Yes, this is evident without even having to dig very deep.

I did receive my BTC back for this reversed trade and immediately withdrew it from this exchange for obvious reasons. The issue is that because of P2PB2B not being able to solve this problem or even disclose it for weeks, Hempcoin is actually waiting on them to enable and execute withdrawals in order to migrate to the Komodo platform and perform their swap.

It will not matter to them that I executed this trade about 3 weeks ago in preparation for this swap and am now left with 0 ability to reacquire this position. That is, unfortunately, my problem and besides the point.

The bigger issue is the fact that they are trying to cover this up and reverse trades from 3 weeks ago to fix a mistake they made a few months ago. There has been no transparency or honesty coming from their end and this alone raises many red flags.

Another issue, many exchanges that get hacked are due to a new coin being introduced with malicious code or some sort of back door programmed in.

If they can't even set up Hempcoin properly and are sending free coins to users, allowing users to withdraw and spend these coins, mixing this whole mess in with legitimate trades and transactions, reversing trades from weeks ago, blocking, banning, and lying to "customers" to cover it up...  

How safe are your holdings with this company?

With the number of coins they are signing up on a daily basis, apparently whoever pays the fee, do you believe they have the technical capability to properly vet these projects and ensure your funds are safe?

I am fairly certain in the next couple of days/weeks I will see the rest of my legitimate trades reversed from 3 weeks ago and anticipate losing my entire position on this trade which again was 2.6 million (1% of the circulating supply).

Terrible experience with these guys.

After a more thorough investigation with other Hempcoin users, it appears that this may be a matter of technical incompetence that has put users funds at risk.

From what I have seen it appears that P2PB2B made a technical error with regards to the staking feature and have been sending free Hempcoins to users. Some of these users withdrew their free coins or sold them for BTC and now due to complete incompetence on their end they do not have the balance to cover legitimate pending withdrawals.

Instead of eating these losses due to their own incompetent tech team, they have decided to rollback legitimate trades from parties not involved in this tech error and canceling their orders from 2.5 weeks ago.

Additionally, instead of admitting their mistake, they have pretended that a fraudulent transaction took place. Here is their response to my support ticket.

"One of your buy orders from 2019-06-14 20:27:17 THC_BTC amounting to 565 343 THC was reverted in order to help you to avoid any financial losses. We discovered that THC`s, which the seller sold you during this deal, were obtained in a result of fraud. The amount of BTC you spent for this deal was credited to your account."

A quick check of any Hempcoin holders deposit history on P2PB2B will clearly show free coins being deposited over the last few months (appears to be from May 20th to June 2nd) and will look something like this.



To display this level of technical incompetence is a massive issue itself for any exchange.

To then lie to your users and try to cover your mistake instead of taking responsibility for your actions is shameful and it is no wonder they are using a Belize and Seychelles setup for the incorporation of their business. Only companies looking to avoid lawsuits or legal action would set up this type of infrastructure.

P2PB2B are incompetent from a technical and security standpoint and also lack the integrity and business ethics to handle other peoples money in my opinion.

To clarify* My account was never sent any free Hempcoins and my trades and attempted withdrawal are 100% legitimate and accurate. I did not even create an account with P2PB2B until June 12th and have nothing to do with these technical issues.

I recently purchased a large amount of Hempcoin from P2PB2B and after trying to withdraw from my fully verified account and after successfully sending a 600 Hempcoin test transaction, I tried to withdraw my remaining balance.

The number of coins I tried to withdraw was 2.6 million (1% of the entire circulating supply)

This withdraw was delayed and showed a status of needing withdrawal from the cold wallet. This was on the 28th of June.

After waiting patiently for 3 days I contacted them through tickets, live help, and Telegram. They kept sending me the same reply on all channels "please wait". I waited another 24 hours and contacted them again, they reacted by blocking me on Telegram and disabling my ability to contact them through live help.

I reached out to Hempcoin developers, who I have known for years and work closely with, and I was informed that he was also facing a similar problem and could not withdraw his coins either.

P2PB2B then took the Hempcoin wallet offline and disabled deposits and withdrawals.

After waiting nearly two weeks I log in today to check my balance and 600k coins are missing from my balance and I receive an email saying "Hello. Due to the discovery of the sale of unauthorized coins, one of your purchase transactions in the pair THC_BTC was rolled back."

I have been a coin dev since 2014 and have had trading accounts with many of the most popular exchanges. I have never had a withdrawal delayed for 2 weeks and never had trades that I made rolled back by an exchange because they don't have the balance to cover their trades.

I am accusing this exchange of theft, wash trading, and selling assets that they do not even own. Has anyone else experienced issues with this criminal operation?

After 5 long years, our relationship with Bittrex is, unfortunately, coming to an end.
I was informed this morning that this decision is final and all DopeCoin holders are instructed to remove their coins from the exchange by the delisting date.

Don't panic.

We are available for trading on Mercatox and available for Atomic swaps on Komodo. Additionally, we are having great discussions with several exchanges at the moment and negotiating listing terms.

The DopeCoin project is not going anywhere, in fact the exact opposite is about to occur.

Over the last 2 years, we have spent our time wisely developing our own payment gateway and advertising exchange which we are preparing to beta launch early next month. The purpose of this technology is not to simply exist and be added as an asset to our infrastructure but instead, we intend to completely disrupt several very large industries such as the legal marijuana industry and crypto, with our much needed technology.

There is no other cannabis cryptocurrency in existence that can compete with our technology.

With that being said, this past week has exposed some flaws in our infrastructure that we are rapidly working to correct.

