22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in Binance coin on: February 20, 2018, 05:54:15 AM
Investing in binance coin is like investing in a company asset. As long as the exchange works fine, this investment is a good option, but if one day, this exchange gets seriously hacked, binance coin will be worth nothing, so as always, don't put all your eggs on the same bag  Wink

Anyway this burning can create a hype effect, so the value could rise, without thinking the fact supply will be lowered.
24  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency Market Capitalizations are misleading on: February 19, 2018, 05:34:40 PM
Yes, there was an article somewhere who was refering about this some weeks ago. This article stated that there was around 10bn$ really invested in crypto. This is much lower and can be reassuring for the potential market cap growt we can expect  Smiley 10bn$ is still a low amount invested, that's why we can still consider we are in the early days.

Anyway this is the same for crashes, we don't need hundreds billions $ to crash the price, much lower is enough.

e/ : just found the article from my olders posts : http://jamescrypto.com/the-difference-between-inflow-and-market-cap-and-how-it-relates-to-tethers/
25  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you trust chart analysts? on: February 19, 2018, 05:59:23 AM
I would say I trust these charts a bit like the meteo   Tongue Charts are great to see the trend but we can't give 100% of our faith on it.

I trust these a bit, but I try to make a summary of some charts to see what is the general trendline. Everyone has is own opinion and cannot be fully objective, especially when the chart targets a small altcoin, that's why we must do our own research and opinion. Checking charts from some people and not only one can be a part of this research  Smiley

That can be valuable with yourself too, don't only trust yourself, as sometimes our own vision is blinded by what we want to see.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Waveswallet hacked 126544 WCT stolen. Please help me! on: February 18, 2018, 08:23:28 PM
This is why i keep all my coins at the exchange. Hacking is not only the 1 problem. What about burglary, fire or anything else ? I keep my coins at binance and kucoin.

Do you think that keeping your coins in an exchange wallet is a good idea? IMO, it is the worst decision you can take with your crypto-investments. If you keep your coins in the exchanges, then the risks multiply by twofold. In addition to the risk that someone can hack in to your account, there is the additional risk that the exchange can vanish with all of your coins.

You think binance will do that ? the answer is NO. I see so many have problems with hardware wallets. Hack, sync problems and the list goes on. If you not trust your exchange why even think about trading there ? by the way i use Google Authentication

Sorry to say that but almost all exchanges has been hacked in the past, so Binance will not be an exception. Of course not all exchanges closes their doors when it get hacked, it depends of the amount hacked. Sometimes, you don't even know directly that an exchange has been hacked, and problems occurs only once insolvability is discovered  Cheesy

Do you really prefer give your trust in somebody else than you for holding your money ? Seems like you're not here since a long time.

Google auth doesn't protect Binance' wallet  Wink So your coins aren't protected by your double authentification.

To protect you from fire, you just need to store a backup in another place from where you live, and for burglary, just hide the fact you own cryptocurrencies (Btw if someone points a gun to rob you, if you have these coins on an exchange or in a private wallet doesn't change anything), and encrypt your wallet.

@giovanni83 : sorry for your loss, but we can't do anything for that   Sad

28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why the market bleeding again? on: February 18, 2018, 10:14:37 AM
You just have to learn the market doesn't need positive or negative news to rise or drop  Wink
In fact these positive or negative news are just pure invention from users who has to believe in a reason when something happens. Let's see if we wait more, if a negative news will be annouced as "reason to this drop" Cheesy

We hit a resistance level at ~11k USD and we didn't break it, so currently, the market drops. We can't predict the future but that wouldn't be surprising to see another attempt to break it soon.
29  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will a legalized bitcoin work or look like on: February 18, 2018, 09:53:23 AM
I dont understand what you mean by legalized because I dont remember bitcoin to be illegal.

Be careful with that, not legalized doesn't mean it's illegal, but it means it's not officialy supported by a country. That's with this confusion that some FUD news cread a panic crash recently (India "Ban").

A legalized bitcoin would mean it's officialy supported by the country, and for that, this country has to regulate the system. This would be done by doing a system where you declare your cryptocurrencies wallets, an official trusted exchanges list and some rules to follow. This would help for the mainstream adoption, but this would reduce our freedom.
Some stricts countries could make illegal the fact of owning private wallets, or owning anonymous currencies, or even using decentralized exchanges or not trusted.

We can avoid these rules as cryptocurrencies cannot be fully regulated but cashing out would be harder as we would have to justify from where our money is from.

31  Economy / Economics / Re: 2018 Central Exchange - 2019 Decentralized Exchanges on: February 16, 2018, 09:36:14 AM
Yeah I follow you a bit. Decentralized exchanges are progressing well and they could replace centralized soon. Currently, they are still slow and cannot handle enough transactions per seconds to compete with centralized ones, and most of them doesn't have enough trading pairs to satisfy everyone.
This will not happen this year, but as regulations are coming, some people will try to avoid KYC and others regulations effects so decentralized exchanges will be an asile for all of them.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Trading - Is it just me or happens to everyone? on: February 16, 2018, 09:25:25 AM
This already happened a lot of times to me. A lot of years ago, I invested in Karma coin (a truely shitcoin, yeah  Cheesy), the price dropped to 10 litoshis. For those who don't know what is a litoshi, it's the satoshi of litecoin. I decided to sell once it reached 20 litoshi, I was happy because I recovered a bit from my loss, but I was still at loss. Then the price skyrocketed to 600 litoshis. Damn.

I had it more recently with LSK. Invtested at 40k sat, the price dropped to 10-20k, I dedided to get back my investment once it came back to 40k as it didn't progress much more. Then the price skyrocketed 4 or 5 times higher, don't remember exactly  Cheesy

Anyway if you didn't get any loss this is not a real problem, it's just a small waste of time.

I'm quite sure everyone has at least one situation of this kind.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High PoS reward coins, a scam coin? on: February 16, 2018, 09:11:49 AM
Don't consider all of theses as a scam, but it creates high inflation rates so if no new investors enters in the market, the price per coin will quickly drop, but it's a bit the same with mining. In the first years, PoW coin which starts from 0 coins have an high inflation rate too.

In my opinion, this is dangerous to invest in this kind of coin as it's impossible to see these as store of value, and if a project takes years to progress, the price will drop for sure.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've been robbed now I'm afraid to access my coins: how to proceed? on: February 16, 2018, 06:27:08 AM
Seems like you were already careful with security, this is where your story is a bit scary as it can happen to everyone of us. Same question as others, what is this key generator ?

Maybe this generator just pick their private keys not truely generated from a database and the hacker just has to check these addresses. I never heared of a bios attack in cryptocurrencies, or I missed something and even, if this machine is always offline, the hacker couldn't receive any datas.

For generating keys, I still prefer using a classic software wallet (like bitcoin core). At least, you can trust this software. This is not the first story we hear about a compromised key generator. The last one was with a Iota key generator : https://news.bitcoin.com/iota-attacked-for-subpar-wallet-security-following-4m-hack/
35  Local / Mining et Hardware / Re: Durée de vie des GPU on: February 15, 2018, 06:37:28 PM
Hello,

36  Economy / Economics / Re: Map of the internet in 1973, or why Bitcoin will be worth $millions on: February 15, 2018, 03:06:13 PM
I would say Bitcoin will follow e-mail success more than internet itself. Even if I love the concept to compare bitcoin and internet, bitcoin is just a layer of internet as email is, it's a possible usage of internet, that's why we can't directly compare with it.
Internet is a converged network where we can easily split some layers like websites, TV & video streaming, emails, live chatting, video games, and now cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin was like the missing layer for finance in internet.

Of course email had success a bit like internet so that doesn't contradict your opinion about a future mass adoption Smiley

I'm always wondering something : we compare bitcoin and internet, but we don't compare it with failed projects. Does someone knows a project that was a bit like bitcoin or internet and which failed ? It could be interesting to see why it failed.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The Next 10x - 50x Coin - Binance on: February 15, 2018, 08:01:33 AM

After a weak first month, RedPulse seems to be awakened, first ICO on Neo, with new highs every day

At the moment only on Kucoin exchange and is worth about $ 130 million but if it comes on big exchanges like Binance, Chinese and Koreans will pump it and it will be easy x10-x20  Wink

i think there will be no more 10x 50x in this world again. last month everybody took  a good lesson. again they wont make this mistake again.

No, we'll see some others coins rising on this range for sure. But this would be surprising to see a coin already listed on binance doing a x50. Most of these coins are harder to get, with less volume and a smaller market cap and are not listed on popular exchanges yet.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How the cryptomarket works? on: February 15, 2018, 07:58:16 AM
As almost all cryptocurrencies are only indexed in BTC and for a few of these in ETH too, the market follow BTC trend in USD. To get a better view of the market, you have to check prices in BTC, it's easier on this way to see rising projects.

When a coin rise alone, this is mostly due of rumors or before a great news. Remember that in most case, once the news is released, people starts to sell and it's already too late.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone heard of skycoin? on: February 15, 2018, 07:50:04 AM
I heared about it some years ago but unfortunately I forgot to follow closer this project  Undecided I remember it was really promising.
40  Local / Hors-sujet / Re: Arnaque on: February 14, 2018, 06:08:28 AM
