Where were all of you with your knowledge when it was flat for 2 years (2015-2016)? Classic: Detractors show up only when price spikes.
Reality is that facts are starting to flow in:
- new website (after 3 years of quiet)
- 2 exchangers and one more by weeks now (there has been a period with only 1 exchanger, and I think to remember zero exchangers in 2015 for some months)
- growing interest on the forum and here
- DevTeam is alive - a major event is supposed to happen Aug 1st

Oh, and no skandals for one of the  few "survival" to the 1st wave of cryptos, now 4.5 year old..... unless you consider skandal some few stuck transactions, which happens for every crypto, BTC included.

Wow, this community is pretty bitter. Good communities don't respond this way. We are asking good questions because we want this coin to thrive -- not just be a p&d. I'm invested in this coin and have been before the spike. If you can't look ahead and the dev team is not up to the challenge of mass adoption, this coin will be abandoned (I'm not saying this is the case). A good community recognizes these challenges and looks to address them, not shut down any critical evaluations or concerns.

Hello Midnightrun,

Thank you for your questions and please accept my sincerest apologises if you are not getting the answers you are seeking via this forum.  Please feel free to email our FastCoin Foundation team members at info@fastcoin.ca.  Most of our community members are well meaning and sometimes this forum may not be the best place to communicate that loyalty and enthusiasm.

Thanks again for your questions as we look forward to your email reply.

Sincerely

Cheetahx

Hello everyone and thank you again to Guido and the rest of the community members for all of your continued support and constructive criticism.

I wanted to give an update to many of you who have been patiently waiting for a post on the progress of our coin.  For those of you who have been following us on Twitter and Facebook you can see the community continue to build and we did post an exciting event that will be announced on Aug 1st, 2017.  This was further documented with our video provided on our YouTube Channel, for those of you who have not seen the video you can view it here....

With respects to the Block Explorer, we have been in constant communication with the team at Block Experts https://www.blockexperts.com/fst and their support staff sent us the following email...

"Dear Info,
BlockExperts Support just logged a message to a ticket in which you participate.

Hi,

The fastcoin wallet is currently at block 8196663 downloading.
I can start the indexing process when the download of the blockchain is finished.

I am sorry for all the delays, i will adjust the hosting period to when the block explorer is starting to index blocks.

"

So far, they have been great to work with and we appreciate the patience of all community members as we work with them to have our explorer up ASAP.  It goes without saying that our Coin, FST, does indeed have the deepest block chain of any cryptocurrency, and because of this, additional time is necessary to properly ensure the Explorer is configured correctly.

With respects to my logo avatar, yes, the Golden Cheetah is slightly different than the standard FastCoin logo, LOL.  Please note however this was something near and dear to me as I do prefer the classical look of the coin.

I feel that FastCoin from a foundational perspective holds similar intrinsic values to that of precious metals.  Although I have a personal preference of Silver over Gold, the look and feel of this Avatar has stuck with me for some reason and for now I wish to be identified on this forum at least with its logo for now, thanks again Guido as your comment is duly noted.

You will find that many of the more established Crypto coins such as Bitcoin itself, has many different logo's and interpretations and I think that is a good thing to show the diversity of the coin, yet show support for the fundamental's that the coin represents and the underlying purpose it serves.

Switching gears for a moment, I would also like to make a few comments regarding the block rewards of FST and how it plays a role in the perceived value of our coin over time.  I have noticed that a few community members had some questions about how FST block reward program works and I will do my best to help explain its basic life cycle.  To help in my explanation I will use the following diagrams below which can assist in illustrating FastCoin's evolutionary block rewards life cycle and where it will be as we move forward in time...

Before diving into that analysis a couple of quick comments about the block cycle should also be explained.  The having cycle of FastCoin is essentially set to infinity, meaning the coin rewards will continue to halve essentially forever, never really reaching @165,888,0000 FST coins.  From a practical perspective, like Bitcoin the having cycle should work for about a hundred years into the future.  A future table will be posted in the forum to better help explain this for FST, but for now you can use Bitcoin's cycle and this chart as a rough guide for FST

I have also cross referenced the diagram over-top the recorded market history of our coin, which may also help co-relate the market price action respective to our coin during its block rewards cycle.  Having combined the two metrics for our coin, may give community members and potential investors a better idea of what they could expect moving forward with FST.

