21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Notcoin mining on: March 14, 2024, 10:21:02 AM
If the NFT voucher or the entire collection seems suspicious to you for some reason or intuition, take your time. Follow the checklist:

1. Make sure the NFT belongs to the official getgems.io/notcoin collection

2. Make sure the NFT is not "single". This is displayed right on the page with that NFT.

3. Contact Getgems support @nfton_bot or the community to report fake collections.

Users who attempt to scam others with fake NFTs will be blocked on the Getgems website.

Always safely trade Notcoin vouchers at getgems.io/notcoin and good luck with trading! ❤️

https://t.me/notcoin/280
https://getgems.io/notcoin

All that remains is to call on luck to get these NFT vouchers. Yesterday, while the Trade button was active, I constantly saw a message that I was in line and needed to wait 10 minutes. Of course, I couldn't get a voucher. On March 07, I was more successful, but while I was replenishing my TON wallet, my luck ran out LOL. But the first luckers were able to sell their vouchers well, and I will mint and wait for the price to rise amid the addition of the utility and the development of NOTcoin.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you continue to trust Trust Wallet? on: March 13, 2024, 05:54:31 PM
In 2016, I also used MEV, then switched to MM. Now I use MM and Bitget in parallel. I can’t say that I don’t trust Trustwallet and probably the presence of a fairly large number of different crypto wallets creates fierce competition between them, i.e. their creators improve them and customize them. Moreover, no one is immune from errors, and over time (with the development of our knowledge, training) it becomes easier to identify bugs/features in the old code of wallets, smart contracts, etc.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: bullish 2024 ! on: March 11, 2024, 06:29:08 PM

I think there is still time if anyone hasn't joined the market yet. Usually the actual bull season starts when bitcoin crosses its previous all time high. When this happens bitcoin rallies up more than 20% in a week and then it consolidates, leading the whole altcoin market in FOMO and retail investors start to join the market in a hurry. All these just push the market to a new stage where the mainstream media started to talking about bitcoin again and exchanges goes down due to the high traffic.

Bitcoin has crossed its all the time high value so it means that Bull run has started but we cannot say that now no one should buy any coin as still there is an opportunity that every coin will increase from current price to huge gain.

People were first afraid about bitcoin investment and when price get dip from 69k$ in previous days then their trust decreases but market again showed that bitcoin is a volatile but a better source of earning and no matter how harsh the situations are there will be no change in its success.
I’ll repeat again, but I already wrote that now the entry point into BTC is very high, just like in ETH. In such a market, trust is not important, cold calculation is important, because you can catch liquidation on both short and long positions. Now I see trading with minimal TP and SL, it is better to earn $50-100 than to lose $1000.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not try out a less popular but promising token? on: March 10, 2024, 07:51:25 PM
That's not the only reason that a lot of us are afraid of new and "promising" tokens, remember that most of them if not all aren't really promising and they're just like that because someone said so about that token and because those people are early adopters that will stand to gain the most when that token is shilled to a lot of people. Another thing that would make it difficult for someone to invest in those tokens is that there's a lot of them in the market everyday and you don't know which one's you're going to put your money into and it's probably going to take you a long time to make a profit in any of them because they're most likely the kind that would take their time in growing and it's really difficult for some of them to get in if you want an airdrop, they make you jump through hoops to garner engagement from the people and at the same time you're actively evading scams and phishing links that latch on to this airdrops.
But there is no other way to find a project to invest in: we either base our choice on our knowledge of the project/technology or rely on the opinions of other people (influencers and/or analysts). For investment, projects can be divided into two categories: those that already have their own token and those that are just planning to launch it. As practice shows, namely the last six months, early investors have a very good profit. And airdrop is a great way to receive project tokens, but it requires time and at least a small investment at the pre-launch/testnet stage.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out cons of altcoins? on: March 09, 2024, 06:03:39 PM
I don't agree with you. Without understanding the final product (its technical component), but only on information about the project team, it is short-sighted to make investments. There are quite a lot of talkers and “effective” managers who only talk, but cannot implement the product for years so many. Of course, it is necessary to study the project team, look through the Githubs of programmers, and find out the list of investors. Therefore, many factors must be taken into account, even if it seems complicated.

