24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum Mining Power Consumption with 13 GPUs on: October 08, 2018, 07:17:22 PM
I'm using Linux ubuntu and PolarisBiosEditor to edit GPU ROM, so I use the term underwatt instead of undervolt since it only allows me to tune the power parameters like TDP and Max Power Limit. When I run the miner and read the watt output of each GPU using software read using "watch cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/0/amdgpu_pm_info", they range around 80Watt to 110 Watt consumption depending on the GPU chip set. But when I read the power consumption via multi-meter, it reads around 1,980 watt.

I underwatt some of the GPUs, some of them I can't for some reason. So either my reading (multimeter or software) is wrong or my setting is. Is there any way that I have reconfiguration on the motherboard side that causing the overdrawn power consumption? Anyone is using Ubuntu or Linux?

regards

you cant undervolt in ubuntu
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Atiflash with more than 10 GPU ? on: October 08, 2018, 07:15:15 PM
i know how to flash 13 gpu system!!!
unplug 12 gpus and flash one by one.

EZ

!!!bonus points!!! if you have some beat up old pc, use that as a test bench. just slot ur gpu that needs to be flashed in and go! this pc can be ultra portable and compact so you can put it right beside ur rig, then just take usb slider cable and powercables from testbench and plug it in!!! dont even have to move the gpu!

28  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Attic Exhausting on: September 10, 2018, 06:39:51 PM
I use 8 12v 6000rpm 120MM fans in 2 windows on each end of the room can be done in the attic mounted to ducting and plywood ~2000cfm for 8 and less than 600 watts for all 16

The air they create moves the shrubbery allot 10ft away outside lol

thats pretty bad considering you can get 3300+cfm for 180 watts using a 20inch blower on a single window. 1600rpm low pitch rumble vs screaming server fans...

I live in the NW of the states so I actually have mold issues due to moisture. My inspector said more heat and ventilation will reduce it. In a sense dry it out and air flow. The ice damming maybe an issue. Once winter is here it will be more about retaining heat, as well at night I'll just be letting the heat move into the house or look to figure a way to let it circulate through the HVAC.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcRPGQoeO9Q this video describes the winter snow on the roof problem with a hot attic.
29  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: My Plan on: September 09, 2018, 08:21:10 PM
I also found these by CAT, they might have something that suites your needs as well.

https://www.cat.com/en_US/products/new/power-systems/electric-power-generation/gas-generator-sets.html

Another bonus to the Avalons over other manufacturers at the moment is they don't always require you send your machine to them for repair. There are repair facilities available, but the design of their machines make it easy to diagnose and replace parts yourself. Here is an example of diagnosing and repairs.

he said $15k not $5M...

and if your using generators to power sensitive equipment like computers (avalons) you need AVR's in the mix, however im did sinbensol on a panel backfeed from some petro honda 6500watter and my caputers dint blow up so...

31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Airflow question about extractor fans on: August 29, 2018, 11:01:07 PM

Heat keeps radiating towards the area marked by the red circles. There's some windows that are out of view marked with pink lines. A good gush of wind always rushes threw there, the window marked with green lines has too many trees in the way for that.

The extractor fan there is rated up to 3500 cfm, but my cheapo meter with "ft/min to cfm googled calculators" only measure around 2200 cfm (dunno if the meter is crap or the fan is working really hard under load, or my math was shit?).

The mining equipment in the room is gobbling up around 7200watts of power, an assortment of gpus and antminers putting out an incredible amount of heat. It would be an inferno if the fan dint exist, however heat still slowly creep its way backwards. Is the fan just not strong enough? Or are things improperly positioned?

has anyone actually made a miner application that can run with this ?

... yes dozens of people.

no download link? no proof ?

I keep getting a crash message in Windows 10 .. Anyone have a solve for this?

Using zcashgpuclient.exe I get the following but it proceeds no further:

40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: DIY FPGA Mining rig for any algorithm with fast ROI on: May 04, 2018, 06:18:14 AM
ill ask again because people seem to not have understood me.

where
is
claymore-fpga
miner/ ?

Apparently you don't understand mining or FPGA.

Claymore has nothing to do with FPGA.  No such thing exists.

The FPGA will have it's own mining software/logic.  It has nothing to do with claymore.

where is the fpga miner... if u buy fpga its just fpga... where is the custom logic for various coins Huh where are the Files ?