Before I continue however I would like to also make a quick note that in no way does this diagram guarantee the value of FST over time nor is it investment advice.  If there is any investment advice I can give for any investor in this space, is to not invest more than you are willing to lose.  All crypto's in this space, Bitcoin included, could all go to Zero one day.  This is not something we wish but its important for investors to understand the potential risks before throwing away all caution to the wind and go full bore into crypto speculation.

Back to the diagram above, with respects to FastCoin, it had a relatively aggressive block rewards program early in its life cycle.  If you look at the chart you will see based on the price action, especially during its 32 coins per blocks reward program from May 2013 - @ May 2014 it participated in two large purchasing waves.  At the time, the FastCoin team was very excited about the rise of the coin, and naturally disappointed when the prices dropped.  From these past experiences, we believe that the 32 blocks reward program served both as a blessing and a curse.

It was a blessing in the sense that it made our coin very popular for miners to mine in the early day's, as they would be greatly reward with a 32 coins payout per block.  As this was the case with Bitcoin when it rewarded miners 50 coins per block within its initial 4 year block reward cycle.  It was a curse in the sense that miners that were not "Loyal" to the coin would simply mine it, and quickly send the coin's to the exchange and sell it for Bitcoin.  Please also keep in mind that during these waves Bitcoin was valued from @$60 - $1000 USD at that time.  The first wave in July of 2013 Bitcoin was hovering in around the $100 USD range for several months.  The second wave we witnessed the 10x increase of BTC to over $1000 USD which ultimately resulted in the MtGox "Crash"

https://www.wired.com/2014/03/bitcoin-exchange/

and eventually the Cryptsy Debacle

http://www.coindesk.com/cryptsy-class-action-lawyers-claims-site/

and a slow gradual decline of Bitcoin to the $250 range for almost 3 years after that.

As you follow the history of FastCoin through its 16 blocks and 8 blocks reward cycle you will see from a price perspective its valuation remained relatively flat, as also was the case with Bitcoin at that time.  During that time however, we have concluded that most of the “FastCoin” unfaithful’s have been drastically reduced, and of the remaining circulating FastCoin’s in existence today, are now in “Stronger Hands”.

So, what does all this potentially mean?  If you look at the chart, things are very encouraging and several Senior Bitcoin forum members have also concurred, that FastCoin is now in its 4 coins per block rewards cycle and quickly approaching 2 coins per block.  FastCoin is HardCapped like Bitcoin and any respectable CryptoCoin.  As FastCoin continues through its block rewards cycle, and enthusiasts continue to hold it, its value should rise over time.

We would also like to couple this fact about FST with the upcoming realisation that Bitcoin cannot be ALL things for ALL people.  It is true that Bitcoin is an epic coin, in being the first mover in this space, and having tremendous community support and a large loyal following of mostly incredibly smart people.  However, scaling and speed continue to plague it with its leadership status and now Litecoin is quickly gaining attention as potentially filling the “Smaller” transactions that Bitcoin may not be best suited for.  We believe this is a tremendous opportunity for our coin, as several of these facts combined almost create the perfect storm for FastCoin.  We also have witnessed several interested parties that are already Beta testing our coin in use cases within select markets all over the world.

Before I get too far ahead of myself, I generally do not like to make price predictions, however myself and several FST foundation members feel that $1 USD per FST is not totally unreasonable.  Another comparison made was with DOGE, from a market cap comparison, FST could achieve between $2 - $3 within a year if it were to reach the popularity of DOGE.  Again, these numbers are strictly speculation and we generally do not like to go off on these tangents, but there you have it, that is what we feel at present FST is capable of.

