Thank you very much, wiser. You made my day. I was hoping that someone will be doing something like that and you are the best.  DNotes is now at the cross road of leaping to the next level. This is the time when any extra help from our community will make a huge positive difference. We are well aware that at this formative stage there are always inconveniences and room for improvements. Anything our community can help out will be greatly appreciated.

You're welcome Smiley

I created a post meant to serve as a gateway/overview/table of contents for all the guides. I'll keep it updated, and you all can link to it as needed.

The CryptoMoms forum is actually a great place to post these guides because there's a built in way for people to ask any questions they have, and they can get an answer from any knowledgeable forum member.

Excellent. Thanks, wiser.

So if I could just point out to make it easier for new people. Say for example I just heard about Dnotes. I don't know what they or bitcoin is but i want to buy some. I punched it in google and ended up on the Dnotescoin.com site and scrolled down to, how do i get dnotes. I read a bunch of technical stuff and am so confused i would know were to go and may even be over it at that point.

Is there anyway to link Cyptomoms there and a brief explanation or put a video on how to buy bitcoin and use an exchange there. Just to make it a little smoother for a new stakeholder. Also i didn't see THIS forum listed on there. Personally i think it would be great idea to make it super easy to find This or Cryptomoms.

Just a thought

I've put together a few guides to help with that very thing over in the Guides section of CryptoMoms. Guides I have written so far are:

How to secure and store your passwords
Coinbase: your first Bitcoin wallet
Trading platforms: your key to all other cryptocoins

These cover the very basics up to buying Bitcoin in what I think is the easiest way possible, then sending them to a trading platform and buying DNotes with them. I'm planning on writing my next guide about how the DNotes vault works and how to use it.

I agree that it would be a good idea to link to these guides, because they are written for people who have no prior experience with cryptocurrencies. I'll try to write up a post under "guides" which is basically a list of all the guides which I'll keep updated and that message could be linked to from anywhere.

My currently focus is on a number of other projects and issues that are instrumental in taking DNotes to the next level. They are challenging and demanding, but I am totally committed to make things happen. Again it is our practice not to disclosed details until we are certain that they are accomplished over close to it.

We had an awesome meeting with RJF. Great guy. We are very fortunate to have RJF's full support and I am particularly impressed that he totally shares DNotes philosophy of mutual corporation and contribution in building a stable and trustworthy coin for the mutual benefits everyone, even if it means we all have to work harder and wait longer.

We will most likely be signing up for the upcoming Bitcoin Inside Exhibition to be held in Chicago on July 10 to 11, 2015. I am looking forward to meeting you personally, if you can join us.

Brief Update:

The Chicago Bitcoin Meetup went extremely well. I have a good feeling that this will open up a lot of opportunities for DNotes and others. As things develop we will be deciding if DNotes will be switching over to the fast track. From my prospective we are doing significantly better than I had ever imagined. This is made possible because of your support and dedication, something we all should be proud of.

I will be out of town the next couple of days. Please support the forum as much as you can. I will be checking in when I have a chance. Thanks, for your support.

What is the fast track? I know either way I am hanging on for long term growth in DNOTES because it is made up fo a really sincere group of individuals and now DNOTES is well underpriced it's a great chance to grab some more.. Smiley

Our original plan called for a fairly conservative build up for the balance of 2015 with a gradual ramp up beginning in early 2016. Based on very positive industry feed back we have been getting, including significant funding prospects, we are evaluating various options that could propel DNotes to be a major player ahead of our projected schedule.

The average consumer may not feel that way. The Bitcoin industry has continued to gain significant momentum, especially in Blockchain related areas. The following article is good news.

Bitcoin Researcher Ed Felten Named White House Tech Officer
Pete Rizzo (@pete_rizzo_) | Published on May 11, 2015 at 21:31 BST

Princeton University professor of computer science and public affairs Ed Felten has joined the White House Office of Science and Technology where he will advise President Barack Obama on policy decisions related to technology and innovation.

The appointment is notable for the digital currency industry given Felten's longstanding interest in bitcoin and the digital currency's public ledger, the blockchain.

