Horus, when was the last time you spoke with Paul? Do you have any means of contacting him? Do we even know it was actually Paul E Vernon posting on that blog?

Paul is actually only with access to that blog ( that I know of )

Three simple questions seeking simple answers, yet the only one addressed was the one we least cared about. What are the odds?

Alright, Last time I spoke to Paul was asking when he was going to announce the second announcement he mentioned in the phishing blog post.

He said within a couple days.  Only means of contact I have with Paul is through skype. And I rarely get an answer there. I never really had to speak with him directly as my bosses could handle most of my issues.

Are you fucking kidding me? Skype? that's it? Not even his phone number or something? Do you guys not even have an internal chat server or something?

nah but vpn's are mandated

The responses in this thread all hinge around its monetary value. I don't know why i expected anything else. The answer is the community.  Embarrassed

Well fuck.... I don't even know what to say...

I found out about the blog post when a customer called me and told me it was up. I found that irritating to say the least....

Again, I never worked with any wallets, had access to any wallets or any code. I ran investigations and customer end security ( like 2fa and getting back into hacked accounts)

This is a really shitty situation. I understand people are upset and have every right to be. I admit, I drank the koolaid and when people told me things were alright, I believed them whole heartedly.  I don't know code or hardware at all, so when I was told it was a technical issue, I had faith.

Now I just look like an asshole for believing it, and for that I do apologize. Since I heard about this, Ive been sifting through dozens of emails from people with "tips" and it is exhausting to say the least. Although I am no longer paid by Cryptsy, I feel an obligation to try me best to help locate coins, whoever may have them.

In the mean time I don't mind trying to answer any questions I can and I know trolls are gonna troll hard at the moment. I'd be trolling too so I can't blame them.

I've always tried to help people since starting at Cryptsy and I find it a real shame it's come to an end like this.

I believe you. I also believe that Mullick did nothing wrong too. He had no business being responsible for the security of wallets, which is how i've always felt. Bare mimimum C++ expertise is required. People don't realize how easy it is to obfuscate C++. many of the backdoor's ive seen i wouldn't even have known they were there without someone pointing out the use of a disguised Macro. Hopefully future exchanges will hire an actual expert.

There was only one "No" (I assume it was OP?), or something around 3% yesterday and now look at this: the apocalypse happened! Mike Hearn is leaving us! Fire in the hole! Everyone fall back!

I said that my interest had waned ( and gave no indication if that was still the case ).
I did not state that i did not believe in Bitcoin, and most importantly the Dev Team.

Neg his fucking ass already ..how many times do i have to say it ?

Finally, the whole world will learnt what a scammer and thief Paul Vernon is thanks to finally posting neg trust on his Trust Thingy.

In case you missed the sarcasm, and I know you missed it because ... wait for it ... ALL THAT'S PENNED IN THE TRUST SECTION OF THIS FORUM IS NOT INDEXED BY ANY SEARCH ENGINE ON THE INTERNET. Pretty amazing, eh?

Don't believe me, take any abbreviated phrase of anybody's negative trust, put quotes around it, and Google it. Results: 0!

this scam accusation is though.

Mullick vanished after lipping me off after Cryptsy staff DOXX'd me on this topic months ago..

HIS LAST FORUM COMMENT

Want to Dox me ? You can't.. i already did it myself LOL

I have no clue how your information made it onto the web. If I had to guess it would be the above

I expected you to say that precisely.

Predictable shit.. as always LOL

edit:
And a reminder people..
i told you on this topic i never gave that info to anyone.. except Cryptsy.
so...

Your appearance here is a typical example of "the pot calling the kettle black"
What happened? Was spoetnikcoin not listed at cryptsy?  You and BitJohn were such a close friends.... (see link below)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=833442.msg9323172#msg9323172

It was then that I realized that cryptsy was runned by scammers.. (see same link).
A year ago one could recognize the cryptsy scammers by their cryptsy logo in their avatars. Unfortunately a lot of them (including spoetnik has changed their avatar).

Edit:
I saw in this thread also a few references to CAPS (a coin created by Mullic and called by many an "in house cryptsy scam coin" and scammed by BitJohn). In the following thread some background information about CAPS:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=860379.msg9609654#msg9609654

Spoetnik has secrets, but he wasn't ever involved with cryptsy. in fact, from the day i signed up at cryptsy, spoetnik was already there harrassing people and being generally intolerable. Not sure if he had a good hunch, or he just threw shit at the wall to see what would stick, but he was right here. this might be the only time he's been right. Great Job Diabeetus Welfare Sleuth. What would the world do without you

I joined up over here in 2012-13. At the time it seemed like a way to make a quick buck. Overtime as i read about it more and more, i became interested in the freedom it provides. As time has went on however, my interest and belief in bitcoin have waned. I won't get into the details of why, but i'm wondering what your honest opinion of bitcoin is, with a simple vote, and possibly an explanation.

I want to address the people in this thread who have been pointing their fingers at Mullick. First of all, Nick is a great person, and is probably one of the more honest people i've met in Crypto. Second of all, Mullick never has had access to the BTC wallets. This is a fact. Mullicks responsibility is a Server admin of the Altcoin Wallets and nothing more. So when you accuse Mullick of jumping and running with customer funds, you only make yourself look uninformed. You are only hanging an innocent person out to dry. Now back to your scheduled trolling.
33  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: CRYPTSY stopping withdraw locking accounts without notifying users! Class Action on: January 13, 2016, 11:18:25 PM
What about the scenario of BigVern goes to China, sells the code to make the new site I will call "Chintzy", while posters here have found that they left code from the real Cryptsy site. So could this code that was left in the open leave Cryptsy vulnerable to even get a list to Phish with? Or could they have been hacked easier after the setup of the new Chintzy site plugged in code that allowed the hack of user funds? Timing is very suspicious.

The phishing does sound fishy though, good points from other posts...

How do we know that they had sold the code though? has a member of the company confirmed it? if not, its possible that the code was stolen in a hack as well as user funds from hot wallets.

@rossh174:the court has frozen wallets until divorce case is resolved - its not a scew up in that sense
timotheederetz126

This is the real reason, folks.  Roll Eyes Tongue Roll Eyes

Give me a sec while I glean ONE example from thousands off the Internet depicting how an enterprise was put on hiatus while its owner was going through a divorce preceding, with the counter-party not having any vested interested in the endeavor.

Unemployment Office: Reason for being laid off?
Furloughed Worker: Bob, the owner of the company, was getting divorced from his Asian wife, Alice, hence the immediate locking of Bob's company's doors, not even giving me enough time to withdraw my lunch pail from my locker.
Unemployment Office: Sadly, there's thousands of examples like your case. Unemployment insurance approved. Here's to hopin' you'll soon be united with your lunch pail.
Unemployment Office: Next!
Crypto Dude: Not sure if I qualify, but Paul Vernon... Stop me if you're heard this one before.

whatever happened to the guy who ran Inputs.io and Coinlenders? something tells me he's having a field day in this thread..

If a bank account is frozen, are you still allowed to remove things from the safe deposit box?

Ever heard that slayer song from Season in the abyss ?

"we have been waiting for you.. for a long time"

I sure haven't. I'm not big on Metal tbh.

So you decided to grace us with a cameo eh r3wt star.. Ahmed was telling me recently you out of the huslin' game

Seem's like a very liberal interpretation of this conversation:

Admit it though you been lurking this topic haven't you ?
No, but i am now.

Let's make a list of cryptsy "War criminals". Not the following orders types (ie. Horus). Horus was openly willing to quit if Cryptsy couldn't explain itself. People that obviously have probably known about this for that last two months and didn't lift a finger to help Cryptsy customers.

First off, I nominate JSHOCK that donkey fucking piece of shit. These people cannot be tolerated in the crypto industry. Consider your ass blackballed. Donkey fucker.

Mullick, what's your part in this? You manage the wallets. When did you know and what were you told. It's time to come clean if you want anyone to with you in the future.

I haven't heard from Mullick since september, and we were pretty good friends at one point. I doubt he will reply here.

Mullick doesn't need to reply. If he has half a brain he'll grab the private keys and pull a runner. He can sort it out later. Until he taps into them, he has leverage and he hasn't committed a crime.

at one point in time, their cold wallets were on thumb drives in a safe deposit box. i doubt that's changed. if their assets are really frozen, they are operating with only hot wallets right now.

When you asked for investment, you calculated it in terms of USD after calculating server costs and costs of living which you mentioned on thread too.

If bitcoin had gone up to $3000 each, you would have surely opted for payment in USD but because it went down to $250, you prefer paying in btc.

I want the principal sum invested returned back in original USD terms or more. Do not send any more payments if you disagree.

Ok. That is fair. We need to come to some type of agrement on how much is paid and how much is still owed.

Thanks for payments up to now.  Wink

Any news??  Grin

News:

I'm making about 24k a year at a startup, which is barely getting by. I'm wiped out right now due to Christmas but i should be able to resume payments in february. We pitch our app in February, so with a bit of luck maybe i can do this all in one shot and we can all go home and relax. I am going to try to stay online more often in the forum, and keep you guys updated. i will update the thread when i send the next payment.