Thanks again to all community members for their questions and assistance with other members on matters that are technical in nature or otherwise.  Again I would encourage anyone interested to learn more about our coin to register on our forum at...

http://www.fastcointalk.org

I would also encourage anyone with general questions or concerns to email us at info@fastcoin.ca

Hi All,

Wrote a detailed blog spelling out the case for investing in FST. Constructive criticism of course welcome, hopefully i have my details correct.

Also. This is only the 3rd post I've done on Steem. I'd be excited to connect with other Fast fans who have Steem accounts. Connect with me, I'll be happy to follow you!

https://steemit.com/fastcoin/@remistevens/the-case-for-fastcoin-fst

If you don't want to go to my Steem. No worries. Here is the text from the post:

The Case for Fastcoin FST

Deepest Blockchain. Always.

Fastcoin’s block time is the fastest. So it generates new blocks more frequently than any other coin. This means its blockchain grows faster than others. It also means that it has the most comprehensive record of states of its network, every 12 seconds a block is added and the network is updated. Bitcoin is older, sure, but bitcoin only adds a new block every 10 mins. Very quickly in Fastcoin’s evolution, it surpassed bitcoin and other old alt coins in regards to total amount of blocks added. Fastcoin also confirms at breakneck speed, if you tried to create a fully decentralized coin with faster confirmations, it probably just wouldn’t work technologically. Fastcoin also launched 4 years ago. At this point launching a new coin based on Bitcoin code with faster confirmations isn’t going to happen. No one launches bitcoin clones anymore, and faster confirmations wouldn’t work anyways. So Fastcoin, already having the deepest blockchain, will hold that title indefinitely. 100 years from now when the world economy only knows cryptos, Fastcoin will still have the deepest blockchain.

An analogy could help. Consider mankind’s first radio transmissions. They travel at the speed of light, nothing can move faster. The first transmission, will forever and always be ahead of any later transmissions. Its impossible for anything done later to ever catch up to something that already moves at the fastest speed possible. Forever and always, Fastcoin will be mankind’s deepest venture into the great crypto frontier. It can’t be caught.

Crypto value comes from scarcity. Bitcoin is valuable simple because there are only so many, and they can’t be reproduced. Alt coins that were the first at something innovative (anonymous, multi-algo, smart contracts…) retain their value. Coins disappear all the time, but those with something unique never die (as long as they’re functional of course). Fastcoin’s unique nature is in itself something rare. The first anonymous coin for instance must contend with other coins who perfect their method, or tout a new methodology toward anonymous that is the first “real” anonymous. Same thing with smart contracts. Someone can make the case that being the first of an even smarter smart contract will be superior. Fastcoin has no such competitors, no argument. Its unique nature is directly measurable and without question. It has the most blocks.

OK. So now a bit about everything else concerning Fastcoin. The good and the bad. I’ve been following this coin for its deepest blockchain for years, but of course as with all cryptos, no one feature is going to make it work out.

I think its important to address obvious criticisms. Here goes:

“Fastcoin is a clone, its code isn’t anything spectacular. All they did here essentially was take the code from litecoin and adjust the parameters so that blocks are generated faster. Today, you could do this kind of thing on a free website in minutes.”.
Although this is true, again Fastcoin’s value doesn’t come from it having a brilliant code. Bitcoin’s code, by today's crypto standards, is very simplistic. Functionally, its not the best coin. It gets its value from being the first. People trust Bitcoin as its history is the longest and its rarity guaranteed- there can only be 1 first coin. Fastcoin also has a long history both in terms of launch date and blocks recorded. For perspective, Litecoin is also just a clone of bitcoin, its not a whole lot different. Litecoin is worth about 2000X more than Fastcoin for comparison.

“There were a lot of coins in Fastcoin’s launch era that simply changed a few parameters and tried to call it innovation, they failed and no longer exist. This could happen to FST, people finally just give up on it”
Absolutely possible, but I’d say highly unlikely and less likely all the time. Many coins of FST era have died, no question, but FST didn’t die. Old coins have become a rarity in themselves, these days its very hard to find a scandal free coin with original devs from 2013.