In addition to writing on the subject, Felten also attended the New York BitLicense hearings held in January 2014 where he presented a moderate view of the technology that stood in contrast to the more aggressive criticism levied by Boston University professor Mark T Williams.

Though his appointment is the sum of his professional accomplishments, Felton may nonetheless play a role as the White House begins to craft policy on financial technologies such as bitcoin.

Felten's appointment as deputy chief technology officer follows a stint with the US Federal Trade Commission that began in 2011

There was a question on the CryptoMoms forum about potentially having a savings account with interest that doesn't lock out your DNotes. While it is a viable option in the future, the real goal of CRISP for Retirement is to get people to save their digital currency now for the future as we are still in the infancy stages of what digital currency will do. The CRISP for Retirement program will play an important role for all of our future, retirement investment as a whole needs to change and I see that first hand with family and friends. The quote from the article below really hit home with me.

The Six Worst Retirement Investing Mistakes To Avoid

When it comes to managing our retirement funds, many of us suffer from perpetual insanity.

That’s not to say we’re crazy, although some investors may be when they take stock tips from television gurus or from brothers-in-law.

I’m referring to Albert Einstein’s definition of insanity: “Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

Source: http://www.forbes.com/sites/johnwasik/2015/05/11/the-six-worst-retirement-investing-mistakes-to-avoid/

My schedule for this week is the most demanding ever. So don’t expect much participation from me. I am doing everything I possibly can to put DNotes in the best position for rapid growth beginning next year. There are a lot of things taking shape behind the scenes and we are gaining a great deal of admiration, when our industry is struggling to regain its reputation.

Here is my brief response to the question of interest paying accounts. It is important to have a clear investment objective. And don’t get confused on what your priorities are. Decide what is more important for you. Compounded interest accumulation or capital appreciation. High dividend paying stock or high growth stock for long term appreciation.

Here are two examples for reference only based on an assumption of $100 invested for a period of seven years.

$100 invested today at 5% compound interested, at the end of 7 years is worth $141.
Year      5% Interest   End of Year
1   $100    $5.00    $105
2   $105    $5.25    $110
3   $110    $5.51    $116
4   $116    $5.79    $122
5   $122    $6.08    $128
6   $128    $6.38    $134
7   $134    $6.70    $141

$100 invested today at 1 cent per DNotes, if DNotes is worth $1 per DNotes in 7 years:  ($100 x 100) = $10,000. There are no assurances that this could be achievable. This just demonstrates the potential of high returns albeit high risks. I hope this is helpful to put things in prospective.

Food for thought: what carries a high risk? 1) $500 saved in a CRISP savings or 2) No plan to take care of student loan debt. Just decide how to cross that bridge when you get to it.

While the financial status of students in the US worsens and their 1 trillion dollar debt grows, here are some higher education positions that are becoming increasingly lucrative;

Highest Paid Private College President Annual Salary - $3.36m

Highest Paid Public University President Annual Salary - $6.06m (Left June 2013)

Highest Paid Professor Annual Salary - $4.33m

Highest Paid College Football Coach - $7.16m

Highest Paid College Basketball Coach - $9.68m

This is very telling and it is a rather consistent trend. The rich will get richer and those in the upper middle class will do quite well. Unfortunately, majority of the people will continue to struggle. I respect those who are successful and make a lot of money. However, I am very passionate about giving others a chance to gain some financial freedom and I am determined to take DNotes to the next level so that I can get to the top 2% and invite them to join force with us to help millions to rise from poverty. DNotes is not a charity coin but will proudly participate in charity efforts. It is a coin built with trust and integrity. As as stable trustworthy digital currency it can be the most effective tool for the rich to help many in great needs.

Absolutely TeeGee! Smokeys Gardens has introduced me to DNotes and I am so thankful they have. I work for a company that is concerned about my future finacial state. Dnotes has so much to offer a student like me and has so much to offer other individuals. The CRISP for students is allowing me to create a plan on how I will pay off my student debt, along with my future childrens as well. In the mean time, this is costing me absolutely nothing and all i had to do was sign up! I am constantly worrying about the amount of debt I am gathering as I finish my journey through school. The MULTIPLE programs that DNotes has to off for long term finacial stability has allowed me to feel a sense of security for the future.

