Hello, I bought a protective surge of 850W. But I have a 1000W power source. And it is likely that my rig consumes close to 1000W Is it dangerous to connect it with the voltage protector? Should I buy another one obligatorily?

If you're getting the D3s for $300 USD each, they're going to provide the best $/performance out of all the miners you listed- the S9 does better in terms of $/month on free power (D3- ~$100/mo, S9- ~$195/mo according to Nicehash), but it's not worth paying so much extra for a bit more performance when you can get 3 D3s for about the same price as a single S9 and make much more than just one S9. You're also going to make the fastest return on your money compared to everything else you listed getting the D3s- According to Nicehash, you're getting about $100 per month per miner, so you break even in ~3 months.
I would advise against getting GPUs right now the way things are going currently. FPGAs are running rampant and ASICs are actively being produced for just about every popular algo you can think of.
i understand what you say, and also think about the same way that d3 are most profitable of the 3 options, now what i would like to study is if atm profitability will be the same in 3-5 months from now, obviously no, but i have to decide which one may be most profitable in the long run. What do you think? I am also from Venezuela and I will tell you my case, I decided to diversify the investment. I have 6 RX 580, and also about 2 D3.
I tell you that the E3 is not an ASIC. It's just a disguised mining rig.
Anything you send me MP and we exchange some tips
How are the atminers d3 working for you? how much did you buy them for? i was looking at eastshore.xyz and seems good price and some people here have already bought from them I bought each one in 700, with power supply included

I open this post to ask about this. Because watching several Youtube videos I realize that some miners feed their PCI-e with satas and others simply do not. Is it necessary or not to feed them with electricity?
if you are talking about PCIE-adapter that will connect the GPUs to the motherboard, you would need it to power. Yes, but I have seen miners that feed into GPUs without powering the PCI-E adapter, but I better not risk it and do what you say The risers sold on web comes with Sata connector. The PSU sold on web comes with Sata cables. Why you don't want to use them? Are you trying to save on electricity? In a way yes, I have 6 rx 580 and two power supplies of 1000w, but I would like the 6 to work with a single power supply Because that way I avoid having to bridge the power suplies

Hello, I wanted to know if someone with experience could help me a little.
I did not know whether to put this in mining or pool. But since nicehash is a pool I decided to put it here
I have a rig of 6 gpu's. I do not know if installing the simplemining linux
Or install windows and then install nicehash
That would be more profitable

In support of my [CryptoNight] CPU mining guide & coins that will get you a return thread I've decided to create a thread where I will list all of the CryptoNight coins that have forked, type of algorithm they're currently on and if they are ASIC resistant or not. I hope other people will find this helpful too as I know a lot of people in my CPU mining thread are interested in this. -------------------------------------------------------------- Coin Name | | ASIC resistant? | | Current Algorithm | MONERO | Yes | CN v7 | ITALO | Yes | CN v7 | TRITON | Yes | CN-LITE | IRIDIUM | Yes | CN-LITE | SUMO | Yes | CN-Heavy | LOKI | Yes | CN-Heavy | OMBRE | Yes | CN-Heavy | SOLACE | Yes | CN-Heavy | | | |
-------------------------------------------------------------- Feel free to bookmark this thread and propose new coins that should be added to the list. Very good list, you should also include all the equihash algorithm coins resistant to ASIC's. As for example the Bitcoin Gold

Hello, a few days ago I decided to buy my "friend" two D3 for 700 dollars each .. But I just realized that I do not know what the hell I'm doing Is there any way to lower the noise? maybe lowering the fan to 70% I have the 2 ASICs in a room completely made of concrete. I do not know if it's a good cold transmitter I have an AC of 14 Btu, maybe I could lower the temperature of the room to 17 degrees Is it advisable to lower the fan rotation if the room is cool? Thank's for your help Sorry for the spanish tittle

How are the electric price in the USA? Here in northern europe price is skyrocketing due to frozen lakes and that we have to import power due to closing nuclear reactors. Im curreltly on all time high costs of 0.5dollar/kWh. Its crazy, this cannot continue or im out of buissnies.
In Virginia, I am paying $0.11/kWh which I suppose is neither good nor bad. Here in Venezuela we are paying $0.0001/kWh

I explain my case, a friend offered me 2 D3 for 700 dollars with power sources included. But I do not know almost about ASICs. I do not know how to refrigerate them. But I would like to know how much it produces, I have 0 dollars of electric expenses. Should I buy them? dude dont listen to these guys... buy those 2 off from him for 500usd and then you will make 4,50usd per day per asic... so ROI 57 days... (based on that you dont pay electricity) given your situation I would do it... ^^^ Listen to this guy. It won't be 4.5 always but if electricity is free... I'm worried about the refrigeration ... In my country it's usually 33 degrees. I could make it work in an empty room with all the windows open (practically outdoors) Or buy me an air conditioner?

Buy $700.00 worth of Dash instead... ..... And then, find a new "Friend"
What would be the real price? $0 It's pretty much worthless unless you need a heater to keep from freezing to death. The difficulty of dash vs price is such that you won't likely make your money back. It's not profitable in 6 moths?

A SATA max can support 75 watt and maximum you can power a riser from it as a riser itself takes 75 watt. The VGA 8 or 6 pin cable ,usually 8 pin is to be connected direclty to the GPU, a 8 pin pcie cable can give up to 200 watt in power.
From my personal experience the IT before me working in my place had made some changes to the PSU cables and it had connected three 6 pins cables meaning 3 GPU-s to the same SATA cable and gave 450 watt in power connected to a 75 watt cable. That ended in the destroying of the PSU completely , PSU was a thermaltake 700watt. Always talk with some friend of yours which is IT or works in the IT field when asking technical advice. You can PM me, while I don't promise to answer right away, you will receive your answer within a few days.
Thank you bro. Your help is very apreciated. Do you know a good voltmeter model? When I connect everything I would like to observe what is consuming my rig