“Fastcoin having the fastest confirmation times generates a lot of orphaned coins. So different parts of the network don’t initially agree and many miners find blocks that aren’t ultimately accepted into the chain”.
Also true, and initially this was a huge concern for Fastcoin. It confirms at a rate almost too fast for it to work properly. Ultimately if confirmations are too quick, there isn’t time for the entire network to come into agreement and potentially forks could occur as confusion about which blocks are real develops in the network. To this criticism though I think a look at the history can dispel this fear- if it hasn’t forked on this risk by now its even less likely as the network grows. The amount of orphaned blocks a miner might find is also a measurable quantity. No different than measuring the success rate of finding blocks. If you can find Fastcoin blocks at a somewhat reliable rate, and can sell them on the open market, that’s all a coin needs for the mining to be measurable and functional toward securing the network. The system works. 4 years of existence proves it.

“Fastcoin’s price has gone up over 2000% in only a few months. It can’t go up much farther”.
Fastcoin’s recent rise has been incredible, but in regards to market cap this is still a very cheap coin. Fastcoin is still around 1 million in market cap. Other coins relevant to its launch era are priced much higher in market cap. LTC is in the billions. Coins like FTC and VTC are in the 10-30 million range. Fastcoin being old and having a great unique character, is poised to go much higher in market cap. Its currently the 300th most valuable coin. Many coins with little history and nothing to offer are well above it in value. The low market cap makes it enticing to the many new comers to crypto as well. A newbie who wants to be a big player in a coin with potential can acquire a sizeable chunk of FST total supply without too much of an investment. This is impossible in bigger coins these days unless you’re quite rich.

“There are other cryptos who confirm faster”
This is probably true, sorry too many coins to know. It would have to be a newer coin using master nodes, or some type of centralization though from my understanding. There was no way to do it faster in 2013 and no way to do it faster now if you’re using the old style open launch, bitcoin type code (which in my opinion is truest toward decentralization).

Some needs not wants. Every crypto has to fulfill some basic requirements to persist. Just going to go through those positives now that Fastcoin checks out on.

Developers
Check. They were quiet for quite a few years, but seem very active now. If I had to guess, and apologies to them for the intrusion, they were probably quiet because they wanted to buy up more coin while it was cheap. Given that they are now being very attentive to all needs, its safe to assume that one way or another they have a good supply of FST of their own. This is not a bad thing! The original devs having a sizeable chunk of supply through their own investment in a free market is great. It shows commitment to the project. Also, this coin was very low value for very long, no doubt its network was very small at times. Someone was a good steward of the coin and kept it going faithfully. You don’t nurture a project through the tough times and then abandon it when its getting positive traction again. The devs are on board, clearly spending some money and lots of effort. We should hope they are able to pull some profit as the price rises and put that toward further development. That is a natural evolution to hope for. Original devs who are stakeholders and have proven their commitment are a great thing.

Community
OK, its pretty slow on their forum. Bitcointalk has picked up a lot though and new people seem to be around much more often. Many old names, myself included, are back into the conversation. There is certainly a core of people who have followed this coin and it can be trusted that they’ll be there in the future as well. If we haven’t left in 4 years, why would we now? Also, given the success of alt coins this spring, you can probably expect a lot of old time alt coin enthusiasts who have recently made a lot of money and are now wanting to expand into other coins they remember from 2013. This spring seems evidence of a lot of new money in alt coins as well. Fastcoin’s marketing and value seems pretty straight forward and easy to understand for newbies. Fastcoin is enticing to both old and new investors for various reasons and could expand its core community quite quickly.

Functioning
4 years functioning perfectly. I do transactions with friends using FST. Works perfectly every time, way faster than bitcoin to have it fully transacted. Even deposits on exchanges are way faster than BTC in my experience. They’ll require more confirmations than BTC does before calling it a legit deposit, but those confirmations will happen faster. End result: You always get your FST very quickly, whatever you’re doing. About the only thing slow about it is syncing the blockchain. Its is a big chain after all. Once you’re up and running though it works great.