Haley Mullett

Hi Hayley,

Welcome to the DNotes forum!  I just wanted to wish you good luck with your CRISP and I hope it gives you some peace of mind as you finish off your studies.

Great post Hayley, thanks. I will be at the farm next week to personally meet with an important visitor from our community. I will let him have the honor of filing the report after the meeting.

I have personally worked with Hayley. She is an amazing young lady. I am passionate about helping small business owners, their employees and students, of course. It is unfortunate that so many people worked so hard and barely make ends meet and yet 50% of the wealth is owned by the top 2% of the population. It may take us a while to get through their gate keepers. In the mean time, we will continue to do what we can helping those within our reach to secure a better financial future. Thank you all for your support.

I received a great question from a friend today, that some of our silent readers may be asking themselves.

"Do you think that dnotes vault caused so many people to pull their coins off of exchanges that it lowered the amount of circulating coins.  Of course dnotes vault is the most secure way to store everything, but could it have negatives as well?"

My reply,

"Good question. Saving your coins in the DNotesVault does not take them out of circulation,  you are merely protecting them for a later date when they have more vaule. If there are 98m DNotes in circulation and 97.5m in the Vault, that means the most someone can buy on the exchange would be 500,000. This effectively restricts the buyable supply, even though there is no less in circulation, as a user may send their DNotes to an exchange at any time. In my personal opinion, developing a saving mentality is important for our financial network to have the greatest impact on the world. I'd like to remove mindless consumerism, and inefficiency as driving forces in the world economy, and replace them with strong savings habits and self sufficiency. I'm sure many DNotes core members would agree."

That is a good answer, CryptoBroker79. Developing a sustained good saving habit early is a key to financial independence. Be sure that your investment is secure. Your DNotesVault deposit is not only secure but also comes with 100% deposit guarantee. No one else does that. That is a mark of distinction. Current usage of DNotes is for trading purposes with fair liquidity and as such there are plenty of DNotes in circulation to support the market. By strategic choice, we will only start promoting DNotes as a medium of exchange sometime in 2016.

Knowing your goal is important. Investing in the digital currency space is high risk and should not constitute more than 10% of your funds available for investing. All indications are that more 50% of all coins will fail than succeed. Finding the best in class, and staying with it, is a smart investing discipline. That is how Venture Capital makes the most money. They are also always in it for the long term. To them is around 5 years. DNotes is at the beginning of its second year, and I am absolutely certain that DNotes is the best in class among all other coins that has been around since Feb. 18, 2014 or earlier. If you find a better performing coin or better positioned, I certainly like to know. For that reason, DNotes if way undervalued at 5,000 Satoshi. That, of course, is just my opinion.
1972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NOTE]DNotes - CRISP for Students launched! on: May 09, 2015, 06:01:39 PM

What will aid the growth/evolution of DNotes, leading to mass adoption?

1 ) COOP's in Micro Communities
2 ) Micro-lending bank like Kiva or Grameen
3 ) Grass roots local campaigns for DNotes and CRISP programs

Quite simple really, keep DNotes in the public eye. Constant, targeted PR and articles about DNotes along with announcements and updates on public forums and in the traditional media. What Dyna is doing now and planning to do next year, will bring slow, steady adoption through the CRISP programs and, as Dnotes gains value, as a currency. Time and hard work will do it, there are no short cuts to lasting success, ever.

