, I thought that those funds were lost, but I logged in and withdraw my money even my account was not complete KYC, which happened several months after I stopped using that account, so I hope to be careful and check your account before doing anything Deposit to an old address.
1939  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Any guide lines for bug bounty hunters on: May 01, 2023, 03:22:06 AM
Do you have ever participate bug bounty hunting for startup projects like publish immunefi platform? Seeking guide for start these tasks.

Unfortunately, many of these campaigns do not abide by their promises, or at least pay using them tokens, so it is better to look for more reliable sources and then ensure that you get your profits.
If your hacking skills are good then why not try  -----> https://bitcointalk.org/sbounties.php
1940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You shouldn't be worried about bitcoin on: May 01, 2023, 03:03:29 AM
Generations of the computer industry was a development of human desires in the industry, and the development will continue in many industries. For example, according to Moore's Law, that the number of transistors on a microchip doubles every two years[1].

Hence, the development of transistors marks a complete revival of the industry, and it is different from Bitcoin, in which development is good, but it is separated by sufficient alertness and proper use.
Many think of Bitcoin as an investment or a speculative tool, and therefore it will not make a difference if I keep it in a note or in a bank, but its use as a currency is very limited.
