21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitshares 2.0 testnet black swan event yesterday on: October 02, 2015, 11:25:42 PM
Are you short newmine? If you didn't cover this morning it may already be too late...

Be careful out there.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: VIRAL IS DEAD on: September 23, 2015, 03:55:40 PM
Just wondering how long such fud threads like this last on here after months pass and they are proven to just be a total waste of bandwidth.

Judging from your history, I imagine you're just shamelessly self-bumping this thread with the notion that "any publicity is good publicity". You knew damn well this thread was over 2 months old and buried deep in the confines of the interweb, never to be seen again...until now.

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is still widespread confusion about BitShares PTS and Protoshares on: September 21, 2015, 02:59:29 PM
I am a PTS holder.  I have been a PTS holder for 10 months.  I have never received any sharedrops.  You are planning to sharedrop new DACs including Identibit, but you are not planning to drop it to PTS holders.

...well that is because you bought PTS after the hardfork that effectively merged PTS with BTS.

If it was a merge, the PTS coins wouldn't still exist separately.  They would have become BTS coins.  But they didn't, so it wasn't a merge.

That's why I said effectively merged. PTS' value became BTS' value. Since you can't kill a blockchain (you know, the whole point of crypto), that was the best that could be done.

Either way I'm pretty sure you're just trolling at this point. I'll just go back to watching the BTS price rise in anticipation for October 13th.  Roll Eyes

...well that is because you bought PTS after the hardfork that effectively merged PTS with BTS. Why the hell did you do that? PTS was kept alive after the hardfork due to a small group of die-hards that wanted to keep it running, but Invictus' association with PTS was more-or-less bought out in the merger. The promise of "sharedrops from future DACs" is kept alive through the BTS that all PTS holders received. Well, the ones that were smart enough to buy before PTS was killed off, that is.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitShares PTS - I'd like to see more sharedrops using Protoshares snapshots on: September 21, 2015, 10:22:16 AM

And of course I'am not sharedrop target anymore in percentage I invested.

The percentage you invested is low because the price has dropped severely over the past year -- you can't blame the devs because your investment isn't worth as much now.

Do you know what you're talking about?  I never got any BTS, AGS, or NOTE.

I bought PTS at Poloniex 10 months ago.  Poloniex honors sharedrops, but there has never been another sharedrop.

Besides, I don't have a BitShares wallet to import anything to, because the times I've tried to register a BitShares account, registration wasn't possible.  BTS from Poloniex can't be sent until you register an account, but you can't register an account without sending some BTS.  The only way is with a faucet, but there were no faucets the times I tried.

If you have a BitShares wallet, you can see how much BTS etc you've been sharedropped. Just because you haven't taken the time to see how much you received doesn't mean you haven't received anything.  Huh
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How many people will die because of the Bitshares Corporate Fascists/Communists? on: September 21, 2015, 01:18:34 AM
I see this thread has become the troll haven for BTS haters...but the price just keeps going up anyway. Hmm...
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitShares 2.0 - Just the Facts Thread on: August 31, 2015, 05:51:37 PM

DE, you're not fooling anyone.  Everybody knows that it's you.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is every Bitshares thread CENSORED? on: July 03, 2015, 10:42:37 AM
LOL, DE got so lonely not being allowed in the BTS threads that he makes his own thread crying about it.

"But, but guiz...I wanna play toooooo!!! Waaaahhh!!! Where else can I show off my l33t Photoshop skillz?!?! Waaaah!!!"

This is hilarious. Absolute gold.

Nice to see there's finally a place where you and chew kok can dish out your stupidity in peace.  Grin
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitShares greed 2.0, another money grab. on: June 19, 2015, 10:48:40 AM
Bah... every time that newmine sells low and buys high, we are forced to endure his nonsense.   Cheesy

Bytemaster and friends have you right where they want you.

