1921  Economy / Economics / Re: Can civilization revert to a barter system on: January 11, 2022, 10:01:10 PM
I don't really see how a barter system could be working in today's world. The world became so international in the last 50 years. Almost any large company produces in multiple countries and relys on transportation of goods across long distances. The barter systems humans had in the past waa very local restricted. You know the seller or buyer and exchange directly with him. But now electronics buyers from North America or Europe have no real interaction with the sellers from China. It can't really be a direct barter transaction, so we need something in between, which is money right now. There will always be the need of some kind of medium in between.
It can't be, nobody can go back to barter system, there could be some industrial barter systems available for some industries that goes around in a cycle but that is about it, cannot be global.

The whole point of OP even writing this was to test the waters and if we have so many people saying no just here, imagine how many people would say no to anywhere else. This is why I honestly believe that we should not be really shocked that barter systems could be anything but a failed system if it is even tried.
1922  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why I prefer Bitcoin over any other assets and dips don't panic me.... on: January 11, 2022, 09:21:51 AM
if you bought at that price it means that from the beginning you believed in technology and in all the good that BTC offers with its deflationary economy, I really congratulate you and you represent a great example for many and before the world, I hope the word continues to spread, in my case I have never had the privilege of having 1BTC, but if I have had fractions of BTC, and now with everything that is happening in the world, I see that BTC is much safer That having money stored in the bank, in gold, or in any safe asset, for me BTC is the best option for a Safe Haven, because BTC will never disappoint.
It doesn’t really matter when you started investing and how much of Bitcoin you own.
Whether you own one Bitcoin or a fraction,, it is still worth it.

Moreover it’s not really necessary that you are going to hold your Bitcoin forever, everyone has what works for them and the strategy they try to follow.

As for me I’m not the type that always has plans to keep on hold without even selling, because that doesn’t suit me at all.
1923  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: January 10, 2022, 09:18:34 PM
at some point we can't dictate holders of how long will they be going to hold their coin, I know everyone has their own plan on their assets and if I am going to ask I think there's nothing wrong with holding your token in a long term, I mean I will take bitcoin as an example, and this token is in your portfolio already for a long term because you in yourself have already established this what we called trust to the token and you certainly believe that in the future this token will be more valuable than it was today then it's a person's choice already. I also believe that the holders do understand the risks, the chances pass whenever the price let's say pump but he didn't sell it, as long as he didn't need to sell it then I think it is just fine.
I personally like to hold as long as possible, hold 10+ years if I could, why would that be a problem? I understand that coins like SOL and Matic look like they are not things you should hold for 10+ years, but things like BTC, ETH, BNB, LTC are all looking like you could hold them for 10+ years and they will be fine.

This is why I am quite happy with what I have, it is basically just a method of making money for me in the long run and so far it has been working very well too. If you are not entirely sure about it, then you could end up with a better understanding by just watching the past, and if you think past will not be like future than imagine you bought it and wait for another full year and you will see it.
1924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 10, 2022, 08:10:01 PM
Losing 9 games from 21 matches played by Roma can be said to be not good enough. Its normal, if many people blame Roma's performance is not so good under Mourinho. The reason is, Roma expects more from Mou to bring back Roma as top 3 Serie-A clubs. we know, after Il Capitano Totti retired, Roma look like losing his life. Indeed, it is not easy for Mourinho to develop players like when he was at Madrid. However, as a coach who has often won trophies, he should have been able to make changes for Roma, even though they didn't win, at least finish in 4th position.
The same thing I think that Mourinho did not take Roma to a good enough even to finish 4th only very difficult points far enough while those above him continued to add points much better than Roma, but indeed the quality of Roma's players was not so optimal so Mourinho can be said not yet capable enough to develop his players.
I doubt Mourinho can bring Roma to finish in the top 4 of the Italian league this is quite difficult for him and against big teams he is not able to.
I mean it is always assumed that Mourinho will get more out of a team, because of his defensive style known, he always has this expectations where he would have very little loss and a very good points per game averages. However we have seen him not be great for a long time, and that is what we are seeing in Roma as well.

If you ask me, Mourinho is done, he is not going to be managing any big teams ever again and he is not going to get too much success at the top level ever again. That is of course what I believe, maybe he will prove me wrong and he will win UCL with another team one day but he is not going to be doing that any time soon.
1925  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Company on: January 10, 2022, 09:52:31 AM
I received an email from trading brokers that I can lunge my funds with them and they execute trades on my behalf but I am afraid of the legitimacy of such services because most of them always turn out to be scammers.
I guess this can be categorized like mutual funds. It means if those brokers are registered and recognized by regulating authorities of your country then I guess you can go investing with them or letting them to access your funds for trading purposes and you need to share profit and losses accordingly. Otherwise, trusting the unknown brokers might lead to lose all your funds at any point of time.

