How much will we pay for file storage in the decentralized Callisto Network? What size can the file be?

Storage aside from a completely refundable deposit. Users must hold tokens while they need storage and bandwidth and may sell tokens when storage and bandwidth is no longer required.

Repeat the mother of learning?

I think that the game of questions - the answers will help Newbie stop writing different nonsense. The head hurts after reading what they write Smiley

Is this the case for the Ethereum Commonwealth file storage solution? They wrote something else about SWARM. What is it?

Ethereum: SWARM
Swarm is a distributed storage platform and content distribution service, a native base layer service of the ethereum web 3 stack. The primary objective of Swarm is to provide a sufficiently decentralized and redundant store of Ethereum's public record, in particular to store and distribute DApp code and data as well as block chain data.
At the moment of writing, SWARM is still in development. SWARM suffers the problem of micropayments, which does not have an effective solution in systems with non-zero transaction fees.

EOS.IO Storage is a proposed decentralized file system designed to give everyone the ability to permanently store and host files accessible by any web browser. Unlike some other proposed alternatives, there would be no upfront fee or ongoing charge for storage or bandwidth on EOS.IO Storage aside from a completely refundable deposit.

The EOS.IO file system was used as a basis for the development of Callisto file system.

This is the most important thing for us in my opinion.

I agree with you and fully support in this decision the team of Callisto. For this project, we must take the best.

Another goal of Callisto Network is the implementation of experimental
protocols, which are a combination of core features implemented in smart-contracts and merged protocol-level configuration.
An important point is the ability to implement key platform features using built-in mechanisms: ie smart-contracts.

Callisto Network is intended to solve this problem for CLO and ETC ecosystems with an "Official Smart-contract Auditing Department of CLO & ETC". This represents a completely free opportunity for a professional smart-contract developer to audit their smart-contract.

A standard procedure of secure smart-contract development for the ETC & CLO ecosystem will be developed. This standard procedure will include auditing of smart-contracts. Usually, auditing is quite expensive and some developers neglect it before launching their smart contracts.

Utilizing capabilities of the Callisto Network, we aim to establish a free-for-all system of smart-contract auditing.
1. A registration of audited smart-contracts will be created.
Every smart-contract that successfully passes the security audit will receive an official audited status. Otherwise, the contract will remain non-audited by default.
2. Everyone will be allowed to submit auditing requests and this is completely free for smart-contract developers.
3. A full-time team of smart-contract auditors will be hired to review each request for a smart-contract. This takes time, but it is better to do this than to launch a smart-contract with a critical vulnerability that will result in millions of dollars with the potential to be lost or stolen.
4. Smart-contract auditors will be paid with CLO from the Callisto Network treasury funds.
5. ETC and CLO smart-contract auditing requests will be accepted for free. We aim to improve the security of ETC ecosystem.

This is even more important since we plan to implement Callisto Network core features with built-in Callisto capabilities i.e. smart-contract systems.

Hence, smart contracts will be checked. It's good. This will enable the investor to assess the risks of investing in either project.

Smart-contract security is critical for most blockchain DApp development platforms. The main goal of this organization is to improve the security of the Ethereum Classic and Callisto ecosystem by providing free security audits for smart-contract developers.
The smart-contract auditing organization is scalable, which means it allows to hire, manage and pay security audits of any smart-contracts written in any language depending on demand and community needs.

True, the more number of users will store their files, the more CLO will be frozen by the smart contract.
So these CLO for file storage must first be purchased on the exchange.

Quite right. Anyone who wants to hide their personal information in Callisto Network will need to buy a CLO. And to store these data there will be nodes which we will choose through DAO (I so understood).

It's not clear to me. Who will have the right to vote in the DAO? How will I be asked to add a new node to the network? How will the payment for the work of the node be determined in the network?

Callisto Network is a blockchain platform with its own cryptocurrency (CLO) that is based on Ethereum protocol, so any Callisto improvements can be applied to Ethereum Classic. Callisto is NOT a testnet or a hardfork of Ethereum Classic. Callisto Network is developed by Ethereum Commonwealth, one of three ETC development teams.

Callisto is NOT a testnet or a hardfork of Ethereum Classic.

This indicates that changes are made to the blockchain, or will be made in the future, different from the original.

This phrase says that Callisto did not keep the balance sheets of the holders of internal network tokens. Fork or hard fork changes the software, and balances are saved.

I somewhere read that Callisto is a side-chain ETC. Does this mean that payments between these networks will be possible?

With these "-chain" completely confused! For example, what difference does it make to me? I know what the developers promised me and it suits me!

