21  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the world’s 6th largest currency on: August 12, 2018, 10:46:57 AM
This is all absolute pie in the sky.  Bitcoin can't be used as a currency in very many places.  first it has to be converted into another currency.  So what's the point of it except as a profit making adventure for the lucky.
22  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL Reminder: Bitcoin Halving is just around 650 days away on: August 10, 2018, 05:58:23 PM
But people are not gaining anything unless they sell.  That's why I don't agree with holding.  The holders are enabling the others to take a profit.  Because if the holders took their profit there would be less profit for the non holders.
23  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will 2018 be better than 2017 for bitcoin on: May 08, 2018, 10:09:04 AM
So far there are no signs that 2018 will be a better year.  But maybe at the end of the year Bitcoin will pick up.  But I don't think it will happen in the next few months to any great extent.
24  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is everybody's Bitcoin worth on: May 07, 2018, 12:08:45 PM
Thank you for replying.  I just worry about the price going up and down with no good reason.
25  Other / Beginners & Help / What is everybody's Bitcoin worth on: May 07, 2018, 10:54:48 AM
If the price today for bitcoin is around 9.3k then that can't mean everybody's Bitcoins is worth that amount because where would the money come from to pay everybody if they all wanted to sell.  This is why I am losing faith in the whole thing.  And I was reading about wash trading which is people buying and selling their own Bitcoins at the same time and that is what is keeping the price up for the time being.
26  Economy / Speculation / Re: Just sold all my BTC because on: May 06, 2018, 03:24:25 PM
I think you did the right thing selling rather than watch the price drop and drop.  But I suppose you could have kept some back just in case the price goes up.  But you did the best thing to sell at least some of your holding before the price drops too much.
27  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin in for another low? on: May 03, 2018, 09:24:38 AM
I agree with the poster who says it is now looking like an over-priced asset.  If it doesn't go up in price what exactly is it's purpose.
28  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin to soar again? on: May 02, 2018, 10:34:05 AM
No I personally don't think it will soar again any time soon.  It's just languishing at the moment.  Neither up nor down.  Then it might surprise us with a big change.
29  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin a Bubble? on: May 01, 2018, 04:42:36 PM
If it bursts then it probably is a bubble.  If it doesn't burst then it probably  isn't.  Maybe it's a balloon that will just deflate slowly.  But only time will tell.
30  Economy / Speculation / Re: 7k by tonight Sunday on: April 30, 2018, 11:33:20 AM
I have come back on to say that yes I was wrong.  I did think there would be a fall as the volume was low and the price did seem to be struggling to stay above around 9k.  So from here who knows.  I would not risk money at this time because it's so unpredictable.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: 7k by tonight Sunday on: April 29, 2018, 11:11:57 AM
I don't think everyone should believe me.  Anymore than people who bought at 20k and believed the only way was up.     .  I think it will drop because of trends and the trend is downwards I'd say but I might be wrong of course.
32  Economy / Speculation / 7k by tonight Sunday on: April 29, 2018, 10:46:33 AM
I think Bitcoin is heading for the usual Sunday night drop.  I'd say 7k was not unlikely in say 12 hours or so time.  Not maybe low 7k but 7k.  And the volume looks very low.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Face up to reality: The game is over on: April 28, 2018, 10:06:54 PM
I agree with this. The only people the hodlers are benefitting are the day traders and whales at this present time.  It is a totally mad strategy to hold and hold through prices increase and decrease.  There is no profit till you sell.  Why can't people understand this.
34  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC 20K coming soon, watch this chart and ease your mind :D on: April 27, 2018, 11:09:02 PM
Bitcoin is struggling to even reach 10k and 12k is not likely.  20K is a dream.  But we shall see.
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $6000 in 3... 2... 1... on: April 27, 2018, 10:11:58 AM
Buy low sell high seems sensible to me.  Rather than this hodling for a profit that might be pie in the sky.  So buy at 6k and sell at 9 or if you're brave hold out for 10k.
36  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Struggling to Reach Over 9K on: April 26, 2018, 01:11:13 PM
I don't think it's to do with barriers the reason the price isn't going up.  It's because too many day traders and short term traders are taking a profit when they can.  So if somebody buys at 8k or 9k and price goes to 9.5k say then a large number of people will take a profit so the price goes down.   But not far enough for people to get tempted to buy at a low price.  So that's what's happening as far as I can see.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bull Momentum In Full Force on: April 23, 2018, 10:17:50 PM
I don't think the bullish trend will last long.  I think the future is quite bleak for Bitcoin but only time will tell.
38  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait for bitcoin to grow? on: April 22, 2018, 11:22:56 AM
If you've made a good profit then sell part of your investment.  No point in sitting on a profit and then crying when the price goes down.  You need to apply common sense.  No guarantee whether or not the price is going up or down from here.  I think it could reach 10k and then go down.  But it's not going to rocket.
39  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - a short pullback or a long-term bottom? on: April 22, 2018, 09:52:40 AM
I was not meaning to be funny.  It's only what I think.  And it's really dangerous to think that the only way is up so lots of folk rush in like last time and lose their money.
40  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - a short pullback or a long-term bottom? on: April 22, 2018, 09:23:17 AM
I think this is a temporary rise and it will fall back again because the volume is very low.  Why would people buy at nearly 9k when the price a week or two ago was 6k.
