1941  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is money ruling the world? on: May 22, 2023, 01:58:12 AM
It's true that money does have enormous power, even money can destroy good relationships, even if it's a virgin relationship, money can change a person's character, money can buy happiness and can destroy that happiness too

Money can do so many things to an individual but I can't say money can buy happiness because you can't have money and have peace of mind (the happiness can't be there 100%) if your mind is troubled then where's the happiness?
With relationship it has to do with the person in question, greed has a big roll to play on that, we still have people that money can't change so if a guy/girl changes in a relationship because of money is because the person wants to.
Money is the root of all evil, it depends on how you get it or use it.
1942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: May 22, 2023, 01:41:44 AM
Bitcoin is digital currency that is being widespread almost all the continent, and some people notice the development of Bitcoin very late, and it enables some people not to invest in Bitcoin in far back 2009 and 2010. Therefore i noticed that teaching children of Bitcoin in early stage and mostly children that is up to ten years and above, inculcating the functions and the importance of Bitcoin in children will make them to develop widely with the knowledge being inculcates with them already. I think that Bitcoin is good to be known from youthful age. I have noticed that assuming so many of us notice the important of Bitcoin in time we would have all be a partial millionaire if I'm not mistaken of being a full millionaire.

Teaching children about Bitcoin is not really a bad idea, since some grown ups don't have that knowledge about Bitcoin, it would be a great idea if "we" impose it on the younger ones. But if you're doing that you know it has to do with money and some children can go to any lent just to get hold of money (by stealing too) have to be careful about that.
No knowledge is a waste, since they're children you make sure you make the teaching of Bitcoin to be as a subject like they have in their academics.
You can as well help the child by doing some research, by checking out some reputable and untrustworthy sources, it will also help them to know information that are true or false.

Before you start you have to know how things works in that line of trading that you're getting into, if possible ask, get better info before you get started otherwise you might just lose your hard earned capital before engaging yourself. Try as much as you can to know what you getting into, some people do lose because the information wasn't plain from the start so is best you gather vital information from a trusted friend.

@EarnOnVictor in my personal opinion this is one of most successful season Arsenal ever had because they single handedly managed to put pressure on City when other teams had already lost their way. Furthermore Arteta has got them back in the champions league and if backed in the transfer window I’m sure that he’ll get them trophies next season hence overall their fan’s shouldn’t be disappointed because at the start of the season no one even thought that they could be in the title race yet they managed to stun all till the very end.

A successful season for Arsenal?  I don't think so, they did what other teams couldn't do which was giving Pep's boys a lot of headache just to secure the EPL title but when it's time to show why they [Arsenal] have been at the top they fell and let City being crowned Champions on the day they [Arsenal] lost to Nottingham Forest, is just a shameful success. I can't really tell how the fans feel right now, knowing that they're not capable of competing for the EPL title.
It would have been a SUCCESSFUL SEASON if they won the league but finishing second is a NO NO for me, what are they going to do in the Champions league? Facing Bayern and losing 5-0 again? This season is a big mess for Arsenal.
1945  Other / Meta / Re: GATEAWAY TIMEOUT (ERROR) on: May 21, 2023, 06:35:45 AM
Those who got it earlier said the forum wasn't responding for 3hrs 8mins and now the whole problem has been resolved (I pray so). When it happened I thought something must have happened to my account or it has been hacked or something, that experience got me scared. I wish for that Gateway Timeout never get to happen again.
No need for you guys to start beating yourselves with words.
1946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 21, 2023, 03:04:47 AM
Manchester City are more experienced than Arsenal, from their coach to their players. With many young players and a coach with little experience like Arteta, what Arsenal achieved in this season is already very impressive.

I agree with you on City being experienced than Arsenal and this has shown that Arsenal are never match for CITY. For you to be the Champion you have to beat the best but Arsenal could not even get a single draw against Manchester City talk less of a win, the team is just full of jokers that don't have that winning mentality, is just one or two players that have that winning mentality talking about Gabriel Jesus and Zinchenko, I just love those two.
For Arsenal to have such opportunity again in the Premier league would be like a dream that'd never happen. Arsenal's down fall has just begun, I just wonder how they'd play in the Champions league next season.
1947  Economy / Economics / Re: Retirement Age for Workers - Does this Make Sense? on: May 21, 2023, 02:45:25 AM

France's Constitutional Council on Friday approved an unpopular plan to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64, in a victory for President Emmanuel Macron after three months of mass protests over the legislation that have damaged his leadership.
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/france-retirement-age-raise-64-approved-constitutional-council/

This so-called measure has several benefits and drawbacks. The elder employees can benefit from their years of experience if they are retained on the job for longer, which is one advantage. The drawback of this is that many workplaces will report low performance because there is an inverse relationship between a person's success at work and their deterioration in cognitive and physical capacities.