It's better to avoid these scammers at first place. If you want to earn money from trading then you should start learning by yourself.
Yeah, always managing our own funds by ourselves must be a good option rather than trusting third parties for our hard earned money. But, when there are options for benefiting from other traders which is secured like bank deposits then why not we go availing them?
1926  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You don't need to hodl a particular coin all your life on: January 10, 2022, 08:34:22 AM
In holding we must be able to determine when is the right time to sell or buy, therefore we are required to see and understand the market so that we know how the market conditions are.
A right time to sell a right asset must be our life's important money requiring moment. It means you may sell bitcoin for buying a house for you but you should not sell bitcoin just for the reason of it has reached $50k or $60k price levels. Unfortunately only very few people do understand this fact. Moreover, this is applicable only for the high potential- ever increasing assets like bitcoin, gold or amazon stock.

we have to sell at some points of time when the prices are up.
I guess that must be a misconception. There would be no compulsion that you need to liquidate all your investments within your life. You can inherit to your decedents.
1927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 09, 2022, 09:29:06 PM
Barcelona needed that win and now they are one game ahead and still lacking behind, 3 points would have been awesome for them. In any case the league is only half over, if they do a lot better than what they did at the first half of the season which looks like they are going to do, even if they are not amazing then they will end up probably at top 3.

I do not see betis and sociedad staying at this level for too long, the only problem is will Sevilla or ATM budge? If not then Barcelona will be fourth but I am not guessing that they will be doing too badly there neither. Still a champions league entry position and by this off-season they could get players who are more suited for Barcelona system.
1928  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If we follow the 2013/2015 patern, the price will reach a new ATH only in 2027 on: January 09, 2022, 04:08:09 PM
In Dec 2013 : ATH 1200$

then it declined and stayed roughfly between 200$ and 300$ for 22 months

If it was to follow the same patern again :

Now-Oct 2023 : 11 000 - 17 000$

And we would need to wait until 2027 to have a new ATH
But for 2027, we are still having more than 60 months and you failed to include the relation between 22 months in previous and in your speculation of 60 months.

Overall, this is just a FUD. Please do not try to discourage the people who believes into halving and 10x growth.

In 2013's December bitcoin reached then ATH of $1200 and in 2017's December again reached a ATH of $19500 but you failed to consider these. Why?

This must be an incomplete speculation.
1929  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If you have a chance to become a VIP what casinos will those be on: January 09, 2022, 03:21:47 PM
Honestly, I'm not a VIP of any gambling sites I'm playing but every casino has perks and premium giveaways for their VIP, if I'm going to target one or two casinos for me to become a VIP what casinos will they be, named at least two casinos and your reasons.
I am not sure that all the crypto casinos are having such promotions permanently. I have seen primedice and stakes are termed their ranking system as VIP and some other gambling houses are having multiple names in their progressive ranking system. Honestly I am not interested to be a VIP customer on any of crypto gambling houses as I am always afraid of getting addicted to gambling at any point of time.

Instead of playing on multiple crypto gambling houses without minding about anything should be a good practice for me to stay secured in gambling world. I just gamble for fun and I do not mind about anything else.
1930  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't bet more than you can afford to lose. on: January 09, 2022, 01:08:56 PM
I have a question here, if you are earning like $2000 a month, how much are you willing to gamble that you think you can afford to lose?
Basically you need to divide your entire gambling into two categories: 1. Gambling for fun 2. Gambling for profits.

For fun gambling, I guess you must spend zero from your earning as these days you will be somehow able to get free credits to gamble. Hence, it will not be a wise idea to spend for fun seeking gambling.

For making profits from sportsbetting or any other profitable gambling, I guess you may spend up to 2% of your earning. Because, you may get some returns from your this type of gambling and based on your performance you may increase or decrease your amount of money to gamble. If you are not able to make any profits then you must completely switch over to fun seeking gambling.
1931  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 09, 2022, 09:41:00 AM
Look like England will survive this test match and this will end in a draw. Around 7 overs left in the day and they till have two wickets in hand. I am not sure if they will play all the remaining overs in the day or the dim light will call the day off early and England will be thankful for that.  Smiley
You must be a genius to predict the draw outcome of this match. After Smith picked the wicket of Jack Leach, I thought pacers will easily scalp James Anderson for leg before but surprisingly he survived all last six balls to break the dreams of Aussies about winning the Ashes 5-0.

