For the first time since the beginning of this campaign I saw Manchester United played a wonderful football, no misunderstanding, they all played as a team like they should have been doing, I don't really know what ETH did since they all got back from international break, what ever he did let him continue.
The way and manner Man UTD played was too flexible, at some point I was wondering how the players get to switch positions on and on and back to their normal position. It's so impressive to me.
If they continue with this style of play I believe before the end of this month Manchester United will be competing for the top 4, if not for the title. I just hope this isn't a temporary form because this is going to help the team in a long while. Also seeing Maguire doing his best in today's game I believe he has gotten that shine back. What a lovely win for UNITED.

Since you asked I won't say I have done a huge or a PROMINENT contribution unlike many others like PowerGlove, Tryninja, joker_josue (Talkimg), LoyceV, DdmrDdmr to name the few.

But yes at our local board I started a Pak Community Fund (Funcoin Karobar) where we collect Funds/Coins, which will be distributed at the end of the year among the Top and Quality Posters of the local Board. As of today we have collected $128 (USDT) . We are running this award since 2021 and in last two years in 2021 and 2022 we distributed around $250 among the top contributors of the forum on our local board.

Those names and more to be mentioned have done so many things to improve this Forum or to get it to this very height, they deserve it and is just something many need to learn from, like teach others how to go about business on this Forum to make is better.
You on the other can't really say you have done something but I believe from all you have said you guys do in your community I feel those that have gained much from your contribution will tell if you have done something or not, from what I have seen you work will definitely speak for you.

Everton did very well by holding Liverpool to a draw in the first half but the way and manner the visitors are playing I don't think they can hold on for too long, because the Liverpool side are very fast when it comes to counter attack but when the Everton side are in possession of the ball to get a goal they ain't that fast to beat the Liverpool defense.
This is going to be another loss for Everton because I can't see them still playing out a draw after Ashley Young got the red card. Young was doing a great job by marking Diaz, but sending him off is going to be a disaster for Everton in the second half and I was hoping to see Everton get a win in this derby but as it is, is going to the home side to get a comfortable win.

I'm not sure what you mean by that.  Who's got what title dancing by their username?  Are you referring to Legendary members or some other thing?

I'm not referring to anyone in particular but there are users in this Forum that are seen as, how do I put it, ok let me call it very special set of people, they have done something that even the new members see them and acknowledge them. If you refer it on ranks I don't think is all high ranked members that have done something for the growth of this Forum.

Quote
I'm not sure I've helped this forum "grow" at all.  Growth implies increased traffic, new members, and that sort of thing--and if that's the question you're asking, I couldn't even name a single member who's helped in that capacity.  That's not to say there aren't members doing that, just that I don't know who they are.

You can't really say if you have but people who have seen your works or should I say your actions , how you go about things making sure nobody fail the rules and regulations would testify for you, so to you S.C, you haven't done anything, but to others you have. They're many and is best not to even mention them, contributors to this Forum are many, following there steps is something even the newbies would want to.

Quote
If you really want to give a shout out to growth drivers, aim it in the direction of projects/exchanges/whatever that run signature campaigns and bounties here, because those are the things that attract new members by the hundreds, perhaps thousands.  Not that I think they're always doing something positive for bitcointalk, but I have zero doubt they're responsible for the forum's popularity worldwide.

Compared to them, I haven't done jack shit.

About the signature campaign is like some people speak too much about that, as if everybody's attention is to just join and do the needful and logout, why is it that way?
Some members still think beyond that, is so sad that some people sees other members are money chasers, fine everyone needs it but making it as a topic on every thread is some how to me, we should just let it slide.
Well you keep saying you haven't done anything but before God and man you have and many sees you as a mentor.

We can't eliminate the importance of those who are impactful in catching spammers and cheaters, they are true heroes of the forum as long as they are true to the course.

These set of people you mentioned above are the true MVP because is not easy for them to devote their time to fish out those annoying scammers and others who just choose to make the Forum unhealthy for users, I'll always acknowledge them for that.

Quote
And for others with "prominence" tags outside this, my research shows that some are truly deserving of it, but are very few. I checked a whole lot about many of them and it shows that their work speaks for them indeed.

Is best to always put them to heart other than mentioning them because the list to me won't end here, like they always say in my country (Nigeria) "you can't tell yourself you're beautiful, people around you are the ones to cherish your beauty" that's what you really mean by their work speaks for them.

Quote
But for most others, they are only lucky to join the forum earlier or have amassed many merits one way or the other, which is why they believe they are prominent, but I can't find anything outstanding they've done.

