21  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: SATOCHIP The Times Limited Edition HW cards! on: February 07, 2024, 10:14:17 AM
Hi everyone...

Was not paying attention to this thread so I'm back with a few information:

- Our products are all based on the same smartcard and the same secure element.
- We have developed 3 different firmwares loaded on each card, each with a different design. Everything is opensource and can be found here: https://github.com/Toporin
- Cards are dual interface, meaning that they can be used with a chip card reader (contact interface) or with a NFC reader (contactless).

Smart cards need software to be used. To date, we have developed the following open-source software:
- For Satochip : DESKTOP ONLY (natively integrated with Sparrow Wallet, Uniblow Wallet and soon Electrum) + a 2FA mobile app that act as a detached screen to confirm, on your mobile phone, your TXs.
- For Satodime : DESKTOP and MOBILE
- For Seedkeeper : DESKTOP ONLY (we will release a mobile app in a few weeks).

Conclusion: you can use each cards with NFC but you will be only able to use Satodime with your mobile phone.

Feel free to reach our Telegram channel for more in-depth discussion about Satochip products and developments : https://t.me/satochip

23  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Bitcoin Halvening Watch on: January 16, 2024, 08:01:35 PM
Hello guys, this is Carlos Estrada, founder of Coin Vigilante Bitcoin watches being discussed here. I was made aware of the conversation and I wanted to hop in here to answer any questions and let you know about our biggest release yet! For background, our goal is to create timepieces that represent the importance and elegance of sound money. For every person who wears these watches, there is someone representing Bitcoin wherever they go. Currently our watches are worn in over 40 countries, we have a 2 year warranty, and our watches are made of high quality materials - stainless steel 316 L, sapphire glass (new editions)… we recently launched our biggest release yet featuring an impeccable design: the Bitcoin Halving 2024 watch. Here’s what you need to know.

The Bitcoin Halving 2024 watch is a very special release to me…

We created it to celebrate and remember the iconic halving - when the reward for Bitcoin mining cuts in half every 4 years

This mechanism built into Bitcoin counteracts inflation and provides scarcity. A system that helps protect the purchasing power of people, unlike fiat currencies which print money out of thin air, devaluing the purchasing power of those who own fiat through inflation.

Bitcoin’s halving makes it scarce and inflation-resistant!

This is what the world NEEDS!

The Bitcoin Halving Watch was created to represent the importance of this and celebrate this moment. This specific 2024 halving watch will never be made again (“scarcity” aspect). New halving editions will be created and released only every 4 years.

Not only is this design completely new, but  it also features the Bitcoin logo in impeccable ways, such as the skeleton dial and the Bitcoin orange second hand.

This watch is also automatic/mechanical with a see through dial AND caseback - “Proof-of-work” 😉

Throughout the watch you’ll see amazing details such as the “BLOCK HEIGHT: 840,000” engraved on the case - this engraving marks the block at which the halving will take place - a historic block for Bitcoin to remember everywhere you go.

There are many other details and designs in the watch for you to discover yourself.

It is currently available for pre-orders to everyone! Those who pre order their watch within the next two weeks will secure their watch and get in line to receive them in April!

I hope you participate and purchase a watch, as we have worked hard to make this happen and introduce this very special and extremely limited timepiece. 👇🏽

If you have any questions please reply here! I’d love to connect and talk!

Hey bro,

Thank you for coming here.

Is there any way we can pay using Bitcoin ?
24  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [INFO] Bitcoin Halvening Watch on: January 16, 2024, 11:17:44 AM
Hello,

First time I see those watches...
Design is great.

How about the quality? Is the manufacturer trusted here? Do you have any good quality picture of one of your watch to check the quality?

And last question: why can't we pay with Bitcoin? I might be interested to buy 1 or 2 watches but wanna pay in Bitcoin.

Thank you.

30  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Satochip - Limited Edition for the 14th Anniversary of Bitcointalk forum. on: December 21, 2023, 10:10:59 AM
A few weeks ago, I was one of the people who ordered the previous series of cards. However, I received an email stating that for an unknown reason, I was able to "backorder" the card which was already sold out. Later, I received an offer to receive the first one of the new batch.

Finally, the card has been delivered, and I am grateful for it. I liked it so much and wanted to thank you for this wonderful card.

After carefully analyzing the situation, we realized where the problem lay. In fact, you ordered cards and made a payment in Bitcoin, which took several hours to be confirmed due to network congestion. Meanwhile, the cards were "reserved" but not paid for. The stock was not reduced accordingly and in the meantime, someone paid for the same cards by VISA. These were the last cards, hence the backorder.

Again, sorry for the inconvenience.

If you want to send or receive Bitcoin physically (and oversea), use a Satodime card: https://satochip.io/product/satodime
It's a small portable bearer Bitcoin card. Easy to load, to carry, to share. And very discreet.
It also has an "Ownership" mechanism that is pretty interesting: https://satochip.io/satodime-ownership-explained/

Thanks me later Wink

Last chance to grab this limited edition.

I like this quote... You know why? Because here at Satochip, we have made a product called Seedkeeper that allows you to safely store your seedphrase in a tamper proof secure element.
The very first hardware for seed. And one thing that people disslike in the product is that you CANT remove an entry.

Indeed, we assume that a seedphrase should never be deleted, for a variety of reasons:
- the presence of a fork that would offer you new tokens at this address
- Bitcoin dust that could be worth a fortune in a few years' time
- an oversight on your part and you depositing funds there.

You should never delete a wallet. You should never delete a seedphrase. Follow Satoshi's quote and thanks him later Wink

I was just wondering,
what is the difference between this edition and the first edition released?

Hello,

What do you mean by "the first edition released" ?

Thank you.

37  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WTS] Bitcoin Poker 2020 Full Case Set #S1 + 9-chip set + COAs on: December 12, 2023, 07:06:59 PM
Hey guys,

Sorry for the off-topic. Imagine I'm able to load the poker chip with the real sats value, like a bearer poker chip.
Would it be interesting for you? I mean, not with a removable holo stickers. But with a real chip inside that can handle private keys. And a mobile app that allow you to on-load / off-load your tokens.

Speaking out loud... It's the first time I see such Poker set with Bitcoin denominations.
38  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE Raffle] SATOCHIP - Exclusive 14th Years Bitcointalk Special Edition 1 on: December 12, 2023, 05:54:46 PM
Some days ago, sorry for not posting earlier but experienced some real life issues, I received this fantastic card !!!

As I wrote earlier in this thread couldn't ask for a better way to celebrate my ten years on this forum.

At first I thought I would have used it as wallet, also purchased a card reader, unsealed outside packaging because couldn't wait to see the carsd with my eyes but once I saw it I changed my mind.
It's too cool to allow it to deteriorate with use and time by handling it
I think , at least for now, am not going to unbox the transparent envelope and keep it jealously stored as collectible and will buy a new card from Satochip.

By the way it's worth to mention my shoppiung experience was awesome and they assisted me fixing a mistake I did during the buying process - higly recommended!

Thanks again Satochip and dkbit98 for this opportunity.

Thank you for your kind words Wink
It always a real pleasure to see such a satisfaction coming from our valuable customers.

For those who wanna grab a limited edition, there are a few left in our webshop.
If ordered quickly, it can be ship worldwide and arrive before christmas!

Enjoy!