The team batting later in this field of Christchurch gets more advantage. Bangladesh's decision to field first was right.
Christchurch is another flat pitch in New Zealand? I thought Bangladesh miss the greater opportunity to take advantage of this match by batting first. Let's see when will Bangladesh bat on this match; I guess only on day-3 and New Zealand might set 600 to 700 runs to chase down for Bangladesh with both the innings.
1932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Enter the $30k Area? on: January 09, 2022, 09:05:10 AM
Bitcoin is close to the current $40k support area. seeing that the pressure has continued since the beginning of this year, it is likely that bitcoin prices will continue to be depressed for the next few weeks and enter the $30K area.
$30k must be too far for bitcoin market to experience by considering the hype and speculations happening on this crypto space. Probably we may see $39k levels thanks to whales which also will not sustain for longer sessions. Moreover, I do see the market in a way it would hardly get potential to break $40k levels; it means bounce back from current levels is more likely to happen.

Maybe bitcoin will enter the $30K support area because if Bitcoin continues to be depressed beyond that level, Bitcoin is likely to experience a fairly long winter.
I do see the current market scenario as a winter for bitcoin and this way we could expect the warming summer earlier than usual bounce back time.
1933  Economy / Speculation / Re: [POLL] Will Bitcoin dip below $40K? on: January 09, 2022, 07:16:19 AM
There seems to be good buying demand below $41K, but the market keeps wanting to drift lower.  I'm wondering what the market sentiment is on these boards as we appear to be fighting the upwards trend line and heading into a bear market.
Yeah, $40k to $41k must be a very good psychological support level which will hold strongly among whales manipulations. I have seen such similar market situations in last six years and all those times, external news triggers decide the direction rather than market technical.

Will Bitcoin dip below $40K? (for at least 24 hours)
This is the power of psychological things over manipulators. I believe the bottom of 2022 would be around $39k which may happen only for few hours to grab.

1934  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to trade btc without kyc on: January 08, 2022, 09:59:36 PM
what is best platformes that not need kyc for traiding >>> margin traiding
If you have plans to do margin trading, then there are exchanges that would allow you to trade on their platform without having to do KYC. Although your activities on some of these exchanges might be limited, such as your amount that you can deposit and withdraw. And another thing is that it depends on the country that you are staying. For margin trading, I am going to recommend that you choose Bybit exchange.

This exchange is really a good exchange and features advanced tools, and it allows its users to trade without having to do any form of KYC.

But, it doesn’t allow U.S. citizens on its platform. So if you are in the US, this is not an option. Maybe you can look at Nominex exchange, it is another good exchange, but your withdrawal and deposit would be limited to three BTC in a day. Finally I’m also going to recommend binance.com, which is already a popular exchange, and they allow you to trade without KYC to an extent. Try to do your own research still and see what you can come up with.
1935  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Profitable coin for 2022 on: January 08, 2022, 09:51:06 PM
Main altcoins like BNB and SOL will always gain higher value in the long run compared to new altcoins which their future is still uncertain. But i think it will always be bitcoin who will dominate the market and will be the topmost profitable coin in the market, no doubt for that.

However, i think there will be new set of projects that will come out successful this year. As long as they have real purpose and the community can benefit from them, then they will surely be trending this year. But i guess in the end, making DYOR will always be the key to make profits.
This is exactly what I imagine it will be like. I am still expecting ETH to be 5k+ by the end of the year, that one is near certain in my mind and if we have something huge in the ETH 2.0 development news then we could get to see something like 10k+, of course that looks very small chance right now so I will stick with 5k+.

Aside from that BTC seems like it has the biggest chance, it is after all the biggest coin and most of the time the uprising starts with that one. If we could get that to happen in a quick manner then we are talking about alts having a big alt season as well, which could see them go above what bitcoin has reached, not in marketcap but % of increase. Obviously, we do not know if any of this will happen, we are just guessing this to happen but in the end we do not really know how it will happen or if it will happen at all.
1936  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not too late to meet up on: January 08, 2022, 09:20:51 PM
The beginning of the year can be a good reminder and good start for those who think they missed the opportunity of investing in the previous years. I know starting thing at the beginning of the year is easier for most people.  Don't be left out as the train moves in the new year.
The funny thing is that these people are saying this because they feel that they would have become millionaires if they were able to invest in cryptocurrencies earlier. But it doesn’t work that way, there are still people who ended up losing their money in the market, while there are few who luckily became millionaires.

