Many coins showed videos and posted videos of people making Vlogs about their project though their projects ended in the dumps. Why won't the Developer make an interview video with his face showing and displaying his work instead of screen capturing his Desktop Monitor? When the next conference Richard is going to speak at is happening, 4th of October, the whole thing will be livestreamed and recorded so one can see it. If that satisfies what you're looking for? |

On Etherscan it shows that address has the ETH in it. Have you pushed the "Transfer confirmed" button on the Electroneum website? Yes i did. And a friend of mine had the same issue, he deposited the same amount as me the same day to 0xf8E2912F81013da5A0c9E16550A413e12bcda221 but until yesterday his ETN deposit was still Pending. Now i don't know if it's confirmed but i'll ask. Please can you confirm manually? In the Requested Transactions section there is not even a button to confirm that myself. P.S. The only thing that comes to my mind is... we have purchased the ETH from Bitstamp and sent them from there directly to your ETH addresses. Was that bad ? Is that the reason why your system did not detect the transaction ? Actually in Bitstamp there was a warning that suggests it's better not to send coins to ICO addresses. But without an explanation why. I wonder how an "ICO" address is different than any normal address after all ?? I get the intent behind the coin and I can see it potentially being somewhat widespread if the app makes it easy to deal with but if there are no real world uses for the coin, how will it go up in value? Lets say millions of people download the app and use it "mine" coins. What will they then do with those coins?
They can't use them to actually pay for anything so for any real value they'd have to still open up an account and deal with an exchange which is what the coin is supposedly trying to remove, the complexity of crypto to new users. What am I missing/
The goal these guys have is to make the user experience so easy that widespread adoption occurs based on it being a smartphone app. If they garner more users than bitcoin in a relatively short period of time, the sheer size of the network will be one of the largest in the world. If they hit 5 million app downloads they will rival even bitcoin in numbers. If they can get that big, people will be using this coin for all kinds of real world liquidity. They are hoping to get big with gaming. Bitcoin had the same problem in the beginning but as adoption increased, it is now being used almost as a currency. I have said for years that the team that creates an app based system that is easy to use will change crypto. If an app like this went viral, it could get 20-50 million users which would easily make it the most widely used cryptocurrency in the world. People won't care about exchanges at that point. They will simply be transferring he value with the app itself like it was some kind of bank account. I see teens and young people flocking to this. I get what you guys are saying but downloads of a free app means nada if nothing comes of it. Once people realize that the coins they are getting have no real value to them unless they go through the hassle of opening up an account in an exchange and figuring out how to transfer funds (for the whole $5 they made after 3 months) which is already one of the major hurdles keeping people out of crypto they'll probably just move on. Electroneum claims to be the easy way but the road leads there anyways. The whole widespread usage great but the app seems nothing more than a marketing ploy when they state their target group is the gaming industry. That is a relatively small segment of society, not something that will garner widespread adoption of the masses. Even if it manages to get people interested in crypto it doesn't guarantee they'd stick with Electroneum just because it was what got them interested in the first place. Afaik Evercoin doesn't need an account open to trade, which is one of the exchanges that is, afaik, confirmed, so they could be integrated into the app and used that way. The transfer funds-hurdle will be addressed in the app as a game where you learn to do all these things, lowering the steep learning curve. No it doesn't guarantee it will stick with them, but it most likely will be their reference point later on, and their go to crypto. |

