1941  Other / Meta / Re: Change the logo board and subboard on: June 10, 2023, 12:42:24 PM
Yes it would be an interesting gesture to put the bitcoin logo since this is the oldest bitcoin forum, the triangle sign is meaningless in my opinion so it would be appropriate to change it to the bitcoin logo.

Perhaps it would also be appropriate to change the Altcoin logo to the Ethereum logo to indicate that this is the Altcoin section and thus it becomes easier to distinguish between the Bitcoin and Altcoin sections.

Yes it's possible in fact other forums have done it to distinguish the categories

Image extracted from altcoinstalks.com

We are using the default SMF template and when you install the default theme the triangle is also included it's part of the trademark of the SMF.

I like this default template its the simplest template in the SMF theme collection, I find the widgets annoying and I can concentrate more on topics and discussion with the simplicity and clearness of the current theme, this is the primary purpose of a forum, simplicity and clean

I don't understand the logical link or the moral of this topic either. It is clear what business is and what marriage is, but what insight do you want to share with us about these figures? or are you simply asking a question?

I think that what OP is trying to communicate is that, the same way when big businesses fail there are many people affected, it also affects people around when a marriage fails. A bit of a flimsy analogy, if that was the intention of the author.

I wish that's what he tries to relay to us, the title of the thread is about marriage but the content of the post is all about marriage and business, the title should be

Marriage and Business

We are affected if the business we're in is bad, but there's always a solution you can look for another business it may affect many people but it's only temporary whereas there is a long effect in marriage, and marriage should not be a concern of everybody but family members only when there is a collapse in marriage the family circle should be the one to fix it, it's not everybody's concern.
1943  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Stay Lowkey lang tayo on: June 10, 2023, 10:19:42 AM

1944  Economy / Gambling discussion / How Confident Are You In The Reliability of the KYC system on: June 09, 2023, 10:59:00 PM

Know Your Client (KYC) is a standard in the investment industry that ensures advisors can verify a client's identity and know their client's investment knowledge and financial profile.

Reference: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/k/knowyourclient.asp

is part of what we agreed when we sign up to play in casinos but lately I've been reading a lot of complaints
about casinos on how they accept their players' KYC, is it possible that they can decline a person's credentials even though he swore that he submit all the right documents and even undergo a video call to establish his identity?

Take note, Casinos will ask or demand a KYC if there's a big winning involved, is this one of their ways to scam their players?

(don't want to make reference to any casino because other casinos could implement this).

Both parties the player and the casino can agree to do a mediation through third-party/parties. but do you think it has bad consequences if the third party proves the player is right in establishing his identity, then the casino's KYC is not reliable?

If the third-party proved that the casino is right but the player swore that he submit all the documents and is willing to do the extra mile to establish his identity, can we conclude that Casino's KYC procedure is different and we have the right to know how and what system they are using to decline our submission because we can be the next to suffer from this Casinos' KYC system?
1945  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam targeting Metamask wallet user's on: June 09, 2023, 08:51:53 PM
If you received an email like that where there is no email involved in creating an account or wallet then your email is compromised and part of scammers' database and you have to weed out your emails to see what emails are coming out to unknown sources, so you can report it as spam and all emails like this will not go to your main folders.

When it comes to receiving phishing emails common sense is always the key to knowing the basics of securing your funds, so all emails that asked for private keys should go to spam folders for deletion.

When you received spam like that expect many more to come this is why it's important to only use your email to a trusted source and if you're participating in airdrops use a different specifically for that.

Looking for those who can invest $250k worth of BTC minimum. Preferably larger. Total AUM is over 250BTC (across all investor accounts)

2023 Client Net Return
Jan 2023 - 54%
Feb 2023 - 28%
March 2023 - 27%
April 2023 -  22.5%

Please do not waste my time and I will not waste yours.

You're asking $250k worth of BTC minimum but is this all you can say and you can show us, this is just word configured to make it look appealing but there's nothing on it that will make us believe that what you're saying is all good and true.

Was looking for something, like you can try for $100 to see how good the system is but there's none on your post.

By the way, you can use TALKIMG to upload screenshots of the supposed earnings of your clients, just don't Photoshop or edit it.

Actually, you're wasting this forum space.
1947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how to get over it on: June 09, 2023, 08:52:36 AM
I’ve turned $1,000 into $100,000
I’ve turned $6,000 into $80,000
I’ve turned $11,000 into $550,000
and recently I’ve turned $4,000 into $90,000

With nothing to show for it…I’m a sharp sports bettor, but I always end up going all in. I can never be satisfied until it’s too late. I always need to go all in.

I’ve been reading comments from my last post (turning $4,000 into $90,000 and losing the entire $90,000), and I can’t help but feel like shit.