Moreover you hardly see much stories of people that became millionaires through their investment on cryptocurrency.
1937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: January 08, 2022, 08:30:34 PM
Coutinho is a pretty good player and had a brilliant performance with Liverpool before moving to Barcelona, I think one fatal mistake that Coutinho made when he accepted a proposal from Barcelona and made his career even more dim, it was proven after Countiho left Liverpool successfully won the champions league title which Countinho dreamed of moving to to Barcelona, but now he's back in the Premier League with Aston Villa and hopefully can put in a good performance there.
I would say that Coutinho is not a brilliant player but a good role player at the very best case. I do not see this transfer as useless for Villa, it is definitely an improvement to get a player like him and aside from maybe maximum of 10 clubs in the world, Coutinho could play in any other team at the starting eleven.

However, Barcelona is looking to be a great team again, they were once the dominating figure, winning 6 cups in a single season so it should be easily understandable that we are talking about a team that wants way more than coutinho. So for Villa this was a great transfer, and for Barcelona it was a great transfer and for Coutinho it was definitely good because he wasn't getting any decent time there. Win-win-win situation for everyone around and definitely a way for Barcelona to pay off the debts by paying less salary as well.
1938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: January 07, 2022, 09:32:29 PM
If Zidane accepts PSG's offer then it will be an unprecedented event for PSG fans. There is no shortage of star players in the PSG squad. They have a lot of talented players. And they are willing to spend a lot of money. Their goal is the same, to win the title.
Though coach Mauricio Pochettino is a good coach but he has not been able to stabilize the team well yet. Despite the incredible attack, PSG are struggling to score, with midfielders struggling to perform well. If Zidane takes charge of PSG then hopefully all the problems of PSG will be solved.
I feel like it all depends on Zidane and Mbappe situation. Mbappe will want to leave, he always said he wanted to leave and Zidane probably wants him to stay so told the team that if Mbappe stays he will come to the team. By june 2022 we are definitely going to solve this issue, they are probably not talking about contracts every single day, but I say pay Mbappe whatever he wants, if it is 50 million pay him, if it is 70 million pay him, no matter what cost just keep him. He is going to be at this level for only a short period of time, and getting like 3 years of his prime would be worth more than just money.

Hiring Zidane on top of that and having Messi and Neymar as most famous but some other amazing players, with some more money to get even other stars will eventually result with something amazing. There are some other stuff to take care of but it is definitely something amazing for sure.
1939  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC: is it really bearish? on: January 07, 2022, 08:48:11 PM
Ok, as of late I've been drawing some lines (as practice, mostly), and now I'm more confused than ever. Everybody keeps talking about BTC being bearish, but the lines I drew show it to be on an upwards trend. I'm attaching a screenshot of what I see. The graph is from Binance.
BTC/USDT in one week? Well, in the market you don’t really need to do according to what people are saying. Yes you can get advice from people, but it’s good to do your own research and make your decision. If you keep following what people has to say all the time without verifying if it’s accurate or not, you’re likely going to end up with some problem due to wrong information.

But right now, if you ask me I would say that the Bitcoin market is bearish, and the bearish trend is not yet over, and I don’t even think this is something that would be over anytime soon. With that said, I would as well add that now is the right time to start planning for your investment, you don’t have to wait till the market becomes bullish before you start investing. If your plan is to Hodl, you should invest when the market low and hold through out.
1940  Other / Archival / Re: Are Banks afraid of Crypto adoption? on: January 07, 2022, 08:08:08 PM
Bank was control by the government. So the term bank are the government is the real fact in the crypto market. Government will not fear about the crypto or crypto market. Cryptosystem and crypto investors only fear about the government and government legalising and their loss on crypto currency.
That’s right, the government are the ones who are in control of everything that has to do with finance. That is why we have the central bank which is always in control of the whole banks that are operating in a country and makes their reports to the government. Every bank there is, is always licensed by the central bank, and they all report back to the central bank, while the central bank now acts as the eyes of the government.

In a way, I will say that the government are also afraid of crypto, from what I see. When they see the level of freedom that cryptocurrency can give to the people, and how people can be able to override a lot of blockages that they, the government, might have placed by using Bitcoin , they would be afraid of allowing people to make use of it.
