21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 24, 2014, 03:34:50 PM
As I told you the premine was divided between the devs, I sold my part for 8btc I can show you the wallet and I'm ready to reinvest it in Silkcoin. And judgecrypto was not on the dev team.
So what do we do now? We need good devs and fast..
Sorry but HOW come NONE of the DEV's can confirm this.....

Earlier today, there was a public CHAT with 3 of the Dev's and all of them have replied they did NOT get any of this premine! Seems you just dumped the coins and made minimum of 8 BTC!!!

Besides this, the DEV NOW comes forward with that he is not really a coder.... the initial launch of the coin was a scam, just a simple copy of another coin with some graphics and gui.... must admit you are good at hiding things and turning it all around in your own benefit!

you keep getting confused m8 ,

ME , Wulf and judge are NOT DEVS and never have been ,
Ahh that was a wrong assumption, sorry for that... apologies

Before you guys get your pitchforks out at least clarify the situation. The dev at least had the balls to come back and say here's what happened. He could've just sold everything and vanished, or tried to.
We have "proof" he is lying, none of the other dev's have been in contact with him nor did they leave the dev team as he said!

Besides this, the premine was moved to Mintpal account (more than 3 times this has been confirmed).

The DEV needs to show some proof of his actions, a screenshot would NOT do it as he can Photoshop it! He needs to transfer the amount to an OFFLINE wallet, then give it an "LABEL"  so we can see it's not to another online (exchange) wallet!
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 24, 2014, 03:22:10 PM
Update about the current situation :

We posted no official statements here first of all. I have some very bad news..

I was very busy the last 2 days because 3 of the devs left the team. We are now only two left and it's impossible that we respect the timeframe without the help of other devs. We also discovered a big bug, the second the community will know about this it will be dump time.

They left because of a few big issues : they felt their work was not recognized for the last week they've been talking about that and the fud and the price crashing, they threatened to leave more then once.

But the main reason is we found 3 days ago a big flaw in the code. Fudders were right those devs were clumsy in their way of working, I just had neither the time neither the skills to check everything...

The private key problem raised my concerns since yes they were right, how could the dev do such an error? that's why I checked everything in the wallet and the code and I found out an enormous bug: transactions get confirmed à 0 confirms. This is a VERY BIG issue, they tried everything to fix it, without success and I have no news since more than 12 hours. You can try it in the wallet, 0 confirms. I spent all night trying to fix this and trying to find a solution.

I am not a dev myself, well I know how to code so I can check the overall code but can't code the eco-system or even advanced functions in the wallet.. Neither can I fix this bug. So really here I don't know what to do, no money left either as we had a LOT of expenses and never sold a single SC.

I'm deeply sorry, you know this was never the intent of this coin if it was I would've sold the premine at 8k sat.

We paid everything we owed all along including the occulus and everyone in time, and never touched the premine..
All devs took a part of the premine when they left since the wallet was shared, which was worth amost nothing compared to our costs since no buy orders were there to cover all the costs we had.

So I really don't know what to do no devs left except for me, I have ~8btc to reinvest in Silkcoin so I'm currently seeking some paid dev to continue this project.
Everyone learn this news at the same time... Once again sorry and I'm willing to find a solution with you all.

Sorry do you have some proof regarding this:
"We are now only two left and it's impossible that we respect the timeframe without the help of other devs. We also discovered a big bug, the second the community will know about this it will be dump time.

I have been in contact with CryptoJudge pretty long and I know he did NOT leave the Dev team for nothing. He left because you were not responding to anything for several days!

Besides this, can you PLEASE explain WHY the Premine was moved... THIS is the MAIN CONCERN, AT LEAST SHOW BY TRANSFERRING THE FULL AMOUNT TO ANOTHER WALLET WITH AN LABEL TO SHOW IT'S NOT BEEN SOLD OR AT AN EXCHANGE!!!
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 24, 2014, 02:54:45 PM
If all hell breaks loose - what would be a better choice for someone(s) with the skills to take over the source and make it what it was promised to be?
1) Continue under the name of SilkCoin or
2) Rebrand and relaunch?

I'm having trouble coming up with reasonable arguments for 1)
:/
Some people involved with the dev (scammed too) were discussing starting a new coin. More info to come within a week!
You have no proof about what you're saying.

Bring proof or don't spread FUD.
Did you even read back any of the last pages or specifically my posts.....?

I do not want everybody to leave and yes maybe the dev will show up.

however based upon current chat from (cryptyJudge, WulfCastle and other dev member) we can conclude they were NOT informed about premine movement. Also they did NOT hear any update for the last 4 days! Besides this, the MAC wallet update was promised Sunday but not delivered, the guy who compiled the other wallets was not contacted. Another fact, the Oculus rift (Poloniex promotion) was not payed from an Paypall or Creditcard but from BTC, due to not being able to transfer the money :S

last fact for me is, the dev DELETED his name at the Silkcoin Facebook page...... why on earth would he do that, as his name is already well known? Okey he could be willing to become unknown, however it is weird he is NOT responding to any of the other dev's emails (for over 2 days)!

