There is no gun debate. There are those that believe in the Constitution and those that do not. The Constitution says I can keep and bear arms. It's very simple and unambiguous. It's governments that make it complicated by defying or circumventing the highest law of the land rather than attempting to change it.

The reasons they're shooting at targets of women and children is painfully obvious. Most people will hesitate before killing a pregnant woman or child. This instinctive hesitation is clearly being seen as a problem, just as instinctive hesitation among active duty combat troops is seen as a problem.

So the real question is...why are our public SERVANTS being militarized?

10k Btc ask wall placed at 29.85 will cause a price crash down to 28.85

$28.85 is umm...a crash? That prediction is going to appear particularly insightful in a couple days when the usual weekly dip occurs anyway...you should have waited a day to offer it.

You'd think they would've waited to fly someone across the globe until they had a product to demonstrate.
1944  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Government agents shooting at targets with picture of Pregnant American Woman on: February 20, 2013, 10:16:39 PM
Desensitization. Law enforcement across the USSA is being militarized, this is just an extension of that process. If and when there is open rebellion against the tyrannical stench emanating from most goobermint buildings this kind of "training" will pay off in spades.

I don't think in gonna stand for this if the story is true. This is how they teach militarized gestapo citizens to shoot their own countrymen

Homeland security isn't ordering up enough ammo to repeatedly shoot every man, woman, and child in America because they're about to deploy these empty headed toolbags to murder more people in other countries or more Americans abroad. Even sheeple have their limits, when the welfare checks stop going out there will be rebellion.

So...at least you're not getting a divorce with young children to think about.

Been there. Sucked.

Best of luck to you sir.

I hope anyone new reading this thread that finds our resident permabears at all credible will at least read back a few pages and find that proudhon and adam have been very consistently WRONG for several weeks.

Take anything they say with a dump truck full of salt.

I also received no email. I noted that status had changed to "address requested" and sent that information on my own initiative. Communication was dreadful and if you didn't check status of your account you could have been excluded from the refund list entirely.
1948  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Avalon ASIC Batch #2 Sales Update (Last Updated 2013-02-12 17:56 EST) on: February 20, 2013, 03:23:43 AM
I have received payment confirmation from walletbit by not logging in, but instead simply sending a ticket. TY, it's nice to finally have some confirmation from someone that this payment took place.

Now does anybody know how I turn this information into an acknowledged batch 2 order at Avalon's store? Currently it says I have no valid orders, though I can prove I've paid. Some have apparently received proper order #s since the botched batch 2 order open date.

Is there anyone else who hasn't received confirmation from Avalon for their order of the original batch #2 at this point or is it just me?

I only got one from Walletbit.

I received confirmation from Walletbit for payment and address verification.. was good enough for me. Specially since all Avalon will do is log into Walletbit to verify the order themselves which is the same information.

How did you get address verification from them?

I just asked through the http://support.walletbit.com

This results in:

"Invalid email or password"...despite being logged in to walletbit with the very same email and password.

Okay fine, I guess stupidly you must set up another account to get support. I sent this information over a week ago and have heard nothing but crickets. Roll Eyes

BRAVO! Grin Thanx!

Any chance of a batch 2 order confirmation spree in the near future?

Im really not sure what more confirmation you need for batch 2 orders? It has already been mentioned to contact Walletbit to verify any order through there system at http://support.walletbit.com.

In order for there to be more confirmation, there would have to be some kind of initial confirmation.

I've never received confirmation of anything from either walletbit or Avalon, save automated confirmation of opening a support ticket weeks ago. Emails sent to walletbit are seemingly going into a black hole. I paid as a guest, so have only a screenshot of the receipt and blockchain.info as proof it happened, nothing shows in my walletbit account. Support tickets opened, auto receipt acknowledged then ignored. If I go to the recently altered batch 2 store and login, it says there's no record of any transactions.

Calling their customer service crap is patently unfair to dung.

yes, we are getting to that once we secure a shipping channel, many business like us has items in custom bottle neck as CNY ends, so we expect some problems once custom reopen when holidays are over, once that's taken cared of, we'll get to batch #2.

Excellent, thanks.

Cheers.

Estimated...right. Measured readings vs theory. ...and how do you buy a product from ASICMiner? ...exactly?

I have ASICMiner shares btw, nothing against them, I just don't understand this Avalon is crap...crap.

I think most of the "Avalon is crap...crap" comes from them screwing the pooch so much on customer service.  Like I said in another thread..  that may be the way things are done in China, but they're market isn't just in China.. its global... western expectations of customer service do apply here.

I actually tried for over 2 hours to get in an order on batch #2..  At this point with their lack of communication, and ongoing lack of additional units in the wild, I'm actually glad I failed.  Getting 2 prototypes out the door does not equate to "we've shipped"

Soo.. yes, I DID allow my negative outlook on Avalon the business influence my inferior comment about Avalon the product.

Sigg

We're in 100% agreement here. Their customer service has been absolutely horrendous. I too have spent hours moving funds around and trying to order from them, even now I'm not sure I was successful because they have the funds but haven't said word one to confirm my order which was (hopefully) placed almost two weeks ago.
1954  Economy / Gambling / Re: 80 BTC bet between Micon and mrb (are BFL ASICs real?) on: February 15, 2013, 09:02:26 PM
...so when Josh says in early December that they still may ship in late December, then they still have nothing by mid February that doesn't bother you? Why are they still taking orders and advertising all over the place?
It doesn't bother me because it wasn't malicious.  He gave his best estimate based on the information he had available.  That the engineers took much longer than expected to complete the switch to BGA packaging wasn't his fault or something he could have predicted with certainty, at least as far as I can tell.

IC. I do not believe that engineers could be so grossly incompetent and you do. Fair enough. I can't accept the refraction problems, clock buffers, re-packaging and other missteps as actual events. If these are real engineering missteps and not lies then BFL should've fired a whole lot of people long ago, beginning with their COO.

I find BFL's behavior and Josh's in particular very disturbing and untrustworthy, but I understand YMMV.

Ugh.

Removing or remarking out the host file entry they told everyone on windows to enter yesterday allows access. Account access hide-and-go-seek anyone? Roll Eyes

I realize this. The hostfile mod got me access to my own funds yesterday and was necessary.

Today they've changed their IP and remarking out the host file entry allows access. Roll Eyes

Accounts emptied...done with them.

Holy sh1t. What a bunch of dinks.

Done with them till they stop pushing this silly NVC crapcoin.
1959  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 110K premined NVC is successfully destroyed ! on: February 15, 2013, 08:42:36 PM
Refresh doesnt work. Anti-DDOS is blocking IPs. I've had a friend empty my accounts until they stop peddling their own stupid altcoin and become an exchange again.
1960  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC-E still exist? on: February 15, 2013, 08:39:51 PM
Been down for about an hour...still down. Angry

Use your friend's internet connection or vpn or tor and try to connect afterwards. Connectivity issues are somehow related to anti-ddos protection, most likely they have your ip address blacklisted. Either wait 24 hours before they get it removed from stop-list or change your IP somehow. And do not open too much tabs when you trade, seems like this may trigger anti-ddos to block you again.

You're absolutely correct. Had a friend log into my account from their connection and move my funds to my wallets. BTC-e can go fvck themselves until they become an exchange again and stop peddling their own homebrew altcoins.

Thanks for your help.
