I haven’t been a participant in the crypto market back in 2013 but I sometimes checked about the news about bitcoin. Definitely those were less crazy back in the days because there weren’t much coins before and crypto wasn’t known to the mass public that much. Also, less crazy days doesn’t mean that bitcoin was stable. We have seen bitcoin lose a lot of its value back then too.

There is no doubt that bitcoin will touch a new ATH but when it will do that is unknown. Man experts predicted that bitcoin will reach $50,000 by the end of this year. Also we won’t be seeing a huge jump in the price of altcoins anytime soon. The only way bitcoin can reach to a new ATH is through mass adoption and support of the government.

Bitcoin market is highly manipulated by the whales. There will be little to no effect in bitcoin’s performance by any country’s government. But if US imposes some regulations then it might be more reliable and will be adopted by the general mass. Some experts believe that US dollars might fall soon because of an increasing amount of US debt and are advising to move to bitcoin.

About the regret part, I'd say that an investor should not think too much about other coins. In the market, many coins will go up and many will go down. None of these stays the same. So, an investor should not regret if any coin goes up on which he didn't invest. He should have faith on the coins he invested on.
