Which are the most promising currencies in the first quarter of 2019?
It should be the cryptocurrencies which has a fully working platform and you can use it to get the service.
I can't determine which is the best one but remember that. it should be the main consideration for you to determine about how good that crypto is. So far this becomes a very important thing.
1942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Whats your thoughts on Security Token vs Utility Token? on: January 10, 2019, 11:50:35 AM
Why many ICO desperately trying to avoid their token being classified as Security ?
..
The other day i saw many exchange and listing site trying to avoid security token. whats the deal ?
IMHO, they are avoiding the regulations that they should pass and subject with.

Are Utility token general had more acceptance then security token despite their return in having an actually product and services ?
Yes, from the word itself 'utility' it has use but this really wasn't met by most of the tokens that are generated through ICOs. Some appears out of nowhere and tells that they have a working product and services.

But in reality, they really don't have.

Honestly speaking, for now even with whitelist and KYC. we can't fully what those ico are up to, i have seen many ICO's concept and idea that are too ambitious, not saying that is a bad thing but the idea itself sounds like a sci-fi movie. afew example like reinvent aviation, genetic experiment and such. Each ICO are getting stranger then the other.

nowadays ICO market are so saturated, investor are getting more and more confuse on the newer ICO business model. Because ICO is so accessible to anyone (given that they have the capital to do so), any person can come out with a crazy idea then sell those token for short term profile.

Its getting out of control.

When it comes to original ideas, the point is that the creators think that extremely strange ideas will attract investors with an extremely large wallet.
Through the bear market and a huge number of scammers, a lot of money has disappeared from the ICO market.
Now the ICO must have a really good idea, a very strong dev team and the best if they have working product.
I remember george hotz created a bitcoin cash wallet just in a few minutes. basically how good the product will depend on your knowledge about that, if you are a pro in the development you should not need a huge money to create a useful one.
1943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Keep Hold or Sell on: January 10, 2019, 11:45:55 AM
Hi Everyone. .
I need your suggestion for Ethereum  Hardfork.
For now I'm confused about having to keep holding or selling?
How do you respond to the Ethereum hardfork that will be done soon?
Do you keep hold or sell?
Please give me a suggestion.

Here's my analyzation regarding the hardfork. There will be no new coin that generated by this hardfork and that means if ETNowa and ETCVision are scam forks and you should avoid both of these airdrops. Hold or sell depends on your self but the next update will reduce the inflation.
1944  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Airdrop and Bounty Campaign on: January 10, 2019, 11:06:15 AM
Can someone clear me out for these 2 things?

What is the difference between Airdrop and Bounty Campaign?

Thanks
airdrop - you can earn this by doing a little job just like participating in the referral or subscride the platform and it just like a giveaway
bounty is focusing on the mass advertisement to create a big noise and then the investors can come and everyone who interesting in the any fundraiser can participate on it. It's much harder than airdrop.
1945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happens to the other cryptocurrencies if the Bitcoin goes to $ 2,000? on: January 04, 2019, 03:31:12 PM
In that case there will be a big panic selling and many projects would not survive such a crash as they would suffer even more than BTC. Such scenario  won`t be the end for crypto but the market would need more time to recover from that eventual bloodbath.
Bitcoin has dropped to the 3k rate and that has been created a lot of problems even the major platform just like ETC is out of funds to continue its development. Well, that gives a huge impact to the whole of crypto and it's not only bitcoin.
1946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: which are the hottest coins to invest in 2019? on: January 04, 2019, 03:25:35 PM
I would preferred to invest in ethereum.. ethereum is for long term investment, we all know that it was more than a thousand dollar so why not invest on it

Yeah I agree, I still count on Ethereum and Bitcoin for long-term investment, I never pull out my money from them.
And then you can buy some other top 20 marketcap coin like stellar, waves, eos etc, to get some quick profit. And to get extra money, you can bet your money to some ICO or new coins, however do some real research before investing in ICO or new coins.
Just try to grab ethereum as the main choice, another major crypto seem can become another good choice but they are all look over valued compared with what has already offered by them all. For me that looks very bad thing buy them all right now.
1947  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MoneyToken (IMT) Speculation on: January 04, 2019, 03:24:02 PM
During the ICO collection, they promised that their tokens would be listed on the binance immediately after the end of the ICO and promised good profit to their investors. Now I see that after the end of ICO 6 months have passed and their token is still not on binance and the price has fallen more than 10 times. Maybe they made false promises to attract more money.
They can't do a proper business an that's why the price of IMT has plunged a lot. Remember when another platforms are actively developing the app to generate the revenue and they are doing a lot of things that look fishy for me.
1948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETHERUM HARD FORK ARE A UPDATE on: January 04, 2019, 11:34:58 AM
Ethereum fork and Ethereum 2.0 is a good sign for the market. Beacuse most of the tokens base with erc20 platform so rising of Ethereum should affect them too.
There was no a correlation between ethereum fork and ethereum 2.0
Ethereum fork is not a part of ethereum 2.0 and you should know the differences between both of things. The rising of ethereum caused by ethereum 2.0 update
1949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if the ICO projects pay the bounty hunters in bitcoin only? on: January 04, 2019, 11:13:10 AM
In order for this to happen, the project needs regulation and external financing, so that their financial part is insured, for this it is necessary that their token has a price and does not collapse.
Conside about they are about creating a new coin and that makes sense to change the payment into bitcoin or ether, but there was a lot of platforms have been doing it. Metahash is the one who has paid bounty hunters in ethereum form.
1950  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs are dead! Yeah I mean DEAD!!!! on: January 04, 2019, 11:09:10 AM
Here's what I really don't like about ICOs and why they're dead to me:

1. "After ICO, the token's rate would be $X.XX per coin/token"

Excuse me? Really? Yeah we know the hype, right? Been there already. Most ICOs don't live up to their promise that their rate in exchanges would be that high amount. For example, there's an ICO whose token is worth $0.01 and claims that when it hits exchanges, they will be worth at least $0.20. But hell no!!! The reality is that when it hits exchanges, the rates are way below the ICO price!

So ICOs, don't make promises you can't keep, especially claiming that the amount will be huge when it hits exchanges coz' it mostly likely not gonna happen. Sad reality. Nothing but hype!

2. "We're pausing the campaign until further notice"

What kind of f***ing excuse is that? I know most of their fucking delay strategies just to let their community think that they should trust them no matter what. They keep motivating them on Telegram, Facebook, Twitter or so, but in the end, they would silently abandon their project without announcing to the public. Worst of all, they're taking the investors' money away and hide in their private luxurious islands, yachts or so. Bear market? Naaahhh not a valid excuse you morons! You're just using that term to your advantage just to make the community believe in you until you silently run away with our hard-earned funds!

3. "We're focusing on the project's development before we hit exchanges."

Sorry to say that the truth is that they're doing that because of not having enough money to list in exchanges. Whaaaaaat? I can say that it's one of the worst, worst, worst, worst, worst excuses that ICOs are addressing their respective communities. F*** there are some exchanges that are free to get listed such as IDEX, MetaMorph Pro or so, and you can't even have time for the token to get listed? I don't have a f***ing problem when it comes to project development. However, just don't say that you can't get listed in an exchange which is fucking easy on the free ones.

4. "Tokens will be locked for a certain period of time to avoid mass dumping."

For me, this is not fucking true at all. Even if you do that, the market would still be dumping. I've experienced that with a couple of tokens (Seal and Gamestars). As I remembered, Seal locked our tokens for 6 months to avoid dumping. However, after 6 months, when they unlocked it, the price already dumped too hard. The same thing with Gamestars, in which they're giving tokens to bounty hunters batch by batch for like every 3-4 days. The sad reality is that this strategy is old and won't work anymore.

I don't know if you guys felt the same way like I do towards s***ty ICOs! Therefore, I can say that ICOs are a thing in the past. I would root for STOs this time, because they're regulated.

i know, all of these sucks, but i think the worst part is when, after the end of the ico, even if softcap was reached, the team disappear and no one can know anything else about how the project is going..
And at the end of story the transparency should become the main concern, but they are thinking if they listing their coin this time and then their token will be easily get dumped.
They are taking the market trend seriously.
1951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: next trend in blockchain/crypto?? on: January 03, 2019, 10:52:18 PM
I am intrigued with MOAC because they have lots of support and adoption in china. i think they even came out with a book that details their use cases

Reminds me of the time when NEO had their ICO. Chinese projects have lots of potential imo

And i should remind you when PBOC forced NEO to return all of the money that has raised during ico to the investors again, they have no money to create a proper development progress. that's so sad and then NEO getting plunged to the bottom.
1952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the true crypto alternative to government money on: January 03, 2019, 10:50:42 PM
great read by coindesk: https://www.coindesk.com/the-true-crypto-alternative-to-government-money

thoughts on the future of fiat coins, stablecoins, and just overall adoption of these things in general? I see lots of potential in ampleforth in how they solve volatility. I think right now there's too much centralization in fiat-backed stablecoins.
And there was only a little percentage of them have surpassed audit. But i seen a little bit advertisement from that article and i can't consider it as a neutral article until the third party will try to audit his way to fix the volatility and it looks impossible.
1953  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DESICO IS A SCAM on: January 03, 2019, 10:48:15 PM
DESICO IS A SCAM...never do not invest.Never take your tokens.Do not be a member of the platform in any way. These people are scams.Never forgive him.
The worst part is that they extended the bounty for 4 weeks when they have decided to issue security tokens it wasn't as if they don't know what they are doing
They want us to give them free work.

