21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin season started again? on: August 15, 2021, 09:15:10 PM
Current news and developments in the market are very positive. There are new directions that are spreading and will explode in the future. Personally, I think maybe around September we will see the bull market again.
Fundamentally the market is bullish, there are tons of good news coming out lately, this simply indicates we will see new high prices which Indicates the continuous movement of the bull run, I think things may likely play out as it did last year, at the end of the year we might experience a strong bull run, it's certain no one can predict the price movement perfectly but from the look of things the market still remains bullish.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Suggestions for Long-Term Investment on: August 15, 2021, 09:07:46 PM
Do your own research and don't just rely on only one article that said that the prices of the said coins will be good. Do your own research on each coin and also, how do you know that this coin will yield a good profit margin, what's the basis for that, what's your evidence? There should be an evidence right?
DYOR is very much important, taking the hype of people in consideration without taking  out time to confirm things for your self will bring noting but failed investment, there is every need to confirm every news heard before taking action, make sure you got a vital reason for investing in a coin or project. Most project just launch with a good marketing strategy and sell off without any utility, such project or coin won't last. Researches helps us to choose the best and remain profitable.
23  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: About the popularity of Bitcoin on: August 15, 2021, 08:51:31 PM
If they are blind or incapacitated elderly people, they will have guardians around them. This is the blind person's own problem, not the flaw of Bitcoin. I don't think Bitcoin can solve this kind of physiological problem that doctors can't do.
For the blind to use the paper money is somehow complicated to them, there can't know the exact amount of currency they hold, it will definitely be someone around who will help them out, if there can struggle with these how about bitcoin which is a digital currency, how would there go about it, to me bitcoin isn't for the blind because it will only make things worse for them.
24  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Understanding how the market tricks you and how to prepare against such tricks. on: August 15, 2021, 08:31:47 PM
The market plays so much with our emotions, the more we learn to trade without our emotions the better for us, and also don't just trade without a strategy, it's very easy to place a trade Buh determining the take profit becomes the issue, I think it's better to set a target and once you hit your target close the trade and never look back because sometimes the market might be decietful.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you recommend staking? on: August 14, 2021, 11:06:44 PM
I was looking at staking my ethereum. The interest rate seems good and I found BlockFi.com which seems to be around 10% (not guaranteed rate though). Is there a risk of losing coins and is staking recommended? For Ethereum, which site pays the highest APR and is the most reliable/safest?

Thanks!
Staking your Ethereum is good imo, the only problem is that the return ain't that much just 10% APY, I would have adviced you to try staking other altcoins on another DeFi platform, the only downside is that DeFi platforms that offer high APY's are usually prone to rug pull or getting hacked and I wouldn't want you to get in the middle of it since DeFi platforms are targeted by hackers recently, stake your eth if your planning to hold for long term you could earn some rewards for doing so.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I know if an altcoin is a scam? on: August 14, 2021, 10:46:40 PM
Hello, I'm new here and I wanted to ask something I've been confused about for a few days.

I recently got into an altcoin (called startup boost token) and the devs are doxxed and presale LP locked, they claim to have live use case and all.

I want to know how I can determine / what kind of questions I should be asking to know if its a real 100x token? Any advice?
Few ways to stop losing money? Stop looking for x100 token cause you only end up been fooled by these scammers that pose to be legot devs, to identify a scam project is not that easy like it use to be before since scammers know people no longer fall for their tricks, now they create projects and try to gain the trust of the investors while still staying anonymous, once they gain it they will rug pull when there's enough money in the liquidity, afford new projects for now, buy top coins and stay safe.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do I still have a chance to get profit? on: August 14, 2021, 10:25:44 PM
I hope you invested only what you can afford to lose cuz from the way I see this, the project/coin doesn't look promising at all, waiting for over 2years and yet the coin still doesn't have a price? It's not about the team being active on telegram when you take too long to build a project it might end up dying cuz all the hypes have faded away, it's better to just move on cuz it doesn't seem like the team is serious taking 2years+ to build an exchange is just too long.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: how can i find alt coins before they explod on: August 14, 2021, 10:18:12 PM
so i havent invested anything in crpto YET (idk i want to see if bitcoin goes down lol il probly invest a bit into bitcoin and eth now tho) so yea as the title says how can i find alt coins that havent blown up.

ps im a total newb so any tips will be welcomed and thanked!  Smiley
Would advice you stick to coins which are well known by the crypto community e.g btc, eth, ltc, looking for altcoins that go 100x will only get you rekt, I have a few friends who have been rekt by these meme coins, becuz they saw the likes of Shiba, dogecoin, safemoon etc pumping they decided to buy whatever shitcoin that came their way, after the market dumped badly their shitcoins holdings dropped massively - 90% and I don't think they can recover from it, lastly there's no place to see altcoins before they explode.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PolyNetwork Hacked, $600 million Lost on: August 14, 2021, 10:08:42 PM
Today I read the news of the most shocking events at https://www.reuters.com/technology/defi-platform-poly-network-reports-hacking-loses-estimated-600-million-2021-08-11/ namely news about The biggest hack in the history of the crypto industry.
A cryptocurrency platform has lost about $600 million in digital tokens after one of the biggest hacking attacks in the sector, according to details of the theft that emerged on Wednesday.
Why this event can happen so as to create space for hackers, it's really unfortunate