I believe I have mentioned about following up on the developments of the project to understand whether the team and the developers are serious about the project and whether all the developments are going according to the plan they have provided publicly. I don't think that a person needs to understand the technical side of a project to understand whether it has potential or not, and by the technical side I mean the technical stuff mentioned by them like in the whitepaper or GitHub or anywhere.
If you understand the vision of the project, what it aims to offer, and whether it is going according to the plan and the roadmap with complete transparency, that is enough for you to determine whether the project has got potential or not.
In this case, it is better to rely on the opinion of other people who are better versed in technology, since a beginner does not understand anything about the whitepaper of the project, but wants to become a low-bank investor and make money quickly. Because relying only on reports from the project team that it is achieving some success and following the roadmap is stupid.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto arbitrage question on: March 08, 2024, 03:08:10 PM
Hi

On exchange (A) XMR/BTC - 0.00045. exchange (B) 0.0022. There is a arbitrage opportunity here BUT will the profit be base on the XMR/BTC or the BTC current rate on the two exchanges. Because it seem you have to buy with BTC not XMR.

I hope my question makes sense.

Regards
Andrew

Arbitration is most often a short-term event because otherwise it was free money for everyone. Most often this is due to the lack of withdrawal of the target coin on one exchange and its unlimited deposit/withdrawal on another. Very rarely does this happen when a coin is listed on different exchanges at different times or insider information affects the price. First, check the possibility of withdrawal on one exchange and the possibility of depositing on another, and then make a decision.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Here is why people make money from Airdrops on: March 06, 2024, 07:50:16 PM
The airdrop work is quite extensive. Nowadays, as far as I know, there are many ways in which the project reaches out to the community.

I think airdrops are also a way for the team to attract more investors. Some people tend to associate legitimacy to those projects who give off if benefits for free. However some you might find that the airdrops they are willing to give are so huge so we still must stay alert at all times. Airdrops are a good source of money but don’t be too blinded that you don’t see carlos anymore.
It's just that new airdrops - from the end of last year until now - are more often than not disappointing for many participants. I can give examples of Starknet, SmartLayer, QnA3; angry discussions are already beginning on Wormhole in the DC. Modern airdrops require financial investment (staking and delegation), even daily clicks require payment to the fee's. Of course, there are still some projects that reward their users free of charge, but these are becoming fewer and fewer.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you find out cons of altcoins? on: March 05, 2024, 07:03:49 PM
You don't need to get into the technicals of a project to understand whether it has potential or not, you should check whether it has a good team, and you can check that by doing some research on the team members to see which projects they have been working with in the past and whether those projects were successful or not. If you don't find anything convincing, the project must not be very impressive.
Other than that, you can follow up on their developments and how they keep their community engaged, their social media handles should give this up. If you don't see much reactions and organic followers for the project, it probably means it isn't interesting.
I don't agree with you. Without understanding the final product (its technical component), but only on information about the project team, it is short-sighted to make investments. There are quite a lot of talkers and “effective” managers who only talk, but cannot implement the product for years so many. 29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrency. on: March 04, 2024, 06:20:45 PM
The future of cryptocurrency is very bright, when it comes to financial sector and is a global digital assets that acceptable as one amount price at any given time of trading, investment and rewards payment system as the case may be. Therefore, the future of cryptocurrency is beyond what human expected from the outcome of price increase.
There is a direct relationship here: fewer usage opportunities = fewer transactions. It is difficult for an ordinary person to use something (crypto) that at the end of the transaction (even if it is a few seconds or a minute) may already cost more or less than the original cost of the product. After all, when we pay for something, consciously or subconsciously, the cost of the goods is converted by us into USD. And 1$ is always 1$.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget Bitcoin - Memecoins Like Pepe, FLOKI and Bonk Are the Big Gainers Now on: March 04, 2024, 03:52:02 PM
Maybe now there are many meme projects that are rising very quickly, like Pepe and others. but don't forget Bitcoin.  Cheesy Bitcoin is still the best.

Could we see Dogecoin reclaim its former glory as the king of memecoins? Or will newcomers like Pepe, FLOKI, WIF and Bonk continue to steal the spotlight?