They dishonoredly took advantage of the bounty hunters in advance knowing that they would not be paid anything. I myself took part in this bounty, fortunately only in one round.
Damn. I considered this project one of the most prominent in these 2 quarters. What a pity that I spent 6 months on the promotion of this project being one of the first promoters to the masses..
And then you have been scammed by a fraudulent platform called desico. even there are bunch of participants have already sent their ID to the developers. Let's see what will be happening with it in the future.
1954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH return to 1000 USD after hardfork? on: January 03, 2019, 03:56:21 PM
I think it's very difficult. it takes great strength to make this a reality. whales have to spend a lot of money pumping prices. I don't think they will take the risk of doing this.
It will but not for this time. remember ethereum still need to do a lot of update to migrate its POW to the hybrid POW combined with POS system that gives a lot of chance even small holders to take the advante from the ethereum network. in will possible for a few years later.
1955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will it be a battle for Ethereum and Ripple all throughout 2019 for second spot on: January 03, 2019, 03:55:08 PM
Ethereum just regained its second spot after Ripple wrestled the second spot but the gap is to close, do you think we will have a battle royale for the two coins for the whole 2019 and who will remain the victor, or a new one will emerge to surpass this two coins?
I do, but consider about ethereum will have reduced on its block reward and that will give a huge impact to the price of each ethereum. so far if you are seeing when so many people are betting on it. You must understand about ethereum is not yet reached its hardcap supply.
1956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is going on in the market? on: December 28, 2018, 03:55:23 PM
One of the creators of Ethereum is sure that cryptocurrencies are waiting for a" bright future" and I agree with him. This year, media spread ominous forecasts and rumors about the dying of cryptocurrencies, so our community was misled and the market reached the bottom. But the process of blockchain technology spread cannot be stopped, even the Bank of America patents a blockchain system for cash transactions.
You understand that the use of blockchain technology is not equivalent to the fact that the cryptocurrency rate will begin to grow? Although in General I agree that the future is not yet defined and high prices can be

Exactly. Blockchain being used mainstream doesn't autimatically mean that it'll affect the status of the market. A lot of people probably don't even know the connection between the two.
Think about that was about blockchain and crypto can't be considered as the same thing as blockchain. The blockchain is the network that used by crypto to run its operation and basically that just like a new form of the system. Both must be separated.
1957  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to 800$ in JAN 2019? (after fork speculations) on: December 28, 2018, 03:52:14 PM
if fork ethereum has been created, I'm not too sure the price will increase as well. although many believe that a coin will increase if it creates a hardfork but it won't pump as well.
It will increase but it will not so much as the title of this thread. the block reward will be getting more than 30% to reduce and that makes sense to see at least more than 30% growth in the price of ethereum caused by the reward.
1958  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH back to second place on coinmarketcap and overtake XRP again? on: December 28, 2018, 03:50:31 PM
Let's wait, I think the good news will soon come from ethereum, maybe soon ethereum will be able to reclaim its position. Even so, I think ripple is also a strong rival to be defeated because ripple has a lot of trust.
A lot of updates will come from next month and we will see a lot of updates next month. ethereum will be very easy to take its second place from ripple consider ripple has no any utility usage and it's a security and speculation coin.
1959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how much you can profit from altcoins on: December 28, 2018, 03:47:52 PM
the profit I get from the highest altcoin is 200%. at that time I bought at ICO and sold it at ATH. the benefits are very large, but after that I didn't find such a profitable ico project at this time.
Because we are in the bearish market and a lot of people are expecting to dump their coin rather than try to buy more and more coin. You must feel happy because you buy back your altcoin and gets doubled or even tripled from your investment dude.
1960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If an ICO team is anonymous, is it a scam? on: December 28, 2018, 03:46:39 PM
anonymous team indeed risky if to follow. but that does not mean this is an indication of a scam that should be avoided. There is even a good team ICO sort it and proved it could generate. However from at risk too and are afraid to meet a scam then it is better to look for the ICO with the team that it is definitely only for better results.
yes, when an ICO has an invisible team, sometimes it's easier to scam. well, sometimes, the strength of an ICO is the value of the team they have. if they keep the team they have a secret, it is possible that the ICO can become a scam.
Even if they have a reliable team but if they can't even come with something new and that can be considered as another scam too. In fact that even the plagiarism platform can be included on the scam project too because they are creating nothing.