I think this should be the biggest DeFi hack of all time, lucky for them the hacker is a white hat hacker, else he wouldn't have returned all those money he looted, but gosh $600 million is a whole lot of money to steal, its just way too big for anyone to change to fiat, I don't know what we really need to do for DeFi platforms to stop getting hacked, this is getting out of hand.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DYOR also needs your input on: August 13, 2021, 10:59:44 PM
One of the most important thing on this space is to always DYOR because it will really help you go a long way choosing the best project to jump on, the coins you mentioned are good tho and am familiar with Dego finance, I can remember people made alot from that token, after listing price pumped real good, due to market conditions price is down and it's a good time to buy, the coin looks very promising.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Number of altcoins keep increasing! on: August 13, 2021, 10:54:05 PM
The fact there is anyone can just create a coin shill with much hype and good marketing boom the coin will sell out but most importantly it's good to know that coins with good use cases are the real MVP because the usability of the coin is what boost it's price and in a bear market coin like this can still be doing very well as far the token is still fulfilling it's purpose of creation and people are still buying.

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a bad time for altcoins? on: June 27, 2021, 06:34:40 PM
Some quality projects need enough time to developed. Strong project can bear the great pressure particularly during bloody time where shitcoins could be in doom. When bull run they may fly x20 or greater depends on the updates and market condition.
Quality projects takes alot of time to build before coming out, an example of such project is dfinity, the project took over 2years plus before the mainnet was launched and at the launch it was listed on all top exchanges in the crypto space, quality projects can withstand the bloody times because they have an incentive to pump later on, whilst meme coins will be in dooms day because they actually have nothing good to offer other than being a gamble coin.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH or Bitcoin which is best. on: June 27, 2021, 05:13:24 PM
Bitcoin and ethereum are the strongest influence on cryptocurrencies, all eyes will certainly make bitcoin and ethereum the benchmark for crypto prices, both are good coins, but in my opinion ethereum is a coin that promises more profit than bitcoin.
on the other hand the price of ethereum is more affordable than bitcoin, we
just waiting for the bitcoin trend to start dimming and we will see ethereum go back up
You can't compare both because bitcoin is a breakthrough of centuries, there was no digital currency until bitcoin was invented, Ethereum was just invented to improve some things and bring more innovation to the crypto space, both are great coins and started below a dollar and today they are worth a alot of money, also whether you like it or not eth or other altcoins will always follow bitcoin trend, it's never going to stop.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why meme coin is crashing on: June 27, 2021, 04:46:09 PM

why

does Dogecoin price up again ? Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

honestly , I am sacred to buy any meme coin ,such as SHIB ,Doge  Cry
You should very scared of buying coins that has no utility or incentive to make it pump in the future, buying meme coins is very dangerous cause there's no real project behind it, when it's time to fall it always falls almost 100%, if I were you I would stay far away from this meme coins because they are nothing but pump and dump coins/tokens, I only invest in coins with good utility not this shitcoins.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are meme tokens dangerous or moon on: June 26, 2021, 10:58:58 PM
This is a thread where we will discuss meme tokens that are unrugable and which can moon. We will detail steps to avoid being scammed. We will discuss signs that a token is going to moon. We will give updates on our offical meme token Jomon Shiba aka $JSHIBA.
Thanks for the offer, but I don't see shitcoins as moon coins rather I see them as shitcoins which can easily turn any investor broke within a few days, also this meme coin you are advertising looks like one of those meme coins people should be weary off, cause your type don't last long in the market just a few days and then you guys will probably rug pull and run away with Investors money, meme coin are dangerous to invest in, it's a chance I won't like to take.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk made tweet about animal coin again. Time to buy doge and Shiba Inu? on: June 26, 2021, 10:49:14 PM
I think it's about time time you guys stop seeing tweets from Elon Musk as a buy sign to buy or sell, it will only get them more Rekt than they are now, I think Elon Musk is fully aware that his tweets makes the market go green and he still keeps manipulating it, especially with these meme coins around, so many people are now rekt during this dump, all because they decided to buy and hold dogecoin thinking it was going to reach $1,which it didn't and now the price has dropped massively,YOU GUYS SHOULD JUST STOP BUYING SHITCOINS.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: No One Can Shut Down Bitcoin on: June 26, 2021, 04:59:12 AM
Truly no one can shutdown bitcoin, it has  grown beyond that space. Bitcoin is being held by many people all over the world and there truly believe in it and also so many big investors and companies has interest in bitcoin as well because of the profit there derive from it so no matter the situation no one can shut down bitcoin, in the past years bitcoin has faced so many challenges which it overcame so no matter the FUD created bitcoin will survive it's sure and certain.
39  Economy / Economics / Re: Why don't banks work with cryptocurrency? on: June 26, 2021, 04:43:16 AM
Well i think the more reason why the banks don't work with cryptocurrency is because there see crypto as a threat to their banking system, crypto solves alot of problems in the banking system in which this makes banks feel crypto will take all of their customers and instead of them to accept the facts that crypto is good enough when it comes to transaction across countries there discriminate crypto and only talks about the bad side of crypto without looking out for the advantages involved.
40  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money the root of all evil as the poor to thinks? on: June 26, 2021, 04:35:08 AM
When there say money is the root of all evil doesn't really means that money is evil and won't be used or touched because same Bible still told us money answereth all things, so i think it's just an idiom which simply tells us how people is ready to do so many dirty things in order to make money which is very bad, in our world today people cheat, kill, lie and do all sort of bad things in other to make money this is why there is a saying that money is the root of all evil but that doesn't mean money won't be made because it's evil.
