21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Beta looking for additional miners on: March 05, 2014, 11:51:29 PM
I've never had any issue with sgminer 4.1.0.  Running it across 4 rigs currently, which has been across probably 4 different pools.

Sorry if this is a silly question. How to Payouts work? Is it like other multipools where it auto pays after .01 and any balances over .001 are paid on Sundays? Can you manually cash out? Thanks for your help!

You set your own pay out amount.

I broke my leg (broke the lower bone in half and pierced my skin) riding a motorbike. You must love us motorbike riders. Fortunately I was wearing full protective gear, but experienced the shortcomings of ankle high boots rather than full boots.

I've had a couple bad ass injuries like that.  One guy ran his bike into a tree.  Damn near amputated his lower leg just from the impact.  I believe he lost it later in surgery.  He didn't have on full height boots.  Ride safe my friend.

Hi,

Is there a list of coins CleverMining can mined?

I don't need to know which coins is actually mined (although that could be very nice to know but I understand that could reveal some of the mechanics behind the scenes) but having the list of coins that could potentially be mined by CleverMining would be very helpful.

Thank you

He's already answered that several times.

Copying his system? I would like to see what I am mining

We are selling all mined coins to exchange them to bitcoins, so what's the difference what coins we were mining? I don't want to disclose neither list of coins nor any other details on how the engine works. I hope most people won't mind as long as profits are good Smiley

All scrypt coins are fair game.

Rather than whining about it, why doesn't the pool operator update the initial post in this thread?
Currently it says:
Quote
All technical problems has been solved!
Rejected ratio is back low again.

So it is hardly surprising that people think something is wrong when they get higher reject rates here that at other pools, it it?

Yeah it doesn't help. When they do read, they read the wrong post. Rather than something more recent like the last few posts....

Interesting bit of psychology there, people not using common sense is wide spread in humanity... so it shouldn't be any different here.

I'm a paramedic by profession.  I can tell you that the vast majority of people are morons.

Just need someone to post asking for help and complaining about high rejects...

I was crusading earlier in the thread.  Reading is difficult it appears, reading comprehension even more so.

Hey Terk - can you confirm if your custom stratum software follows the standards (meaning scan-time, expiry and queue settings local to our miners are meaningless), or if we specify settings that they are in fact not ignored?

Those settings are client side only.

In theory Stratum server implementation should send those settings to clients as well as send work restart command as soon as a block change.

Those settings are defaulted locally by the respective miner, or set locally via command line or conf file.  Just in case I was mistaken, I just ran through slush's stratum server source and couldn't find any relevant source that would transmit those settings to the clients.  I did just work 12 hours though, I might have missed it if it was in there.

Mining clients do move on when they receive a new block message.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 03, 2014, 02:25:33 PM
Why do rejects matter if the overall profit is stil higher than other pools, if your not happy about the amount of rejects why bother making a post saying screw this till they fix it, just quietly leave and dont let the door hit your ass on the way out.

For myself and a lot of others Profit is the name of the game and here we personally see higher profit, im not going to go into maths because that has already been done to death. Terk has already stated he's working on it and for the love of god he's worked his ass off to provide a great pool, it takes times ti fix things, its not as though there is a massive team behind the scene's to listen to everyones little whim's its one man doing a great job.

the other region servers are on their way and will be ready when the work has been completed and Terk is satisfied with the process until then give it a rest please.

People don't read to help themselves, instead post expecting help. I don't hold out much hope that they will heed your plea.

The widespread lack of reading etc is obvious, based on responses in this thread.

You are my hero!

just curious about which coins are being mined and their profitability, if you have some spare time could you add that to the site?

Terk already noted elsewhere he wasn't going to release info.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 02, 2014, 02:01:54 PM
Some of these rookies need to put down the stats, go outside, have a beer, and check back on their miners (and profits) in a week or so.

Checking your stats in a less than 24 hour period is helpful for long term prediction of ...anything.

On rejection complaints:

Most, if not all of rejection complaints are coming from people with little to no experience in mining.  Hashing Xmh/s doesn't make you experts at mining, it just mean you have much $$ to throw around.

What you all fail to understand is that mining has MANY variables and you can't just implement 1 setting to all pools.  Here @ CM, fast coins are mined as SAID MANY TIMES BEFORE.  That means you need to make adjustments in your config file to make it suitable. It's NOT ONE SIZE FITS ALL.

Here's my suggestion: Read up and understand how mining works.  Yes, that means study it.  In this instant gratification world, I know it's something hard to do, but that's what it takes.  Otherwise your rejection will continue to be high.  Guess what?  It's your own damn fault.  Many good suggestion were posted in this thread, but obviously you all are too lazy to look it up OR understand how it works.