That are the facts, not my opinion or whatever. It was publically discussed in the chatbox from CryptoJudge!!! Unless they are all part of a big P&D this is a well created SCAM from a young guy from France. All his info is posted several pages back, you can find out for yourself he has been trying to hide his information since yesterday (jsut after last premine was sold)!

Fuck off, I showed that a well known scammer was asking for jobs to be done on Silkcoin. What more do you want?

I already showed they used the same vo guy as two other scams. If I get called a Troll and pushed out from WANKERS like you what more can I do?
The VO was different and denied by the guy, they contacted him directly. Also the link to the job done for Silkcoin, you posted incorrect information that made you look like you were talking $#@#$@%.

Anyway your way of discussing something is not the best (softly said), if you want to convince somebody put good information and not write 1000+ messages that make hardly any sense. But again thanks for your comments, still doing my own research to this guy and related to the other coins, seems something is going on here but can't seem to find the link :S
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 24, 2014, 02:37:33 PM
Ah guys.. I saw so much coins fail and scammed in the last months.

In the end Community will take over. There are great people outside and the Community from Silkcoin is still strong enough.

I dont worry too much I have to say.

Already discussed, someone from the community decided to look into launching his/her own coin!
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 24, 2014, 02:33:38 PM
Everyone is selling, try to remeber how the rich list looked 2 weeks ago!

SILKCOIN IS A SCAM, GET OVER IT, LET IT DIE

http://explorer.silk-coin.com/richlist/

Rich list is screwed now... DEV SCAMMED EVERYONE...

COIN IS DEAD...

Thanks Megamouth Grollia shorts- you don't fool me for a second. Nice try though with your good cop bad cop. Been doing this way too long lol

I still don't get it where is the actual good argument of this as a scam.
- Showing rich list (god damn it, it changes every day, of course it will change a lot in two weeks, especially if there's a lot of market activity,  lol jesus christ wtf??)
- and somebody changed the name from C. Zruzoa or something to C.Z (yeah you still know he's last name)
- dev gone for more then 12hours? and there is a problem. DEV on some coins gone for like 10 days, people still didn't fud a scam.

Still don't get it where is the so called scam. Give me proof, good arguments, please change my opinion.
Sorry seems lots of people missed the chat that went on earlier, couple of facts.
- The guy who registered www.silk-coin.com has removed himself from the facebook page
- the Premine was moved to Mintpal, you can confirm this yourself by sending small amount and try to pull it back (you get message unable withdraw from Mintpal)
- The other 3 dev's have not been in contact with the "main" dev for 4 days
- The premine was moved without any of the other 3 dev's knowing
- The development page has not been update for over 4 days
- Compiling of the wallet is done by somebody else, he was not contacted to compile the MAC wallet, very unlikely for the wallet to be released
- It seems the initial release of the wallet was based upon old code, made it even vulnerable to Heartbleed!?!?!?
- The design was mainly done by Wulfcastle, so the core dev did not even invest as much as we might think
- The Oculus rift promotion has still not been confirmed as received or even payed by the dev, waiting for proof

Too many little things that seem to be wrong, sorry but I strongly believed this was a good coin however when you get soooo many signals it's better to save what is left, than to ride till death!

PS if you think he did a lot of work for so little, remember he was able to buy in VERYYY cheap as he was the dev! So he could have created several smaller wallets and sold when the price was high enough. That is something people seem to be forgetting, when you are the dev you can also trade but then with a bit of market knowledge! Besides this, if he " only"  earned about 15 BTC that still is a LOT of money for 1 month of part time work (especially when you are a student, like he is)!

I proved beyond any reasonable doubt that this was a scam, if you lost money you are a twat, if you are the scammer you will be caught.
If you would have taken the time to put together some PROPER evidence, as we have found in 1 hour, we could have stopped this.

Not saying you didn't do your best however screaming shit and calling names NEVER helps anybody. I posted this before, please give some evidence and not posting stuff as "6th of March" when it is actually "3th of March"!

Anyway people if the Dev DOES deliver tonight, you really going to buy in and support this coin..... Again the other 3 dev's have NOT heard a single word from him for days!!! No skype message, no message at the Development page, no update anywhere!

Sorry for everybody to find out like this but the longer we keep this going, the longer people will be tricked!

Changing whois is very smart, that's why they did that. Crypto is way too hostile to be in if you use your real name.