I find it funny that the only justification you can come up with is that I am somehow trading based on my comments. I have never sold. I still have my Bitshares. Enough or small enough to where I won't cry over my loss. I have always thought bitUSD and the original vision was grand. The constant pivoting and money grabs make it hard to believe in anything these guys say. Licensing Bitshares code so they can profit was the kicker. You own BTS I assume? I do? BM does? We all own Bitshares and deserve a piece of the license. We all paid for it. They used your funds, my funds to write the code for Graphene or whatever. It was done on our dime and we never got what they promised for the get go. Just lies and stalling.

It's kind of like if Ford came to you and said "we need to build a factory with a revolutionary thing called an assembly line and you will be a partial owner of it, will you fund us?"
-you say, "hell yes, here's is a couple million"
-Ford says "cool it will be ready in a couple months. Then profit time for everyone !"
Couple months go by
-you say, "hey what's going on"
-they say, "we came up with a cooler idea and had to redesign"
-you say, "ok, when will it be done"
-they say, " a couple months"
A couple months go by
-they say, "we have the assembly line built, but it only has the ability to build 1/4 of a automobile"
-you say, " awesome. How long till it's fully completed?"
-they say, "a couple months, and we are coordinating a massive ad campaign to go along."
-you say, "sweet, can't wait"
A couple months go by, the assembly line is running better but still only builds 1/3 of an automobile
-they say "hey we are out of funds and need more money to finish. We have this great idea that we can pay ourselves in bits and pieces of what the assembly line produces to fund ourselves till the end of time. Otherwise we will go work for GM"
-you say, "just get us a completed assembly line and it's cool."
-they say, "no problem. We got this."
Assembly line then starts to stall because certain sections were installed backwards.
-you say, "hey, we walked through the plant and you have a problem that needs fixed"
-they say "we know. We are working on it"
A couple months go by
-you say, "Why hasn't the problem been fixed? We are losing money because of this.
-they say, "we are working on it, we know there is a problem"
-then they say, "guess what? We built a better assembly line that we will lease to you for free. But if you want upgrades, or fixes, you will have to pay us because we own the assembly line. Oh, and we reserve the right to help other people create assembly lines exactly like yours. AND, we will make people pay that want to partner up or streamline your assembly line in ways we cannot."
-You(Chryspano) said, "Where do I sign up, I'm on my knees waiting with my mouth open."
-I say, "WTF?"

...this was actually hilarious. Bravo Newmine  Cheesy.

But I don't really see the problem with the whole licensing thing. I see it as a smart way for the devs to actually make money working for BitShares as opposed to them just receiving more and more BTS to sell and push the price down with. The licensing gives them an economic incentive to work their asses off for BTS and receive a decent wage while doing it.

And BTS holders are getting a cut of it all. By holding BTS. The dev incentives, referral system, etc will work together synergistically to create an unstoppable behemoth of a blockchain, to the benefit of BTS.

Bytemaster has already said that their vision relies entirely on the success of BTS. And more announcements about how exactly this vision will be achieved are in the pipeline for the rest of the summer. After all they've developed and stated so far, I'm inclined to believe they know what they're doing.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone aware me on this Bitshares 2.0? Holders = losing money? on: June 18, 2015, 12:11:26 AM
Not sure if serious? BTS 2.0 will be sharedropped 1:1 on current BTS holders. Nothing changes allocation-wise.

?
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: "Bitcoin surges as Grexit worries mount, posts best run in 18 months" on: June 17, 2015, 12:51:41 PM
The thing about Cyprus then and Greece now is no one in that region is actually buying BTC - they're not exactly the most technological people and there isn't that many of them and they definitely didn't pile on BTC in the last days.  It's all speculators speculating on news that's happening in an area of the world they've never been to or only briefly whilst on vacation.

This. It's speculators reveling in a potential bank-fail scenario. Not Greece stocking up.
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] BitShares Centralized scam Exchange Network on: June 16, 2015, 02:18:45 PM
lol Newmine, the new DecentralizeEconomics (an alt, perhaps?). I expected better from you. And to think I used to see some of your points as valid and constructive...