That's true I quite agree with you on that, started early on the Forum and being old here makes them look outstanding without doing much for the growth of the Forum, to me I can't see such persons as prominent. To me before you own that you might have done something that's important or should I say helpful on the Forum.
965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 21, 2023, 03:14:52 AM
Arsenal should win this game when they find Chelsea struggling. Manchester City win was a huge morale boost for them but international break interrupted the focus, that may affect their motivation. It would be nice to win at Stamford Bridge, draw is also not a bad result but we don't see any draw between these two teams lately. There was no draw in last nine games, nobody is satisfied with a draw. Arsenal beat Chelsea 4 games in a row, let's make it to 5.

The international break is just a huge distraction to both teams but it is especially to Chelsea, is like when they're about to find their confidence the break just got in their way. I just have that feeling that Chelsea can't withstand the pressure that's coming at them from the Arsenal squad.
To me instead of Arsenal to draw this encounter against the Blues, is best they (Arsenal) lose because I don't see why a team would be so bold to beat the champions (Man City) and go on to draw with a team that's not consistent in the EPL.
The battle in this game should be in the midfield, some fans are saying Chelsea have the best midfielders than Arsenal and today we'll see whose midfield is stronger and better, to me I'll go with the Arsenal midfield, it's solid compare to that of Chelsea.

The drama that happened in Napoli between Victor Osimhen and this team is getting bigger and there is the possibility for Victor Osimhen to leave the teams at the end of this season or even sooner during the winter, these all happened because of the TikTok account of Napoli and they had bad behavior with Osimhen.
But Aurelio De Laurentiis, the owner of Napoli didn't say anything against this payer and it seems he is still hoping to see Osimhen stay in Napoli.

You see this story right here concerning V. Osimhen and the Napoli board is just so annoying. I don't know why they think they can be in charge of a player's life just because they've already signed a contract to come to an agreement.
No matter what, they have to let the player make his decision and I know V. Osimhen is lying about him forgetting that crazy mockery video they did about him, the man wants to leave but the owner was saying something that he sold Kalidou Koulibaly back then and I think he doesn't care about V. Osimhen if he chooses to stay or not.
They know the Nigerian international won't stay but they just want us to believe that they're in good terms of keeping Osimhen in the team, the player isn't happy and they know it, sooner or later he'll make up his mind to leave that's if he hasn't already. The Africa Cup Of Nation (AFCON) is by the corner and we know what happened last time when the owner I think refused to let go of some African players, so is best he leaves.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 21, 2023, 02:20:51 AM
ETH is talking about the skipper Andre Onana to step up and try as much as he can to do well to help the team, I still don't know why fans thinks the problem is the goalkeeper.
Onana isn't the problem, he has been doing everything in his power to make sure Manchester United are in good shape.
What I know is that United expectations are just too much that's why we see some players making some crazy errors just to impress, only if the expectations ain't that high I don't see Onana to be in any form of pressure, as it is I think ETH is adding more pressure on him (Onana) when he hasn't survive the ones coming from the fans. To me the best thing to do is for ETH to work more on the team and not on a particular player.
968  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Stop Teaching When You Need To Learn. on: October 21, 2023, 02:06:21 AM

Do you know that some newbies are really not newbies? They know better than some high ranked members and is really hard to tell who's really a newbie because these days I believe members are on disguise just to play a game of hide and seek, like not letting out their identity.
So in this case the suppose "newbies" have the knowledge of either trading and other stuff you think they're suppose to learn, and learning is for everyone no matter your rank, a newbie can educate you on what you feel you know much better.
There are newbies that new to cryptocurrency entirely and this forum might be their first place to have access to learning something legit about bitcoin and crypto, if such newbies ask question, it is always good to help and support them because that is the sole purpose of this forum. On the other hand, there are newbies to this forum but have some experience and knowledge about bitcoin and crypto trading, they are just here to build account and interact with other crypto experts on somethings related bitcoin.

Is really good to express how you feel about something especially things you don't know about but whenever you have that opportunity to share that idea you have about something say it without hesitating because you might not know who you're helping.
Some of these members who come online just to talk more about crypto should continue talking more about it and even making it look like a seminar, like let the conversation be more helpful especially to those who wants to engage in trading or investing, but using this word shouldn't be implied (newbies stop teaching) it kills their morale, let them say what they have to say and you put them through too, to me I see many newbies who are desperate to say something about what they know concerning trading or investment.