How do I get over the countless failures? I’ve been chasing the $1,000,000 dream for years.

You're so lucky not every gambler has the opportunity to reach that earning but unfortunately, you have a worse habit and mindset of not getting satisfied, you are trying to reach the $1 million in one go that's a long shot it can be considered a lottery jackpot.

The first thing that you need to do is to let go of that $1 million goal and be satisfied with tripling your earning you are good at gambling but lack the control and the right mindset you know that the house will eventually beat you as you keep on chasing that big jackpot, but you keep denying it and so you end up losing.

You can eventually reach that $1 million all you have to do is to be satisfied with small earnings or it will become a cycle of winning a lot and then losing everything in one go.
1948  Economy / Economics / Re: 3x inflation in my life time (Im 30) does bitcoin fix this? on: June 07, 2023, 11:01:11 PM
A pizza now cost a full days wages when I first started working.  We need to hang the politicians and central bankers.

Min wage was $5.50 when I started it is $16.50 now.
You did not mention where you are located or the country where you are, but your situation is very much the same here in our country, the worker's salary cannot keep up with inflation and an average worker here in our country needs additional work after the office hours to be able to keep up with the growing prices.

Quote
In 15 years we have inflated 3x.
It's bound to happen in third-world countries, even first-world countries experience inflation but they can handle it better than workers in the third world.

Quote
In another 15 years a pizza will cost $100.
It depends on where you are buying a pizza, if you're buying it in a first-class restaurant where a chef is the one creating the ingredients and design, but if it is only in your neighborhood you can get it way cheaper.
Quote
how does bitcoin fix this?
The solution is managing your expenses, adding more skills that pay well, and investing in Bitcoin, it's not on Bitcoin but on how you manage your earning and find a job that pays well commensurate to your skill and investing in Bitcoin of course, first thing first and that is fighting inflation through your ability to earn more.

1949  Local / Pilipinas / 400 Merchants Na Ang Tumatanggap ng Bitcoin Through Pouch on: June 07, 2023, 08:34:09 PM

Quote
Pouch.ph now has over 400 small businesses accepting Bitcoin payments, expanding beyond their initial success in Boracay to key cities like Cebu City, Dumaguete, Iloilo, and Bacolod City.
The payments provider also enables Bitcoin payments in Metro Manila through establishments such as URBN QC, Draper Startup House, and KosneyLand, providing alternative payment options to credit cards and e-wallets.
Consequently, Pouch.ph offers a Batch Pay feature that streamlines payroll processes and allows for immediate transfers of funds to employees, suppliers, and recipients, with plans to expand the service to over-the-counter remittances through partners like LBC, M Lhuillier, and Palawan Pawnshop.

1950  Other / Meta / Re: User recruitment system for the Bounty system. on: June 07, 2023, 01:12:34 PM
Save yourself of the trouble and just hire bounty managers like Royse or Hhampuz for this job, they have years of expertise in managing the bounty, this is to avoid complaints coming from bounty hunters, to check if there are cheaters, and to see if they have done their task properly.

Bounty managing is not something you can learn overnight and for a newbie like you you are prone to errors and this will have a bad impact on the project you are promoting.
1951  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Presyo ng bitcoin umangat on: June 07, 2023, 09:41:37 AM

1952  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: chipmixer.be scam on: June 06, 2023, 11:21:28 PM
Unless it was publicly announced on their ann thread which make it impossible because the owner was already arrested.
source?

There's a federal warrant for Minh Quốc Nguyễn's arrest but I haven't seen any news about him being caught.
This. With those available information, i only assumed he is already in custody of the authorities. Although there's no public news that he was arrested because its not necessary imo.

The authorities will always announce if they caught criminals that have warrants, no updates mean he is still at large, and they have no reason not to publish his arrest, his arrest will put a stop to speculation that he is coming up with another mixer or he is being protected.
Chipmixer's shutdown is a piece of big media news and his arrest will also become bigger news, right now he is good at hiding I think he has an escape plan if ever things got worse.
1953  Other / Off-topic / Re: A post about telegram scams on: June 06, 2023, 09:11:26 PM
I use this bot called deezload on telegram to download music, days ago, there was this promotion as you can see in image below.

There's nothing free and good on Telegram especially if you are using something they own Telegram is the most popular chat application for groups but there are always attached risks using it especially if you're part of the Cryptocurrency niche.

One it's hard to distinguish a newly created account from a more established one because there's no profile history to look at, second there are so many impersonators its easy to clone one account and just an additional or changing a character on one username is already enough to imitate one account, and if you do not know how to configure your privacy you're likely going to receive a lot fo spam.