You've become nothing but a baby crying over having its lollipop taken away, when your bullshit leading thread attacking the devs with zero facts was closed. Cry me a river. And cry harder as BTS takes off without your trolling ass on board.

I hold. Not because of your spew, but because I have nothing to lose.

That's right, you do hold a nice stash of BTS yourself, don't you? Never mind the BTS taking off without you comment. What exactly is your purpose here, then?

Kind of like Ripple.

Ripple seems to be doing pretty well for itself, dont'chya think?
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] BitShares 2.0 on: June 16, 2015, 10:29:00 AM
And people wonder why BTS never had an official bitcointalk thread...

If anyone out there is still reading this nonsense, please head over to bitsharestalk.org to get a clearer view of what BTS is and is trying to accomplish. Do your own research, then decide for yourself whether or not this is a project worth investing in. Don't let others do the thinking for you.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [satire] SCAM ---- TRUST ME ---- on: June 10, 2015, 01:57:45 PM
Guys seriously, this screams scam. I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole. Stay far away.

36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Two questions from a new enthusasist on: May 27, 2015, 10:15:11 PM
Bitcoin Checker for android is awesome. You can have prices of just about any altcoin at just about any exchange constantly updated as a notification in as little as 5 second intervals. Also set custom alarms to let you know when a price is moving fast. Good stuff.

lol BTT goes offline for a few days and everyone panics...hodl your coins dammit.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: [Crowd Funding] [VIRAL] Address request thread 4-29-2015 through 5-5-2015 remake on: May 05, 2015, 02:05:51 PM
The one-two punch of BTC released to devs early and updates to the crowdfund ledger being behind a full day (on the very last and most important day no less) makes this entire project very, very dangerous. The devs could easily throw our 100+ bitcoin back at the crowdfund anytime today and we'd be none the wiser.

Don't be surprised to find out tonight that 500+ bitcoin ended up getting donated. The uncertainty in this whole thing makes it a perfect scam opportunity. Couple that with Adam Guerbuez, BobSurplus, a "super elite" club of early IPO investors that get first-mover knowledge of important developments (i.e., a self-implemented pump group), and a heavily moderated Ann thread (I've personally seen at least 15 legitimate criticism posts deleted within seconds right before my eyes) and you've got a recipe for scam of the century.

I would stay far, far away from all this. A guaranteed bite in the ass.

Just remember, Adam Guerbuez is the asshole who flat out lied about big bitcoin news that would "turn heads"...turns out he was just being an attention whore.

39  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Price Is Right on: April 28, 2015, 02:56:09 PM
The price is going to continue falling. The main issue with Bitcoin is it's only really useful for criminals (drug dealing, money laundering, etc.)

Think about it: Why would someone convert their fiat into BTC so they can then go to Taco Bell, or Wal-Mart, or fill in the blank, and buy a bean burrito with bitcoin? The additional exchange step is unneeded. To make matters worse you have to keep a record of capital gains. And buying bitcoin is not easy.

Fact: Bitcoin is unneeded by 99% of the world population. It's a fun experiment with limited practical use.

Steve Jobs and Bill Gates created something that everyone wants, Satoshi created something that every criminal wants. Fortunately, there are a lot of criminals in the world to sustain the currency, but there's not enough ordinary consumer demand to get bitcoin mainstream.

This makes the most sense out of everything posted so far. BTC sounds awesome to libertarians/techno-geeks/criminals/gamblers such as us fine forum-goers, but we make up a pretty damn small portion of the world population. Joe Schmo doesn't care how his coffee is paid for as long as it's fast and convenient, and nothing beats credit cards/cash for convenience at this point.

Lol everything about this thread/coin is hilariously chauvinistic...y'all wouldn't know what a woman wants if she bit you in the ass.