Scam Alerts
No premine, no centralization, no scandals, open launch. The only risk here is that something nefarious happened while the network was very small. The block explorer seems reliable to me, although I’m no coder to verify that sort of thing. One thing I do trust however is the recent attention which has surely drawn greater scrutiny. If any funny business has occurred while the network was very small, hopefully someone smarter than myself is able to point that out. And anyone smart enough is probably invested in other coins and has an incentive to point out flaws in the competition- (or sell all their fastcoin, then point out the scam). If there was a scam here, we’d probably have heard about it by now with the recent price rise.

Name
“Fastcoin”. Tell me this isn’t one of the best crypto names out there.

OK, there you have it. All of my many reasons for supporting this crypto. Full disclosure, obviously I own some Fastcoin! You should too! Check out the bitcointalk thread or their dedicated forum fastcointalk.org for more info (where to buy, how to mine, wallets).
Thank you again Remistevens,

Please note Block explorer is up

https://www.blockexperts.com/fst

and news has it several more will be going up as well, we will post those as soon as we are aware of their location.

We are very excited for multiple reasons for our Coin!  Thank you to all the community members for help making this happen, we expect 2017 to be a stellar year for FastCoin.

Sincerely

/Fast

Thank you Fast and Remistevens,

Yes, we are all very excited about the prospects for FastCoin moving forward!  We truly have something wonderful which is already happening to FastCoin!
We have discovered several use cases where our coin is currently being used worldwide for transactions.

We continue to forget that the world is a very big place (Not just North America market) and we are continuing to discover how our coin is making a meaningful impact in other market places worldwide.  Please note however, this success cannot be without the contributions of the community members such as yourselves.  Without the commitment and support that you provide, FastCoin merely reflects the value of its care or negligence.

We have received numerous requests for joint venture partnerships and I would encourage anyone interested to please email us at info@fastcoin.ca if you would like further details.  Also, if you have not already done so please join our forum at www.fastcointalk.org, in that forum we can have a more comprehensive dialog on how we would like to shape the message about FastCoin moving forward, as well as deal with any technical issues that might be cropping up for community members.

We apologies in advance if our support staff do not get back to you right away, remember the coin is indeed "Fast" but we are humans in body, and only Cheetah in spirit ;-).

Please remember, FastCoin (FST) this is “your” coin, one created by the community, for the community, you have a voice and we want it heard.  Certainly, some voices are louder than others and this is reflected in the donations we receive from community members.  For those that are interested to be heard and we welcome bullhorns, please feel free to donate towards the cause below.

I'm new to all this, what is the bootstrap file for?

And can I have my fast wallet on multiple computers or is each wallet on each computer separate?

Love this coin, and thanks in advance for the help!!!

Thanks for your questions Bigdaddy1000,

The "Bootstrap" file you are referring too, found on the following link...
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B37Llt3dDAzHTktRRFpzSlJaVzA

is a static copy of the complete FastCoin (FST) blockchain for Windows clients running ver 10.2.2 up to and including June 11th 2017.

We have posted it as a curtesy to community members so that users that do not wish to wait for the client to completely download on its own via the synchronization process, can simply follow the steps in the attached guide to help “Expedite” the Synchronization process of their full node FST Wallets.  We understand the method in which it is being offered is somewhat crude at the moment, the FastCoin Core team is working on helping address the delivery method of this issue.

Due to the nature in which the Full FastCoin (FST) ver 10.2.2 wallet installs on Windows however, it’s probably a good idea to only install one copy of it per PC.  In other words, you can install as many copies of the wallet you like on different computers, but again one wallet (Software client) per Windows PC is recommended.  IE if you have 3 computers, you can install 3 separate copies of the FastCoin (FST) wallet on each of these computers.

Please note, we may be using the term "Wallet" very loosely here as well.  What is meant by this, is each FastCoin (FST) wallet client that is installed per PC, allows you to create as many FastCoin (FST) "wallets addresses" as you like on each PC.