RJF, you are absolutely correct. It will take time and a lot of hard work. What DNotes has been able to accomplish in just over a year is astonishing. This will be a great year for DNotes and next year will be even better by a long shot. I have been engaging in passionate discussion with a very broad range of people in our industry including early Bitcoin supporters, editors, authors, economists, VCs. students,  industry peers and many more. We are gaining great admiration and respect. We all need to be proud of that. DNotes is all about trust and integrity and our commitment to contribute and share with all interested parties for the mutual benefits of everyone. If money is for everyone, then DNotes should be for everyone too.

hello as always very happy to see how well things are going and the great work at hand for all our futures... I had a question as my daughter is 8 and in grade three and I was wondering if she can qualify for a crisp for students or is she to young.. I do have a vault account and just need to know what the steps are I have to do to make this happen for her, as she is the generation or crypto currency users ... Thank you for you time in answering my question and thanks for the great work you all do here ,I'm very impressed with all the dnotes crew ..keep it up .. Cool

Hi kold678. Very nice to see you. Certainly, your daughter is qualified to sign up as a student. This is a great time to sign up, even though it is still in pilot stage. That is our way of building a solid foundation. We always take our time in launching new projects, fine tune it and focus in a smaller market segment at the beginning. Our initial CRISP For Students targets universities and colleges; in the meantime, students of all ages are welcome.

Our family of CRISPs are designed to accommodate everyone; "from the unborn to the very senior, from the poor to the super rich". DNotes is for everyone and not just the privileged few. We believe that this philosophy is instrumental for mass acceptance of digital currency. This will take a long time but we want DNotes to be on the right path so that everyone can benefit.

We are working very hard to position DNotes for rapid growth starting next year. A great deal of work is done behind the scene, and I have been getting excellent feedback everyday from new contacts around the world who are quite amazed how much DNotes has accomplished while most of the other coins have been struggling.

Quote From TeeGee:

A very impressive amount of attention has been given to this, including alternative write ups.

I love the show garden - I guess they don't get picked for sale, or if they do, maybe at the end of the season.

It would be really cool if you had a daylilly that was dark blue on the outer leaf, and light blue on the inner - name that one DNote's flower Smiley.

Dyna:

TeeGee, thousands of hybridizers have tried but no one has succeeded in creating a blue or dark blue daylily yet. I will pay you $5,000 for your first plant if you can do it. Here are three of my creations that could be named "DNotes" There are many more choices though.

Smokeys Daylily Gardens is a success story worth telling one day when I have more time. It is a very typical case of small business owners wanting to be successful for themselves, for their family, and their employees, but many have continued to struggle in vain despite their never ending hard work and scarify. With mounting regulations and rising cost it is becoming increasing more difficult and challenging for small business owners across America to succeed. Small businesses are the engine of job creation and often, character building. A little help and guidance can go a long way. I am proud to have the opportunity to give Smokeys Daylily Gardens a helping hand and some strategic directions as a management consultant and a friend. I am delighted that they are doing so well these days.

Peak bloom of daylilies is typically between June 15 to July 15 in the Midwest , depending on the weather. It is stunning. Smokeys has over 3,000 cultivars that are commercially available, depending on inventory levels. We have created over 5,000 new cultivars ourselves that could be registered and named as “DNotes” “CryptoMoms” and others. It may even be fun to have a naming competition one day. New daylilies, at introduction, are sold between $100 to $500 for a single plant. They are gorgeous. It will be nice if we can share some beautiful pictures with you.

We are VERY busy here at Smokeys Gardens. The first two or three weeks of shipping are very hectic. We have well over 50,000 plants to ship that were sold over the winter months but not delivered to the customer. We set a record this year, shipping almost 60,000 plants in the first two weeks of shipping. Even though we are very busy, I felt compelled to comment on Dyna'a post.

Yes, we do have quite a story to tell. We built Smokeys Gardens from startup to Best in Class despite many roadblocks put in our way (Cancer, Heart Surgery, Economic Downturn, and Real Estate holdings equity, [along with borrowing power], dropping by 30% to 40% in value). How did we do this? The most important task was identifying what we wanted the business to look like when mature. Only then could we work towards a goal. Another important part was knowing our competition. Who are we competing with? We hit the road and VISITED our competition. How do they do it? How can we improve it? We studied and learned everything we could about growing, planting, and harvesting Daylilies from them. Then came the hard part. Execution. Hard work. Long hours. Usually, the top dog directs his minions from the Corner Office, observing and directing. Not   in Smokeyland. Dyna, DNotes and I put in several 100 hour weeks on several occasions. Lead by example.