One of those problems was allowing a 3rd party like Bittrex to be perceived as such a critical factor in our operation. The reality is that this is simply an exchange.
There are many exchanges including a whole bunch of new promising companies that will likely blow up during the next bull run.  We will not make this mistake again and are actively communicating with several exchanges with regards to listing.

Another issue that we need to address immediately is our community building.

I will admit over the last year I dropped the ball on this and instead focused heavily on developing our tech and racing to get it ready for market as soon as possible. In reality, I am more of a tech recluse and I recognize my lack of skillset in the community building department.
Luckily, we have some great community members who are awesome at this and are stepping up to the plate to tackle this issue head-on. We have had some legends take on this task in the past such as @DopeCoinDude  and @Goldie. and we will surely see new champions emerge over the coming months.

With that being said we are looking for the communities help and already have plans for massive giveaways and the approval and funding of community-driven projects.

We have some amazing technology preparing to launch and massive partnerships pending that we expect to announce within the next month in combination with Tier 1 media coverage.

What a great opportunity to capture new community members and breath new life into our project.

Additionally, we will be hiring a full time dedicated community manager over the coming weeks to ensure our chances of success and to attack this problem head-on.

Our team is deep in discussions at the moment deciding if our best move is to simply leave DopeCoin the way it is and get on new exchanges, rebrand/upgrade the technology and then get new exchange listings, or simply rebrand Dopecoin using the existing tech and get on new exchange listings.

I am thrilled to announce that today is DopeCoin’s 5th year company anniversary!

I’d like to personally thank everyone who has joined us on this adventure. Without your enthusiasm and support, this project would simply not exist.

When DopeCoin launched on February 15th of 2014 we were naive with not only our choice of brand name but also our understanding of how to drive real-world use to our cryptocurrency.

Our original plan was to have DopeCoin accepted in several online shops, garner some mainstream media attention, and watch as the masses began buying marijuana-related purchases with our coin. Simultaneously we aimed to provide banking solutions for the marijuana industry which was, at that time, blacklisted from conventional business banking solutions.

The problem was….

Even after being featured on Fox News, Huffington Post, PC Mag, and others, the masses were not lining up and using crypto to make purchases and marijuana companies were showing zero interest in using any kind of marijuana-related crypto as a banking solution.

The reality of the situation is that we were too early.

In fact, not a single marijuana-related crypto has been successful at gaining any sort of meaningful traction with regards to real-world use.

Furthermore, the business model of trying to provide a banking solution for the marijuana industry has not happened and likely will never happen.

As legalization continues to spread across North America and beyond, we are already seeing banks who are opening their doors to this quickly emerging industry.

I will be the first to admit that our original business model has been a failure.

So where do we go from here?

The answer is simple, we innovate and adapt.

I wanted to give you a project update and answer a couple of questions you might have.

The Grow Advertising project continues full speed and we are now working to give the platform an upgraded UI and UX.
We are currently working on finishing up our private placement memorandum, pitch deck, and investment pitch video as we prepare to solicit investment from VC and/or private equity partners.

Simultaneously, steps are being taken to begin the process of forking and rebranding DopeCoin to GrowCoin to compliment the launch of the platform itself.

There is a lot of work to do still including building new websites and marketing material, preparing our existing technology and exchange partners, setting up a corporate structure, building a team, securing investment, and much more.

In order to properly see this project come to life and reach its full potential, we have expanded the scope of our original vision and as a result, the launch of the platform will take a little bit longer.
Instead of focusing solely on the marijuana industry, we have now expanded our reach to include all blacklisted industries including:

Marijuana
Crypto
Vape/E-cig
Gambling/Betting
Big Pharma
Alcohol, and more.

I will admit that financially, the ICO funds that we raised lost nearly 90% of their value and those funds ran out months ago.

An airdrop is scheduled for later today and the swap process will be incredibly easy and require 0 actions to be taken by the coin holder.
So basically, all existing holders and addresses that carry SMX will be airdropped the new token. The SMX will then be obsolete and the GROW token will take its place. The airdrop and smart contract are designed to distribute that new token at an exact 1:1 ratio, so there will be no new tokens created or destroyed in this process, and once completed all holders will have the exact amount of GROW as they had in SMX.

Mercatox exchange and Barterdex have both been contacted and will be freezing the wallets to accommodate the process. Once the process is complete, GROW will begin trading in its place.

I would certainly be up for discussion, DopeCoin will be rebranded and receive a technology upgrade in the very near future. This could potentially be a mutually beneficial idea for both communities and development teams.
The difficult part is that I have tried emailing and contacting their admin for around 6 months and only received one reply saying that this was going to be forwarded to the team. I followed up twice but the trail went cold.

The reality that I am certain of is that there will be a large, well funded, big time marijuana brand, entering the marketplace in the near future. 

The only way to compete with this foe is to have a solid team of developers, business development expertise, marketing, cash flow management, legal, constant technical innovation, and real-world use.
Why? Because a big boy like Weedmaps, Leafly, High Times etc will have all of these components and much more.

Can you imagine the amount of cash that would be raised in an ICO for one of these brands?
As soon as this happens, anyone who is not serious about their technology and the establishment of a real-world use will be obliterated.

The cold, hard, unforgiving, truth of the situation is that NONE of the marijuana crypto coins are going to ever provide a banking solution for the marijuana industry.
Yes, there is still some red tape in the industry and challenges are being faced, but that is quickly going to be cleared up and institutional banking will certainly come in to provide a solution to that billion dollar industry.
