Hey Mass, Don't bait the big hairy troll on here too much  But seriously, you have a great project and I'm sorry for the shit you've been getting on here. Can't wait to get back in and see this idea come to fruition. Did you manage to work on the prototype/platform while waiting for the lawyers? Would be interesting to know where you are at in terms of developing the smart contracts to handle payouts and what technical things you're figuring out right now. Yes, we have been working on everything (else) we haven't just been sitting around idle |

Dude, relax. You have some serious issues. Why are you holding a grudge against the team and project? Let them do their job instead of bitching about everything in this thread. If the project ends up moving forward, then great. If they end up having to issue refunds, than that is ok too but just let them figure things out. You bitching everyday won't make things move faster.
Telling someone like them to relax is basically like telling a boiling pot of water to settle down  If they could un-meltdown they would. But they can not obviously. Just them reading what you said will make them go on more of a rant. |

Firstly we would like to thank everyone that has been waiting patiently while we've been putting in the necessary work since the release of The DAO Report. The guidelines released by the SEC have certain unclear implications and references that were outside of the scope of any of our own personal knowledge and required professional counsel. With that being said, it has been a very grueling period of time in which we've had to use personal funding, vette dozens of lawyers and firms in search of one or several that could tackle the issue at-hand, and continue with development in preparation for the future of MASS.
As promised we are remaining transparent with our investors and supporters so that everyone has an understanding of where we stand now and where we might in the near future. We have retained Losey PLLC which is comprised of multiple attorneys, each with their own focus in various areas of practice. The first steps were complete analysis of our goals, offerings and so forth so that they could have a better understanding of how if at all, our project would fall within the realm of a security, commodity, or otherwise. Following that was yet more analysis to determine what options we had that would best suit all parties involved including but not limited to our investors, any regulatory bodies of interest or concern and the project overall.
Now that both steps have been completed, we are exploring all possibilities thoroughly without any knee-jerk decisions being made in order to maintain the level of clarity and direction that we have upheld since the start in order to secure a long-lasting, legal presence within this space. Tuesday evening our team will conference in with our attorneys and discuss how we plan on moving forward. We will make another announcement following that. As of this time, we are still as mentioned already - determining which options are best. We will continue to keep everyone updated as we have any news to share and greatly appreciate the patience of our supporters.

I'll admit, I am upset. Firstly for being poorly treated in the playground by bullies. Secondly for having some obtuse stranger call me a lunatic, idiot and a liar. Thirdly for having been sold the wrong project plan. Fair reason I reckon. No?
Ran many much more complex projects to wider audiences than this. Learned my trade (getting dogs abuse face to face and on the phone) before I got the chance to do so, and thus do a good job looking after my clients now.
Never let someone cut their teeth on the most public and important projects. Pressure is too much and people snap easy.

You do not get payouts by simply holding. By your logic every coin but bitcoin is a security.
The way "the dao" paper was represented, basically every coin that has an ico is actually at least in some spectrum of being classified as a security. What we are doing is waiting for our council to guide us as to the best way to handle the current landscape as well as prepare us best for the shifting landscape of the future. Basically a security is defined loosely as any common business where there is expectation of profit, nothing to do with dividends etc really, its more about how things are structured. Even just simply using the term ICO at the moment basically starts the 'branding' of it being a security, at least in the spectrum of it. The goal is to be able to move forward with the guidance of our lawyers while not completely butchering the functionality. What you will see a lot of people going on about in chats and stuff (or when people ask why a certain token etc isn't on an exchange) is that 'it offers dividends/payouts so it is a security' That simply isn't true, people really don't understand very well what a security is, but people getting payouts doesn't make it one specifically. Although MASS is still different than that even, but that is what the lawyers are for. |

One thing is clear is that there should not be another presale or if there is, it should not be at the same terms (lower bonus) or an extra bonus provided to all existing token holders.
Those who have already invested should be rewarded for holding through this delay.
I assume that enough ETH has been received by MASS to begin any and all development necessary. Maybe an update on that can be provided?
30% was the pre-sale bonus, if the pre-sale resumes (because it was cut short early) it will have the same bonus for the remainder of it. |