We followed the same path with DNotes. Plan. What are we building? What should it look like when mature? Know the competition. What are they doing? What are their goals? How can we do it better? Execution. Work from waking to bedtime. When you are very passionate about what you are doing, work is not work. We here at DNotes are like my old hunting dog. Happiest when working. There are very few things that are more fulfilling to us than having a plan, planning a path, and executing that plan.

Smokey

Very well said. A lot of times, it is not how much start-up capital you have, or how many people in your team, but how passionate you are and how well you can work as a team. Common people under good leadership with great strategic plans and directions can lead to the achievement of uncommon goals. What DNotes has accomplished in a very challenging industry in just over a year with a dedicated a community is quite astonishing. It is historic. And this is only the beginning.

Great news for our industry!

Bitcoin Exchange Receives First License in New York State

New York State’s top financial regulator has granted the first license to a Bitcoin exchange, allowing it to open legally to customers across the country.

“This is a big deal, not just for us, but for the entire Bitcoin industry,” itBit’s chief executive, Charles Cascarilla, said.

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/05/08/business/dealbook/bitcoin-exchange-receives-first-license-in-new-york-state.html?_r=0

That is fantastic news!

I found this interesting:  "ItBit avoided the need for a BitLicense by instead applying for a trust company charter, which appears to come with even stricter regulations. It is the first trust company to be created in New York since the financial crisis."  Making the choice to take on stricter regulations has to be a first in this industry.  It's also hard to believe that in New York, not a single trust company has been created since the financial crisis in 2009!

Great news but very demanding and challenging. We will be looking into it.

“While some see Bitcoin as alluring for its potential to operate outside this system, we see it differently,” Mr. Cascarilla said in a blog post on Thursday morning. “We believe Bitcoin and blockchain technology have immense potential within the system — to help make it more efficient, to offer new solutions and to bring us all into the future.”

I totally agree with Mr. Cascarilla statement that there is "immense potential within the system".

Great news coming. Smokeys Daylily Gardens with be the first merchant to accepted DNotes as payment for any daylily purchases. Major announce for immediate release.

The world we live in has always been changing. The speed of change is ever increasing. Regulations are falling further and further behind in keeping up with technologies. Perhaps our next generation of elected  leaders must pledge to keep up with the speed of change. This article is a must read.

Why I'm Excited for Medium's Partnership Wit Creative Commons

When the Net was born, its code was its norms. Its architecture enabled sharing. Its users shared wildly.
Many celebrated this freedom. Some fought it fiercely. Shared creativity was also copyrighted creativity. And under the rules of copyright, to share is to require the permission of the copyright owner — unless (in America at least) that sharing is “fair use.”

When this battle first exploded, it presented itself in binary terms. People were, the story went, either for copyright, or against it. And if you were for “sharing,” that meant you were against copyright. The norms of the net, it followed for many, had to be changed if the rules of copyright were to be respected.

But many of us recognized then something that’s pretty obvious in retrospect now: that there are many who respect copyright, but who want to encourage people to share their work. And what the Net did not give those creators was a simple way to say that and make it stick. The law presumptively said no; we needed an easy way for creators to say yes.

Hence Creative Commons: a simple way to mark creativity with the freedom the author intends it to carry. Coders (Aaron Swartz was the first) crafted its technical architecture, lawyers (beginning with copyright experts at Cooley) drafted its legal architecture, and an incredible team of design geeks and entrepreneurs (including Matt Haughey of Metafilter and Glenn Brown, now at Twitter) built a simple and beautiful interface to enable people to mark their creativity with the freedoms they wanted for their work, as distinct from the restrictions the law otherwise imposed. In the middle of a war between “All rights reserved” and “No rights respected,” we raised a flag of “Some Rights Reserved,” with the balance given over to the public for free.

Millions of works now live under this banner. On Flickr there are nearly a billion images licensed “Some Rights Reserved.” Both Google and Bing now enable people to search on the basis of the freedom to reuse. Almost all of the freely licensed scholarship in the world today is Creative Commons licensed. YouTube and Vimeo give creators the freedom to mark their work with freedom. Wikipedia protects its community of authors with a Creative Commons license that assures its collaborators that their collaboration will be free to all.

