1921  Local / Polski / Re: Porozmawiajmy poważnie o Merit Source. on: March 05, 2019, 04:49:28 PM
Obecnie mam go aż 113 mimo że ostatnio porozdawałem go trochę w naszym dziale. Dobrze by było rozruszać tę sekcję.

Trzymajcie go dla innych osób.
1922  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Lightning network : what about receiving payments ? on: March 04, 2019, 08:08:03 PM
Can you tell me the command line arguments for lncli in order to open a dual-funded channel ?

There is no such command because dual-funded channels haven't been introduced yet. Using -push-amt parameter results in being able to receive payments if the other party is connected to someone else, but that's pointless. Why would anyone do that only to gain liquidity?
1923  Local / Polski / Re: Jaki wybrać bank? on: March 04, 2019, 10:26:24 AM

1924  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: LN withdraw with Blue wallet? on: March 04, 2019, 08:08:34 AM
On that page, they ask for my "BTC refund address or invoice" and my "BTC blockchain address".
I don't know how to obtain either of these things. Do you?

An invoice is currently the only way to send coins to someone else over the Lightning Network (Sphinx is not widely available yet). You should be able to generate an invoice by accessing your Lightning Network wallet inside Blue wallet app, clicking Receive and filling up necessary information (satoshis to be received; description is optional). You can give them either your on-chain address or the invoice you generate with the method I described.
1925  Local / Polski / Re: Częste pytania dotyczące sieci Lightning Network on: March 04, 2019, 08:02:39 AM

1926  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Lightning Network Discussion Thread on: March 04, 2019, 07:06:52 AM
How does your btc balance affect routing? I can’t understand. Do you need some btc to open channels?

You can't open a channel without putting any coins inside of it. It would not make any sense otherwise. The more BTC you lock up in a channel, the more different payments you can route. Some people are complaining that they payments don't go through because many channels are too small (they don't have enough BTC) to route their payments. Your balance is not the only factor. Nobody is going to route a payment through you if you are not well-conneted and if your fee policy is not configured properly.
1927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how with 5G be with bitcoin? on: March 03, 2019, 11:52:04 PM
I think we don't need 5g because 4g is enough as it gives you faster browsing and faster downloading.

Low-latency is said to be the most important feature of 5G from which AI will benefit. Huge mining farms already have exceptional quality Internet connection so that their blocks could be propagated faster in order to avoid chain split due to the same block being mined in similar amount of time. People who mine with GPUs will also benefit from it. Their shares will be sent to the mining pool much faster which seems to be a problem in less urbanized areas.
1928  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Lightning network : what about receiving payments ? on: March 03, 2019, 10:30:19 PM
Thank you for your response. I thought if 1ML doesn't fund the channel in the first place, the channel would stay a one-way one.

The Lightning Network consists only of bi-directional payment channels. The problem with receiving payments is that you can't receive if there is not enough space in your channel. Also, currently, only one party can fund a channel. Dual-funded channels are not available, yet.
1929  Local / Polski / Re: Signature campaign on: March 03, 2019, 10:14:34 PM
1930  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Lightning network : what about receiving payments ? on: March 03, 2019, 09:47:10 PM
I have opened a channel with the well-connected node "1ML". Thanks to this well connected node I am able to play lightning-roulette since I can pay the underlying node. I won't be able to withdraw what I gained (If I ever gain ^^) because 1ML won't bother locking some bitcoins to fund a channel to me.

There is no need for 1ML to open back a channel to you. Once you send your payment, the funds are moved on the 1ML's side. Then, 1ML moves coins in their other channel to the side of the next node which routes the payment (or just lightning-roulette in this case). If you request a withdrawal then the funds can take the same route assuming that 1ML didn't close their channel with lightning-roulette and has enough liquidity.