Maybe we need Elon musk's voice to raise Dogecoin again
Roll Eyes But I'm sure Doge can shine again. I see Doge is slowly getting better and I am sure he will become king.

I was a little horrified to notice the new arrival coin. Because coin competition is getting hotter and most new coins just can survive for a while and then disappear. I prefer coins that are old so we can see the history of their curve. This is why I didn't get a moment with Pepe. But I would rather be safe than have a heart attack when something I hope for doesn't come true.
I also wanted to give this as an example Smiley
The OP’s question is a little meaningless because any memecoin can fly to the moon on the background of a simple mention or some positive news, or it can perform a rug pull. You can invest in memcoins, but only if they are not yet on hype and have a very low cost or you received them as an airdrop (for example, $WEN).

32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My thoughts on the latest news about TON on: March 01, 2024, 01:18:41 PM
The exact numbers of target audience coverage and the ratio of their % to rewards are not yet known. Of course, a bunch of fake channels with a bot farm will appear. I think TON developers should take this factor into account. For myself, I see an excellent opportunity to invest in TON now (albeit belatedly), because I think it can easily give x10 within a year.

You are absolutely right. I am currently a TON holder because I believe Telegram has a connection with TON. To be honest, I was shocked by this news because I didn't understand TON in such detail. But for now TON is showing positive results. But I think it's the projects inside that are more interesting. I think they will have great potential in the future.
For myself, I see the prospect of TON and can give a direct analogy with BNB. At the beginning it cost $0.2, then $2, and later it approached $20 and made a dizzying rise of $200/300/400/500. I see in TON an equally strong infrastructure token that can provide good profits in the near future. Moreover, he has an excellent background in the form of Telegram with its multi-million audience.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: On a scale of 1-10, how confident are you in your holdings? on: March 01, 2024, 12:10:04 PM
Must have high self-confidence because you have made your choice and have considered all the good and bad, for me now it is too late if you regret your choice, for example you want to move to another altcoin, my advice is that it is better to hold on until the peak of the bull run and as long as the coin what you have does not reduce the value of your assets. You don't need to worry too much
If the value of assets has increased or fallen by the same value of points, that is, their equivalent in $ remains the same, but has changed quantitatively, then it does not matter in which market (bullish/bearish) to make the transition. For myself, I make a choice in favor of native blockchain's coins in relation to project's tokens.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My thoughts on the latest news about TON on: February 29, 2024, 05:34:55 PM

what you are saying is that TON and SEC are collaborating in creating this token. if so then that means Gary is holding a huge bag of TON and he is profiting from this. and this time they are trying to distribute TON for its adoption to the users of telegram.