Today Medium gives their creators the choice to join this community4freedom. To anyone who knows Medium (and the innovators behind its birth), this is not a surprise. Medium has captured something powerful about the way creativity in today’s web can be shared. And by embracing Creative Commons licenses, it stakes its commitment to the idea that it is the authors who should be able to choose just how freely they want their work to be shared. Medium thereby marks itself as not yet another island of creativity on the Net, but as a platform that encourages people to create and share across the many islands that the Internet has become. That encouragement will help keep the Net as it was born: a platform that encourages sharing, now with the simple ability for authors to say, “Of course, share this too.”

I'm sure Ron Paul stance on the Federal Reserve is not news to many of you. It is still recommended read and highlights why digital currency is necessary.

Also, if you watch the video at the end of the article there is an interview with a coin.mx spokesperson. Is anyone familiar with this exchange and how it is structured?
The way they spoke in the video as if it was a club, and club members were free to trade with each as long as the are mindful of their local regulations. If not, I plan to create an account and check it out tomorrow.

After 40 Years of Looking, Ron Paul Finds Bitcoin

Ron Paul started talking about the serious problems of the Federal Reserve system in the 1970s. In his words, the ability to control the supply of money was “throughout history, the most sought-after monopolistic power of man” (below). He was generally greeted by the sound of crickets, both by fellow politicians and practically everyone else.

For an unfathomable reason, Paul was re-elected to U.S. Congress over and over again for the next 40 years, all the while speaking out against the Fed and its monetary practices of inflation, fractional-reserve lending, bailouts and “foreign aid.” There was no aspect of the dollar's nefarious doings that Paul didn't decry to anyone who would listen.

Like most in Austrian economics (the economic school of thought Paul espouses), he saw the remedy to Fed-caused depressions and recessions as precious metals — a return to gold and silver currencies. “End the Fed” became both a mantra and a best-selling book title released by Paul during his 2008 and 2012 presidential campaigns.

But Paul's political career did not result in the legal abolition of the Fed. Not even close. Not by a long shot. But it did leave a large portion of an entire generation hungry for a new money — an alternative currency — as a way to, as some put it, “Ignore the Fed.”

One of the interesting things to note, would be the potential implications for financial integration with crypto's that transcend geopolitical bounds. I imagine if enough people in two countries, say, the USA and Canada adopted DNotes as the dominant currency, it would not only insulate the wealth of those holders from Federal Reserve policy, but lead to rapid integration of financial markets in both countries. Partner banks may offer crypto-specific lending rates, and these rates would probably be very similar world-wide, rather than being enforced parochially by the local Government's interest rate set for it's own backed currency (dollar). The US FED could have a 2% interest rate, and banks would lend at 5%, but the same banks and/or different players would offer "crypto-lending rates" that could eliminate the 2% rate added by the Fed, and everybody could borrow at 3%.

I imagine such financial integration would be very worthwhile to developing nations - they would likely pay a slightly higher premium still because of risk. I also think it's interesting that crypto that makes its way to developing nations today, that then rises in value like DNotes will, will then mean a lot of purchasing power for citizens in those nations. Their currency will also be secure, and protected from internal political turmoil - the value/price of their DNotes will be dictated mostly by players in the relatively more politically and financially stable western world.

Hi TeeGee. I wish I have more time to respond to your post but you made such an excellent point about a focused strategy of generating significant adoption in the US and Canada, and the rest of the world will follow. From a winning strategy standpoint that is exactly correct. Blanketing Chicago to get the country to participate is based on the same principle. We are also reactively building grass root groups around the world. What it means is that I response to every inquiry that comes in with my best efforts without proactively seeking them out. DNotes is a well deserved case study. We are loaded with the best winning strategies and the execution of them at their best. That is precisely why we are so confident that DNotes will be very successful.

Those of you on my distribution received an email from me today. That is a true sample of many email replies I have been sending all day long. These are real efforts in positioning DNotes for rapid growth.