$0.01 per coin with a 21,000,000,000 supply
The ICO price puts its marketcap at $210,000,000 and if we look at coinmarketcap.com then you can see that would put Electroneum in position 31 between Golem and BAT...
5x gains would put it at p11 above OmiseGO
10x gains would put it at p7 above NEM
100x gains would put it at p3 above BCH and not far behind ETH
1000x gains would put it p1 with a marketcap 3.3x larger than Bitcoin
Come on guys you might make some gains but lets be realistic, in the current bear market I can see this dropping below ICO price. There are a lot of promising projects below p31 marketcap and I don't see what make Electroneum so much more valuable.
Actually that is not the way it is figured out because the LARGE MAJORITY of the coins are for mining. 6 billion in the crowdsale 15 billion in the ICO Zero premine for devs So, the way you would figure it out is you would take the 6 Billion in circulation and add in whatever is mined after Nov 1st the launch, and that is how you would corrrectly figure the Marketcap. But yes Electroneum will beat all those coins thru the years we would like you think. Ok I dont get it. To have $0.01 price you need to have $63 000 000 cap. Currently there is $3126462. If you will not get 63bln and enter to exchanges, what will be the price? Lower then $0.01? to get 10x it needs 630 000 000 cap to get 100x it needs 6 300 000 000 cap to get 1000x it needs 63 000 000 000 cap but it is only for crowdsale, then with 15 billion to get 10x it needs 2 100 000 000 cap to get 100x it needs 21 000 000 000 cap to get 1000x it needs 210 000 000 000 cap and values bigger than 100x seems pointless, 1ETN higher than $0.01 may be useless in microtransactions That market cap calculation is flawed. Market cap is determined by the price of the coins in circulation times the price of one coin. NOT the total amount of coins times the price of one coin. The price as it will be listed on exchanges i believe will be $0.01 and if the ICO ended now, there would be a 450 million coins times $0.01 market cap, not counting what will be mined from now on and forward. |

Total how much coin will be in Circulation ? That depends on how the ICO does. The coins from the ICO will be in circulation to start with when the ICO ends; then you can mine the 15 billion coins on desktop and you can mine from the mobile mining experience, where the unsold coins from the ICO is added to a pool that increases the gain from that experience, to reward new members and incentivize to keep it running. So in total there will be 21 billion, but that is many years ahead; if the ICO stopped right now and it went to exchanges, only 435 million, except those that will be mined from the beginning of the ICO. |

There is a mobile mining experience. What you are calling mining is just adding blocks to the blockchain and getting rewards from handling the algorithm. Here you handle a twin-algorithm that rewards you coin from running the app. That is the only difference. Likewise it calculates the amount of power your phone could potentially allocate to the app, and calculates the return based on that. So less apps running = the more payout. Don't you have better things to do, than run around spreading fud and false information in this project? I mean, i have nothing against people who are criticizing the project with informed and well thought arguments, but all you are doing in these threads is just spreading misinformation based on assumptions that are blatantly wrong or ambiguous. |

This is the first ICO I've invested in , It looks like there is a good team working on it and I can see it being a success. Problems with the iOS app is a concern though.

It just blows me away that this guy can make so much money over a gimmick. A premine and some code that distributes coins per block based on user's holdings.. reminds me of hodlcoin's block interest.
This coin does NOTHING to further crypto currency. It has zero innovation and its just here to suck $$ from its investors.

I think that electroneum project is all about building hype on our forums. Sadly I don't see it going anywhere. It is not unique or better project to me. Just another altcoin. But I will still wait which markets they are gonna launch on.

This is not surprising, the majority of ico is a fraud. I think you need to spread this information, that would be less people caught in their bait.
too many people trying to scam by using ICO. its so sad that so many ico are a scam and make people who want to invest become afraid to invest in and even lost profit cause of scam. Yes there is a lot of people trying to scam using ICOs but one need to look deep into the coin to make it clear whether you want to invest. Does electroneum already have an iOS/android app developed that is capable of mining? Mobile crypto is definitely the next logical step for this ecosystem, so hopefully these guys can pull it off.

From what I see an been told, the Electroneum team is trying to reach the masses. The advertising is all over London, but I think the coin will do reasonably well. I like how they are gamifying mining, I think it's an interesting idea. Best case scenario, if this brings more people into the crypto community then it's a win win for everybody.

probably not a scam, but whether invest in it will bring positive income will remain unknown as the supply is quite big at the moment.
The unsold coins from the ICO will go into the mobile mining experience pool, and the remaining 15 billion coins will be mined; so when this baby hits the exchange, what the market cap will be, is only the coins people have from the ICO, and then they can start mining. Right now it's just over 375 million coins. |