Quote
Creating new thread by some newbies to be teaching or given guide on somethings they are suppose to be learning in the forum is mostly for the sake of merits to rank up because some of them think that we must create thread that help the forum members in order to get merits and rank up.

I still ask, what if some of these newbies knows more than we think? Let's leave the rank newbie aside, don't you think some of these newbies might know what they're doing but some of us find it hard to acknowledge what they have to offer because they're called newbies?
Forget the merit and ranking up, some don't have that in mind not that the merit and rank up ain't important in the Forum but they have this aim of talking more about crypto than having merit to rank up (like some don't even know how some certain things works in the Forum), can't say what we all have in mind but some don't care about the merit, that's what I think.
969  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can it be real bull or just a temptation. on: October 21, 2023, 01:39:48 AM
It was a great surprised to me this morning seeing the market price increasing above $29k that made me to asked this question, if it's real for bull market to happen in this month of October or is just a temptation that will make people to release their BTC to the market before the massive bull will take place. If the price of BTC can reach this level $29k at this time, show that real bull will take place next month of November till next year ending for investors to use the period to earn more incomes from their investment and to plan well ahead of another bear to come. If this new increase turn to temptation in the crypto market by turning back to dumping again which are some of the things investors don't want to experience in this season because, it will cause Many losses to investors. Do you think this is a real bull that will lead to investors expectation? Or is just a temptation that will make people to rush to the market to sell and regret at the end? What is your opinion.

It was indeed a surprise because nobody expected it to be at this rate just too soon, to me I was expecting it to still be around $27-28k, just be going up and down maybe from next week it could be elevating.
Well as it is I'm very much ok that for almost 3-4 months it has gotten it's pace to this certain amount and nobody expected it to be so.
Definitely this has to be a huge temptation but not to all, let me say 65% might be tempted to sell and it might be in their favor. Investors have waited for long just to see this movement of Bitcoin price,  and some never believed October would be better than September, August or even the month before, so if anyone makes any form or decision either by selling it's just something they can't resist.
To some, we have waited for long so let's give it a try. I still feel BTC is still bumping lts wait and see how fast it will get, like I said let's expect $30-$32k before next week.

Kai Havertz to would be returning back to Stamford Bridge, I do hope he gets a warm welcome. He has been a big flop even with Arsenal.
Trying to boost his confidence, Arsenal players let him take the penalty in and game and he ended up scoring.
Personally, I will consider him and big scam, Chelsea benefited a big deal from his sake but hasn't done enough still.

Agreed! Arsenal wins with all due respect. Arsenal doesn't win and they'll both go home with a single point. Another safe option is to double chance Arsenal to either win or they should be winning either of the half.

Kai Havartz is just a player who has lost that great touch for football and going to where he won the champions league I don't think he'd get a big reception from the Chelsea fans because he hasn't done wrong I mean.
So getting back to Stamford Bridge would be something the fans would love to see but won't be pleased if Havartz gets his goal in that encounter.
The penalty given to him was to get him warmed up for this fixture against Chelsea to me, and I feel he's going to play out his best when the time comes.
I'm going with Arsenal to play out a nice game and steal that 3 point from Chelsea at Stamford Bridge no draw in that game.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: October 20, 2023, 05:19:29 PM
I still can't tell what's happening in that Arsenal goalkeeping department, this has to do with David Raya and Aaron Ramsdale. I still can't figure out why Raya has to be the number 1 goalkeeper while Arteta have to benching Ramsdale for no reason, was thinking he (Ramsdale) had an injury but no he's just ok. Arteta can make decisions that can make players leave the club when they're not suppose to leave.
If this continues I feel that Ramsdale can be tempted to leave the club, because to me Raya isn't good compared to Ramsdale.
There are some errors Raya made that cost Arsenal the game in the champions league and I can't imagine Ramsdale making such errors, to me the number goalkeeper should go back to his position talking about Ramsdale and not Raya. Against Chelsea, Ramsdale should be the keeper to avoid unnecessary pressure and errors.
972  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will BTC go above $30,000? on: October 20, 2023, 05:01:23 PM
I never expected bitcoin price to get to $29,500 this early, was expecting that to happen next week but from the looks of things I think is going to be heading up to $32k+ before end of this week. And I hope as it has surpass $28k it won't go back to $27k, let's see how it will be like before Saturday.
At least some traders will rather stick to what the market is bringing other than rely on bloggers who feel they can see the future of Bitcoin price, is best we stay calm and let the market direct us or show us the next price at hand, let's expect $30k from next week.
973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: October 20, 2023, 10:27:52 AM

