Great buy!

Which brand did you get?

Cool I see a new version there only 45 mins old.
Thanks again.

For maximum performance, try the latest binaries from dropbox. 2-5Kh/s per miner can be gained overall. Smiley

Excellent work Sandor.
I used cpuminer in my review of the Blade because it worked so well.
http://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/news/5-2-mhs-scrypt-miner-review-gridseed-blade/2014/05/08

The constant improvements have been great.  I had version g running all night and I got up this morning to it running perfectly still.
Thanks again for the hard work.

I had to send back the Rosewill's as they kept blowing or capping out at 800w.

MONARCH PREPARATION:
In order to prepare for the arrival of our next generation Butterfly Labs mining equipment, I have purchased 5 - 1300 watt power supplies using funds from the Nasty Mining BTC holdings account.

These PSUs arrived safely today.

There are some power sipping beasts on the horizon.  I just interviewed a company about one a little while ago.
I should have that ready for Amsterdam.
But you are right we are at a tipping point.

I think we need an extreme change with the bitcoins. We are absolutely near the point where electricity is more expensive then the worth of an mined bitcoin. What we need is an sicgnificant increase of the bitcoin price. It has to go up for more then 100%, if not we all have to switch off all our miners.

+1
That was perfect.

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
Great quote, but we've already seen enough stupidity in bitcoin and we're about due for some more malice...

ASIC miners coming to vertcoin and other scrypt-N coins? This company claims their machines can mine scrypt-N coins.

https://www.flowertechnology.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Accouncement-29_04_14.pdf

This was already debunked as a scam in previous threads... -_-

Oh, I guess I was late to hear about that. Thanks for the info. Smiley

No problem. I was actually interested in flowertech until I realized they never shipped a unit to date. I had simply mistaken them for another company.

Anyways, the parts they claim to use for Scrypt-N ASICs has so many technological fallacies brought upon manufacturing. Flowertech, unlike other manufacturers who have shipped ASICS, avoids giving a technological breakdown on how such a phenomenon could exist today. That kind of gives it away, among many more reasons.

Where was it debunked?
I have not seen proof they are real or that they will work but I have not seen anything disprove it yet either?

If you are looking for more info, you can click back through the past 10-40 pages and find the discussion being brought up.

there you go buddy lod this thread up on a tablet and take it to the toilet now you have 40 pages to read to find your answer lol

Pretty much! Haha

If he is really a writer for cryptocoinnews.com, he should write an article about merged mining with BTC. Already I am mining 3 coins simultaneously. At least mention the implications on the future of altcoin mining for GPU miners. It would be nice to see and read about aside from getting the word out. I go there and coindesk everyday for my dose of crypto news XP

I have been looking into merged mining with VTC and Mon right now and keeping tabs on those that are adding a 3rd coin.  It has been interesting and there is a ton of info to go through.
I am going to be trying the walk through on mining the 3 coins hopefully tomorrow.
Thanks for reading cryptocoinsnews.com I know I am my fellow writers appreciate it.  Grin
I will keep you posted on my progress and may ask you some questions about it.   If all goes well I am going to write an article about it as it is big news.

1071  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [8500 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+NMC, Stratum, VarDiff, Private Servers on: May 07, 2014, 04:54:28 AM
That is some great sleuth work.
I have to say the pool rate dropped by almost 2000 in the last 48 hrs but our blocks have been coming faster and faster like before in your time frame.

There's 2 possible break points.  There's ~2.1b and ~4.2b.  One is for signed 32-bit, one is for unsigned.  BTC Guild's luck took a sharp turn starting ~6 weeks ago.  That is right in line with the network difficulty passing 4.2b (March 24).

Luck for BTC Guild and Eligius both started trending negative a little earlier than that.  Roughly February.  However, this wasn't bad enough on either pool to simply rule out variance for that time frame.  For BTC Guild it was ~6% negative in March.  For Eligius it was ~5% negative.  However, February is when 2.1b break point (Jan 24th adjustment put diff over that amount) would have triggered.

Right now the largest users that had definite anomalies in their shares vs blocks solved have had accounts frozen, and one group has contacted me and is looking into it.  If they come back and it is a definite 'Yes, something was broken in our software/firmware/hardware', then at least the problem is identified and will be fixed.
1072  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 1oz Silver Physical Bitcoins / NastyFans Seats on: May 07, 2014, 03:40:51 AM
Pretty much.  I would suggest if you do ever do it to use your finger nail so you do not gouge the silver or the key underneath.

It is under the hologram.

How do you reveal the private key when the time comes to do so? Huh
Not that I want to right now but just curious.

So it lifts off with a thumbnail or razor knife  Huh

Yes it is.
They are going to be announcing new pricing very soon.

Is this project still alive?

https://coinplorer.com/hardware mentions a shipping date of May 5 (today).

1075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 04, 2014, 07:23:51 PM
I have not had any issues with Autotune on the Blade.  If it goes to high and fails it puts it lower and it works great.
The sweet spot seems to be 850 for me so far on the Blade.  Solid, stable, and next to no errors.

Changed to the new version, running solid for 5+ hours. Autotune already finished, it's a very nice feature, now I can push my rig further!

Thanks for your work, sandor111

Having read on how tight the Blades are on specs - has anyone experienced issues pushing too hard via auto tune yet?

Hi
Are we close to having the Mon merged mining backend set yet?
I have my workers setup on the correct pool and Mon address in as PW as required.

Hi Og,
I am going to post a couple pictures tonight of the two I have.
They are just brilliant coins.  Thanks again so much.

I've sent out quite a few of these lately.  Anyone else have pictures/feedback to post?
1078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [GUIDE] GridSeed 5-Chip USB & Blade Miner Support/Tuning on: May 03, 2014, 11:18:58 PM
I like the new readout on version D.
Thanks.
So far I am not running into the slow death of hashing speed on my blades.
Great work.
I sent a tip your way.   Smiley

in the actual version of cpuminer ... the autotune feature doesn't log when it changes a per chip frequency nor the steps to go .. right?
any way to re-add that log output which showed which chip running at which freq?

Hum, does that auto tune work for the blade?
I have only used bfgminer so far with the blade unit, had issues trying to get cgminer working keeps kicking me out?

Here are my bfgminer settings, it runs around 50C right now in the basement, can run from 4.8-5.4hps max so far.

Bfgminer -S gridseed:all --set-device gridseed:clock=850:BTC=0:chips=40:modules=1:usefifo=0 --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://east1.us.stratum.dedicatedpool.com:3350 -u user -p password

Anyone have a cgminer configuration file that I can use to get this going with other mining software?

Of course it works for the Blade, it autotunes each chip individually.

Lots of fun with it so far.
Thanks for the hard work Nate.

Okay folks - just to keep you on your toes, here is Preview Release 1 of MultiMiner 3.0, with support for SHA-256, Scrypt, as well as Scrypt-Jane, Scrypt-N, and X11. There is also work underway to allow matching algorithms to arbitrary miners for further customization.

BFGMiner is still the default miner, and is still used for device detection. However, MultiMiner will now automatically download the proper backend engine if BFGMiner doesn't support the algorithm:

Another small feature coming to 3.0 that folks have been asking for:
