I know that all your choices are thoughtful, so what are the reasons that encourages you to make masternodes for cloakcoin? And do you have any idea how many cloakcoins it will take to do that? I need to know if I have to buy Cloakcoin as long as it is cheap? Thank you again for this promotional campaign. It could be 1k / 5k /10k Cloak several tiers nodes for different services. But we don't have any concrete plan yet. They will have special tasks what exactly i don't want to share yet. Will these nodes have to be trusted and only in the hands of a "few"? Will the coin continue to function without these nodes? we will present our thoughts after open source then we / community can discuss that. |

Ich habe mir im Cloak Ordner eine "cloakcoin.conf" angelegt mit einem "datadir=D:\Coins\CloakCoin" eintrag, leider ladet der neue Client 2.x die Blockchain bei jedem Start neu???
Ist das ein Bug im neuen Client?

Moin, ja es sieht tatsächlich so aus das es einen bug in wallet gibt mit diesem config. Ich habe es an unsere developer weiter geleitet wird dann in nächsten version behoben. Lösung für jetzt ist: 1. Download blockchain in C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\CloakCoin\ 2. Kopiere diese files in D:\Coins\CloakCoin 3. Dann Eintrag in C:\Users\xxx\AppData\Roaming\CloakCoin\CloakCoin.conf -> datadir=D:\Coins\CloakCoin4. Starte Wallet es wird mekern er will neue blockchain downloaden sage NEIN. 5. Neue wallet sieht dann die Blcokchain in D:\Coins\CloakCoin unstartet von da. peace and love cashmen Kann das wär Bestätigen das der selbe BUG bei der neuen Wallet noch immer vorhanden ist? der BUG wurde in letzten wallet beseitigt. der wallet befindet sich momentan im test aber wird schon sehr bald annonciert Gruß cash |

worrying so many pinning hopes on a huge amount of incoming interest because of going open source..
I hope you wont all be disappointed.
To me if enigma works well and can be vetted by a couple of top devs that is all you need.
If the enigma engine is really a big improvement over dash and mixing/shuffling or is rather an advanced better process then you will simply witness 50 other cloaks in short order.
If you believe people are not investing because it is closed source then you might be wrong.
Bring forth a decentralised governance and funding mechanism and you will see more interest.
I guess we'll wait and see but i think it could be a double edged sword.
I share you thoughts but after 3 years closed source we decide to go open source way. Of cause there is always risk to be copy. We choose this way and we will see what will happend. There is always some points what speaking for open source and what speak against it. PS: Dont forgert that we have very talented, smart and motivated fulltime device "Joe" i always belive in him and he proof me this 3 years that i was right with my hope in his talent. To copy a CODE is easy but it is not so easy to understand ENIGMA and i am sure there is not so many CODERs there like "Joe". So let enigma copy we are not worry about. We also plant to continue work on ENIGMA and new parts and projects in CODE. The copier would be always behind us. peace and love is a KEY dont forget fear is opposite of it! As someone who's been "around" Cloak since Bob dumped all over us, this coin has to go open source. Not doing so and/or obfuscating just says it can never be trusted and has something to hide. Once the source is out there, there also needs to be a very serious code review done by some well respected developers (that don't have any stigma of controversy swirling around them). There's far too much bad history behind Cloak to not have any of this happen. As for others copying it.. Well, I'll be brutal. If Cloak can't progress, compete and be better than any copies, then it deserves to die. Just like any other product/company out there in any industry. I would like to see Cloak succeed after all the crap that's gone on but it should do so in a straight up "fight" in order to "prove" itself as a real contender. @c4shm3n. I've got to give you props for sticking with this. There's been a few times where I've wanted to come in here and post some negative stuff about the progress but your perseverance is an asset to the coin and, quite frankly, the only reason it still exists. Dear Cloak Community
We're currently working on the v2.0.1.2 wallet release (QT and Daemon), which will be ready in a few days.
We're also in the process of preparing a Raspberry Pi build of the Cloak wallet, which will play an important part in our future plans as the Cloak project moves forward.
In addition to the software updates, we're also putting the finishing touches to our roadmap, which will lay out the exciting steps ahead for the project over the coming months.
The roadmap will be released in a few days (once our artists have worked their presentation magic).
We'd like to take this opportunity to welcome all the new names and faces that have joined the Cloak family. A warm welcome to one and all! 
Team Cloak has also been considerably bolstered of late, with several new members who have already made some great contributions in terms of artwork,
economic principles and network governance plans. We'll explain all this in more detail in the forthcoming roadmap.
A big hello to the old faces who returned to the Cloak community - it's great to have you all back with us...
As many of you are aware, the current Team Cloak is comprised of previous members of the wider Cloak community. Over the previous few years, we've remained entirely self-funded while carrying out the work to make good on the promises of the previous team. We feel we're in a very good position now and are making significant plans for the road ahead. Joe (r3r), our lead developer has been doing the recent Cloak work around his regular development work, but we all feel it's now time for Joe to work full-time on the Cloak project so that he can give his full focus and really help take Cloak to the next level. Our first priority as we move forward is to open source the Cloak project! We feel this is critical for Cloak's future as it gives scope for greater peer review, public code contributions and will also allow the community to follow Cloak's development much more closely. There have of course been some concerns expressed in terms of Cloak 'clones' being created, but we are not particularly concerned by this prospect as immitation is afterall the highest form of flattery. In all seriousness, we have a very strong and talented team behind the project and our exciting plans for the future should work out well for everyone involved in Cloak.
The next major Cloak wallet release will be v2.1.0.0. This version will coincide with Cloak's open sourcing. We are aiming to have this release ready within the next 3 months. There are quite a few things to address for the open sourcing of the project. We'll be conducting an internal security review of the code to ensure there are no exposed attack surfaces for denial-of-service attacks which could disrupt the network. CloakShield and Enigma have both been extended recently and functionality has changed somewhat since the audit conducted by Iain Craig in 2015. We also have some code-cleanup/refactoring to do in preparation for the source release as well as preparation of accompanying documentation which will also need to be ready at the same time. We are very open to the prospect of a new audit style review of Enigma and CloakShield during this time period and if anyone has connections to experienced and trusted cryptocurrency developers who would like to be involved, please get in touch. We have been taking steps internally to arrange something of this nature, but suggestions from the community are as always gratefully received. We are confident that Enigma keeps all funds 100% secure, but appreciate that additional peer review is always desirable.
A Cloak portal site is being created to compliment the roadmap. The portal site will be used to track progress and funding as well as detailing new features or enhancements. In the meantime, Joe has set up a Bitcoin address for those wishing to contribute towards development so that he can focus on Cloak full-time. Team Cloak will of course be helping to contribute to costs wherever we can. Our aim is to raise at least 10 BTC to cover Joe's work for the next 6 months while we work against the items of the roadmap and open source the project. Bitcoin donations are preferred where possible.

Hello Community,
Joe (r3r), our lead developer did an interview with Bill Still on Friday for The Still Report.