Not getting Felix as a Chelsea player is one mistake the Blues made in this concluded transfer window and the annoying part was that the coach at Chelsea then can't even identify his (Felix) position, Frank Lampard could not tell if he's a 9 or a midfielder. That's just disappointing to know how poor he was as a coach.
But seeing this player Felix getting goals and assist for Barcelona is one of the best thing that have happened to that club, he's always there to get the job done and it will be too bad to let him go back to ATM, I'd like it if Barcelona get him a permanent deal rather than a loan deal, he's just a play maker.
What seems like a mistake is currently a blessing for Barcelona and I think João Félix would be glad Chelsea didn't sign him on a full scale or another loan deal cause he won't had got a chance to be playing for his dream team Barcelona currently, and since his arrival at Barcelona he's become one of the most outstanding player for the team and I believe his performance and work rate would make Xavi sign him on a full scale basis from Atletico Madrid.

What I can't understand is why he had to make a move to ATM rather than play for his dream Barcelona back then, why make such move🤔?
Well I still believe that he would have brought out the best in that Chelsea team just like he's doing at Barcelona. Chelsea wasn't ready to get him and they never knew what they're missing, I believe some Chelsea fans would be regretting their lovely team didn't get him.

Quote
Well talking about Barcelona, there were rumours that Messi could return to another club from Inter Miami on a loan and most Barcelona fans where happy about it cause they thought there club president would see that as an opportunity to sign their former star players, however it's been recently confirmed by the @ESPNFC on social media (twitter) and Barcelona fans would be sad to know that Messi has quashed the speculations that he'll leave Inter Miami on loan to play for another club once the MLS season ends, and his loyalty remains with his current club Inter Miami.

I feel that's just what the paper wants us to believe that he'll come back to Barcelona, talking about Messi but will it change anything if he returns to Barcelona? No, to me. Because I believe that Xavi has already done everything humanly possible to strengthen the Barcelona squad with the players he have got.
For Messi going back is just not too cool for me, let him continue elsewhere because it would be bad if he goes and bench some other players who has put in their all for the team, no doubt he's their legend but let's tell ourselves the truth, it won't be nice for him to go back to Barcelona.

I agree, some people have very good knowledge of trading but they didn't sign up in this forum, when they create account so we will call him newbie (in term kf Bitcointalk) while he has a good knowledge than of crypto and investment ideas more than a legendary. I think the best knowledge we could learn is from our practical experience and newbie with could gives advice on trading according to past experiences (either lost or win).

I agree with this point that newbie should focused more on learning more than a teaching and once he learned well then he will be able to gives correct advice and will not mislead others but this is only for those newbie who has no previous experience.

The major concern is, we shouldn't always use our ranks to judge anybody that's in this Forum, you can be a legendary member but you lack the knowledge about Bitcoin or cryptocurrency. Are you saying that if you see a newbie that you don't know from nowhere comes to give you advise on how to trade and you noticed he's good at it, are you saying that you won't let him teach you? You would of course.
Let's put it this way, we have every right to learn from anybody no matter who that person is or how low the rank of that member is, as long as the information is useful. The main thing is to get what you think you're lacking to improve your knowledge the more.
975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: October 20, 2023, 08:24:49 AM
regarding the upcoming match, PSG hosting Strasbourg will provide a very good opportunity to steal 3 points from Strasbourg and this match should not make it difficult for PSG to win because the advantage of being the host is that they always have higher self confidence and are very free to compete with each other very strong playing style. in this match Enrique opportunity to try some of the best new strategies to help PSG get additional points because if they are not too far behind in points it will really reduce Enrique bad reputation and if this season he fails to bring PSG to the title in UCl and also in league 1 , the threat of being fired from PSG will definitely happen.

They don't have any excuse to say this is why we lost or played out a draw just like last time. No matter how Luis Enrique has planned to do it this season, I don't see them as one of UCL competitors, they lack so many things to get them to that greater hight.
The players can't force their way to the finals, because the more they delay in improving their performance in the UCL the more other teams get stronger. So I only see PSG winning their league game against Strasbourg but the champions league game, is going to be hard for the French domestic champions.

To me I still feel we have some other members who have done something to be honored in such a way that even when they spit they get acknowledged. Like they're the eyes of this Forum, I have that believe that they might have done one or two things to the progress of this Forum, you know.

