Depends on the potential of the token received. If the token received have a high potential, unique and can be used by people in the future with active dev team I am hodling it and even bought more. But if the token received have less potential of success I immediately sel it and bought other good token.

I never provide my KYC especially in airdrops because most airdrops nowadays are scam. Better avoid giving personal details because it is against the purpose of blockchain. I think you already did a nice decision of hodling 8 ETH. For $250 I think is it fine keeping it as bitcoin. If you have some more capital you can try to invest on some promising ICO's but make do a deep research first about the project to prevent being scammed.