It is a full featured wallet with all the abilities that Bitcoin or any decent Altcoin wallet has.

I hope this helps answer your question, again if you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to post on our forum at www.fastcointalk.org

Thank you again as we appreciate your support and looking forward to making FastCoin all that it can be.

Cheers

/C

HEY GUYS!!
I'm brand new to the forum. I recently bought up a whole bag of FST on livecoin and I went to go download the 10.2.2 Mac OS wallet and it has been 3+ days without syncing.
It seems to be completely halted. What should I do?
Thanks in advance for the help.  Smiley
Hello Evoman1 and Fastcoin-ok,

Thanks for your support.

Yes as Fastcoin-ok suggested, probably the best thing to do, to help troubleshoot your issue, is to join our own forum at www.fastcointalk.org.

Once you've joined, post your topic in the troubleshooting section located here...
http://www.fastcointalk.org/index.php/board,47.0.html

Once posted, email the support team at info@fastcoin.ca your fastcointalk.org ID and link to your posted ticket.

Someone from the community will do their best to assist you.

You can also browse around in that forum as you might find a solution already listed to the problem your experiencing.

Sincerely

/C

The problem is that it doesn't take 1 minute to register. It requires admin approval. This is really not new-user friendly at all. Most people interested and willing to ask a question will just forget about it because of this "admin approval".

By the way, I'm still waiting for mine.
Hi Sir_Iglou

Thanks for your note, and we apologies for the wait.  Our administrator to the site has approved your request to join, please go and check to see that you can get logged in now.

sweet new website!
https://www.fastcoin.ca/

Great design! Could you change the Dutch text to "Bloktijd: 12 seconden"? In "12 tweede bloktijd", tweede means second as in #2.

Please don't use Google Translate for anything you publish. I'm a professional translator and I can tolerate amateur translations in open-source software, but machine translation will be gibberish.
Thank you ProkhorZ for letting us know.

Please note, the WebDev has updated the site and made the changes as requested!

Fastcoin looks like a really promising coin, I'm glad I invested on time. Let's get it higher.

So in order to convince me to buy, I visited your website (I'm French), aaaand that translation is quite ridiculous haha

You guys wrote "12 Deuxième temps de blocage", which is an absolute non sense. Literally, it means "12 Second (Like in First, Second, Third, Fourth...) blocking time".
In my opinion, the best translation (Which doesn't sound weird) would be:
"12 secondes par bloc" (literally "12 seconds per block", sounds better in french)

But if you want a more literal translation, I'd go with "Temps de bloc de 12 secondes". Yet it sounds weird.

If you need help to translate the rest of the website, I'd be glad to help.

Merci once again Sir_Iglou,

Les modifications apportées à la page ont été faites comme indiqué!

Cordialement

do we know what the credentials are to be listed for example on bittrex?

btw just wondering if "twiiter" instead of "twitter" is on purpose, on the homepage under community ;-)

haha yep I spotted the typo too, hope devs see your comment, only a small thing though

as far as I know bittrex have no add coin application
you can tweet them and if they have 5 they may look into a coin, they generally are on the lookout for new high volume coins unfortunately
they do though add old school honest coins like this that are growing well,

so once we are bigger maybe 5 mill marketcap and better volume I think worth approaching

I think polo are to be avoided, they wouldnt consider fst just now, too low cap

plus THEY are to be avoided, the things i am reading about them at minute on twitter and trollboxes
people are panicking, polo are in undisclosed offices, ignoring support, excuses, they messed up on a coin and people lost all from wallets etc

they are another cryptsy in making i fear, victim of their own success and greed

bittrex is nice but too early imo and not big enough, livecoin is a really nice exchnage plus has fst/usd and fst/btc, this is great for n on crypto people to get into fastcoin

we also need a block explorer as others have said, had a few i think, but they die off if subs not kept up
you have to have one to even apply for polo or bittrex or any exchange
think devs said they are building own one for fastcoin which would be great

the one ediths mentioned few posts up is best, cryptoid i think
but if you visit thread where she linked, they are basically off til september due to growing so big and they want to relax before adding more coins and growing again
they are a first class operation though, not in it for money

Polo have stepped up to the plate every time! They have been through everything and just grown stronger each time. https://poloniex.com/press-releases/2017.06.07-Improving-Our-Support-Capacity/

Thanks for your post Dan,

This is a good thing,

We will continue to monitor and encourage all community members to continue petitioning Poloniex for FST's enlistment.

