OP: I don't understand why you're pegging the coin's value to EUR yet the block reward is totally disproportionate to the cost of mining it. A single block is supposed to be worth EUR 1000?  Even with difficulty at around 20 you could generate EUR 1000 worth of coins in 24 hours with only 1MH/s of hashing power. In this case the coin's value would be 1000+ times the actual cost to mint it. ...plus a 2m EUR premine just screams greed... The pre-mine WILL CHANGE along with the other values to best meet the needs. Along with on an outline to how it will be spent to ensure everyone how ALL the funds will be spent. Most if not all funds will go to bounties and giveaways. The OP has been edited. My focus for this is creating the first stable coin doing so by retaining the value of the Euro, not profiting. For those of you questioning the market, I'll say this again As Major Piece is different than the usual crypto-currencies different practices will have to be implemented. We will be working this out with exchange sites to find the best possible solution. We are working hard with many people to ensure Major Piece's success. The most revolutionary ideas start at inception with people saying it will never work. Many people said Bitcoins couldn't work and look where they are now. I could give numerous examples but bottom line, we will do everything possible to succeed. You're missing a very fundamental part of the puzzle. The only way you can execute this is if you were to do 100% premine and sell each coin for a euro. Very true, there is no possible way to control the value of a currency unless you have 100% control over it. (central banks the world over can attest to this very fact). While I like the idea, it just isn't going to be practical in the wild. You do not have the 1,000,000,000 EUR it would take to back each coin. So the only other alternative would be like this individual suggested, 100% premine, and sell each coin for 1 EUR each. But with that in mind you could never claim it to be decentralized and miners would have virtually no incentive to mine it. |

I stopped mining this coin because of the 1.9% insta mine.
If a Dev takes this over, rewrite the code to completely ignore the initial 1.9% pre-mine. I'd come back and mine it then if the original dev(s) are cut out of the loop completely.
They had some moron in a chat room auctioning off the pre-mine for 0.4 btc. They tried to pump and dump this coin and miners abandoned it leaving them with a premine that isn't worth the time it took to modify the code to get it.
Good idea, and could be a really valuable coin. Current dev's are worthless. They couldn't even take the time to go over the window's wallet code. There are still a number of area's where "Zetacoin" is referenced....

Nope this coin isn't going anywhere. Dev's haphazardly introduced the coin to begin with. No block explorer, pre-mined, no PIcoin website. This coin is done. Stick a fork in it. difficulty is at 17.3k lol |

Site looks great! I've been mining Primecoin since August of 2013. Glad to see a more professional looking website. I even created a primecoin mining script if someone happens to be a system admin as I am to push it down to client machines, and after a period of time self terminates and removes itself from the machines to repeat the process the next day. Just another scam coin.
There was a "promoter" in the chatroom Mech posted earlier asking for 0.4btc to get in on the "pre-mine".
Don't waste your time with it guys, 3 days of waiting just to be screwed. Thanks but no thanks dev's we have our own fiat currency, federal and state governments to do that. We don't need some one else to introduce another method. Keep your pre-mined scam coin and shove it.

Ohh that's harsh... LoL It's kind of shitty to do this 3 nights in a row. 1st night, yeah some bugs understandable. I develop too, and can relate. 2nd night.. Ok so you couldn't get it to compile. Fair enough. But you've had all day to get it compile, I could of built an entire dev machine with all the tools and compiled the windows client with that amount of time. 3rd night, no excuses, I'm done. I will not be mining this coin. I vote you as the new dev...will 24hrs be enough time? Honestly I wouldn't even bother at this point. You need at least a small group to join in first to be a node for the network until it can grow. But if he was having a hard time getting the windows client to compile that only happens for a couple reasons. Something wrong with the compiler, or the code. |

Thanks for the update.
I agree, only you or someone you're working with should compile the code. Whoever compiled it here would have a 5-10 minute advantage to mine the coin while others are downloading, installing and configuring the client.
With a coin with this small of block reward, and rarity. Best just delay the launch if you can't get it compiled.

i mined there all ngiht and got my coins just now (evening). WTF, not even a lot of coins. I didn't even make it that long. 3% pre-mined, pools unable to stay up. Solo mining just gave me nothing but orphans. Dev telling people who ask honest questions about such a large pre-mine where the door is I'm done mining this coin and I won't be back. 0.25% is more reasonable and won't collapse the market when and IF the coin ever gets admitted to the exchange screwing the miners who mined it. Current block reward, dev has majority stake in coin for the next 3 years if it survives that long. The way it was handled, and with the large pre-mine I don't think it'll make it 6 months. But I'm an optimist. |

I created an account at Bitcointalk.org so that I could comment about this Bot. I purchased the Platinum package of the BTCRobot November 18th, right when the price of BTC started spiking. I started with 3 BTC's. After a month of hemorrhaging, I finally had enough and asked for a refund. It left me with 1.32 BTC when it was all said and done. I've since created my own trading bot, and have recouped some of my losses.
To anyone reading this thread, absolutely DO NOT BUY THIS BOT!!! You will lose your ass if you put your faith in it.

Hello, how do bitcoin exchanges set prices?
Prices are set up by people who Buy and sell there. not by exchanges. Correct, Exchanges just offer the service of sending FIAT too, to buy/sell/trade BTC's. They take their commission on every buy / sell order to keep the exchange (hopefully anyway) secure, and up and running. |