Regardless, what I think is that the government shouldn't shove it down the throat of people. Workers who are approaching retirement age should be given a choice after appraisal to keep working or retire.

What sense does this make? Would you agree or disagree?

If you need the government retirement plan in your late age you are fucked anyway. Retiring at 62-64? No fucking way. How about making investments while you were young and getting retired at 50? 40? or even 35? Now that sounds cool. The government can take that retirement plan and stick it to the place where the sun don't shine. Unfortunately for the most people, they need that shit to survive and that's a terrible thing. Now they need to work 2 more years just to what? get retired on a shitty gov plan. You only live once, plan accordingly.

Some people do love it, you can call it shitty government plan or whatever but it still doesn't change the fact that some workers do reduce their age as to continue working, especially a place where the money never stops coming.
I agree with you where you said "you only live once. Plan accordingly", the way you feel is it the same way the people feel about themselves? Thats what you need to know, it just have to happen SHITTY GOVERNMENT PLAN.

I have always been fascinated seeing people making it in crypto space. I'm kind of surrounded by people that are really into crypto but I have this mindset that until you have capital before you venture into crypto and make a success. This is why I haven't ventured into the space, but with good guide I believe I can make it as well.

As a new person that wants to make it in crypto, what safety guidelines and advices can you give to see him/her to success with minimal risks?

For beginners or newbies you have to start small, make use of money that you can afford to lose. You can't just start up with a huge amount like all your savings and expect a bigger profit, well you can be lucky but to be on the safer side start with a small capital. Try to understand the mechanism of buying, selling and exchanging cryptocurrency before investing. Don't just jump into any crypto exchanges, look for a trustworthy crypto exchange.
1949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: May 20, 2023, 11:29:49 PM
When it comes to gambling we just have to be very careful with decision we make because it might cost us alot.
I could remember having a friend who love playing online betting and it all happened that while he was trying to stake a game something happened, his little sister was complaining to him about what he did and he left his phone just to correct what his sister was complaining to him, before he got back to his phone the games he was suppose to play has started and all the options he choose played accordingly. It was hell for the little girl. Now he had to channel all his anger to her, but was it her fault?
I still don't know why we have to blame someone for our mistakes, gambling is for those who are ready to take the fall. To me I can't blame my loss on someone.
1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: May 20, 2023, 11:14:20 PM
I think Neymar isn't an indispensable player for PSG anymore. Yeah he has been very effective in the times he played. We can understand this from his statistics for certain. However he is such an injury-prone player which is a big issue for PSG as a result. They just can't benefit from Neymar's talent as much as possible. At this point there is no meaning in doing their best to keep him here longer.

I will be waiting for PSG to be open for offers to sign Neymar in the summer. I don't even think that there would be so many teams at their door this summer. Because as I said he is an injury-prone player despite being a star and most teams would find his cost to themselves quite high for a player like this. Maybe only a couple of rich teams would try their luck.

Talking about Neymar Jr, he is a great player no doubt but being on the PSG side one would think he's going to do incredible things like contesting for best player in Europe but all he has ever won are just domestic trophies. Is just so sad that such a great player like him [Neymar Jr] had to struggle for years with the PSG team without any Champions league trophy.
Well from what have seen I feel Neymar Jr has played all his football at Barcelona and he did excellently well. To me moving to the PSG team is just to make money nothing more and I think there are teams who would require his services but can injury allow him play for long? I don't think so, age is not on his side.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: May 20, 2023, 10:41:29 PM
Real Sociedad really made it! It was still a tough away game on paper despite Barcelona's being comfortable already after declaring their La Liga title. But this dedicated performance helped Real Sociedad side anyway to even beat their opponent by 2-1 in Camp Nou. They have left a huge obstacle behind by a solid result on the road going to the Champions League.