OP, for every person outstanding, as you put it, can be any person whom he respects and considers useful to himself. I didn't see the "outstanding" label, but I heard a hint of criticism in your post. Why should people do something for the forum, in your opinion? Personally, besides participating in the subscription company, what have you done for the forum? If you have a question, then you should imagine what needs to be done for the forum. Are you doing it? If all your answers are of the opposite nature, like that you are new to the forum and blah blah, then only the fact that some people do not change their interests and remain devoted to the forum for a very long time can be considered outstanding.

Don't get me wrong please, everybody is entitled to his or her opinion about someone or anything. I might be new here but here's it, I like the way these set of people are taking things to the next level on this Forum including yourself but as for me I'd like to know what you guys did so I can follow that same step, because to me I find it fascinating, or is there anything bad to learn from you guys at the top?
This isn't only about me but to other members too, upgrading our minds isn't such a bad idea to me.
I'm not the type that base on criticism, I hate that, not my thing. Like you said or assume that "besides participating in the subscription company, what have I done for the forum?" I can't say I've done anything (but I'd like to do to make this place grow positively), that's why I'm asking. There's nothing bad in asking to know what to do to make the Forum much better.

OP, for every person outstanding, as you put it, can be any person whom he respects and considers useful to himself. Maybe OP imagines that a person needs to rescue someone from prison before they can be seen as a prominent member and thinks those users have done so to earn themselves such respect.

Since this is a discussion forum, all you have to do is consider how you might help others here and invest your time in it. If others find your contributions to be worthwhile over time, they may classify you with highly esteemed individuals. Use lovesmayfamilis as an example, he has devoted his time to monitoring and reporting other members who plagiarise and break forum rules and this has made him a valuable contributor to the forum, and he has earned the prominent title because I myself hold him with high regard.

Each and everyone of them have contributed to the forum in their own way so you don’t see it that you need to do something big before you can be seen as a prominent member, just contribute positively in your own way.

Very funny (who do we need to rescue 😅?), now you get my point and from all you have said is clear and other members who come and read some of these replies would know how to keep there heads up high.
I too think I have much more to give but is like I don't know if I'm getting it right because I'd also like to see myself as a helping tool in this Forum not to only come here make post and run off, that's how some people think. But wanting to do more give you that same morale to always come back here and make things right.

I don’t think I have seen people with any title as Prominent by their names, except if I missed it those profiles Grin .

Not that they're having it by their rank or name, get me right here, I said they're seen as prominent members that's what prompt me to ask if these set of people or members if they have done something very big to keep this Forum going to be seen in such a way. You mustn't see the name PROMINENT attached to their profile or rank, what I'm saying is that they've already earned it and I asked what have they done to be seen that way? Is it because they have stayed on this Forum for long?🤔

After leaving for the international break with a humiliating loss to Newcastle and a 1-3 win over Rennes, they're back again to continue either their sluggish form or a more improved style of play, talking about PSG the domestic champions as I like calling them.
Going head to head against Strasbourg I believe is not going to be that stressful, because they're going to try every possible best to meet up in terms of performance and even use the visitors as a game to get ready for the Champions League which they know they need to win to stay alive in that campaign.
I can't say much but I see PSG getting ready for the UCL game with a big win against Strasbourg that's not match for them, but I assure you that the home team can't keep a clean sheet in that encounter tomorrow.

The essence of this topic is not to discourage anyone from doing the right thing especially the newbies but just to advise them on some certain things which they have failed to understand. It is not right to see a newbie account with 2 activity and zero merit advising people in the forum on the right investment to choose while investing in bitcoin especially when making the first post here. Even though you have knowledge of cryptocurrency before finding your way to the forum I think you ought to follow the due process by learning more about the things of the forum instead of teaching things you no nothing about, the forum is a place of learning no one is forcing you to teach things you don't have ideas of so don't worry about wanting to be noticed rather strive to learn faster so you can be noticed when you come out with your quality post.

Do you know that some newbies are really not newbies? They know better than some high ranked members and is really hard to tell who's really a newbie because these days I believe members are on disguise just to play a game of hide and seek, like not letting out their identity.

The person I'm so perplexed about in this Barca squad is Joao Felix, how he has hit the ground running after a dissappointing loan spell at Standford bridge. It is now I'm beginning to believe what people say about Chelsea, that they are good at killing player's talent.I can no longer doubt that because I remember several players that were very good while they were at their former club, and immediately they make move to Chelsea, their career ends.Maybe that was what happened in Felix's case, because if you look at the way he is playing at Barca, you will wonder why he didn't do well at Chelsea.
I am really impressed with the player, and it is good for players to be able to dictect the league they are good in to avoid transfer that will turn them to flops.
