21  Economy / Gambling / Re: PrediMarket.net - Advanced Bitcoin Sportsbook on: April 13, 2016, 07:20:35 PM
Is this an exchange? You use terminology that isn't clear at all.

No it is not an exchange. An exchange is a market place gathering "bidders" and "sellers" or "backers" and "layers" in terms of betting exchange. This kind of mechanism is generally bad because of the lack of liquidity: a bet can only be concluded if a backer and a layer agree on a certain odds which prevents many people to actually make their bet because they fail to come to an agreement with the other party.

At PrediMarket, you bet against the gambling house, hence there is no liquidity problems. Depending on the amount you wish to bet, PrediMarket will offer you different odds.
For example:
- if you want to bet 1 BTC, you get a decimal odds of 3.0
- if you want to bet 0.5 BTC, you get a decimal odds of 3.5
- if you want to bet 0.1 BTC, you get a decimal odds of 4.0
...

"Why is PrediMarket innovative?": "odds you get for an outcome depend on the total wages already placed by other gamblers on that outcome and the amount you want to bet" is literally how every single bookmaker works at the end of the day, this isn't innovative at all.

You are right in the sense that this is how every single bookmaker works macroscopically (in the long-run if you prefer). But none of them does that live while you are completing your betslip. At a regular bookmaker, you are offered a unique odds (say 3.0) for a specific outcome no matter how much you bet. The odds might change only for future gamblers.
PrediMarket offers you much more flexibility: that is why it is truly innovative.

I understand, it is quite unique in that respect indeed. I'll try depositing some and see how it goes.
22  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetBTC ★NEW DICE GAME★ Bitcoin Sports Betting | Instant Payments | Like Betfair on: April 13, 2016, 03:45:56 PM
Why would you add dice?   Huh
There already are many sites that implement dice better.

why not?
more than 10k bets in 48h

If you don't like it make your suggestion or stop grizzling

There's no need to be so defensive, I quite like the site generally.
I just see don't see much purpose or point in that "dice" slider when sites like Primedice exist (and you don't innovate on them).
You are one of the only sports exchanges in the Bitcoin market, why would you not focus on improving that o.o?

24  Economy / Gambling / Re: FAIRLAY - SPORTS BETTING for experts - highest liquidity, provably best odds on: April 13, 2016, 03:13:41 PM
In general I still really like this site, mainly because the margin on the lines is unbeatable and there is a wide variety of markets available.
As I've written before, the guy who runs the site is generally trustworthy from my experience.

However, there still are a few overarching issues, most of which have been mentioned already:
1) Pace of changes and improvements to the site is quite slow (although recently it has improved).
I think it's fairly uncontroversial to see areas where improvements are needed: performance and load times are poor, the user interface is really lacking (compare it to smarkets, for example), the API is unreliable and often out-of-date (leading me to scraping lines often, which I'm sure causes even worse site performance...) etc.
Do you need help in terms of developers? I could chip in...
2) Response time to messages (i.e support) is quite slow.
3) Lack of clarity regarding market makers. Obviously without a market maker there would be very little liquidity, and having them hedge their bets on other sites is reasonable, but them having various advantages of other players in an "exchange" is unfair. Now that all players can simultaneously stake the same funds on different outcomes it's better, but still having some information about them would be better.

Just use standard Betfair-style terminology, no sports better uses "shares" when trading bets.

That's the thing: I haven't posted any bitcoin address, ever.
If needed, my post history pre-hacking shows lots of posts regarding various sportsbooks, for example Fairlay. I can prove I have the same user on Fairlay, if need be.

I can commend you on your choice of unique and complex password (I use a password manager-generated password and 2FA auth for sites that really matter to me), but I rather doubt that someone bruteforced my password for this site.

Is this yours?

Thanks a lot, this is indeed mine! Signed below. Where did you find a reference to this address, so that I may show this to the users of this site that have given me negative trust?

I don't live on the forum. My posting from the point of creation of my account in 2013 up until the beginning of the year has been fairly sporadic.

In fact, if posting on this forum was, for some inexplicable reason, a scarce resource, I wouldn't hesitate to give my posting rights to someone who desperately needed it.
Especially to this fellow who has an urgent need to advertise signatures for shoddy bitcoin porn websites.

By the way, I hope everyone reading this is well aware that signing a message right now with a PGP key and a bitcoin address that have absolutely no relation to me or this account, servers absolutely no purpose and is in fact meaningless.

A signed message with what key? What are you talking about?

With a Bitcoin address that you had previously staked or otherwise posted.

How to:

Are you not familiar with the many instances of exposed and leak accounts, and the various incompentent/shoddy practices of theymos? You must be new here. I suggest you read up, maybe then you will "allow" me to assign blame to your precious forum.