Big advantage to livecoin.net where all the volume is, is there is also a FST/USD page for trading also
non-crypto people can just deposit cash, okpay, payeer plus lots of other ways, rather than having to go down the whole coinbase to btc route

when they see under 2 cents for fst, then look at btc, they realise its dirt cheap

rather than popup on website, fastcoin.ca
I would suggest a dedicated page detailing how and where people can buy and trade,, exchanges
and promote the FST/USD page as easiest for normal people, screenshot
walk them through the pages and process at livecoin
maybe a nice video too, with screenshots of pages

plus it is a matter of time surely before being added to further exchanges, one of consistently top volume on livecoin and does well on cryptopia which is low volume exchange but is number 15 out of all crypto on there and literally must be couple hundred coins on there

they are both good exchanges tbh out of smaller ones

bittrex would be very nice, who knows, are they stockpiling some before adding?
speculating here but seen it all before.

I actually have sellers regret as sold too cheap at a fraction of even this price!
I see a bright future for fastcoin

if, i can't see it, but if we drop back to 300 sat range or below, I'm buying hard

but I think we're going over 1k sats and beyond by the weekend

Thanks for the note Zimtente,

It looks like the WebDev dotted too many "i" and not enough "t" ;-).

Has now been corrected, thanks again for the catch.

Hi there,

I'm relatively new to altcoin investing but have invested/traded a lot with BTC for years.

After Fastcoin's recent gains, Fastcoin caught my eye. I have to say it looks promising, and given the long history and this large thread here I'm wondering why this coin is still trading at this price. I've already read through quite a bit of this thread, but I still have some questions:
1. If I look at the overall usefulness (speed of transactions which will be useful for many things), the active dev team and the long history, it seems this coin should already have been trading at higher prices, but instead it has only gone up recently. It's especially low when I compare it to comparable coins. Is there anything that I'm missing?
2. I noticed mention of talks with parties that will use/are using the coin, is there any update on this?

Thanks in advance,
Torben

I think because they are good developers but suck at marketing 😂
Thank you both Warmaus and Torben1,

As much as it pains us to admit this, we believe Warmaus is correct.  Again if you have not read the post I had regarding Beta vs VHS, all new members who have the same question about our coin, please feel free to read it here...

My June 11th post @11:29am on this subject.

As stated by Fastcoin, new Marketing initiatives are currently being deployed by the FastCoin foundation and as a result we are now seeing some of the fruits of that labor.

With respects to parties using our coins, yes, we have several interested parties, certainly Fastcoin.co appears to be one of them.  We also have strong interest coming from Russia and China at the moment as well.  Since we are on the subject, anyone in our community who actively communicates, reads and writes in Chinese, please DM us as we may need your help.

Hope that answers your questions for now, thank you again for your continued support.

Looking forward to using FST to help drain "The Swamp" ;-)

Cheers

No explorer? Coin hiding something?

from the dev:

Thanks for your question, yes we had several 3rd party Explorers, however we are working on our own dedicated to the community.  We have found over the years as some of the 3rd party providers tend to pool resources to other coins as the markets fluctuate.   As a result the Explores they hosted on our behalf were either not responding or taken off line.  We hope to have our own dedicated Block Explorer up and running shortly and will communicate to the community once it is up.

btw german translation is wrong. (homepage)

"12 Zweite Blockzeit" should be "12 Sekunden Blockzeit"
Thanks again Zimtente,

WebDev was glad that you pointed this out and has made the change as requested.

Sincerely