"crypto hitmans" such as MEGAman, are getting paid to take a certain coin down, that's why they are called hitmans, they have 90% succes rate, look in his post history, he attacks, BoostCoin, VeilCoin too.

Agree on that but still, his replies did not force the dev into selling premine, abandoning facebook and not replying to any of the other 4 dev's....
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 24, 2014, 11:54:54 AM
What the fuck, it makes no sense for the dev to run dumping his premine at such a low price with that many hours invested in the development and being on top of promises. Why not stick through it and continue developing, innovating?

Makes no fucking sense.
I totally agree, honestly I do however please follow the steps i posted.

you will find out for yourself that the dev has ran away! May look weird but if you think about it, maybe he has been buying coins really cheap in the beginning and selling them when it was 5K plus! so he could already have made 1000% of profit, the premine is public, however creating 50 wallets with "only" 200000 coins in it will not be very obvious.

So there are many ways he could have tricked us, point is that it does not look very bright right now. i am holding to a small amount of coins just for the case it's a set up fud with knowledge, however it seems the name of Silkcoin is already ruined!
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 24, 2014, 11:43:34 AM
Okey people, I must be honest that this does hurt saying but it seems the Dev ran away.

Couple of facts for believers, the "Dev" removed his name from the SilkCoin facebook page. So he liked a lot of posts in the past and is now "gone"  from that Silkcoin page. Want to find out for yourself, follow the steps below:
- Search for Whois from Silkcoin, open cached
- use lastname of registered whois to search google in combination with Silkcoin
- open the cached facebook website and see for yourself Cheesy

So think we have some evidence he is really leaving the boat, together with the fact that he sold the premine on mintpal. you can test it yourself by transferring some coins to the address the premine was moved to and then try to retrieve. You will get message "unable to withdraw from mintpal" bla bla bla
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 24, 2014, 08:19:47 AM
Come on everybody, think we have to be realistic! The dev's will NOT bail IF we show them there is some love / commitment in here, so stop calling names / pointing fingers and get a good vibe back!

Think we all need to realise that a crypto coin is much like a company, we are the people buying stuff from them and they are creating their "product". So we should be kept happy (indeed) but also we should allow the company to deliver. Compared to real-life, you see many company's struggling with communication when they are close to release. Look at Apple, people are always scared close to the release; will it be what they thought it would be etc. So keep faith and don't always believe what other people are saying / screaming.

Secondly, I bought in at 1000 so i have made some profit. Why not "risk" some profit and NOT sell already but help by keeping your coins and staying true to what you (once) believed! If we all acted more like this, there would not even be ANY dump. One little bump in the road and some of the (good) people who I have been seeing in this thread have left the ship.... Such a shame to lose people who really seemed to believe however this is also my main concern for  all crypto's; people who seem to have a strong opinion and vision just abandon it all for couple of bucks, that almost makes me want BTC and all coins to fail!
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 23, 2014, 10:27:40 AM
This is incredibly exciting.
Thanks also to the recent visitors in the thread.

There is basically no trading going on at the moment. Less than $100k per day is immaterial.
The reason for this is that people who wanted a stake in the coin already mostly bought in.

Some people along for the ride bought on the upswing with increased exposure prior to Mintpal listing and the second POW.
I can imagine, especially if people bought at 4000sats, that they might want to jump out now too.
This might be people who never actually took the coins off the exchange and into their wallets.

With an ecosystem as proposed by dev team, this will change things.

I am actually hoping someone can start using this thread for technical discussion etc rather than just the pro/con debate of peripheral things that has been the main focus recently.

Totally agree!! We as a community should collaborate not fight, like it was about a month ago. Let's bring the positive vibes back people Cheesy we need some mojo here!

So main question, what can we do as a community..... Is there a facebook and reddit page / bot, maybe we can help getting those more active?
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 22, 2014, 08:29:42 AM
I am not megaman, i had 80 000 silk coins and decided to dump them before they were completely worthless, you can too, before it's too late . .
Haha Thanks you for the fact based posts and constructive feedback. Really done well how you explain why this coin is dead.
SARCASM MODE OFF

We know this is all the same group/guy who only wants to buy cheap. Why would anybody write stuff about their tradestyle or whatever when they are not going to benefit from it. Or do I suddenly have made a lot of new friends who try to help me?
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 21, 2014, 12:51:07 PM
I am a little bit worry about dev's identify.
I see most of scam coin keep identify anon.
If this coin is really transparent, why dev not reveal their identify?

Ok, go and find Satoshi Nakamoto for us.
Good luck

Do you know what you ask?

I know you will ask me like that.
You don't know what you are talking about, you are comparing apple with orange.

Ya, satoshi is the origin dev and keep anon, but he is not the only dev of bitcoin.
Most of other devs who contribute to bitcoin reveal their identify.
What about silkcoin?? I see nobody reveal their identify.

I keep some silkcoin, so don't think I wanna silkcoin die, I am just asking something that I should ask, and I have right to know.

If you pretty sure silkcoin won't be scam, and you will refund me when it happen, I can just shut up.

Do you know what you ask?

Listen someone before pointed out that Satoshi still holds a huge amount of BTC.
So that's a premine scam too, isn't it?
That's not the point.
For me what's important is that BTC now exists. I'm investing in it, I believe in it as a way to make people aware of what money is. And not just that.

Coming back to our point I bought SC when it was around 1000 Satoshi. I'm supporting the network by leaving my wallet open and staking since the 9th of June. I think this can be a good altcoin. I like the way devs are dealing with us.
And I really don't care if they will make huge profits with it as long as they continue working on the project.

So, about you, I don't owe you anything. I think you know where to invest, what to do and whatever it takes.
I don't see why do I have to refund your errors.

Finally, I really don't care about anonimity in here, actually I kind of like it! That's why I'm here on Bitcoin Talk and not on facebook or twitter or whatever else.

See, I'm an old fashioned guy: I miss mailing lists, nice irc chats and so on when you're reputation was builded upon your actions and not who you were.
I really don't like this facebooking, google plussing, twitting oversocializing world.
I want the old internet back. That's why I like BTC.
Because I'm grateful to Satoshi Nakamoto even though  I really don't know anything about him.

That's it. Sorry for being long
Im in the 30 's and really understand what you are saying.  Honestly have never thought about it like this but some sort of anon does help to remove status issues or people screaming their status.  Its all about your vision, how you think and the things you can contribute.

Meaning to Say, I don't think It is oldfashion but more about people who have something to tell instead of something to give (money/goods)!
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 21, 2014, 09:57:33 AM

Don't make the man important. Actually, I am really greatfull to megaman. Because of him the price is depressed under 4000 sat for a couple of days and I already managed to accumulate over 600k SC now. When we see 10 k in a couple of days, I might reward him. What do you guys think, would 0.5 btc be an appriopriate reward for him when SC reaches 10K?

SC will never exceed 6000 again which is actually lower than where I told you all to sell at. It will almost certainly be under 2000 by this time next week. If the dev sees the writing on the wall and dumps before then it will be even lower. You guys just make up prices while I tell it like it is.

I think so too, volume is drying up, only some believers holding on, they will panic sell soon. The premine % is shocking

please rethink your investment and don't be the new bagholder here!

So... who should we sell to?
Say I am a massive bag holder. Say I mined and bought 3 mil SC. Rhetorically of course.
Now you have so nicely warned me of this "scam" from the goodness of your heart.
So now I will sell.. who should I sell to?
You want other people to buy and become bag holders? That doesn't make sense.
If this is a scam then I guess I will just have to put up with my loss. I shouldn't pass it on to other folk who are poorer than me.
But you suggest I do that. Like a ponzi scheme eh?
That is not very nice of you.

One option is that you are actually the scammer. Either trying to extort money from the dev like our friend MEGAtroll.
Or you are trying to buy up cheap coins. Either way, you are a liar and a fraud.
+10000 and now getting ready for some whitepaper release
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 21, 2014, 09:34:07 AM
This whitepaper had better be great Smiley I think listing the steps is a positive. Its also a positive to create some forward momentum. The fud will never stop but there is 1 thing that causes people to ignore fud. Thats green candles heading up. I believe this coin will approach 0.0006 in the next few weeks.

I admit the premine seems a bit steep but consider this are you going to work on a coin non stop for weeks for free?? Of course not. So lets see how this dev and his team continues forward.

Steve
Why everybody thinks so small minded, how on earth to create a good coin without any starting money? Yes you can get investors but that is exactly the oposite of openess. Any investor will manipulate the price for the benefit of himself.
Premine is needed to be independant and to build a stable platform and get momentum to make this a succes!
Every coin was spend by devs for the benefit of Silkcoin NOT for themselves!  Please do some research and look at the premine addresses and Actions.

People if you dont like the coin or what it will be, leave it alone and regret later. Or do you also walk into any store in real-life and scream stuff you dont like without any reason.....?
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 21, 2014, 08:56:04 AM
Guys any predictions on price once the whitepaper is out?

At least a dollar.

 Cheesy

This is the mentality we're dealing with here. Silkcoin is obviously overvalued right now at 2 cents and this guy thinks a whitepaper, which hundreds of coins have put out but never actually followed through on, will cause the price to jump over 50 times. Classic Silkcoin buyer right here. Zero clue.

Thanks for mentioning megaman. Pfff I really believed him and almost bought Silkcoin for all my money. Thanks again, you really saved me.

Its not about the whitepaper but what it is about! SILK COIN has an unique feature they call the eco-system.