Since the fix implementation of about week ago, Terk has done what he could to bring rejections down.  I have less than 5% rejection running for good week now.  Experienced miners already made the changes and are doing just fine.  Newbs are ones that can't grasp this concept.

On server complaints:

Have patience.

Have a nice day.

I've seen this response almost every time someone asks about rejects.  It's basically "blah blah blah, you need to learn about mining and making changes to your config, but I'm not going to provide you with any other information it's secret to me you're too new blah blah blah".

It's getting tiring.  A few people have suggested adjustments to queue length, scan time and expiry time - and others explained why increasing or decreasing would have an impact on multipool vs. standard coin (this was great advice).

What other advice can we share to tweak our configs?  (instead of hoarding it).

Getting asked about rejects over and over and over and over and over and over.  Repeatedly.  In different threads even.  THAT shit is getting old, and why you see old timers getting butthurt.  ALL the information you want to know, could know, would ever NEED to know is contained in these forums.  Search them.
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 28, 2014, 01:09:05 PM
With everything else being equal (ie BTC per MH/s per day), if there is a choice between 5-10% and 1% reject rate, which is the better choice?

Not a difficult answer.  Has been answer in this thread and many other threads before it.  The MC has ~500 pages of information, a lot of it based around the question you asked.

If high rejects make you feel bad, then move along to another pool that has lower rejects.  I personally don't care if I have 99.999999% rejects as long as I am making more than I would at another pool.
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 28, 2014, 09:58:02 AM
5-10% is acceptable in a coin switching pool.  On a super fast coin, rejects can be upwards of 20%.  Terk has figured that all into his algorithm.

This:

Has got to stop.

Edit: My rejects on MC were ~7.5% or so for months on end.

Fighting a nasty DDOS Sad
Well, you know you've arrived, then. Wink

This DNS amplification stuff is so dumb.  All my favorite sites are DDOS'd on almost a daily basis.
36  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Armory - Discussion Thread on: February 26, 2014, 02:50:59 PM

Armory crashes for me also as soon as it gets 100% sync'd with the network.  Is there a debug log I can send the devs?

This is the win7 crash notes for what it's worth.

Are you syncing with a wallet loaded?

I get a crash on Windows 7 pretty much as soon as I try to start the program, with the testing version.

0.90-beta runs fine for me on Windows 7.

Rebuild your DB. We use a different leveldb block size in this version and that can mess up existing DBs.

I do have one wallet loaded.

On windows 7 I cannot get the new version to run without crashing.  I tried deleting the appdata folder but it always crashes after synchronizing with network. .88 is working on this machine (kinda, crashes every couple days).

You guys really need to be looking at cgminer stats, not the web stats.  web stats are accurate'ish, but not very precise.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 23, 2014, 12:17:06 AM
Can you bring the others servers online? Or someone fix the existing server. I'm getting poor performance, high rejects and well cgwatcher is restarting the miner as the server is not giving me enough work.

Are you able to give an eta on when the new servers will come online? Or are we to get silence from you?

Yes I'm a bit frustrated.

how about, get back in your corner and have some patience. there has been an update from Terk in the last couple of hours stating that he is fixing a problem with the Stratum server and when that is complete he will be deploying international servers.

if you are frustrated, take the gamble and move to a less profitable Pool with less rejection rate. Or, sit it out, DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and still make some Coins.

Being a faceless account on the internet doesn't give you the right to be impatient and rude.

Setup a Failover Pool if you're worried about losing out in making money from doing nothing all day long..

He is making money off our backs.... so....(quite a lot, if he wasn't making so much I wouldn't be so demanding).

Well just agree to disagree, I just hope people have more patience than me, the pools rep isn't damaged and this doesn't take more than a few hours to resolve.

If you don't complain, nothing will get fixed...

I'm frustrated so I lack patience. So I'm seeing red.

That sad, he is no cryptsy.

Go the fuck somewhere else then if you are so angry.  I'm sure middlecoin would love to add you to the pool since they lost 10 GH/s over the last few days.

Always astonishing how people defend a pool owner that should have this shit fixed.

I'm not defending a pool owner.  I'm admonishing stupid users.  The pool has gone from < 1 GH/s  to almost 7 GH/s in in ~ 6 days.  As a sysadmin, watching people bitch about rejects in light of how popular the pool has gotten so quick, and not understanding the technology behind is infuriating.  Whine, moan, and bitch about how they are being "had" has Terk runs off with bags of cash without caring about his userbase.  It's the exact opposite.  He's been a quick and attentive sysop and has been rolling out fixes as issues have cropped up.  If you have issue with the pool, go to another one.  There are bunch to chose from.