with this news, i think we will be seeing a lot of podcasters and influencers going to be creating their own channel to develop and make a profit through their channel with TON.
The exact numbers of target audience coverage and the ratio of their % to rewards are not yet known. Of course, a bunch of fake channels with a bot farm will appear. 35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin’s Soaring Heights and the Unpredictable Journey Ahead on: February 28, 2024, 07:37:41 PM
Don't only treat Bitcoin as a price indicator, also invest in it, because over the years since it's creation, it has proven to be the most reputable crypto coin, and with it's increasing adoption has proved that it's value will keep increasing as the years goes by. I believe that Bitcoin has taken care of any fear of the risk of turning to shitcoin or dip to the price of it's early days, because it's decentralized and it's the forces of supply and demand that determines it's bull and bear seasons, and as more people are adopting it the value will keep increasing, therefore we should expect the price to keep reaching a new ATH during it's bull runs. Bitcoin is the best digital asset that anybody can invest in.
It was necessary to invest in BTC much earlier. We are experiencing not the first cycle of a bull market or just another pump-dump. Now the entry point is too high, and investing less than 0.5 BTC may be unpromising. We see how the BTC price is manipulated - in a few minutes the price from 63,500+ fell to 60,000, and this is a large amount for a small and medium-sized investor. I'm not even talking about liquidating long positions...
36  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: February 27, 2024, 06:32:08 PM
In this case, the idea can be developed further: if a team is from a small town and plays in the third or fourth league, then it is easier to agree on a fake match. And an experienced bookmaker will be able to make good advertising and attract a lot of bets. But this, of course, would be a scam with great risk, and it can only be done successfully once or twice. And in this context, I will “paraphrase” one of the participants in our forum with his strategies for betting on an outsider.
Not a fake match but it's a sold one. Those type of matches truly happens in those type of leagues where the tier is for the lower ones.
As a bettor, I'd avoid those type of leagues because they're prone to selling matches and your bet might not be justifiable if you lose it when you have the idea that it was once a sold game and your money doesn't even able to fight for it.
I agree with you, I was just trying to show that "team from small town" is not always a positive thing. In such leagues, the favorite can “accidentally” lose to the underdog with a significant score, or we can see own goals with a huge coefficient. By the way, fake games are typical and for e-sports, and also in the lower leagues. Betting on sports is similar to betting in a casino - no matter what strategies you follow, there is a very high chance of losing.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cash (Paper Money) vs Monero on: February 27, 2024, 06:06:38 PM
This is like comparing old school criminal organizations and the new school hehe. Cold cash for the OGs while XMR for the new bloods. I guess I could use XMR if paper money will be out of circulation but the question is will anyone accept XMR as payment? We all know regulator are trying their best to crack Monero's code and they will surely try to police all establishments that will accept crypto. P2P may be the only option but how long will that last?
This is exactly what I always mention in the context of the use of cryptocurrencies in general as a means of payment. We can have as many cryptos as we want (anonymous or not), but we still have to pay for more than 95% of goods and services with fiat money or e-cash. Most likely, we still have to go through the stage with the widespread introduction of CBDCs, and only after that we will be able to move on to everyday settlements in crypto. Of course, I mean we are talking about legal goods and services.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not the future, it is the present on: February 26, 2024, 06:14:58 PM
In every aspect of the crypto age, certain masses adapt to the system in droves after each halving. Although each individual's expectations from the crypto market are different, as a result, most people are now more aware of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies than before. Of course, many people still need to adopt it. In fact, we can say that we are in the first age of the crypto age. As usage and adoption increases, the era will move forward.
The BTC halving is definitely not a trigger for interest in cryptocurrencies in general. Even in this cycle, it was the anticipation of the ETF (not even the adoption itself) that was more decisive. Mass adoption should be aimed at using cryptocurrencies in everyday life, but at the moment cryptocurrencies are more used for investing or speculative trading. Now we will wait for the update of the ETH chain and the launch of new L2's with ZK-rollups, which should further add fuel to the fight for a larger TPS and therefore TVL.
39  Economy / Gambling / Re: My betting strategies on: February 26, 2024, 05:46:34 PM
If you have favorite team it is easy to search information - you know all about it. But it can be difficult for gambling - if it is famous enough team - every bookie knows such information and use it for calculating odds. So you can get big odd using some fans secret information - everybody knows when some big player is ill. But if you team is a small team from small town - it can be advantage.
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrency. on: February 25, 2024, 06:47:29 PM
There are so many crypto projects we need to hold that will give us what we need in the market and the kind of profits we want to be making if we know how to search and dyor about good projects in the market we can buy.
The market is going more bullish and for those that have good projects they are holding, they will benefit more in the market if they can keep holding without selling. Sometimes we might feel the pressure smto sell since we have small profits, don't sell and hold.
I partially agree with you do some extent, the crypto space has become so big that everyday projects are been created all promising a good future. with this finding the right project to invest on is likely very difficult to get even with our own researches.

At this point, we can only gamble on any of the crypto project that we fill is going to attain a good height but been definite with our research is quite impossible.

I also solidly disagree with the holding of new projects, I don't like to gamble or probably take risk but there are some that are absolutely not worth it, like holding a shitcoin it's more like increasing my stress holding potential coin battling with wallets that are compatible with all her shit coins will increase my stress.
If a project does not offer some technology, then there is little point in investing in it. On any blockchain (L1, L2 doesn’t matter) there are a large number of identical projects and this number continues to grow. For example, take swaps and bridges - they all provide the same functionality, but to be competitive they play with fees and points. Now it’s worth paying attention to projects in the field of homomorphic encryption (FHE), IMHO.