If you still don't get it, you can download Eclair Mobile Testnet for Android. Recently, they added support for receiving payments so you can test it out and see how it works.
1931  Local / Polski / Re: Jaki wybrać bank? on: March 03, 2019, 06:41:38 PM
1932  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: LN withdraw with Blue wallet? on: March 03, 2019, 10:16:08 AM
The problem seems to be related with your channel's liquidity. How much of your channel's funds are on your side? Keep in mind that you won't be able to receive more than the channel's value minus 2% of its total value. Spending a few satoshis should solve your problem.
1933  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Lightning Network Discussion Thread on: February 27, 2019, 09:47:45 PM
Should one have funds in his node to relay transactions?

Having funds in the node's on-chain wallet is not enough. You have to open channels to other nodes and have someone open a channel to you.

Does the total number of your node’s channels depend on your funds?

No. It's up to you with who you will open a channel. Some nodes reject channels under a certain value specified in the config.
1934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Cryptocurrency cold storage wallets retrieveable after computer hard drive corru on: February 27, 2019, 09:33:20 PM
You won't be able to recover those coins only with the transaction id. You need to able to access private keys which are stored on that hard drive. Professional data recovery is extremely expensive and they still might not recover what you need. Modern wallets generate a seed (12 or 24 words) which can be used to recover the wallet on any other device.
1935  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [ESHOP launched] Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: February 27, 2019, 05:40:39 PM
Trezor has just released a new software update (1.8.0) for Trezor One. This update brings security enhancements and support for new coins. More detailed info will be posted next week. They didn't specify which coins were added. Also, it is now possible to buy crypto directly from the Trezor Wallet. It probably relies on a third party service just like coin exchange. No data about your wallet is exposed to those services.

Would you please share your monthly income from LN here if you are running the node?

Here's an interesting article from July on Alex Bosworth's earnings. Recently, he posted on Twitter that he routes about $10.000 worth of BTC per month and gets paid 0.25% for routing (source). I remember that someone was posting his routing earnings in this thread at the beginning. Check the first few pages.

Table from the article mentioned above. July 2018

1: on the Specific Lightning Hubs that are a part of the transactions

Note that nodes which route a payment don't know by who and to whom the transaction was sent. They only know the previous and the next node which will handle the payment. LND allows to view details of routed payments by typing in ./lncli fwdinghistory
1938  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Questions RE: setting up Lightning Node on Raspberry Pi with Stadicus' guide on: February 24, 2019, 07:15:32 PM
Hey i managed to save the whole .lnd folder in my desktop pc but can't I just use all the info stored in the ExtHdisk when restarting the system on the SD card from scratch?  I mean as far as im concerned the Harddisk didnt suffer any issues, the bitcoin blockchain and the .lnd files were all there impecable.

@Papucho contacted me on Telegram so this post is for people who are following this thread. His Bitcoin and LND nodes data were stored on an external hard drive so I recommended him reinstalling the operating system on the SD card. He will be able to recover his channels since all data is stored in the .lnd folder on that hard drive.
1939  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet being attacked on: February 24, 2019, 07:06:15 PM
You are right! And you need to trust Thomas V! He is only a human and can change his mind... Smiley

If you are this much paranoid then you can compile Electrum on your own since it's open-source. I'm quite sure that other developers of Electrum sign the executable file with their own private key, but I can't find any example right now. Oh wait, Microsoft has acquired GitHub so by that line of thought, you have to trust them as well.
1940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Questions RE: setting up Lightning Node on Raspberry Pi with Stadicus' guide on: February 24, 2019, 10:25:43 AM
Are you familiar with the raspiblitz environment? Is it possible to start from scratch then with my .lnd files recover the info of my channels using the comfigutation of the raspiblitz guide? Is it possible? If so, could you please walk me theu the steps?

I have never set up RaspiBlitz but it shouldn't be a problem. I managed to help @Zand_ even though I still don't own a Raspberry Pi. RaspiBlitz uses LND v.0.5.2 so there won't be any problems with using your .lnd backup. Make sure that all files inside .lnd have been copied correctly. RaspiBlitz has a good tutorial on their GitHub. I can help you in case you face any problems during the installation process. If you won't have any problems then we will proceed with using your backup.