If everything suits, then just accumulate more CLO)))

Are you also an investor in Callisto? Have you been interested in this project for a long time?

the site really looks very good! You can see that it worked on experienced designers in the field of web programming

Soon the site will look much better))) On August 1, planned release of a new design for the site.
That is a great news to all! They are not stopping to improve and enchance their technology. They wanted to become valuable to all investors what they invested to this project.

In my opinion. It is important for investors to see the team's professionalism, its attention to detail. A good site is one of the components of success.

When the team is small, there may not be enough time for everything. Although, in general, you are right.

You can order the development of the site from third-party developers. I think that it would not cost more than 120000 CLO.

If you are developing a crypto project, then you can not engage temporary workers. Little whether what "black door" they leave in the code!

But it's true! Could there be cases when the ICO was losing money because of the spoofing of the addresses associated with it? If, for example, you can change the information on the site, then you can play with the price of the CLO!

It is difficult to build a reliable team from a distance. The team should work in constant contact. Some minor tasks (pictures, texts, parts of code, etc.) can be ordered on the side.

Hello! You can congratulate me. I also became a CLO holder!

Congratulations! I'm sure that you will not lose on these investments. This project is the first to offer a service for everyone, not a game for a small circle of enthusiasts.

Thanks for the compliments Smiley
What do you mean by "first real service"? Cold Staking?

Thanks for the link. Does this information only mean that the CLO can be anonymous? A bit unclear.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW][CLO] Callisto Network on: July 05, 2018, 09:23:50 AM
Who need this CLO with low price :-)
And where trading real CLO?  Yobit don't offer :-)

If you did not take your coins from "staking" for a year, you will lose%.
If you did not confirm the extension of the term "staking" in a month, then% cease to accrue.
These are the features of the language of smart contracts. It is necessary to write down the data, so that a smart contract can take them into account.

Fund CLO for distribution among participants "staking" is formed from deductions of the miners from each found block.
This is a big plus of the Callisto Network.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW][CLO] Callisto Network on: July 05, 2018, 08:41:19 AM
A staker MUST NOT deposit funds into the Staking Contract during the locking period. Depositing funds will cause the reinitialization of stakers entry and renewal of the locking period.

Who can explain this to me?

Once you click stacking, on classic ether wallet (the feature Will coming soon for testnet). Do not stack any other coin before maturation (about 172.600 block)

If you put more coin and click stacking again, the maturation Will restart and you have to start from beginning, wait 172.600 block right after you click stacking for the last one

If you replenish the balance, then you overwrite information about yourself in a smart contract. And, therefore, the countdown begins again. So?
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POW][CLO] Callisto Network on: July 05, 2018, 07:09:18 AM
Each staker can independently claim their reward at any time after the locking period. The staking reward depends on the amount of CLO that are currently in the Cold Staking Contract. As a result, the reward of each staker depends on other stakers claims. We rely on the assumption that with a sufficiently high distribution of claims over time, Cold Stakers have a high probability of receiving a reward close to the expected value.

I try to translate it into my own language and it does not work. It remains a feeling that not all the results are precisely defined and they can change depending on the circumstances.

The question is interesting.

As I think, for example (I do not claim the truth in the last instance):
1. The total amount received from the miners CLO, we know after counting the number of blocks.
2. We do not know how many CLO and how many holders will participate.
3. We do not know how many and when they will take CLO.

All this creates uncertainty. Probably.
so it means all those clo coin  you put in the networkand if you not going to claim it going to block it become useless?all blocks is depending how many are going to participate or investing?

If you did not take your coins from "staking" for a year, you will lose%.

Thank you, sir, for this addition. Now this point in the article has become almost understandable. I will read further and, perhaps, I will have some more questions.

What article are we talking about? Give please the link. I also want to read.

I'm reading this article https://news.callisto.network/callisto-network-cold-staking-protocol/
I'm trying to translate it into my native language.

Thanks for the link. I will also begin to study the Cold Staking Contract.
The idea of translating into your language is good.
What language are you translating into?

The network often appears news about the vulnerability of erc 20 in contracts. what say about this?

This is one of the components of this project. Now there is a set of programmers who will audit all smart contracts on the network! For participation in the audit they will receive a reward!
I also heard about it. Do you have a link to the official news?

I'm sorry. I'm too lazy to look. But all this information is on their website. And this topic has been talked about more than once.

I see that this project will create, among other things, the ability to create anonymous applications. Enabling the encryption protocol is a very good step!

I think that not on the roadmap. This projects are for smart contract auditing.

Are you sure your comment are about Callisto network?

I'm talking about Callisto Network. Do not you know that they are planning to develop a protocol that will allow you to encrypt user data?

So you can not only store data, but also encrypt them before posting for storage! Then all this history with replacement of cloud services is clear!