I think the Barcelona side knows that they have already won the league and there's nothing to fight for, if they haven't won the league I believe it would have been a serious game to face talking about the Real Sociedad side, they weren't that brilliant to me because the Barcelona team are just playing to cover up their remaining matches. But it was a bonus game for the away team [Real Sociedad] to secure all 3pt and let's see how their performance would be like next season.
1952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 20, 2023, 05:37:42 PM
I have no idea of what's really going on with Arsenal this evening, they allowed an early goal and now they're struggling to make amends. The first half was all about Nottingham Forest but with the introduction of the second half I feel they [Arsenal] will come back with full force to take the lead in the first 20mins.
Arteta need to make the boys know that they have so much at stake even if Man City have the upper hands of winning the league, is not over until is over. The Gunners need to motivate themselves if not they're losing everything today.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 20, 2023, 01:13:31 PM
How I wish Arsenal to win this season, the winner would be Manchester City again. I am not a supporter of any club, but I like more competition and I do not wish Manchester City to win this the third time, they the club truly worth to win, Manchester City is really worth it. Arsenal began this season good, which I doubted and posted in the past that they are on and off. They proved me wrong and I thought they would be this season EPL winner. But at least, Manchester City took over the first position which was not a surprise as we had seen how Arsenal is lagging while Manchester City got stronger.

This is something many football fans would love to see, Arsenal winning the EPL but as it is luck is just not on their [Arsenal] side. Manchester City is a team that whenever they come out to play is like the opponents are being intimidated and is so worrisome and is like nobodycan match them. How I wish the Chelsea squad who has some of the best players (even if Lampard don't know how to use them) would sit up and go head to head against CITY and get a win, with that Arsenal still has hope for City to fail again by playing out either a draw or losing the next game before the last game. The question is, can City afford to even draw a game talk less of losing? Well let's watch the whole drama as we come to a close to this season.
1954  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What was your biggest fear with starting in crypto? on: May 20, 2023, 06:01:25 AM
Genuinely want to know what prevents your friends/gf/ colleagues from investing? Did you have any barriers when you first started?

Can't really say but as an individual there's always something trying to push us back even if what we're planning to get is profit, is like a force depriving us from achieving our goal. Well, the fear of missing out on that potential profits can lead one from making that impulsive decision, such as investing more than they can afford to lose and sometimes the fear of missing out FOMO is frequently heated up by social media and news coverage about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. With the way Bitcoin prize is going I believe we have those who are still afraid of HODLing.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: May 20, 2023, 02:21:59 AM
Chelsea will be a joke if they think they can end Manchester City winning run when they’re on the brink of securing the premier league title. Chelsea poor performance is a nightmare they’ve to live with till the end of the season. Manchester City will win this match as Chelsea stand no chance of prevailing against them. Pep Guardiola will take total control of the game and they’ll easily convert their chances and dominate the game in their own favor early.

Chelsea has never played out their best but I wouldn't write them off in this fixture against the Citizens because this is football, anything can happen and Man City can go into this fixture at the Etihad in front of their fans with confidence that they're going to win all 3pt and lose to Chelsea, that might be the turning point for the Blues in their last game against Newcastle.

The Nigerian government have set aside the whooping sum of #14 billion in naira for the rehabilitation of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja prior the inauguration of the new president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, while considering the huge amount of money for just refurnishing of the Aso Rock and we have many Nigerians suffering in hunger and poverty, youth having no employment opportunity and yet the government is claiming being in debt from foreign nations in strive to build a better Nigeria.

Is this a good take for the citizens to accept while many lives were in penury due to unaffordability of
daily and basic primary needs of food, cloth and shelter and the government is using 14 billion naira to refurnish the presidential house.

Newcastle still needs to win one more match to solidify their position although they have secured their participation in the champions league competition for next season but they should also ensure the maintain their third place till the end of season.

I really love the momentum the Newcastle team brought to the EPL, at least they showed everyone that they too can compete for a spot in the UCL. Making top 4 is not only what they're came for but to get their hands on the EPL title but luck wasn't on their side. I'd say Kudo to them and I still feel they're going to win their remaining 2 games.

I wished Ronaldo retired in Al Nassr. He has won several CL title to his name. Al Nassr  will give him chance to win other different medals outside the Europian competitions. I wished he will find happiness playing in Saudi Professional League s

When you see a great player we just have to acknowledge one, when it comes to CR7 so many things are just involved, he's a great player no doubt but he needs to enjoy his last days as a footballer before retiring. I don't wish for him to come back to Champions league football anytime soon, let him end his career at Al Nassr and up lift other players by being a team player.
1960  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: May 19, 2023, 10:05:26 AM
Staying poor or being poor is never a choice, is just circumstances that one finds him or herself that's the major cause. If you check the poor operate in scarcity mode, the poor can't give more because they don't have much so their thinking is just how they'd manage the little they have.
Sometimes no pushing forward to make a difference causes it too and the poor like waiting for that one time opportunity that would change their lives.
