Ok, I will check the hash rate on this card and if it's a decent amount I will post it for you to look at.
If it is not going to do much I will let you know.

What kind of GPU are you looking for?
I do have an Nvidia PCIe card I would have to double check the model and post it here for you if you want.

A card that is compatible with mining altcoins. But sure, go ahead and post it. I am open to trading.
Thanks.
1982  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for a commercial place to mine bitcoin and expand in future. on: February 18, 2014, 07:03:17 AM
It's too bad your on the west coast and I am in the north east.
I have been going over the electricity output of the methane electricity generation plant on the farm and I have been seriously considering converting over one of the buildings to host a mining operation.  The problem is if I do it I do not have any money to buy the miners.  The building I could convert is nice, clean, and open format.  My father-in-law could have it insulated and cooling put in for the summer months easily.
I had not approached him about it seriously other than just a rough outline due to my lack of funds.
You can't beat free electricity in this business.  We also had fiber internet connection installed there this past fall.
I think I am going to have to put together a business plan and see if I can figure out a way to get this going.

As for your question do this.
Check out local office and retail spaces in mid level areas where you want to be.  They typically have access to steady power, internet and security.
Most of those types of spaces also have good cooling which will help you out quite a bit.
One thing I had seen alot of before I got injured was office spaces that were safe, secure and most notably inexpensive as there was so much of it unused due to the recession.  Landlords and companies offering the space are bending over backwards to get people to rent or buy their space.

Another thing you want to look into is insurance.  That way if anything is stolen or damaged you are covered.  There are lots of companies that insure data centers and such for reasonable rates.

I hope this helps you out.

Luckily most will work in non PCI16 slots.
Lucky for the rest of us you are addicted to fixing stuff.
Can't wait to see your results on the cards.

Bought another power supply. Now I'm starting to work on broken ATI video cards. I DON'T EVEN HAVE A PCI16 PC! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!!!!!!!!

Ahem. I think I'm addicted to fixing things.

Good to know.  What did you buy from him?

I can vouch for Ocean he's a good guy and worth doing business with.

Very cool.
I hope I can afford an Ant S1 too.  They seem to perform well and be easy to setup.

Added an Antminer last weekend, now up around ~430gh/s total... I promise, this must be it for a while, no more room to put any more gear!! My schedule is nuts right now too, so there's no time to mess around with new gear. This is it for a while, and so far it's all running really nice, getting around .013-.014 per round at Slush...

That's the best way to do it as it usually keeps your business going as well.  Upgrading and keeping going makes sense usually as you and your investors continue to get income.
I just got my first 9900 shares.   Smiley

So what happens when the units are no longer profitable?

We put it up for a vote.
Options would include: Sell them and upgrade.... is usually best choice....

Very cool.
Thanks for the info.
I finally can use my small DVC collection to buy something with.

When do yo go live with your operation?

We have FAS already up and running.  It is scrypt mining operation.
This ASIC chip is all new and I have to place an order to get a delivery date.
Once the chips get back here to Tulsa, then we start shipping and mining.
My guess is 4 weeks after we place the order.
Once we sell out then everyone will be free to sell and trade shares.

Thanks for the information.
I will get the wallet now.
Good deal on the dashboard.

Good to know.
I just wish the dashboard would better display my mining rate.  It usually shows nothing at all or half of what is actually being done.

Does this mean we have to update our wallets to a new version as well??

I've switched to our v.1.5 Coindaemon, we are definately on the correct chain !

The Dashboard should get better soon.

Yes, you should or you need to use 1.5 wallet.
1995  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed - Group Buy]Dualminer USB ASIC sha/scrypt miner $85 [USA Only][Batch #2] on: February 17, 2014, 09:16:23 PM
I will check in a little while and post it when I get back in the server room.

What are you getting with 775?
I used 850 and get about 89kh/s LTC only mode.

Yeah i do not use there GUI interface, but you have to use their version of cgminer with the -S commands

MY BTC.BAT  for 7 miners

cgminer.exe --dualminer-pll 600 --dualminer-btc 64 --per-device-stats -o stratum+tcp://mybtcminingpool:port -u myworkername -p mypassword -S //./COM35 -S //./COM37 -S //./COM39 -S //./COM41 -S //./COM43 -S //./COM33 -S //./COM45

when i set my PLL to 800,850,or even 900 my WU rate is too low.. maybe i need to go lower

EDIT: PLL 775 looks like a winner

but whats your WU at?

at PLL 775 im at 139kh/s with 2 dualminers and my WU is only 12.3, so it seems like i still need to find a better sweet spot

Good deal.

By the way did no param string help you out at all with your DualMiner?

Testing it out now, appears to be a little quicker.   Grin

Cool!
I like this I'm going to sign in now.

Okay MobileMiner users! Going to let this one slip out here for some testing before a larger announcement.

The HTML5 MobileMiner app is now available at http://web.mobileminerapp.com  Grin

You can login with your MobileMiner email address and application key and then monitor and control your rigs just like with the existing mobile apps.

I will do that.
It gets nuts having a different miner for each coin.

I cannot mine Vert with it either.  I think you have to use Verts own mining software for now.

Is it compatible with vertminer?
I tried to install vertminer under the bfgminer repository in multiminer and renaming the vertminer executable in bfgminer but it doesn't work (I can't scan the devices). I thought we could choose the miner engine?
I used it with linux bamt.

Is there a way to make it work with something else than bfgminer?

We've mentioned this to the Vertcoin devs already afaik. If you'd like support for Vertcoin (or really any algorithm) please ask the developers to consider committing / merging their code into bfgminer rather than forking older miners. There's really no need for everyone to keep making 100 slightly-different-variations of the same miner. In fact it's a pain-in-the-ass to support  Sad.
2000  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Introduction to DualMiner USB (could mine both BTC and LTC) on: February 17, 2014, 07:16:49 PM
LOL that is a good one.
If he is a crypto Robin Hood he should send his spoils to me.  I'm poor and disabled and struggling to get by.  Not a joke.

On topic though the DualMiner people have been great both sales and customer service wise.  They keep in excellent communication and are actively developing their software with community input.
I am very happy with them so far.

By the way did no param string help you out at all with your DualMiner?

Is this good or bad?
It's a lot of info but I am not sure what to make of it.

I think he believe's he's the crypto world's Robin Hood...  Nothing better to do than show people how he knows how to use Google.