And always check the groups and the account you're interacting it's a good platform for legit projects but also a good platform for scammers to scam.
1954  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Duelbits, $500,000 scam alert. on: June 06, 2023, 01:19:29 PM

are you think they not scammed me? 😂😂😂😂😂
to be honest, I don't think so, I mean it would be a dumb idea to do after building their reputation and making a name for themselves especially when they can most likely earn that amount in a month.

anyway, I do hope you get your issue resolved soon. also, you can try posting this issue on casino.guru or askgamblers, they can act as a mediator between you and the casino.
I have the same thinking there's no existing scam accusation against Duelbits prior to your issue but I'm sure that they are fully aware of this issue.

Duelbits, $500,000 scam alert.
is not good in the eyes of gamblers and members those loyal Duelbits followers are looking to have the word resolved attached to this topic.

It's too early to post this on askgamblers or casino.guru we can still give them a week more, but no one should stop you from asking for their help anytime, but when Duelbits say that they are going to release an update on the case soon, that's going to be the same response they are going to give to both platforms
1955  Economy / Services / Re: Hiring: Someone to extract posts from my cPanel Backup on: June 06, 2023, 12:05:05 PM
I have a full cPanel backup on my computer. It's from a Wordpress website that I built half-way. I want to extract the posts and move them to a new blog I'm building. If this is what you can do, hit me up on Telegram @Cyberczar.

You did not mention if it's a WordPress-to-WordPress migration, or a WordPress-to-another blogging platform, if it's a WordPress-to-WordPress migration you can follow this tutorial https://wpmudev.com/blog/moving-wordpress-site/

If you are transferring to a new host the best way is to ask support to transfer your entire Cpanel back up to your new Cpanel it's always free and it's a smooth transition.

1956  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Possible scam] FinxCoin ICO Project on: June 05, 2023, 11:28:01 PM

Why would they? Is their a clause added that they need to explain themselves.
They will not put a clause that they need to explain when questioned, if they put it, it's already a big warning sign.

Quote
No one was forced to participate in their bounty campaign and in the ICO!
They cannot force anyone they can only invite and when they launch a marketing campaign they expose their platform to investors part of exposing your project is addressing concerns.

Quote
Risk is a prime factor when you either in invest or work for a new project as a bounty hunter.
There are risks but when these risks are exposed  you will not invest or work on this kind of project

Quote
The problem starts when you do not have any factual evidence of scam and then you use the same forum to speculate a scam on anew project. We are in 2023, scam is common, unless any concrete evidence is provide I think such topics doesn't make any sense.
I think OP has worked and invested in a lot of ICO so he knew that there are warning signs and if the warnings are not yet there it will be there it's just a matter of time to show up, I call this insight.
1957  Economy / Economics / Re: Getting an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company? on: June 05, 2023, 10:59:57 PM
If you had the opportunity to pursue an MBA before starting a company or directly starting a company, which option would you choose?

I prefer the first to the latter having an MBA will give you insight and you will have various concepts on how to make your business prosper, starting a company directly you will be exposed to a lot of trial and error and this is very costly if you have minimal funds and limited resources.

Starting a company is only good if you have a background in running a small business like your family has its own business and you are one of its managers, you can then directly launch your own company and get an MBA when you're planning to expand.

Experience is the best teacher in running a business, but having an MBA is very important and will give insight and knowledge to back up your experience.

1958  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Loan business here how on: June 05, 2023, 09:20:35 PM
Any adivece ?
The best advice will come to those who are already running this business for many years already like Shasan, check out their post if you can communicate with them the better.
Quote
How much i can earn ?
It really depends but it should be within the rage of interest rates of other lenders if you're starting out it's better to lower your rate a bit.

Quote
Should i ask collateral always ?
If the loaner is of higher rank with a good reputation here collateral is optional but for lower rank without existing business here or not in a signature campaign, you have to ask for collaterals.

Quote
How can i improve my service ?
You can find this out yourself as you go along because you will meet different members who will ask for a loan and you have to deal with each of them with different terms and conditions

But the most important thing is protecting your business.

It's fake and a scam, unfortunately, they have millions of users' data, because you need to submit your personal information before you qualify to withdraw your mined token to a wallet that they are going to create and they asked for KYC three years ago and they are still asking.

Yes they are listed on Coingecko and they are on some exchanges but they have warnings to investors

Please note that the mainnet has not yet been launched, and the prices shown on certain exchanges are for IOUs that may not be transferable across exchanges. Please DYOR and proceed with caution.

The exchange listing is unauthorized by the developers of MinePI

... following the reports of such unauthorized listings, Pi Network released a statement advising its community against engagement with any of these exchanges and continues to communicate directly with the Pi community through its official channels. After 5 years its community still believes that this is the next big thing in the Cryptocurrency industry
but how can it be when its centralized and the developers have dubious characters even though they claimed to be Harvard graduates