Yes, I'm a total noob but still capable of choosing a unique and sufficiently complex password.

That's the thing: I haven't posted any bitcoin address, ever.

Call me stupid if ya like, whats the point in buying an account here? I mean, its free to start one right? What am I missing?

Pretend to be more trusted than you are, i.e. scam.

Make some pennies in sig campaigns, i.e. spam.

I am the original owner of the account...
Interesting , that all people are claiming about the same.

No, there's a single person (likely Russian from his post history on my account) claiming to have bought the account.
Meanwhile, I have access to the username "ctlaltdefeat" on a large number of sites for a long time now, as well as obviously having access to the email registered to the account in order to reset the password...

So you're saying that ActSeller, Aleister Crowley, and possibly shorena are lying? And if they are why did you need to reset the password if the account had not been sold?

No, I definitely did not have access to the account for a few months and had a relative lack of interest in using this website during this time (as well as being busy).
It seems quite likely that my account was indeed hacked and sold. As I'm sure we're all aware, theymos and bitcointalk don't exactly have a pristine reputation when it comes to safeguarding from exploits and leaking user data.

so is this your email ctlaltdefeat@gmail.com ?

The email ctlaltdefeat@yahoo.com is mine, which is what the account is registered with. I don't know where you came up with ctlaltdefeat@gmail.com. Earlier on you mentioned ctlaltdefeat@bitcointalk.org. Are you just making up email addresses?

Let's start with the basics. Can you post a signed message?

Stop blaming the forum, this has nothing to do with that.

34  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any safe way to grow my bitcoins ? on: April 06, 2016, 09:45:47 AM
Best grow for me #Trading (Selling on bottom and Buying on top)...
do you think trading safe way?its maybe the best, but i dont think its the safest way,its have big risk,we can lost money if we dont have any knowledge about what we trade, just like gambling.
35  Other / Off-topic / Re: Way to get bitcoin..!! on: April 06, 2016, 09:42:09 AM
From that list just avoid the cloud mining, the others ways sure are good but the best from those all is signatures that can give you a residual income ,even knowing that trading may bring you better results.
should we don't believe cloud mining like cex.io who has exist and still legit since long time ago?
cloud mining are ridiclious way to gerow our bitcoin, its have high risk level, but also its good way for people who have invest so many bitcoin. earn bitcoin depending how much we have brave to invest or hardwork for me.

37  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: why people always confuse epay.info and epay.com? any other epay available? on: April 06, 2016, 08:55:25 AM
Hello, everyone:

well, the thing is, i have opened a thread to talk about Epay's"$10 award for new merchants". Please note i mean the epay.com not other epay. But so many people there response me about the epay.info.   I don't know why customers are apt to confuse the two companies. It seems that they focus on different bussniss type.

Epay.info is an gaming faucet script and faucet list site, a samilar to faucetbox.com, and xapo.com. we can use it to claim various faucets and get paid through epay.info account. just take a look at epay.info for know more about epay.info..

Epay.com is a brand new payment processor which provides global payment service including sending funds, receiving funds, deposit, withdraw, currency exchange, money transfer etc.

It seems that so many similar companies are called epay, any other epay you know, share your view here. Or the comments/complaints just about epay.info and epay.com, all of them are welcomed.

i dont see people confuse about this, the domain totally different, and in entire my life i just know about epay.info, last years i'm still playing their faucet, and earn not much bitcoin, and already forget about password and username.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful about any Negative Bitcoin stories reguarding banks on: April 06, 2016, 08:20:16 AM
I don't think this really matters. Bitcoin will prevail and provide an attractive alternate investment to the mass. Bank can not change this now.
its not matter for now,we still dont see any bad effect for us and for bitcoin, let say if bank gonna make big investement on fintech, and then they have big plan to make better domination and try against bitcoin and blockchain,i'm sure at that time its was big problem.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disney is hiring. on: April 06, 2016, 08:18:23 AM
Disney is hiring a "Disney Private Blockchain Intern" to develop a private security blockchain. http://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/disney-develops-private-blockchain-security-control/
Someone already post about this, of course its little bit weird if company like disney start interest to blockchain tecnology, even we know they are have technology to developing disney character, its not make sense if they use blockchain technology, still wonder what excatly would they do with this plan.
40  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did Bitcoin Spread ? on: April 06, 2016, 08:11:29 AM
bitcoin spread by media but the more important way is when bitcoin spread by people who trust in bitcoin then they will tell to their friend, family, neighbour, etc.
that is how bitcoin spread nowdays, spread by media, people who care about bitcoin and then they make promotion without paid by everyone, introduce on college and office, its many way to sprread bitcoin, also people try to spread bitcoin to their family. but i wonder how the first time media know about bitcoin, even satoshi nakamoto known as bitcoin founder, but i dont see any history how he report bitcoin to media.
